Guest Reviews
- Adrian (2/5): - Booked to stay 4 nights, Sept 2025. Was given a room 'upgrade' at reception. On entering the room, a strong musty, moldy smell. I tried to ignore it but within 30 minutes my chest was tight and I was repeatedly coughing. Its a pity I cannot upload pix of the AC unit in bedroom. Looks like it hadnt been cleaned in years.
I tried sleeping in a face mask, but no benefit. Couldn't take any more so got up at 5.10am and walked around the car park to get fresh air. Waited until reception opened at 7am and checked out. It was unlikely any of the other bedrooms would have been any cleaner.
Now daylight, I could see many of the areas if the hotel were closed, disused: Spa, meeting rooms, dining rooms. It's a shame and I understand: no revenue, no money to spend on maintenance, cleaning.
- Patrick (4/5): A disappointing experience - Overall very disappointed. Based on the reviews left by many previous customers, we were excited about the chance to stay at the Paradise. However I'm afraid we will most definitely be looking for other options should we return to Udon Thani.
Positives:
- location is central within a healthy walking distance to Central
- spacious car parking (we didn't use :-))
- breakfast was one highlights of the stay. Mixture of both local and western options, ordered off the menu. Unlimited toast (and strawberry đ jam, đ)
Negatives: (sorry for list but for full transparency, here goes)
- overall everything is dark, depressing and in urgent need of update. The pool is small and unswimmable (green with bits floating in it). The one smallish elevator seemed to have the 3rd floor button permanently lit up and needed multiple encouragement to go to requested floor
- There seemed to be fire on the second floor a year ago. Whilst the area is cordoned off inside, the aftermath of the fire is in plain site from outside. Unsure what the repair plans are but it added to the overall feeling of despair
- The room is a good size but the linen (pillow, towels etc) were stained and dirty. Fridge had stuff from previous customer and the TV didn't work. On a positive note, they quickly found us another room. Thank you
- lastly there was a leak in the washroom sink or pipes. By this time, it was late and we were tired from our experience so we sacrificed our towel to clean up after brushing teeth etc
- Paul (6/5): - The price was very good in my opinion. The service was fine. The location is convenient, and it is quiet.
The property itself isnât that nice. The pool is nasty. I wasnât there long enough to experience the amenities.
- david (4/5): - I booked based on the pool as shown in the expedia website. Arrived only to find that the pool was closed due to maintenance???? For
$20 more a night, book a much nicer hotel.
- Keith (10/5): - Was a convenient one night stay. Thank you .
- B2286BCdanield (2/5): Not worth you staying here. Much better places at the same price - First of all, I would not be calling this a three-star hotel. It's barely a two-star hotel at that. I first walked into the lobby and it was dark and gloomy. Then when I first made this booking it said the pool would be closed until the 31st of May. I rock up to the lobby desk and it says pool still closed for maintenance. I'm not sure why they could not update their website cuz I could have cancelled the booking before got to my room and it hadn't seemed like it'd been cleaned properly. There was no tea, coffee, shampoo, conditioner or even soap. There was an extra bottle of water left in the freezer of the fridge and I had requested a double bed and so they just pushed two singles together and left them as singles
- PatrickSatoLee (8/5): Nice Local Hotel - Nice local hotel which lack maintenance, trapped in the 90s but I like it for its charms. It does have that Centara Hua Hin vibes but of a bygone era. Beside that, the staff are friendly and the food Aroy.
The room are nice and comfortable, but my standard room bathroom is small and easily flooded, the family suite are bigger and better.
It is located close to city centre, Central Plaza is just a walk away.
Recommended to stay here for a night or 2.
- PAUL (6/5): - Old hotel pool not maintained and not clean
No water pressure for butt gun
My room had no view
- brian3777 (10/5): Beautiful hotel - The hotel is close to the city, walking distance.
But, is in a quiet area, no noise.
The restaurant is very nice, good food, friendly staff, and air conditioned.
The place to stay in Udon Thani.
Another great stay in a great hotel.
- Anulak (6/5): - The AC compressor outside the window was too loud also the room i stay smell moldy and can see some mold in the shower
- BRIAN (10/5): - The hotel is situated in quiet and calm area of Udon.
It is minutes walk away from the city centre.
It is an oasis of calm.
The coffee shop is perfect for dinner in the evening, Noy the manager will look after your every need..
- Bangoe (10/5): Still the place to stay in Udon Thani - I've stayed here many times during the last years. I'm happy so see that in spite of the tough times or the hotel industry they manage to keep the hotel and the rooms in perfect condition. And still the same friendly staff. And a good breakfast to start the day.
The Internet is now working fine.
So if you're looking for a central location, this is the place to stay.
- BRIAN (10/5): - Another great stay at this hotel.
Its been 2 years.
But the standards are the same as always.
Thank you everyone.
- Douglas (10/5): Nice hotel in Udon Thani. - Ver nice hotel. Good breakfast. Big rooms. Quiet.
- DarrenRawlins (8/5): Good value hotel 4.5* out of 5 (read why!) - I booked a double superior room with breakfast at the Paradise hotel for a night out in Udon Thani in December 2019.
The hotel is tucked away down a quiet side road and was roughly a 5 minute tuk tuk drive away from the mall and the main bar area. There is ample parking at the premises and first impressions were that it was a little older looking than the internet pictures but not bad. Check in was very swift and within 5 minutes we were in our room. I have to say that the room was quite stylish, better than expected for the price and with a small balcony over looking a neat pool. The reason I knocked a star off my review scoring was that unfortunately although the hotel says 'no smoking rooms' the room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Room servicing must have noticed this and actions such as washing the curtains should have been taken. That said although we weren't impressed It didn't ruin our stay and I would book this hotel again but would inspect the room first! Other facilities at the hotel included a gym and a bar which looked very inviting with a pianist playing but we didn't get a chance to sample a drink there. The breakfast was simple and freshly cooked. I had my favourite basil chicken, fried egg and rice with coffee and it was of a good standard.
All of the staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful. We paid a very good rate for the Paradise hotel and it is a good budget choice for the city!
- Davidnsom (10/5): Great hotel - Four of us shared a family room just for one night and we were really impressed. The hotel looks a bit old from the outside but once you step inside itâs a different scene. Our room was really large with a magnificent king bed and two king singles. The bed was among the most comfortable I have enjoyed over the years.
There was a large lounge to relax on as well as a big flat screen tv. Also tea and coffee facilities. We ordered room service for dinner and it was good quality food at a reasonable price.
The bathroom was large, with two showers and two basins as well as one toilet. Well you wouldnât want to go to the toilet as a couple would you?
Our booking included free breakfast (no doubt added into the room price) but it was very good. A nice variety of dishes, Thai of course plus some western items. It is served near the outdoor pool in a nice relaxing environment.
We also had a free shuttle to pick us up from the airport, about 10 minutes away, and we had no trouble finding our driver, who was extremely courteous and delivered all of our luggage direct to our room. The desk staff were also very friendly and obliging.
Overall I was very pleased with our stay and honestly I wouldnât hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
I will certainly stay here again.
- Anthony (4/5): Good - Good hotel nice room but bit far out and didnt feel safe walking back to hotel
- Thomas (2/5): Bar woman hotel.... noisy - Hotel is very nice. Staff very good. We stay only only 1 night because we passing through.Had a long travel the next day to bangkok. Unfortunally we did not get much sleep, because of the neighbours next door. They very noicy all night.... we had a room with connecting door, and the wall very thin. They party all night.its a shame this hotel allow prostitutes arrive on this hotel. We choose this hotel because its a family hotel and silent. We will never come back
- brian3777 (10/5): Home from home in Udon thani - Another fantastic stay in the best hotel in Udon thani, thank you everyone for a great holiday.
All the staff are wonderful, always smiling.
The pic is my work station in hotel room, how good is that for an office.
- Bjorn134 (6/5): If you nead internett, find another hotel. - Very dissapointed. I stayed in one room in 2. floor. 14.des.2019---16.des.2019. My friend stayed in the room next to me. In both rooms, internett did not work . I complayed. Hotel restarted router, but, same problem. NEVER again on this Hotel.
- GaryMuc (6/5): Quiet buget hotel with pool - The hotel is centrally located but away in a little, quiet lane. Walking distance to restaurants and Central Mall. The pool is in the backyard and rooms facing the pool can be noisy due to people at the pool. Breakfast is average, mostly asian dishes, service is poor. Room is spacey and comfortable. Unfortunately rooms are not very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything perfect I love this place. Thank you so much for excellent services.
- Stefan (10/5): My preferred hotel in UT. - All good.... nice breakfast, piano bar, swimming pool, complimentary airport transfer.
Highly recommended.
- shaun (8/5): Udon Thani secret - Always a nice stay and great management
- Bangoe (10/5): Great hotel in perfect location - Nice clean rooms that are perfectly prepared before arrival. Nice attentive staff and a super location to explore the city. Airport pick-up and transfer is also practical. And a good breakfast to start the day. Only issue is Wi-Fi which is rather erratic. I would hope they can fix this soon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff were lovely, good food clean rooms, would recommend it, would stay there next time l go.
- kerrie john (10/5): Udon thani - Very good as usual
- Steve (8/5): - Comfortable hotel in a quiet spot but still close to everything.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Prime location near to everything within walking distance of central festival & nightlife
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel but no hot water - No hot water kept telling hotel and they just kept saying it was ok
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is in a great location.
Not far from the town centre, but very quite area.
Very beautiful hotel.
- Garry (10/5): Best ever - Service and staff outstanding.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staff always friendly and extremely helpful. A very clean and tidy hotel
- Jason (10/5): Great week away but in the city - Very nice hotel situated in the city center but made so to be quiet and peaceful. Excellent staff very courteous and helpful. Free shuttle service to central plaza mall several times a day great pool and day spa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Another great stay at Paradise Hotel.
Swimming pool, and gym, are still excellent.
I would like to thank both managers for the excellent letter and present they gave me. It was unexpected and a very nice surprise.
Thank you everyone at Paradise Hotel.
- waynemD8478FW (8/5): Fishing trip - My first thoughts on this hotel was where on earth am I , but itâs in a unsightly area although I feel safe here itâs 10 minutes walk to the centre of udon .the hotel itself is clean staff are help full and friendly my room is small but pretty bed is comfy one major problem for me was there WiFi was on and off very weak signal after reporting it and no improvement Ive given up on it shame this would stop me staying here again I need WiFi the breakfast is different some very spicy dishes omelettes scrambled egg where exceptional staff where very attentive sort your WiFi out
- chiangraibobby (10/5): Enjoyable Hotel in very good location - Had a good stay in this landmark hotel. Great location and within walking distance of city center and Central Mall. Shopping and restaurants easily accessed from hotel. Service was excellent and the staff was very helpful in every situation. I do recommend the Deluxe Room. Hotel has airport pick-up and return service to airport which is close-by. Just reserve the transportation ahead of time. In addition, Tuk-Tuk's were in area for local travel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice garden environment & pool area, restaurant is very small with limited selection, staff were very good.
- WestlanderI (8/5): Fine hotel - A fine hotel with comfortable rooms. Shower could be a bit better aspecially a bit higher! But it was clean, good bed and great breakfast. Nearby the center of the city, but not on a busy road or nearby all the bars!
- newlydiate (6/5): Nice hotel - We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room overlooked the pool on the 2nd floor which was a junior suite. We spent our days by the pool after breakfast which was ok. Shopping mall about a 10min walk away. The only thing which was a bit of a problem was only having one key for the room, my husband went out to watch football and left the key with me which of course operates the electric, I slept before he got back and it took about 20 mins for staff to get a key to let him in. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quite hotel, close to the city centre.
Very nice pool, and piano bar.
- John (10/5): A great place to stay in Udon Thani - The Paradise Hotel in Udon Thani is a very pleasant place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and the pool and surrounding landscaping are beautiful. Breakfast buffet is satisfactory. The local area offers great shopping, interesting bars and lots of great restaurants, all within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel. A good place for anyone: single, couples or families. I do not recommend the nearby massage shop down the street, though: not professional masseuses, and thus the massage was not enjoyable.
- Prof587 (8/5): Rooms comfortable - Upside: comfortable room, good breakfast, beautiful pool, reasonably close to mall, free shuttle service to shopping.
Downside: âGarden viewâ rooms not all garden views (see latest photo). No iron available.
- kerrie john (10/5): Udon thani - Like very much nice & quiet but can go to all the clubs Eating around udon if close to shopping & has a nice swimming pool
- Verified traveler (8/5): Off the Beaten Path is Paradise - Good hotel with a great staff.
- Sharon (10/5): - This hotel had the charm and comfort that you expect. The staff went way out of their way to make us feel welcome! The food was great and the bed was soft. I especially enjoyed the live music and blue lemonade. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Wong (10/5): - Good location , near bus station, railway station and shopping complex. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Certainly the staff are very helpful.
- SCOTT (6/5): Good hotel nice swimming pool - Nearly everything was very good with the hotel nice room good breakfast buffet swimming pool was a good size Free shuttle to take you shopping or airport. The only problem was the air conditioning. We complainted about A/C in our first room not cooling enough so we move to another room which was not much better.
- 770bobr (8/5): very good - Third visit to hotel with golfing friends. Usual high standards, good check-in, nice clean and comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate. Did not get to use the pool this time because of weather!, as usual very nice breakfast which is included in rate
- Andrew (10/5): - Nice quiet hotel very friendly and relaxing
- markbruk (10/5): Best breakfast in Thailand - In its class the included breakfast is outstanding. We had a standard room, which was ok - nothing to write about. But the breakfast! The fruit was perfectly ripe and plentiful. The chef offered many types of cooked4u eggs and also dollar pancakes. For me an ok bed with a great breakfast is far more important than the opposite.
- Brian (10/5): - Another very happy stay in Paradise hotel.
- Jackie (4/5): Close to city - Breakfast was terrible ,Service was bad
Swimming pool ok but kid slider was damage,no body seem to care
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel and within down town attractions. Nice and friendly staffs.
- alan (4/5): Good position - Staff had no idea about anything no English and didn't seem to care about finding a solution
- jason (10/5): Quit location in center of city - Very quit area but close to shopping and restaurants
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Great hotel. Stayed only one night but very efficient staff, clean rooms with all the amenities.
- Steve (8/5): Top pick in Udon Thani - Have stayed here before but had trouble with wifi and screaming kids at the pool on this occasion. Still my preferred hotel in Udon.
- AnneL727 (6/5): Excellent value ,good location - easy walking distance to shopping. Clean good sized rooms . Nice pool helpful English speaking ataff and a good breakfast. Also has an excellent spa where tou can get resonably prices thai massage and beauty treatments
- Tan (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel. value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice older hotel
- Spacious , clean and comfortable rooms. Staff excellent from check in to check out. Very good breakfast buffet. A bit noisy outside door at night. Can hear too much. Very nice pool area although the pool was closed due to renovation. Many English TV channels. Overall a good stay.
- Twinny (6/5): Good location - One of the main reasons that I chose this hotel was the large swimming pool featured in its profile. However, this was closed for what appeared to be extensive repairs and I was somewhat disappointed.
- brian3777 (10/5): Great Hotel, Quite location. - Paradise Hotel, is located in the centre of Udon Thani.
It is a very short walk to the Central Mall, and lots of bars, and restaurants.
The rooms are modern, large, and clean.
The staff in the hotel are Helpfull, and always smiling.
I have read a review here about the reciepion staff. All I can say is they were allways helpfull and diligent in every way.
I would like to say a special thank you to Noi, and Am for all there help and big smiles.
I recommend the Paradise to everybody.
- Ronald (10/5): - Overnight stay very good. Will return later for longerđđ
- Onanong (8/5): Will go back for sure - Nice hotel for business trip
- brian3777 (10/5): Great Hotel, quite location. - Very nice hotel, quite location.
In the centre of Udon Thani.
I would like thank Ning, and Am for there help, and always smiling.
- Elton (8/5): Always Good - Iâve stayed here now 3 times and is always good. Nice pool, good breakfast, good staff and near central plaza, bus station etc
- Gregory (8/5): Great pool, nice gardens - This place is good but away from many things to do.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place to stay and close to many facilities
you can go to central plaza within 5 minutes
- Brian (10/5): Great hotel in centre of Udon - Great hotel. Very nice staff, I would like to thank the day supervisor Malasri for always smiling very helpful, and makes a great cocktail. If there was one thing I would change, it would be the breakfast bacon, it would be nice cooked fresh so it arrives hot. Apart from that, great hotel.
- John (8/5): Nice hotel near city center - Paradise Hotel is a nice hotel close to city center. For the price it was a good place to stay. It's also not too far from the markets.
- Steve (8/5): Quiet location - Gave this Hotel a second chance after a very bad experience at check-in 18 months ago and pleased to say that this time everything went very well. It's a good hotel and I will definitely be back.
- Brian (10/5): Very nice hotel - This is a new hotel, close to the city centre.
There is a piano bar at night, with the hotel supervisor Noy, doing a very professional job, of making a very cool mohito cocktail.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - Very clean and comfortable hotel friendly staff good food very close to town centre and markets
- Musa (8/5): Nice small cosy hotel for family - I found the hotel staff to be very helpful but need to improve their English. We had two children, one is six and the other is ten.... we stayed in 2215 and 2234 ... 2215 2 adults and a child like your printout in my hotel confirmation and an adult and a child in 2234.... and we had to pay for a child.... not complaining... just bringing up a point.
- kerrie john (10/5): Udon thani - Ok very good
- kerrie john (10/5): Udon Thani - Very nice
- PIerre (8/5): good hotel, good location . - bed squeaky , good for sigle LOL
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel clean rooms comfortable nothing really to complain about. Staff helpful close to everything
- Robert (10/5): Great hotel - Could not fault it, good service, rooms, facilities, location, breakfast & price
- Ranjit (Muay) (6/5): Avoid the weekend crowds - Stayed 03-Sep-2016 for 2 nights in Deluxe room-3114 with breakfast. Room had a small balcony and clothes rack for hanging wet washing. Double bed was two singles pushed together. No teas/coffees or kettle in room, but we managed to borrow a free kettle from reception for 2 days with a refundable deposit.
Breakfast was a little chaotic with breakfast coupons that the waitress had to check against her list, which took a while. With a queue of people waiting many of us were then waved through without her checking (a lot of weekend Thai tourists). The next day, a Monday, it was very quiet and breakfast was in a smaller room.
There's a nice clear pool with an adjoining childrens pool & slide.
The door chain to our rooms was difficult to release/unfasten from the door frame and took a while every time. This would be very scary in an emergency evacuation.
Hotel is close to town centre, but we took tuk-tuk taxis.
The 5th floor was a dangerous worksite area that was not cordoned off and was accessed on immediately stepping out of the lift (see photo).
- Robert (10/5): The best value in udon by far - I have stayed in udon thani many times. i have stayed in the top six rated hotels, and paradise wins out. It has an excellent pool, a bar lounge with an in house piano player, excellent breakfast, ample parking.
The room service is good. The room is very comfortable, the bed, shower etc all excellent. It is close to central plaza and ud town.
The style of the hotel is a little older but it is maintained to a very high standard and does not have a tired or worn feeling about it. It is quite pleasant
I will be making this the hotel of choice now
- Dag (8/5): Paradise hotel Udon Thani. - I was disappointed in the beginning. The bathroom was dirty. But I contacted the maid and it was well taken care off. I liked Paradise hotel , nice swimming pool. Wifi was working well. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. The hotel provides free shuttle bus to the airport. Free shuttle bus leaves the hotel for several city destinations during the day. I will recommend the hotel and will definately return myself.
- Timothy (10/5): A great friendly hotel - A great little hotel off the main road and therefore quiet. Central to a large shopping mall, night market, entertainment area and a vast variety of food halls and street food vans.
I stay at the Paradise regularly and will continue to do so.
- Robert (10/5): very pleased - plenty of parking, pool is great, breakfast very good. some parts of the hotel were a bit dated but i did see the maintenance men doing minor repairs one day. everything was very clean and there were none of the scuff marks or scratches that an older decor would usually have.everything was fastidiouslucared for. the marble floors were impeccably clean.
- Colin (10/5): great hotel in a quiet street - great hotel to stay in the room was a little on the small side but that was no problem....hotel is about a 5 min walk from the shopping centre or you could get a tuk tuk as there was normally one waiting outside hotel.....breakfast in the hotel was very good with a very good selection on offer....when we come back to udon it willl be this hotel that i will be looking to get booked as a first choice as we couldn't really fault the place.
- Robert (10/5): Good place - Great location fantastic staff all you would want for a stay in hau hin be going back next time
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good hotel, very central. - Found the hotel not problem, good signage giving directions from main road. Check in was very good, nice friendly staff. We did use the bar facilities where I ordered a large Drambuie, a Mojito and a cappuccino. The Drambuie arrived very quickly and the after a while the Mojito and then finally the cappuccino arrived. I have to say that the cappuccino was very poor quality.
- Kino (6/5): - The family room I stay is nice and big but the shower that stick with the wall is not comfortable and flexible to shower the young kids. Plus, the drainage in the shower does not function properly. The air conditioner is not cool enough but if you increase the fan level, the sound is quite loud. However, generally, the hotel service is ok. Swimming pool is great.
- Robbie (10/5): Very nice hotel - Paradise hotel is the best hotel in udon , super friendly staff and close to all major amenities, will highly recommend this lovely hotel
- Maree (8/5): Older hotel freshened up with style - Fun room decor. Lovely piano bar, lounge areas and spacious reception area. Great gym. Good breakfast with both western and Asian choices.
- Gregory (10/5): - appears everthing new or renovated.....Great. good to see child has separate pool. nice garden around pool area.. good breakfast....clean
- Steve (10/5): Good facilities - staff and facilities were excellent nice pool and gym very good breakfast close to all amenities in the town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great staff, very good English at the front desk. Rooms are clean and quite and the pool area is well shaded during the day. Close to every thing in Udon.
- Wichai (8/5): Love to come back. - Great location, reasonable price, beautiful room.
But air condition can not be adjusted and pillow is too hard.
- Kanabhum (10/5): - Hotel WiFi service coverage wasn't good and internet speed was slow
- Craig (8/5): 8 out of 10 - Some faults but overall very good .
Need to change opening hours of the poll 6am children very noisy no respect for people who like the night life
