Guest Reviews
- Virginia (7/5): Lovely outlook and staff but a little expensive for the quality of stay - Position on the ocean and pool were amazing. Owners very personable. A little run down for the price point
- Trevor (10/5): I will come again - Pool area lounge great Nothing
- Honai Bali (9/5): - The view is so amazing..
- Petr (10/5): -
- Castoldi (6/5): - clima familiare, tutti gentili aria condizionata non funzionava
- Rosa (8/5): - Die ausgezeichnete Küche. Die sehr netten Besitzer. Der Pool. Leider kein Meerzugang möglich. Grobsteiniger Strand. Die Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Anlage steht zum Verkauf.
- Kiwiland (9/5): It’s very nice place, very relaxing during our stay - It was nice place to stay. The food, room, swimming pools, staffs and the owners are very nice. We would like to recommend this place and we would like to come back.

- Leon (10/5): - We wanted to get away from the carnage of the south. Kebun Impian provided the tranquility we desired. And so much more!
John the owner and his wife Yanti were accomodating from the moment we arrived to the end of our 7 day stay. The family run complex makes you feel at home instantly. The rooms are large with a fan and AC. With the sea breeze we just needed the fan and the door open to feel cool. Having the sea so close brought another form of relaxation.
The food! Breakfast provided every morning was delicious and you have plenty of options. Food is cooked by Yanti and her mother to a very high standard. The main menu offers a great opportunity to try an array of local cuisine. Amazing!
They offer local reccomendations and chats about life and everything in between. I have gained so much knowledge about the real Bali from the family.
The pool overlooking the beautiful waves was perfection. A great place to relax and recharge. 1 hour away from Amed and 45 mins away from Virgin beach makes it so peaceful. The rice fields and greenery are a constant here.
We felt so lucky to have found this place. A must stay if you're thinking of visiting the north. Everything was perfect for our week stay here.
- Mihaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronald (4/5): Too outdated - It’s a great place but outdated. Location was good, directly at the sea. Staff is super friendly and the food was good. On Booking the property says that there is a cot but there isn’t one, very disappointing. The overall feeling was that there is a lack of maintenance and was very outdated.
- Dirk (9/5): Superb - Thanks for the warm welcoming and the excellent service, the gourmet kitchen.
Kind regards to the whole family who runs the Kebun Impian! Nothing to mention
- Boy (10/5): A perfect getaway spot for a peaceful and family-friendly vacation surrounded by nature. - The tropical garden setting was absolutely beautiful — peaceful, lush, and very well-maintained. The swimming pool was perfect for the kids, and the whole property had a very relaxing and private atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, everything was great.
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional - Kebun Impian is a beautiful property set right on the beach with gorgeous views. Yanti and John are very warm and welcoming and will accommodate your every need. The food is delicious, their menu extensive. Don't be put off by the property being a little away from everything - this is what makes it so special, getting away from the hustle and bustle, but if you do want to go anywhere yanti and John can organize a driver or it's easy to get a gojek. Virgin beach is a short drive away and is a stunning quiet spot. The pool is perfect for all ages, a shallow area for toddlers, a deeper area for kids and then a deep area for swimming laps. This property is perfect for families or a romantic getaway. I highly recommend it to everyone - don't delay, book your stay now.
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional - A best example of a family run hotel.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful view, lovely pool, hosts were gracious. I felt like i was in my own private villa that I shared with friends. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Next time will stay for longer than 1 night!
- Krisztián (10/5): It was the REAL dream garden!!☺️ - “Dear Janti and John!
We can’t thank you enough for the wonderful time we spent at your place. Without a doubt, your home will be the one we miss the most among all our stays in Bali. Leaving Kebun Impian was the hardest—it truly is a dream garden.
Thank you and your family for the delicious food and the amazing hospitality! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
If we ever return, we will definitely stay with you again! ☺️
Terima kasih!🙏🏼”
If Virgin Beach or Taman Ujung is your destination, there’s only one place worth staying—HERE. It may not be the newest or the most modern, but its charm is absolutely unique! The hosts are incredibly kind, making you feel right at home. Don’t even think about staying in the neighboring houses—unnecessary, it’s just not worth it! 😉 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
- Jamie (10/5): Amazing peaceful stay at Kebun Impian - We stayed in the superior double room for 7 fabulous nights. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. A little haven of peace and tranquillity. Lovely sea, pool and garden views from our spacious room, and large wrap around balcony. Yunti and John were lovely hosts and looked after us so well. John even took us to town when we arrived to buy power adaptors - thank you again, John. Yunti is a fabulous cook, and we loved all her meals. The coconut prawns and sate lilit were our favourites 😍
We had some lovely day trips and some great downtime by the pool. Would love to come back again and highly recommend. Nothing to say here
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - Very lovely location and very friendly staff. The food was excellent and well presented. A place to stay to get away from the usual tourist places in Bali.
- Roshan (10/5): Great excellent - They have a great breakfast choice with a set menu, and you can pick one food and one drink. The location was secluded, but John and Yante were very helpful in giving us a ride to the local areas free of charge in their car, like currency exchange and the local palace. Nothing; we had four great nights, and John and Yanti, the hosts, were very hospitable and accommodating. The views were amazing, and we enjoyed the pool very much.
- Soumya (7/5): It's more like a Homestay, the sea view is wonderful,Happy to visit, - It was great Illumination
- Karen (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Kebun Impian. Wonderful food. A great location if you want to do day trips to other locati - Secluded, space between guests, relaxed, authentic, seafront, great views of Lombok and the Strait, the pool, could also swim in the sea, leafy and green. The food was wonderful and the menu had a great selection of choices. We also loved chatting with owners John and Yanti, and the staff who were very helpful and sweet. N/A
- Charlotte (9/5): Lovingly and expertly managed - truly restful and fun stay - We could hear the sound of the ocean and see it from our sliding glass door windows of the ocean view room. Lots of flowers and nice shaded areas. Pool has both shallow area and lap swimming lane. Family hosts you and is so genuinely kind. They really embraced my son who is on the spectrum and took us to the doctor when he was suffering a bad cough. The colors of sunrise and sunset over the ocean are breathtaking. Easy 20 minutes to white sand beach and they arranged a very skilled who driver took us all around. Kayaking and snorkeling an hour away in Amed and trekking through rice paddies with a guide pick up only 30 minutes ride. It is remote, quiet, serene but close enough to activities and they made sure we had a way to do everything we wanted. We ate all our meals there as all the reviews are true about Yanti’s outstanding cooking. She even made special food to accommodate my sons’ multiple food allergies. We are so thankful we found this wonderful place and met this beautiful family.
- Roy (8/5): Coastal Property with Pool Overlooking Ocean - Excellent food, especially the smokey marlin cooked in a banana leaf with Balinese spices. Black sand beach.
- Heath (6/5): Pleasant -
- Karolina (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic stay, lovely cottage with pool and see view, perfect for relax and chill. Very friendly owners, the best food served by landlady. Highly recommended. We definitely come back
- Kieran (10/5): Perfect! - The perfect week away for rest and relaxation after a long journey and fantastic food!
- Jaka (8/5): Would choose it again. - Friendly stuff. Great resort beachfront. Great food and drinks. Maybe just bathroom need some update but its functional and no problem to use it.
- Anamaria (10/5): Exceptional - Mesmerizing place. Just what i needed traveling alone with 2 young children.
Peaceful place while still can access some nearby attractions. Thank you to the owners and all the staff.
- Adriana (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice hosts, great and clean room and beautiful pool with a view
- Lisa (7/5): Good - Pool by the sea is lovely. Clean pool and lovely spot overlooking the ocean. Would of loved wifi in the bedroom and a small fridge. Maybe other bedrooms got wifi if they were closer to router.
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Calimanut-ionut (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (9/5): Don't hesitate to book at this lovely retreat! - The food, pool, lush grounds and team running this homestay style hotel were all wonderful. The ocean waves crash by the pool and the sound was so relaxing. Scooter rental is available. We ate here every night and had great meals each time. Quiet nights.
Would love to return! All was great and good value. Wifi was weak in the room on the driveway area but did work on the patio/ restaurant area. Maybe a fan for the restaurant on hot days? Pretty much perfect otherwise. 🪷
- Michał (10/5): Wow! - Unmazing place. I am sure, that from all Bali, when I close my eyes, I will see this house, these arcades, this ocean and these people. Thank you 🥰
ps. Food for 1000 Michelin stars ✨
- Sigrid (9/5): Beautiful and luxurious stay just by the sea - Such a nice view over the sea!! We had breakfast and lunch just by the beachside and I did yoga in the sunrise just by the sea. Nice and fresh pool area.
The food was very good. The room was spacious with nice interiour and a fresh bathroom. And AC.
The owners were very helpful and we could rent scooters for an ok price. It was a bit weird that the main indoor area also was the living room for the owners. The man of the owning couple was a bit grumpy and had a bit of a negative attitude (but to be honest it was a bit refreshing).
One room for one person was a little bit pricey but considering what I got it was worth it. Especially if I had shared the room.
It's a bit remote so you can't do much unless you hire scooters or a driver.
- Vincenzo (10/5): Sweet Place out of tourism with a wonderful view at the beach - Sweet quiet place outside of the tourism. The rooms are clean and cozy! It‘s right next to the beach with a beautiful garden and pool. So you can habe an excellent breakfast with an amazing view :). The hosts are very kind and helpful! You can rent a scooter and visit some interesting places like Titra Gangga (Water Temple) or the Gates to Heaven. Not really a bad thing, but you really should know, that it‘s not a touristic place. Not many shops or something around. But with a scooter you will get everywhere you want :)
- Dewi (10/5): Excellent stay in a very welcoming family. Beautiful garden and pool, food magnificent - The garden and pool are excellent. Food amazing. Very warm welcome, guests and hosts share indoor space
- Claire (7/5): Good - Great pool overlooking the beach and lovely garden. Excellent food cooked by Yanti who was a wonderful and helpful host, always smiling. Standard room was basic
- Jill (10/5): Went for a relax and stay for a couple of nights wax just wonderful - Lovely family who owns and runs the hotel, great food and awesome cooking class by Yanti, great pool, with a wonderful view of the ocean and surrounding islands.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Ruslan (10/5): One of the best places in Bali - Magnificent villa! The owners are extraordinary, incredibly kind! You feel at home there! Rest is guaranteed! It is a peaceful place in Bali. The restaurant there is excellent! It's a pleasure to eat there!
- Árni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adi (9/5): Enjoyed stay here ,recomended - Perfect Location, beach is just next to swimming pool, wave sound till in your room if you choose suite room, funtastic sunrise behind mountain if you’re lucky n sunset as well, super friendly host Need to teach staff to be friendly…
- Jason (10/5): Sound of waves while you sleep, amazing. - Amazing view, lovely hosts, first class restaurant quality food, great service, very comfortable bed and room. Pool looks out over the ocean with the sound of waves crashing, absolutely magic 🤩 Nothing
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tatjana (10/5): Empowering stay in paradise - The hospitality, caring service and the amazing food. A sweet spot of calm paradise on the edge of the ocean. Much recommended!!
- Wendy (10/5): Excellent resort very relaxing! - John and Wayan are both lovely. It was a great visit I wish we had stayed with them longer.
Plus she's an amazing cook and has a cookbook.
- Jennifer (8/5): Away from the crowds!!! - The hosts, Yanti and John, were wonderful. The food was delicious. Yanti is a great chef. We walked to the Water Palace and enjoyed walking around the peaceful gardens. By the time we left Kebun Impian, we felt totally relaxed. Thanks, John and Yanti, for a lovely stay. Good luck with your future plans. Jenny and Steve N/A
- Stephen (10/5): A quality choice for a more genuine Bali experience - The property has an idyllic beachside location. Our room had a beautiful outlook to ocean and garden. The food was excellent and the hosts included us in various genuine Balinese village activities. We felt that we had enjoyed a more local experience than other places we visited. Nothing
- Greg (8/5): Kebun Impian Homestay - The owners were welcoming and very hospitable, lovely people.
The ocean view was exelent showing Mt Rinjani on sunrise.
A great location to visit Jasri, Seraya, Amlapura etc.
- Brigas (10/5): BEST bed and breakfast ever! - We booked their place the night before due to changes of our itinerary. It was honestly the best decision we ever did because their place is BEAUTIFUL!!! We could stay there for weeks if we can, it’s so amazing! The house is right on the beach so you can here the waves crashing as you sleep. It’s a bed and breakfast so Yanti cooks her delicious meals, it felt like moms cooking being there. I bought her cook book so that I can learn her recipes. her husband John is super welcomed also he told their story of how they met and ended up at their beautiful beach house. John and Yanti thank you so much for everything!! it was honestly the best place we have stayed!
