- Gabriela (10/5): Excellent and beautiful place in excellent location - Excellent location close to L (30 minutes ride to Chicago). Beautiful house with very comfortable accommodations, the host was very friendly and helpful, very nice continental breakfast. Close to downtown Oak Park and restaurants. Despite the great location close to the metro train, it was also the drawback because of the noise.

- David (6/5): - The proprietor was very nice and is a good soul. But, for $300/night (the highest per day price I paid in all my many travels in the U.S.), I expect nigh perfection. I didnt get it. The 3rd floor unit we were in regularly delivered cold shower water....on and on so I gave up. The breakfast I expected was house made, like fresh eggs with bacon or ther protein with toast anf hash browns---something freshly made. Didnt happen. We had easily prepared cut melons and other fresh fruit that was very good, however. The star of breakfast was the coffee. The location is superb. Just a couple of short blocks to the "L" Green line. The bed was perfect. The room had a microwave to reheat

Beth, the innkeeper, is personable and tends to every detail. The property is lovely and peaceful. Great dining options just a walk away, train to the city around the corner, and a lovely neighborhood to walk around and revel in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Highly recommended inn. We shall reurn.

- Bonnie (10/5): - Surprisingly easy street parking for the Chicago area. This property is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. We stayed in the Chalet Suite. Be aware that the Chalet and Oak Park suites are on the third floor and you will have to hike up quite a lot of stairs, but the room is gorgeous if you're up to the hike. The innkeeper, Beth, is very kind and attentive to her guests. She puts a lot of thought into the breakfast as well. We had multigrain croissants imported from France, fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade frittatas, some delicious breads from a local bakery, and more. Great experience!

The set-up and decor was exceptional, and the owner was very personable. Although it is close to an elevated train, we didn't hear it. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a great breakfast and pleasant conversation in the common area. Due to our last minute planning, the price was higher than I wanted to pay. However, it was a lovely experience and worth the cost. Also, considering the current economy, I'm sure the cost is in keeping with the services provided

Our room (the Oak Park Suite) was spacious and comfortable, though the pillows on the bed were very flat. Parking was easy, the host/owner was hospitable, and it's an easy walk both to the Metra and to the shops of Oak Park.

- Amber (5/5): Passable - The bed and breakfast was very very clean and honestly that's the only thing I liked It was extremely hot over night it got up to 76 on the second floor and we had to run loud fans, my husband had a severe allergy attack that the heat worsened, couldn't enjoy a hot bath because it was to hot inside and when we said something the next day they said they could have drug air units in our room in the middle of the night or opened windows(I had no idea the windows actually worked as the do not in most places for safety reasons)either way you go that is not relaxing. On the way to Chicago they called and said they were expecting tornado weather did not offer a refund so we kept driving only to arrive and find out everyone else got to cancel or reschedule I would have loved to cancel because the weather was bad but we were not offered that option and the website had said our reservations were nonrefundable so who knew!? This was the one and only time we will ever stay at a bed and breakfast. She did offer us $90.00 back out of the almost $400 we spent I do feel like it should have been a full refund since we didn't sleep hardly at all before our 6 hour drive home. Definitely not worth the money to stay here... Tiles we're loose and woobly all over the not enclosed bathroom floor, grout was missing in numerous spots,there is not a wall to separate the bathroom so no actual privacy, and the toilet needs pulled and reset as it also wobbles around.

Also the pictures had shown a large screen TV and the actual was a 15” old screen. Charming but not up to the level of price we paid. Also the breakfast offered was ok but not great.
