Guest Reviews
- selley (10/5): Beautiful balcony with very kind hosts - What an amazing view! Lots of space and quiet. Dinesh was an incredible host. He and his wife were very kind and considerate people. And the food was amazing! They make it all from scratch in their kitchen. I hope I get to stay here again! No AC but it wasn’t a big deal
- Nancy (8/5): - 看喜馬拉雅山最好的景點,這裡的食物新鮮又好吃,工作人員也很友善 整潔程度有待加強,有時會在房間看到蟑螂
- Sailajh Kumar (10/5): -
- Haitong Yu (7/5): - Awesome location. You can wake up and see snow mountains out of your windows turning golden. A lot of birds singing around the nearby walkway. The restaurant was also very nice! There was a cockroach on our bed. Facility is very basic. Taxi ride up here can be expensive especially in the evening.
- Anders (8/5): -
- Gurkan (10/5): - View and food so nice
- Yaowares (8/5): -
- Manvendra (10/5): Best view stay and very good host - View and Host Nothing as such . Good could be better matching Indian taste
- Arpita (10/5): - Staying here again after ages was a joy—and thankfully, not much has changed. Peace Dragon Lodge still offers one of the most unparalleled views in Pokhara. The sweeping panorama of the mountains along with Phewa Lake from this building is truly the highlight.
Juliette, one of the owners, is extremely responsive and quick to answer any queries. The caretakers, Dinesh and his family, are warm, kind, and welcoming, making the stay feel very personal. We enjoyed delicious homemade food for all our meals.
There’s a short walk to the Sunrise Point, but if your main interest is watching the mountains glow pink and gold at sunrise and sunset, you don’t even need to leave Room 3. The small window entrance to the balcony became my favorite spot—I could sit in the balcony all day and never tire of the mountain views.
There’s also a lovely seating area one floor below where we spent our evenings, watching the sunset on one side and then settling down with a cup of tea as the mountains slowly changed colors.
I had hoped to book Room 3 for a longer stay, but unfortunately it wasn’t available. Still, I will definitely return to Pokhara and stay here again. I highly recommend Peace Dragon Lodge to anyone seeking peace, quiet, and breathtaking scenery.
The World Peace Pagoda is just a few steps away, and there are now some new shops and cafés nearby as well.
A truly serene and memorable place.
- Russell (9/5): Had a great time, did some nice paintings. - The breakfast was excellent, with an amazing mountain view backdrop. I am an amateur painter, and was provided with the most beautiful workspace, and subject matter, that I have or will ever have. Outstanding! Cant think of anything that I didnt like. It is away from the town, so not convenient to shops, but for me, that was an attraction.
- Ladislav (7/5): - Neskutečný výhled. Sympatický a vstřícný personál. Výborné jídlo Čistota
- Ladislav (7/5): - Neskutečný výhled. Sympatický a vstřícný personál.
- Koji (9/5): I want to go back soon. - Location, hospitality.view Everybody should visit this place once in your life. If you encounter bad weather so that is you life also. Not only Peace Dragon , but Nepalis custom or they have not grown to tat way I recognize many trash on street and on trails. I think they prove soon.
- Kaat (7/5): Unieke ervaring. - Heel mooie ligging.
Zeer vriendelijke uitbaters. Niet comfortabel.
- Bree (8/5): Good peace escape - View beautiful and peaceful place to escape noisy Pokhara. Colours of room nice and lots of light. Staff friendly and helpful. There is not direct road access to the property and you have to walk 10mins upstairs from car park, so not great if you have heavy big bags. No hot water. But the staff were so very friendly and helpful boiling big bucket of hot water and also carrying my bags up and down stairs.
- Sailakshmi (8/5): I had a lively time. The host & family were very friendly and helpful - The best location to view the Annapurna mountain ranges from Pokhara .
- Jenny (10/5): - Wonderful view, room and food! Lovely area with lots of hiking! Dinesh and Pomola were so hospitable and sweet It’s perfect up there, nothing!
- Xizhou (9/5): Superb -
- Celia (7/5): Good -
- Tamer1an (9/5): The hotel has a beautiful view. It's modest, but it's enough! - The view from the window matches the photo. Very beautiful. The room is simple, but everything is there for living. The breakfasts are delicious at reasonable prices. Attentive and caring staff.
Overall, I am happy with the accommodation. The room has everything, no frills.
The view from the window and the places for eating are incredibly beautiful. On the arrival date, the beginning of January, the access road to the hotel was being repaired and because of this there was a misunderstanding. There was no information or warning about this. As I understood it, the hotel provided baggage lifting services to the hotel from the other side.
Access to the balcony through the window is not critical, but unusual.
Be prepared for the fact that the ascent to the stupa takes place very close to the windows of the hotel (rooms).
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional - The view is outstanding, and the food as well!
- Aashutosh (10/5): Best location and staff - Staff, location, food, owner Nothing
- D (10/5): Thank goodness the lodge exists! - Peace Dragon Lodge is on a hill range overlooking Rani Ban and Phewa Lake near the Peace Pagoda. When the sky is clear, you can have an unrestricted view of the Annapurna mountain range and see its reflection in the waters of Phewa Lake. The property is responsive. Their food was delicious. The lodge is on a trekking trail that circles the lake. Mr Dinesh and his family were very hospitable. My wife and I are definitely coming back here.
- Oi (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (1/5): :( - We arrived and the staff were wonderful and the view was incredible. Unfortunately as I have had bed bugs before I checked the beds and they were dirty and infested so we switched hotels. very sorry to say as everything else seemed great and Dinesh was lovely. he put me in touch with a great tour guide for Poon Hill and the Jomsom Trip. Not sure how they wash the linen as bedbugs are hard to get rid of but we wish them all the best!
- Baha (3/5): Poor -
- Wendy (7/5): Good - The view from the property is really extraordinary. You can see the whole Pokhara from the property balcony. There's many shops along where you can eat or buy something to drink. The World Peace Pagoda is just a 15 minute walk from there and it's wonderful. The staff is very respectful and nice. I will say, it's quite a drive up there so I'd recommend to get in contact with them to give you the location where you can park and go along the nicer road.
- Alisa (10/5): So peaceful at Peace Dragon Lodge ! - The location, the staff, everything was very peaceful and relaxed. Amazing view and experience. Excellent food available. Very close to the Peace Pagoda. Special place! Nothing
- Harrison (10/5): Soooo glad I stayed here... - The lodge is wonderful, and the people even more so. A lovely family who give their all to making your stay a very, very happy one. It is wonderful to be perched up so high... Loved it up there so much that I didn't go down until my last day. Beautiful walks to the Peace Pagoda and to the Shiva Temple. And to have breakfast with the sunshine and views, loved waking up there. The food is delicious... All freshly and beautifully prepared, I enjoyed all of my meals. And the room, clean and fresh and comfortable. Would stay here again in an instant. Loved it. Wholeheartedly recommend.
- Gareth (8/5): A great place to stay with friendly helpful people - Located on the trail to the World Peace Pagoda, the hotel was ideally placed to visit this. Outside of Pokharra you are away from the hustle and bustle of lakeside but a short taxi ride away if you wanted to visit. We chose to use the trails into Pokharra to visit the local sights (40 minute walk to Devi Falls and 30 minutes to the boat station at the lake.) We again chose local Nepali dishes rather than the western options on the menu and these were cooked to order and were excellent in terms of taste and value It might be a little bit picky but the morning prayer drums from the nearby Buddhist Temple were a little annoying, however you soon got used to the sound and filtered them out.
- Ole (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lynne (9/5): Top of my list of places to come back to! - Location and views are magnificent.
The hosts are wonderful.
The food is terrific.
- Michelle (10/5): Immaculate place! A must place to stay when in Pokhara! - This place is immaculate! Perfect 360 view of Pokhara. Juliette, the owner, has been so helpful and even arranged for a taxi pick up from the bus station to her place. Dinesh, Promela, the lovely house takers, are very friendly and informative. They serve delicious food too! The location is just few steps away from
World Peace Pagoda. Will definitely stay here again next time! Nothing!
- David (9/5): Quiet, restful location, high on the mountainside - Wonderful location, if you don’t mind being away from the hubbub of Pokhara town. The views are soothing, and if the weather is clear, simply majestic! Steps away from the Peace Pagoda, so you can here the abbot doing his morning drumming meditations. Birds galore. Nice family is staff. Comfortable bed. Hot water. Decent food, with a few other cafes around for variety. Very quiet. Facilities are a bit run down. Nothing alarming, but not particularly charming. If you don’t want to walk, taxis into town are expensive - 1000 npr, more or less.
- Suhas (9/5): great place to stay if you’re looking for a peaceful place. and Dinesh is super helpful for all your needs - it’s a fantastic location up in the mountains with an excellent view and a peaceful atmosphere really nothing to dislike. you just have to plan ahead when you’d like to go down lakeside by calling a taxi beforehand. but Dinesh is very helpful in organizing everything
- Goold (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (8/5): Very good - Nice view, friendly family, delicious food. You live in nature and there are some spiders or something like this in your room
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel has really very beautiful view to the lake and you can do some walking around to see stupa and Shiva statue there on the hills. The hotel is nicely decorated and has a good restaurant with a terrace views.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Dinesh, and the taxi driver organised for me (Mik) were fantastic. Very accommodating and kind. The location is unbeatable, arguably the best view in the valley when clear.
- Florence (8/5): Very good -
- Boundule (8/5): Stay with Nice panoramic View - The hotel situated at top of hill beside Phewa Lake. Peace Pagoda just in walking distance.
The breakfast was super. Moreover the hotel owner Dinesh were so helpful. The hotel have great view of mountain & Phewa Lake. The trace of the lodge was super.
- Sujaul (4/5): Disappointing -
- Koji (10/5): I will definitely visit there again. - Great location, tranquility, good hospitality Little bugs at night. But great scenery covers that.
