- matthewsU2658YT (10/5): Awesome place... go see Roger in the restaurant! - Pretty cool place. No hvac in rooms... but not needed one sun goes down. Restaurant very good. Roger was the best!
- Beatriz (8/5): Good option in Aguas Calientes - Beautiful and well-cured hotel in the heart of Aguas Calientes, within walking distance to good restaurants, the train station and the bus stop to take the bus to Machu Picchu. We had dinner here, which was great, as well as breakfast, which, although it was good, could have more variety (e.g., egg options, etc.). Quite expensive for what it is, too many groups on site (we could only have dinner on the later schedule as it was all booked up with groups) and service took a while. Also, spa services were overpriced - I had a fantastic massage outside of the hotel for 1/5 of the price.
- MLCJ_12 (6/5): Some positives and negatives - The hotel has a good location in the centre of town and is clean and modern with an interesting design and lay out. We unfortunately returned to the hotel soaked from the Inca trail hike and rain, and the hotel was without hot water. Though a bustling town, Aguas Calientes does require that all supplies have to be trained in, so the hotels don't seem to provide the same level of amenities that you find in comparable hotels in other cities or towns in Peru. We didn't find the staff to be overly friendly at this hotel, however after expressing concerns with being soaked and cold without hot shower or hot drink available, the hotel did offer us a 1 hr hot tub in the spa (with disposable bathing suits) which we appreciated. Travellers may wish to try to book a room in a middle block, as the sliding windows do not close tightly and it can be noisy from either the nearby street night life and rooftop generators, and we did get mosquito bites. The included supper and breakfast was fine, though watch the milk - -the hot milk had gone off.
- GSTToronto (8/5): Good location, management improvements needed - We spent 2 nights after doing the Inca Trail. Good central location but can be noisy since the doors and windows don’t really seal well ( common on our trip through Peru). Poorly managed though. Front desk poorly organized. On the second day, there was not hot water after a day hike to Machu Picchu mountain. Phoned the front desk. They promised to get back to me but didn’t. Went out for lunch unshowered and told a housekeeping staff in our hallway who walkie talkied someone on the spot. Came back 2 hours later, still only lukewarm water. No note from management apologizing. Also bar charges on checkout that didn’t belong to us. Room was fine otherwise and food decent.
- klaus (6/5): Machu Picchu stay - It was quiet, no noise from anywhere in the room The room leaked water and we were not offered another room suitable for us. The staff seemed sometimes totally overworked and not in control of things. Breakfast lagged finesse, just food with no style or class, dinner was just about ok, but very small portions.
- Beatriz (6/5): Overpriced hotel but good location - The location of the hotel ir really good and the room was big and very comfortable. The quality of the food is low and the spa is not included in the price you have to pay additional, also the staff at the reception is not friendly. I would not go back is overpriced for what you have included
O atendimento no jantar no restaurante deixou a desejar.
- yatri63 (8/5): Well located, great atmosphere - My experience here was a mixed bag.
I stayed in a suite room for 1 night on our way to Machu Picchu.
The hotel and rooms were very clean. The check-in and check-out were efficient. The suite was large with a bedroom & sitting areas separated by the shower & bathroom.
The location is great, just a short walk from the train station. The food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar were excellent, with very good service. They even offered to bring our bags to the train station in time for our train back to Cuzco, which was very helpful.
So overall it was a great experience, but with a few room design issues that I was surprised to see. Firstly, there is no door separating the bedroom and sitting area, just a flimsy plastic curtain, and as I was sharing the room with my son, this was kind of uncomfortable. Secondly, there is no place to hang your towel or even put your soap and shampoo in the shower area. You have to leave them on the floor of the shower and bend down to pick them up when you need them! That’s ridiculous, and I hope they do something about this for future guests.
Other than this, I have just nice memories of our stay there.
- LondonPBJB (8/5): A good location to visit Machu Picchu from. - I think people stay one or two nights here at most and I think that is reflected in the way the hotel operates. Dinner is included in the night rate and is a highly organised affair but surprisingly good despite the two mass sittings. The bar was a bit noisy, some will like the lively atmosphere, we weren’t so keen. Breakfast starts at 4.00 am which sounds ridiculous but our pass on to Machu Picchu was at 7am which meant breakfast around 5.30 so again it worked.
They collect your luggage at the station so you can go straight to Machu Picchu or look around the town. A much-appreciated service.
The hotel is clean and modern, the bedrooms basic but clean and well decorated.
The staff were all helpful. A good location to visit Machu Picchu from as it's near to the bus service up there.
- Wizgirl (6/5): Typical transit hotel - Food was great and dinner included in rate was welcomed, room was comfortable but it was so so noisy. Little noise insulation, a phone continuously ringing in the room next door meant this was not a relaxing start and one I wouldn’t seek to do again.
- ALFREDO (7/5): -
- 139grahami (6/5): Nice but could be better staff very helpful though - A very busy hotel with nice, but small, clean rooms. Evening meals are very busy and overcrowded, we struggle to get a table and breakfast same. But staff are pleasant
- Youssouf (8/5): Great hotel, central with a great spa but skip the food. - Very well located, just by Ministerio del Cultura, which is great if you need to wake up early to buy tickets. The spa was really nice. The food is average.
- LandeleK (10/5): Miguel best server - Miguel provided us amazingly 10 star service at dinner and breakfast. His omelettes started our day off right!
- Muhammad (4/5): Food and service was disappointing, rooms were satisfactory. - Location Extra payments for a 5 year old in a family/suite room, and additional charges for a number of things was extremely disappointing. €180 for a 5 year old for 2 nights is extremely expensive. The room itself can easily fit 2 adults and 1 child so having to pay for a huge amount for the child was extortionate. Additionally the breakfast and lunch was extremely poor.
- Minna (8/5): Good for a transit overnight! - Great location in heart of village - dinner included in the price and decent quality food. Insects inside the room, room card didn’t work to begin with and had to have it reactivated. The hotel does the job but isn’t memorable.
- Márcio (8/5): Boa estadia. - Localização Muita escada.
- 762omairah (10/5): Amazing drinks and food and friendly service - José and the colleagues behind the bar and kitchen did an amazing job. The food was incredible and the drinks were also really tasty. Jose was so kind and friendly and made our visit memorable. Definitely recommend!
- N3903VXrafaeld (10/5): Location + - Location location location … the hotel is located in the heart of Aguas Calientes, just a small walk of the main square, market, train station, bus station … no more than 5 mins walk anywhere. The bar is great - Jose did a great job mixing our pisco sours and letting us man the music tablet for a nice bohemian night. The dining room restaurant was also nice. Great choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Roger the maitre D seem to always be there and running a tight ship. Miguel at the breakfast omelette/egg station was fantastic every morning. We visited the other well known hotels, all nice, but for us El MaPi was a great balance of all we enjoyed and then location location location!
- Dorcas Wanza (8/5): -
- keithtC3425TN (10/5): Machu Picchu recovery - Had Willian as our server—Outstanding! Coldest beers in Peru and nice chat on the area.
- joleneb994 (10/5): We had the best time at El Mali at the bar in mavhchu picchu our waiter Willy turned us on to Patrimonio pisco delicious - We love William and Patrimonio pisco ❤️
- Z5069CJronp (10/5): Two Great Nights in Aquas Calientes - Location is near train and bus stations and to walk main streets of Aquas Calientes.
- kellybW4792OG (10/5): Bar Scene - We have just finished the Incan Trail. This happy hour and bar food was fantastic. Jose and Roger were great help.
- Maria Cecilia (1/5): Llegamos y no habia espacio!
- Stuart (9/5): Very pleasant, wonderful staff - Good looking hotel, great room, wonderful, helpful staff. Good location. Would have liked a pool & gym
- Ali (7/5): -
- makiko (10/5): -
- daniella (7/5): -
- Marina (7/5): - Location was really close to the Machu Picchu bus Food was ok but could've been better
- Maxwell (10/5): Great spot for seeing Machu Picchu - Very good breakfast and dinner. Arrival and departure assistance at train station was very helpful. Good location. Made the early morning trip to Machu Picchu easy.
- Anderson (7/5): Good value for the money - I felt it was a good value for the money. Location is good, but the village is also very small. Having breakfast and dinner included was a nice plus. The food was either okay or bad, depending on the dish, including breakfast. Noise isolation is also essentially nonexistent.
- Y4798SJroryb (10/5): Macchu and Mapi for New Years - Pueblo de Machu Picchu is a wonderful and lovely place to spend new years, and El Mapi was a beautiful place to say during our time here. The accommodations and staff are wonderful, especially the bartender Jennifer who made us the best pisco sours of the whole trip and Jhonnie who was very attentive during a delicious dinner.
- D6138VMjeffreys (10/5): Amazing service, food and amenities - What a spectacular hotel! What was even better was the bar and restaurant. Roger’s service and attention to detail was superb. He is amongst the best! Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!
- lizzs603 (10/5): EL MAPI EXPERIENCE - Very good buffet, service great specially waiter Roger very kind, friendly, very professional. I totally recommend this place!
- U7428ZIrichardl (10/5): El Mapi - Roger was excellent and the best. He was attentive and really helpful with everything. His service was splendid, and I thank him for the good experience.
- JeanDTravel (10/5): Dinner after Machu Pichu visit - We had a three course dinner at the El Mapi restaurant. Roger was our server and he gave great advice about what options were the best in the menu. Great dinner experience after a hike on Machu Pichu.
- CESAR (10/5): Ok - Ok Ok
- Lee-Anne (6/5): Poor management. - Location and bed size Poor experience with the acting manager of the hotel. The booking included breakfast and dinner so before booking I contacted them to ask if they could accommodate two vegans. They assured me they could so we went ahead and booked. It turns out that they don’t think we need any type of protein - just carbs and vegetables. So we asked them to fix this for our second night. Offered 3 solutions - source some protein from somewhere, give a refund for the meals part of the booking so we could go elsewhere or refund the second night and we would go elsewhere. The ‘manager’ claimed not to be able to do any of these things. So we went to the restaurant next door and they agreed to supply el MaPi with some seitan. Problem solved. I do think the manager could have attempted to solve this herself rather than tell us there was nothing she could do. I’m not sure what the point of a manager is if she isn’t able to ‘manage’ a relatively simple situation. The hotel claims to be 4 stars. I’d say more like a 3 - the rooms are very basic.
- jc5025 (10/5): Wonderful hotel with exceptional service! - Our stay at El MaPi Hotel in Machu Picchu was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and welcoming, with a relaxing atmosphere that feels like the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. The attention to detail, comfort, and overall ambiance made our experience truly memorable.
A special highlight of our stay was the exceptional service in the restaurant, especially from Roger, our waiter. Roger went above and beyond to make every meal enjoyable. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely accommodating, always making sure we had everything we needed and more. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out and added a personal touch that made us feel well cared for.
El MaPi is a fantastic hotel with outstanding service, and Roger’s hospitality perfectly reflects the high standards of the staff. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Machu Picchu and would gladly stay here again.
- thomashE9173DM (2/5): Not a 4 star - Room was small and no air con or wash cloths. Brown water and sink and shower took a long time to drain.
Had to open windows to keep cool but then you can hear all the revelry outside.
Worst part of the stay was the included dinner which was inedible
Drinks are very overpriced
Can’t complain about breakfast but would not stay again.
- hbrown40 (10/5): Modern - A nice cool place after our warm hike. It was very clean and the buffet had great options. Roger was friendly and attentive. We were exhausted so this was a nice choice!
- Gabriela (10/5): - Comodidad
- Nomad287125 (10/5): Great place to go! - Jane, John and Natalie were amazing! Drinks and service were perfect! Definitely recommend. They were super friendly!
- susany225 (10/5): Great ambience! - Fantastic experience! Great hospitality and ambience. Service was amazing. Will visit again! Food and drinks are delicious!
- CHE LING (8/5): -
- Daiga (10/5): -

- davidbM5113RE (8/5): Good option for Machu Picchu visit - An excellent option when planning a leisurely visit to Machu Picchu. Centrally located, well maintained, friendly staff, good food, comfortable rooms. Aguas Calientes is v touristy so if you want quiet, ask for quiet room. We did and slept well. Note no tea or coffee facilities in standard rooms and checkout is 10am. That meant during the day the lobby was full of former guests waiting to catch the train back to Cusco. Overall would recommend.
- Jacques (8/5): A three nights stay (that could have been shorted to two) to have several rounds of the Machu Picchu - The property is located on the heart of Aguas Calientes a few steps away from the train station and the bus station to go to the Machu Picchu site.
We opted for an upgrade for a suite (50 USD a night) that gave us one hour of private Spa.
Staff is welcoming and very helpful (one from the reception took me to the office of the transportation service to buy the tickets to go to the Machu Picchu site).
Food for breakfast and dinner was good (albeit the set menu remains the same for the three nights of our stay). The hotel is hosting groups and hence is very loud, particularly in the restaurant both at breakfast and diner.
While we were supposed to enjoy a one-hour private spa we at the surprise to find the previous users who did not leave as scheduled. Instead since they did not show any sign to leave we left the facility.
It is shocking that staff does not enforce the rules when uneducated clients do not respect them.
A last word on the laundry service, quite expensive when you considered that you did not received folded or ironed, just washed in the same bag that was used for pick up.
- 11cristhiang (10/5): Bar in Aguas Calientes - The atmosphere was nice and romantic. The stuff was very knowledgeable especially Jhon. Great cocktails and great attention. Jhon was very kind and helpful, can’t wait to comeback
- Har0ldZ (10/5): Birthday celebration - Great place and service revived by Damarys, also it was a great surprised received a cake as a gift for my birthday. Pisco sour and the happy our a perfect match
- Asma (1/5): Very expensive for facility and service provided - Location They refused late check out so l stayed less than 12hrs and they did not try to support
- Colleen (10/5): - Josef Franco was amazing! He served us at dinner and took extra time to make us feel at home.
- corinnet772 (10/5): We’ll be back! - Went to the restaurant at EL MaPi and Roger was our waiter. Roger was so courteous and attentive. He recommended great food and drinks and definitely has us wanting to come back!
Our stay at this hotel was top notch and just what we needed after visiting Machu Picchu.
- Z3467EXjacks (10/5): Nice hotel, good staff - Great location and lovely food, particularly the quinoa chowder which after a day of hiking certainly hit the spot. Our host at dinner, Roger, was very attentive and all round a lovely person.
- 575stewartt (10/5): Great meal and service - We had an early dinner after a long day travelling to Aquas Calientes from Lima via Cusco. Roger was our waiter and he was very attentive, helpful with a food allergy, and also went out of his way to describe various Peruvian fruits to us. The meals were delicious especially our limon pie. This restaurant is a great place to have a meal when visiting this lovely town.
- Lcarmen718 (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay – Definitely Not a Four-Star Hotel - I booked this hotel expecting a four-star experience, but honestly, I’m not sure what their idea of “four-star” is—or where. The only positive thing I can say is that the lobby looked modern and inviting. Unfortunately, that’s where the good impressions ended.
The rooms were nothing like what I expected. The bathroom, in particular, was unacceptable. It had a cheap clear shower curtain printed with messages about energy saving, which looked more like something from a budget motel than a four-star hotel.” The mirror tried to be quirky with phrases like “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” but it came off tacky rather than stylish. Worst of all, there was visible mold on the shower ceiling.
When I called the front desk to ask for a new room, they said they couldn’t move me and would just “clean it.” I explained that mold isn’t something you just wipe away, but since I was exhausted and only staying one night, I let them do it.
Then things got even worse. When I turned on the water to wash my face, it came out brown. I called again, and the staff told me that all the rooms had brown water. That was completely unacceptable—I was forced to stay in a room with dirty water and mold.
This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The lobby may look nice, but don’t be fooled. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

- Global46493550345 (10/5): Delicious meal with excellent service - As a family of 4, we had a very nice meal here, which was included with our room. The meal consisted of a starter, main, and dessert; the food was very good and the portion sizes were perfect. Roger’s service was impeccable and made the meal even more pleasant.
- alistairb1954 (8/5): Good traveller hotel - Great traveller hotel .comfortable rooms .helpful staff and a good bar .the happy hour is excellent.
Breakfast was ok as was dinner
- sueaI5205II (4/5): Poor food and service - Did not have a good experience here, been in Peru for 9 days and the food and service has been great until I stayed at El Mapi. Poor quality food and slow service even though you had to choose your food hours before and had a set time to eat. If you are unfortunate enough to be booked in here check your bill as I was overcharged and although I should have noticed at the time they were unhelpful and wouldn’t refund when I pointed out the mistake the next day.
- PlymouthPete19 (8/5): The food is the standout - Although this is a large hotel with a rather corporate feel, it has a pleasant lobby area. Our room too, was nice with a large, comfy bed and a good shower, but no view. Meals were included and the food proved to be very good with a wide selection of tasty hot and cold dishes for the buffet lunch, a equally good 3 course dinner and a high quality breakfast including some nice fruit. Vegetarian and diabetic diets were very well catered for.
The bar was a bit expensive and the happy hour prices didn't seem to reflect the bargain advertised, but there's plenty of other options immediately outside.
Bag storage was well organised.
Whilst this hotel lacks a bit of character, we felt it was a good option during our short stay to visit Machu Picchu.
- srhs12 (8/5): Great waiter - Roger was great and enabled me to have an adjusted menu to fit with my medical diet, without any fuss at all. He was helpful and polite.
- Travel25097967606 (6/5): Disappointing and not 4-star - I see other reviews have been more favourable but I have to say our experience was not the best. We stayed only one night after a visit up Machu Picchu and whilst the welcome at reception was warm we were disappointed from thereon in. Our room was super large but sparsely furnished and felt cold & damp (I am never cold!). Maybe because the section where our room was situated was built into the stone rock - so nothing that can be done about that. The heating didn’t help and the sheets felt damp when we went to bed.
The bar area was not the most comfortable unless you managed to bag the settee. We had a drink and asked for our bill. I would like to stress here that we tipped EVERYONE on our journey through Peru - generously! But I did not like the waitress standing over us saying don’t forget to tip me and how much are you giving me! We are refined travellers and don’t need to be told how to conduct ourselves.
Furthermore at breakfast I noticed the uncovered fruit did not look appealing for reasons that probably can’t be helped if you leave food uncovered. I’ll say no more. The breakfast area could have been cleaner and our ordered omelettes given to someone else.
Disappointing for a 4-star rated hotel.
The area where this hotel is situated is such touristy so only to be expected as no doubt pretty much everyone who stays is just passing through - no return custom for the hotel to worry about or build on.
All the other hotels we stayed at on our journey through Peru were fabulous so just unlucky on this one occasion.
- 274shainac (8/5): Nice, comfy hotel - We only spent one night here. The room was small but comfortable. We had everything we needed on site (a great restaurant, nice bar, etc) but the location is ideal for exploring the city. The staff were super helpful, storing our luggage and bringing it to meet us at the train station. We could hear a musician playing outside our window- he was really good!! Super nice hotel overall, would stay there again.
- F4230SNdianer (10/5): Amazing experience. Great waiter. - Amazing lunch at el Mapi. . Roger was our waiter - so kind and knowledgeable! He set the stage for our experience in the city.
- Offthemat (10/5): Great hotel in a great location - What a surprise in the middle of Aguis Calientes. We were only fortunate to stay 1 night as we were booked by our Tour Company Top Peru Trips post our Short Inca Trek and MP visit following day. Gladly would have stayed 2 nights to enjoy oy and AG more. Very very confortable, clean and ideally located. Dinner ( set meal sitting times) and breakfast was included which was a bonus. Staff very friendky and helpful.
- 40inesm (10/5): Bar @ El Mapi by Inglaterra - Hey guys! Just heads up if you want to hop on a bar during your stay at Aguascalientes stay I recommend you the one at El Mapi by Inglaterra. There you will find Natalie and Adamarys, they are amazing bartenders and will make you feel like family. Specially when traveling solo, you want amazing people to
Talk to. I highly recommend this place :)
- gardencity285 (8/5): Chic place to stay in MP - Arrived after a chaotic train journey in the middle of the night and found the place an oasis of calm. Staff were clearly prepared and the room was smart, chic, minimalistic and very comfortable. Food was good and their system of dealing with the luggage was simple, yet very efficient. Had a lovely stay there, thank you.
- 788krzysztofl (10/5): Loved This Place! - We had a wonderful stay at El MaPi Hotel in Aguas Calientes. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the atmosphere was perfect after a long day of exploring.
The restaurant was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to our waiter, Roger, who went above and beyond—he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. His recommendations were spot on and added so much to our dining experience.
We also enjoyed the massage at the spa, which was excellent and the perfect way to relax after hiking.
Overall, El MaPi is an excellent choice if you’re staying in Aguas Calientes. Comfortable accommodations, great food, relaxing spa treatments, and outstanding service—especially thanks to Roger!
- amllm01 (10/5): Mapi Inkatara Hotel in Aguas Calientes! - Great stay at Mapi Inkatara Hotel in Aguas Calientes! The hotel is perfectly located in the center of town. The food was delicious and fresh, and our server Roger gave excellent service—friendly, attentive, and very professional. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Machu Picchu.
- 314LH (8/5): Nice - Beautiful hotel, excellent location near all the shops, restaurants, etc. in this gorgeous town (the stepping off place to visit Machu Picchu). Unfortunately, the central location also makes for a lot of street noise, sometimes far into the night, not helped by the hardwood flooring. Rooms are comfortable with nice bedding, mini fridge, tea kettle, standard toiletries (robe/slippers). Nice restaurant with generous included breakfast.
- Michael (6/5): - Two things: pick up at train station as promised was late, so I had already given up and turned my phone data on (costs $) to find my way to the hotel when suddenly he showed up. If there’s one thing to do at the outset, is ge the pickup right. Not the best foot forward.
Also, the spa seemed confused a flustered when I walked in without a reservation just to have a sauna and hot bath on my own as a Day Pass. The spa seemed empty, and no English spoken, which is a little surprising since the package pamphlet was bilingual. Anyway, I tried to communicate but gave up as not worth the confusion.
The dinner the second night was a bit of a challenge as the restaurant was full and after 20 minutes had to ask for someone to take my order.
The food itself was excellent.
- Deborah (10/5): - We had a lovely room with comfy beds and a great shower after our Inca Trail hike. The included dinner was good and the spa services were excellent. The staff was also very helpful holding our bags and delivering them to our room.. We also enjoyed walking around the area around the hotel and the market and it was only a block to walk to the train station.
- stuart55 (6/5): Average - Very rushed service
Our waiter (Roger) was very nice, but the food choices were limited and were average at best.
Not particularly comfortable seating on a grubby sofa too low for the table
- Edwin (10/5): - Amazing
- T7190AUamyp (10/5): “Great Stay with Exceptional Service – Just a Bit Noisy” - We had a wonderful stay overall. The location is fantastic, close to everything we needed, and the amenities and staff were excellent throughout our visit. A special mention goes to Roger, our server at the restaurant—he was absolutely amazing, attentive, and made our dining experience memorable.
That said, a couple of things to keep in mind: the rooms don’t have air conditioning, which might be uncomfortable during warmer days, and noise from the main street can be an issue, especially at night.
Despite that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it for the excellent service and hospitality.
- manuelgR7826IS (10/5): Delicious and presentable - This place offered the best meal in all of Aguascalientes. The restaurant was clean and orderly. The buffet had a large variety to choose from, including the soup and pasta bar. Roger, our main server was extremely attentive and pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Aguascalientes.
- barbararA8646ML (8/5): Great place for Machu Picchu - We enjoyed our stay… clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, fun happy hour, central location. Very pleased. Three of us treated ourselves to massages and we all had a great experiences! We would recommend El Mapi without hesitation!

- 318nd (4/5): So Disappointing - We have previously stayed at the Inkaterra’s Hacienda Concepcion and Urubamba, which are fabulous, so expectations were high. However, we were so disappointed.
We went to the bar for their happy hour but the music was so loud we were forced to sit outside to escape it. We ordered beers but were informed that the they had run out of ‘happy hour’ beers so we would have to pay full price. I suggested that we should only have to pay half price for the beers as we had come for the offer. There was no budging on this so I asked to speak to a manager. Instead of returning with a manager, the waitress returned with the half price beers freshly chilled from the fridge. We later learned that other members of our group had been charged full price for the offer drinks without any explanation.
Our group had had to select their evening meal choices at check in. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, the staff seemed surprised to see us. We stood watching as they held urgent conversations then rearranged furniture to accommodate us.
Large dogs roamed freely around both the bar and restaurant.
Our room was small but clean. Despite being several buildings away from the loud bar, the music from it reverberated around the room. The acoustics were terrible so we heard everyone pass in the corridor.
At 4am, our entire group was awoken by barking dogs. At breakfast, we realised that one of the barking dogs was lying in the lobby. No staff member attempted to chase it out.
Breakfast was poor.
The situation was good and most of the noise emanated from the hotel itself.
- annaaU7621ND (10/5): Restaurant was great - While we only stayed one night in the hotel, we enjoyed the restaurant twice. They had breakfast early so you can begin your trek up the mountain (if you are hiking like we did). Joseph, our waiter for dinner, was fantastic, was a wealth of knowledge, and a smiling face. We have realized now that our tip was awful and wish we could correct it, but hope he somehow sees how much we appreciated his service, company, and sharing his info of this city.
- Antonia (10/5): Ótima opção de hospedagem - Tudo límpo é organizado, ótima localização Gostei de tudo
- Rajeev (8/5): - I wish the location was not in the center of town although it is very lucrative but can be quite busy at night and noisy at times. Otherwise we had a great time at the property.
- 930frejad (10/5): Amazing - Really beautiful hotel, spa was really amazing and our waiter Joseph Franco was very helpful, particularly with allergies.
- giovanna (9/5): - Hotel lindo!
- YoungBrian (10/5): Great dinner and experience - Dinner with Jhunior and Roger was just delightful. They could not do enough for us. Beautiful people and very helpful. When ordering wine, they will help you with your selection and there Pisco Sours are the best in Machu Pisco. Do not hesitate to ask them for anything
