Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et les réceptionnistes supers pour nous donner des conseils. La cuisine du restaurant est correct mais ne vaut pas les prix, nous sommes allés manger ailleurs. Même si le personnel est adorable.

The safe was great and easy to use, we had all the things, towels, coffee, water, the comfiest beds and pillows out of all The locations we went to. Also had extra blankets in the room, which none of the other places offered. Nothing.

• EastCoastTravels (10/5): Boutique boho beach vibes - Stopped for lunch after a morning exploring the Tulum ruins. Was a beautiful spot to sit out by the ocean and enjoy a meal. Boutique boho beach vibes, great food and amazing views. Wish we had known about this hotel sooner as we might have stayed here instead. The surrounding village shops are also cute to explore
• Georgina (8/5): Beautiful pool area and comfortable rooms, but not much beach - Beautiful pool and garden area - we spent lots of time relaxing there. The rooms are well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant area has lots of games you can play. Staff were friendly and responsive. The beach is way smaller than it looks in the photos (which means if there’s sargasson you can’t really get in the sea) and it’s right by the road. This meant we ended up paying to use a different beach. For that reason I think the price is a bit high, there are better value hotels in the north end of Tulum (part of the national park) with proper beaches.

• chrisgG3912CD (10/5): Ocean enjoyment. - My wife and I stayed for the weekend during our time at Na’atik Language and Culture Institute in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The staff at the hotel was friendly and welcoming. We also appreciated their patience with our Spanish. The restaurant on the property is right on the beach and we ended up having most of our meals there. We did two trips with Mexidivers whose office in on the hotel property. I would return again.
• Ivana (5/5): Mala relación precio-servicio - El personal es muy amable y atento. Buena predisposición. El alojamiento, sobre todo en los espacios comunes mostraba signos de poco mantenimiento. La habitación para 4, si bien era amplia, no tenía la más mínima privacidad en el sector del baño. Si bien está en la zona hotelera, justo está en un sector que no es el más lindo. La playa está al lado de la carretera. Es como una bahía, rocosa, con sargazo, que no era removido de la playa.
• Laetitia (9/5): Un séjour idyllique en famille - Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans le bungalow familial. Très bien situé. Le staff est adorable et aux petits soins. Nous avons pleinement profité de la plage, des hamacs pour se reposer et de la nourriture proposée. Seul le bruit du générateur a pu parfois nous déranger mais heureusement c’était très ponctuel.

• Monica (10/5): - I loved Zamas Hotel! My husband and I spent 3 nights in a beachfront bungalow and found it had everything including beautiful sights and sounds of the sea and sunrises. The staff and service were outstanding from the parking lot attendants to the housekeeping and the outstanding concierge Daniel. The restaurant had wonderful food and staff, wish I remembered everyone's names but I can give a shout out to Valentino who remembered my name and food allergies. We had flan and hot chocolate for dessert and were given a romantic lantern on our table, just one of the many special touches of great service. I really have no complaints. The beach front was lovely and there were plenty of lounge chairs. There was some saragassum but staff showed up at 7am to clean it up and kept it to a minimum.

There was a wide variety of options, and being able to have breakfast with our feet in the sand was something we really enjoyed. The rooms were also great – very spacious, and the beds were comfortable as well. Overall, I found the stay very relaxing. Nothing :)

• Fien (10/5): - Der Bungalow mit großem Bad war traumhaft schön und sehr sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ebenfalls wunderschön. Auch das Essen im Restaurant war toll :-) Wir hatten nichts zu bemängeln. Unsere Toilette war am ersten Tag verstopft, aber selbst das wurde sofort erledigt.

Il personale è stato molto gentile è professionale.Il cibo era abbastanza buono e la posizione comoda. Purtroppo siamo stati sfortunati c'erano moltissime alghe e il mare non era un gran che!!! Ovviamente non è colpa della struttura,ma è comunque stato un dispiacere.

• Krysp123 (10/5): Great hotel - would recommend! - We had one of the beach bungalows and it was pretty special - being able to open your front door and be directly on the beach was amazing. Listening to the waves, sitting on the patio watching the sea (and sunrise) was awesome. The hotel pre-dates a lot of the hotels along the beach road - we liked that, it was friendly and relaxed and had a peaceful feel - not as pretentious as some of the other hotels. It's quirky and retro/rustic but charming at the same time. As it's on the beach road, it's a couple of minutes walk to restaurants, convenience stores etc, so it's a good location all round. Daniel and Fernando were very attentive and sweet and the rest of the staff were lovely too. The food was nice, everything was super clean, the shower was hot and had good water pressure (was pleasantly surprised as it was a beach bungalow), the bed was comfy, good air con - we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again if we came back to Tulum. We came to Tulum around 10 years ago and the area has really exploded since then! We didn't recognise a lot of it (especially downtown) as it has developed so much. The beach road (where the hotel is located) is much busier with all the new hotels etc that have been built in the area (and louder and you can hear road noise at night as the rooms are quite close to the road, but after a night or so, you get used to it and it didn't bother us). It's nothing the hotel can do anything about, it's just the downside of area development unfortunately. The only other thing which is a shame but again, not something the hotel can control either is the seaweed being brought onto the beach. There was only a little seaweed when we arrived but there was a storm while we were there and it brought in a LOT of seaweed, which made it harder to get into the water. Whether there could be arrangements to get it removed quicker (there was a poor guy with a wheelbarrow but really it needed much more than that). I agree with other reviews that it's not the best beach for swimming because of the seaweed but the beach is great for relaxing and you can still get into the water if you don't mind a bit of seaweed, my husband went in every day still! Our room didn't have a TV, was ok for us as the weather was good and we were on the beach most of the time but might have been nice to have one if the weather wasn't up to much. A few more hooks / shelves would have been useful but other than these minor points, the hotel was spot on.

• Reyna (9/5): Sea views, watching the moon rising every night from the deck was the highlight of our trip! - The food was excellent and beyond expectations! The room was clean and tidy and right on the beach as promised. The small room did not have enough hooks and shelves to set out my clothes and other items, there is plenty of room to put up more hooks to hang things on and more shelves.

• Ana Cristina (10/5): Gran experiencia frente al mar en Zamas - Es todo muy bohemio y cálida la decoración. La piscina hermosa. El comedor muy lindo. Las habitaciones frescas y hermosas. Una galería con hamacas paraguayas y unas sillas para ver el mar desde el balcón Todo me encantó. Podría decir que la playa no es la más linda de Tulum porque es pequeña y tiene rocas. Pero el lugar es hermoso , tranquilo. No hay ruidos molestos. Y estás muy cerca de la zona con más movimiento

• Dunja (10/5): Heerlijk plekje op aarde! - De locatie is fantastisch. Buiten de grote drukte van de tulum strip en precies op het einde van een stuk strand waardoor het heel erg prive voelt. Toch van alle gemakken voorzien én in de buurt van meerdere restaurants. De bedden slapen hemels en het eigen restaurant is ook erg goed! Daarnaast moet ik uiteraard eindigen met het personeel. Wat een fantastische mensen werken hier! Zó ontzettend lief en behulpzaam en daarbij is er vaak gespeeld/gevoetbald met ons zoontje van 4. Er is genoeg speelgoed en er zijn spelletjes. Al met al écht een aanrader dit hotel!! Geen blindout curtains. Dat was echt het enige nadeel aan deze locatie. De muggen ook, maar in de kamer zitten grote klamboes dus net slapen heb je minimaal last van de muggen!

Jardin, cocoteraie très jolie. La plage n’est pas exceptionnelle, pas de filet anti sargasse au large donc pas mal de sargasse. Petit déjeuner pas compris dans le tarif de la chambre, il faut donc le prendre en supplément (cher)

• Anton (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf mooie locatie, maar durf ook de public beaches te bezoeken. - De locatie en ook de hotel suite. Een heel eigen huis op palen aan zee. Jammer dat in Tulum de hele zee is volgebouwd waardoor je geen contact hebt met de zee.

• Sharina (8/5): Fantastisch verblijf, lief personeel. - Locatie aan het strand & in rustiger deel van Tulum maar wel leuke restaurantjes en winkeltjes in de straat. Het bed was vrij hard. Daarnaast was de douche in het midden zonder muurtje waardoor alles nat is na een douchebeurt.

• MAatthewp11 (10/5): A gem of a hotel ⭐ with a chilled vibe ⛱️ - We recently stayed in this beautiful rustic hotel in a bungalow on the beach just steps from the ocean. The staff are the absolute strength of this hotel with nothing too much trouble. We had a problem with our shower that was fixed promptly without any fuss. Daniel and Fernando lead a great team who are friendly, helpful and a pleasure to be around. The vibe of the hotel is laid back and stress free which enables you to chill 💯. The food was freshly prepared and delicious 😋 with one a hell of a sea view! We would fully recommend this hotel for a relaxing break with staff that want you to have the best time ❤️
• Kim (10/5): Super service en fijne locatie! - Fijne, rustige locatie, met eigen restaurant en privestrand. De service was echt ontzettend goed! Zowel in het hotel als in het restaurant. Er werd heel fijn met ons meegedacht; i.v.m. een avondvlucht konden we de hele dag nog gebruik maken van de faciliteiten en zelfs nog even douchen. Er is een koelkastje op de kamer en een watertank met drink water. Ook hangen er klamboes om de bedden voor de muggen. Heel fijn verblijf gehad! Geen aanmerkingen.

• glenngroves9 (10/5): Paradise on the Beach in Tulum - Lovely stay at a beautiful beach and the Hotel Zamas for 4 days in early November. Everything was perfect and the staff was professional, friendly, and attentive to my every need. Too numerous to mention all the names of the team since everyone was wonderful. The luxury cabana right on the beach was great, with its front porch with chairs, hammock, chairs, very comfortable bed, small refrigerator, 5-gallon dispenser of purified water, steps away from the terrace restaurant/bar with excellent food from breakfast to dinner. It was just a short walk to enjoy the pool nestled in beautiful gardens. There was everything I needed at the Hotel Zamas to escape the troubles of the world and the sometimes chaotic rhythm of México Májico. Except to go to a couple of cenotes one day, I didn’t leave the hotel much, and even then, only within about 50 yards since there were shops, restaurants, bars, and even a 7 - Eleven just across the road. Downtown Tulum was not attractive to me, and I was happy to stay in my beach paradise to simply relax. I had a great time and can’t wait to return!

The whole place has a relaxed, laid-back feeling that made it effortless to unwind and enjoy our time there. Very kid friendly. We really enjoyed the hotel, but transportation and excursions in the area were quite expensive, and although the restaurant food was great, the high prices and small portions were a bit disappointing.
• Ferrer (8/5): Génial, - L’endroit est très sympa, nous avions une petite chambre/maison à côté de la piscine mais la mer est à 100 mètres à peine. La déco est atypique c’est dépaysant, la salle de bain en mosaïque. Le personnel était très agréable, room service au top. Bon emplacement pour Tulum Un peu plus de confort, le grand lit était agréable mais les petits lits moins. Il aurait fallu plus de rangement car rien pour accrocher les vêtements.

Un peu cher par rapport aux prix du Mexique ( mais tullum est cher)......mais vraiment paradisiaque

• kate (10/5): Brilliant hotel, so glad we went with Zamas. - We really loved our stay at Zamas Hotel. Everything was just as we wanted it to be, for our 6 night stay. We stayed in a jungle room by the pool as we knew the kids would love this. As it was low season we usually had the spacious pool to ourselves. The staff were really excellent, and the main part of our appreciation for this hotel. Via WhatsApp we could easily communicate with them whilst in the room, and order food/ taxis etc. Location wise, we felt we were in the village area of Tulum which was great for us. A small selection of good restaurants and bars alongside and a 7/11 just next door for snacks. We hired cycles and travelled around the rest of Tulum which made us realise we had definitely made the correct location choice. The wifi was down for 1 day whilst we stayed. This wouldn't be too much of an issue in itself, but affected the entire area including the ATMs! Not at all the hotel's fault but something to be aware of, maybe have some cash ready just in case. I would not completely trust the local infrastructure with the amount of building in the town.

• Jamillah (10/5): - Loved the rustic look of the rooms with all the creature comforts included (AC, mini fridge, hot water, etc.). The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the food was great, both in the hotel and in nearby restaurants. There are convenience stores, pharmacies, ATMs and currency exchange offices within walking distance. We had a lovely stay, very unfortunate that the sargassum kept us from the beach, but that's not the hotel's fault.
• Shlomo (10/5): - We recently stayed at the Zamas Hotel in Cancun for three nights as a family of six, and our experience was absolutely incredible. We booked a beach bungalow that was super clean and comfortable, making it the perfect spot to relax. Fernando at the reception went above and beyond—he was not only kind and helpful but also made the kids feel so special by bringing them toys for the sand and making sure we had everything we needed. The staff overall were extremely friendly with the kids, which made us feel right at home. The on-site restaurant was delicious with excellent pricing—we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there. The pool was also very nice and refreshing. While there was a bit of seaweed on the beach during our stay, we understand that it’s just part of the season and nature. What truly stood out was the level of care and hospitality: every time we needed to cross the road, the hotel’s parking attendant made sure to stop traffic and personally help us cross safely with the kids. They were also very helpful with our luggage and attentive in every detail. Overall, Zamas Hotel gave us a warm, family-friendly, and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

La présence des Sargasses qui malheureusement a rendu la plage de l’hôtel inutilisable durant cette période.

• rachelrG722MF (10/5): Relaxing, friendly, and laid-back place to stay. - The front desk staff, Fernando and Daniel were amazing! Even before I arrived, they helped me with transportation reservations and recommendations for local tours. During my stay, they kindly called taxis for me and pre-negotiated favorable rates. I stayed in a Jungle Ocean View room which was spacious and had a large wrap-around porch with hammocks and chairs. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, hot water was hot. Pool was a nice and quiet place to relax. Despite it being low season when the seaweed takes over the beach making it unusable for swimming, there was still plenty to do and explore.
• Mccarthy (10/5): If you're looking for a chill place on Tulum Beach, look no further! - Such a chill place. Rooms were great, Staff (Daniel, Fernando, Armando et al) were awesome. Restaurant fantastic. It's on the rustic side, but that was a positive for us. It was June so the sargassum was high. But we knew that before we arrived, and were expecting it. The taxis are super-expensive but that's not something the hotel can control. There's a few good restaurants in walking distance (Piedra Excondido; Boccanero), and many others a taxi ride away (we loved Nu, Hartwood, Casa Banana).
• Christine (10/5): A true Tulum GEM! - This was my second time staying at Zamas and it was just as perfect this time as before. The staff are lovely, the rooms are perfect and I always feel safe and comfortable there. You are close enough to night life and adventures but far enough away for peaceful nights. I absolutely LOVE staying here.

• Kelcey (9/5): Thank you Zamas - Daniel and Fernando went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. It was my friend's 30th birthday trip, and they helped me organise a cake for our group to celebrate her. Our room was bigger than expected and the location was perfect for walking around to various sites or getting a short taxi into town. The Mexi Divers group on site took us on some incredible tours. All the staff were so welcoming, and the restaurant was great. Overall, we loved our stay here and couldn't recommend it more.
• Tina (9/5): Tranquil, beautiful beachside, one-of-a-kind experience - The room and attention to detail were amazing. Beautiful rustic, artistic appointments. Staff were uber kind and helpful. Unbeatable location with cabanas opening up to the beach front. No fault of the establishment, the beach was full of seaweed (sargazo). The water is not approachable/swimmable.

• Ian (10/5): - 25 years ago we visited Zamas for dinner and dreamed about returning one day for a vacation. We finally made the trip and have just had the most magical stay at this very special hotel. Zamas is in a beautiful location with uninterrupted views of the beach and ocean. It is just as we remembered it with unique and very well appointed rooms that have everything you might need : great shower, very comfortable bed, pillows and cotton sheets, a tea station, fridge, bottled water, and wonderfully fragrant bathroom products. We ate at the restaurant every night and had one memorable meal after another, as we enjoyed the magnificent view. The managers and staff were so friendly and helpful and generously upgraded our accommodation to an ocean view room, where we could relax in the hammocks with the sound of gently lapping waves and soft ocean breezes. Zamas made our trip to Mexico truly memorable and was an experience we feel very lucky to have had.
