Guest Reviews
- Sara (6/5): - The place needs renovation.
- Steven (8/5): - The room was clean, but we encountered an issue of water coming into the bathroom through the ceiling. We were able to switch to a different room by very accomodating staff. They did the best they could with the accomodations but this building is just old and requires improvements via renovation.
- William (4/5): - I fell going out one of the doors that had no markings that a it was a step down. Key to the back didn't work. Room was unfinished. I would skip this place,
- jacob (6/5): - The bed was the best part of this room. Lots of weird empty space. The toilet was so close to the sink that the toilet paper holder stuck out into the toilet area. The person laying in the second bed can't see the tv
- Malabika (6/5): - A basic property. Had everything needed. Close to shops, easy parking. Good price.
- Jerry (6/5): - Check in was a problem. They had problems with their computer and I got charged three times for our room. We are working on getting that straighten out.
- Sevilay (2/5): - The corridor and room smelled terribly of damp. The bathroom was terrible. I couldn't even take a shower. I saw burn marks on the sheets. I left unhappy. I promised myself I wouldn't stay in a cheap hotel.
- Clairessa (8/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. The room needs a few minor repairs. It would be nice to have a small breakfast selection.
- Timothy (2/5): - Warning!!!! This is a place I highly recommend people stay away from. The place smells highly of mold and cigarettes. My room smelled so bad that I opened the window all the way. The mattress and covers were very old and smelled bad. I booked for one week but lefted after 3 hours because it is very dirty. A man was sitting behind the back door smoking weed so I parked in front of the building. They did keep all my money and would not refund some back so I just left. Please stay away from here because it is not the same as it looks online.
- JAGJIT (10/5): - Awesome
- Mejbah (8/5): - Good for stay
- David (8/5): - Clerk was nice
- Michael (2/5): - The check in on the 11th was great. Very friendly and charming woman helped me. However, in the middle of the night I woke up with a roach on me. I found two additional roaches in the room. What really made me mad was the phone call I got this morning. The clerk on duty said she was unable to process my payment through hotels.com, and I should call them and get them to call the Econo Lodge. I did this. It took 40 minutes. What I can't understand is how there is no back channel between econo lodge and hotels.com. There must be some sort of service agreement between the two. I find it extremely unprofessional to have guests handle a problem between the vendor and the hotel. However, the person I chatted with at Hotels.com was very kind and very efficient.
- Reid (4/5): - THE LOCATION IS CONVENIENT.
- Joyce (8/5): - Room was clean, bed was comfortable.
- Nicole (2/5): - Hair in the bath tub across the wall and toilet seat. Ac cover broken.
- Juan (6/5): - No complaints, everything was good
- James (6/5): - It was convenient and reasonable,thanks.
- Paul (4/5): Moldy Smelling Room - Room smelled very moldy and I had to sleep with the room widow open. The person at the hotel desk required me to hand him my credit card to be photo copied in order to complete the check in. The property was very run down. There were still covid era signs on the doors requiring guests to be masked in public areas. This just goes to show the lack of property management oversight.
- Jack (6/5): - Bed was comfortable. The property needs updated. Sketchy people hanging out constantly outside of the hotel.
- Lesley (4/5): - It’s basic which is ok but the property is quite old and dated. Worst thing is the a/c is just barely better than a fan
- Lashonda (4/5): - The ice machine looked very dirty. The shower curtain was dirty. And to make things even worse was the fact I complained about the ac being loud but it fail on deaf ears. Not was the ac super load the refrigerator made noise too. I asked for maintenance to do something or to be moved and nothing happened. To make matters worse my key to get in had to be reactivated 3 times because “ it couldn’t be around other cards, phones, or anything.
- Chan (4/5): - The room was dirty especially the bathroom.
- Aloysius (10/5): - Was good experience the only tin they need to address is the air conditioner, it can be loud sometimes and the cooling system improved
- Peyton (4/5): - First room was horrible.
Service was nics they mode us to a different room.
First room has mold in the beds and the air-conditioner.
Second rolm was okay
- James (6/5): - E once
- Sheayun (6/5): - This place is cheap so that’s what you should expect your room to reflect.
- Erin (4/5): - There’s a place where they used to serve free
- Dawn (4/5): - The outside looked good as well as the pictures but when I got to my room, it had a horrid smell, the bathroom was gross from the unclean bathroom to the broken sink barely holding on for life. Other tiny things like the vending machine taking my money, with all that being said both front desks lady’s were very kind and accommodating.
- Timothy (8/5): - No tissues or plastic cups
- Kotun (2/5): - Front desk, while not rude, was not friendly either. The room smelled slightly of cigarette. The bathroom ceiling had cracks and holes and mold. Pictures attached. The ac was extremely noisy and kept waking me up, the vents on it were broken so I couldn’t redirect the airflow and it was directly blowing on me in bed.
- Jennifer (2/5): - The air conditioner was broken. It was 80 degrees in the room. And there were bugs all over. We had to check out at 2:30 am because we couldn’t stay there.
- Vickie (2/5): - This hotel is poorly maintained and designed. The room I got looked like it was a jail cell. Concrete walls and horrible swamp cooler that had mold on it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Alright stay but will not be returning - Bed and pillows were too soft. Room was musty. Air conditioning is too loud. Bathtub/shower faucet/fixture needs repair. Freezer section of fridge had dark spots - not sure what it is from. Wire of bedside lamp was pulled from the wall (looks like it was supposed to be affixed).
- marc (2/5): - I got the last room apparently. And the clerk just kind of complained about it the whole time. Also, once we went to the room the door wouldn’t open. I couldn’t even stay. Ridiculous
- Wilson (2/5): - There were beer cans on top of air conditioner, the bathtub had hair inside and the halls smell a lot of weed, place was terrible, lost 113 dollars had to take off with my daughter and wife, couldn't have my family in such a grotesque place!
- Fred (8/5): - Basic accommodations at a good price. Friendly staff.
- Kristie (6/5): - The staff was good. The condition of room left a little to be desired. But would stay again. We’ve stayed in worse.
- Kevin (8/5): - The hotel did a fine job, it was a good room at a good price. Thank you!
- John (8/5): - First impressions when opened the door to my room was not the best. But had the basics…
Hardwood Floors. 2 queen beds, A Desk, Chair. Small fridge on the floor. A/C - Heating unit worked good. Clean Stocked Bathroom
However Night Lights next to bed didnt work.
Would I stay there again? Yes because the price (for the area & graduation time of year) was equivalent to my expectations However it was equivalent to what I’ve paid $59-$79 elsewhere….
- Trace (8/5): - The manager was great, really helpful. It was the most pleasant hotel/motel stop on our trip.
- Francis (10/5): - I was looking for a quick, inexpensive, overnight stay while traveling in the area. Econo Lodge was exactly what I was looking for. Check-in was quick and easy, parking was convenient, and the room was clean and reasonably comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showering, clean towels and bed sheets, as well as a comfortable bed. All in all a good stay, and I would stay there again.
- Natalia (8/5): - Staff is very friendly, comfortable and clean, stay for business 3 day.. good price for location.
- Kyle (10/5): - Was nice
- Ray (4/5): Not good - This has to be one of the worst hotels i have stayed in. The room smelled of smoke as if was smoked in forever. The ac unit needs servicing, there were things stuck on the ceiling along with stains from what appears to be tobacco spit. The tub faucet doesn’t allow the shower to shut off, the door anti break in latch is falling off. The positive thing i will say. Bed was comfortable. Phone was missing buttons.
- diane (2/5): - I didn't check in because it looked sketchy to me.
- James-Cash (2/5): - The main reason I booked this hotel was because they advertise offering breakfast. On the very first day I asked and they said they don’t serve breakfast. What a disappointment! The room was small, falling apart, had several bugs, and the A/C unit had the front cover taken off as if they were doing maintenance on it. Absolutely NOT worth the price.
- Jorge (8/5): - Was a ggod stay for the price
- Verified traveler (2/5): That's a no - This place is vile. I'd rather stay in my car next time.
- debra a (6/5): Not a happy person - Plus side: Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water
That's all the good things that I can say about it.
The bad side? The air unit had no direction fins to direct the air, so it blew on you. I turned it off. The air freshener that they used was so overpowering that I had a headache from it. Even when turned off the air unit was making noise that I had to unplug it. In one the corner of the room was a dead cockroach.
The bathroom was a horror show. The ceiling was falling down over the shower, and it looked moldy. The sink didn't have any type of drain cover, so if you dropped something in the sink it was gone.
I have stayed in different hotels that charged the same price and the room was better. Very disappointed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff at the front desk was pleasant, and accommodating.
Unfortunalty, the room was not clean. The hallway and room had a stale smell of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. There was lipstick or something red on the walls in the bathroom. The "plug" that was provided for charging phones on the bedside table was filthy inside and had not been cleaned in a long time. There was also food or something in there, but I did not take the time to look at it more closely.
The curtain rod was bent and some of the clips were missing. The desk chair was missing a castor or 2. The shelf in the closet was not hung correctly and was very unstable.
The sheets did seem clean, thankfully. I feel like the LVP (vinyl plank) in the rooms was a good choice, I am sure that helped cut down on the stale smoke smell that had permeated the carpet in the hallways.
I understand we did not spend a lot of money compared to other hotels in the area, but I did expect the room to be cleaner than it was. I know the hotel is dated, however, I could overlook some of that if it was clean and well-maintained.
- Lavonne (10/5): - Great stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not stay again - I mean, it had a bed. Floors were cracked, with the fake wood split. The AC unit was filthy. The bed side tables were in terrible condition. The room smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom was gross. The shower curtain looked like it had been dragged in from the street. Dust on everything. But they managed to make a mediocre towel in the shape of a goose. (I would have preferred a shower stall that wasn’t covered in dirt) 5 days prior I requested an early check in at 1pm and despite them saying it shouldn’t be a problem, they couldn’t accommodate on arrival. Only reason for it not being a 1 star overall was because the bed was comfortable, and I never felt unsafe. I’d say I got what I paid for, but I’ve definitely paid that much before and had far superior experience. Not sure how this place has managed a 6.6 rating out of 10.
- Karen (8/5): Good and nice - The front desk staff were kind and helpful
- Antayveous (10/5): - Tttt
- colin (10/5): - Good Service
- James (2/5): - Think the last time they cleaned was sometime in 1978…
- Frederick (8/5): - No breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - wasn't pleasant someone was screaming all the time and fighting no one came
- Larry (6/5): Family visit - Family visit for about a week.
Had door to outside like a motel.
Only a few of them, most doors inside.
Pros.... hot water, convenient, shower water pressure, friendly staff and helpful
Cons...no dresser (which seems to be the trend), noisy road traffic, heat-AC unit noisy and didnt regulate temp correctly
All in all.. would stay again for a brief visit but 3 or more days, you may want something else
- Carole (8/5): - The hotel was fine and staff was great. The only problem was the walls were paper thin. I could hear everything from inside to outside. There was some sketchy people outside at night. I smelled marijuana from one of the other rooms. I liked they had parking but not to where I could see my car.
- Stacie (6/5): Ugh. Nice shower though. - Nice joint next door open late good food. 7/11 open all night
- Vivian (10/5): - Property was clean. It was quiet and the stores were close with plenty of food options.
- Vivian (10/5): - The check-in was easy and painless. The locks on the doors were malfunctioning but they were good at telling me where to go.
- Skyler (2/5): - Had 3 roaches in my room
- Julio (6/5): - Extremely lack luster. Noisy heat/ac unit. Sheets may have been washed in hot water but no detergent. Trash left behind by previous guest. Broken towel holder. The smell of marihuana in the breezeway. Not a place for a lady to stay by herself unless she has protection of the leaded kind, just in case.
- Lawyer (8/5): - Location wise is very convenient to shopping areas and entertainment. It was rather very quiet which made your days and nights peaceful.
- samuel (2/5): - First when we got there we had to wait for 15 min to get a room because the room wasnt ready yet and they said the cleaner was just finishing up but when we got up to are room he wasnt doing the room he was just outside the room 205 and we waited for 15 min and when we had enough waiting we went down to get another room which had roaches in it so the next night we had to get another room which had no fan working and and pizza left overs on the ground... over all poor cleaning. And I didn't get my money back or a discount.
- Rob (10/5): - It was great.
- Rob (10/5): - Just moved to the area from Virginia for work and this place is 7 miles from my office and the front desk staff is exceptional and always willing to help.
- Kim (4/5): - The room was freezing upon entering and heating element was so loud and kept going on and off all night making it impossible to sleep. There was lots of yelling in the hallway by other guest at night and then again early in the morning. The heater sometimes muffled the sounds in the hallway which was the only plus. The comforter had a burn hole in it and one of the deadbolt locks had been broken off.
- Victoria (10/5): Victoria - Excellent
- mary (4/5): - Definitely needs work.
Bathroom needs cleaning and area around shower head is an open hole.
- mary (4/5): - Heating system very noisy, hard to sleep
- Mary (10/5): - Very nice
- Vivian (10/5): - The property was neat and clean. I loved the size of the bed and how the room didn't smell old and moldy. It was comfortable for me and my family.
- J (2/5): - Roach infested, mold, bed and bathroom were definitely not cleaned, stains on sheet, hair everywhere. I felt so dirty staying here and there was fights happening outside my room. This place isn't even worth the low price it might even have bedbugs for all I know
- Joseph (2/5): - Found cockroaches in the room
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Attendee was nice, polite and helpful however the room was a bit run down but the a/c worked an shower had good pressure and heat
- William (4/5): - Unhelpful staff. Rundown room. unsupportive bed.
- Susan A (4/5): - The sheets were not clean, the wooden floors were dirty, and the bathroom mirror was a mess. We will never go here again. Beware!
- Fischer (2/5): - Moldy shower sinking falling off of the wall looked like cigarette ash on the beds
- Leonilo (10/5): - 😩
- Arthur (8/5): - It’s a good place to stay as a traveler.
- samuel (10/5): - N/A
- samuel (10/5): - N/A
- Scott (8/5): - Not much to look out from outside but for low price the room was clean.
- Kimberly (4/5): - This was a last resort booking due to everything in the area being booked. The place is run down. The room/lodge smelled terrible. When we checked for bedbugs we found trash and food remnants under the beds. There were bugs in the restroom this morning. There were questionable people hanging around when we checked in which gave it an unsafe feeling.
- Nathan Dean (2/5): - No one home!
- Yongxing (2/5): - The hotel fails to meet the basic standards expected of the chain, with dirty and run-down conditions, desperate need of renovation, and continuous loud noises past midnight. Avoid at all costs.
- baruck (10/5): - Good hotel nice stuff and very clean
- April (10/5): - The staff were friendly
- Victoria (10/5): - Relaxing
- Leona (2/5): - The hotel room was covered with cockroaches in the bed the washrooms and on the floor and the room was smelly. I complained in the morning and the staff wouldn't get me a price adjustment or say they were sorry - instead they said it was manager's decision and no manager was around. My daughter's and I were terrified and didn't sleep all night.
- Michael (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Me (6/5): Vermont reunion - Hotel is dated and needs some c. Service desk very nice to assist with continuing keycard issues, but could have done without the bugs.
- Ryoichi (2/5): - Filthy bathtub, bugs, spider, spider web, the filthiest hotel I ever stayed.
- Kimberly (4/5): - I would not stay here again. Areas around the bottom of the room and bathroom were dirty. No coffee maker. Bed was nice
- Mary (10/5): - I had made a mistake on my reservation and the clerk did all possible option to fix it and he did very nice and Gente lman. Will eeapat again love it.
- Subhabrata (10/5): - It was a nice stay for us
