Guest Reviews

- Gates (8/5): -
- Kelsey (7/5): Understand the cost may not be worth it for germaphobes and quiet people. - The pool is very clean!
Perfect location in between all the beaches if you want to drive.
Great price. Room was a bit dirty, I found a fry under the night stand and we didn’t eat fries in the room. A few spots on the covers, not too big of a deal they are clearly bleached but still a bit gross. And we didn’t even get the room we wanted after arriving nearly an hour and a half after check in. Weird men staring at me the entirety of the stay until I said something to them.
- James (4/5): Would not recommend to anyone - Staff was nice enough, although I had specifically booked a pet friendly room through the booking app and when I got there they had to change my room because it was apparently not pet friendly and it raised the overall price. Heating and AC unit worked. Shower was seemingly newly updated and was clean. The room was filthy. Obviously had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Floors were gross and gritty/sticky. Cobwebs in every corner. Patches of drywall texture missing in places with cracks in the walls all over. Mismatched paint everywhere. Half the curtains were missing. "Clean" Towels had stains and marks on almost all of them. Found someone's dirty nose piercing on the floor in the bathroom. Beds were terrible. You can feel the springs through the mattress.
- Taylor (8/5): It was overall amazing! Only down side was no microwave in our room! Which was difficult with a toddler - Loved the pool, had comfortable and spacious rooms! No microwave in room!
- Davis (7/5): - I like the location the price and the pool. I have stayed here a couple times. I really like room 119 other than it’s so far from the pool. No breakfast, no hot tub, seems like they never have pool towels. The pool area roof was open while raining in January. Hate that is going down hill. Hope to see it get some TLC soon!! 🤞

- Ashley (8/5): Stay was great! - Pool, and triple beds Location was weird
- Arlene (9/5): Nice Room. - Nice, clean room. Conveniently located near gas & restaurants. Easy to find.
- Jean (3/5): - The staff are very nice. The hotel is woefully lacking with their accommodations.
With 2 people staying, there was only 1 chair. When we requested a second, they could only get a very uncomfortable straight back chair which was physically painful, making it terribly uncomfortable for more than a couple of minutes.
The phone didn't work, and when questioned about getting a working phone, I was told a lot of the phones don't work.
The scary thing is the power points
because the plugged in devices would fall out. Some exposed power points.
Not kid or adult safe.
The tub/shower was so slippery, if there hadn't been a grab bar, I would have fallen hard. I couldn't let go of the bar. Hard to wash when you're hanging on for dear life.
The staff tried to accommodate our needs, but it seems they were trying to work with scarce resources.
Bottom line, no comfort, really crowded... double room in a single room space, leaving no space to move around. Having to squeeze in to get to the other side of the table to sit in an unforgiving chair.
It was not a great experience, and certainly didn't justify the price of the room!

- Chelsie (5/5): - The girl that checked me in that day, she was super nice, super friendly. There was a little bit of confusion, but she tried to help as best as she could. I was overcharged and was supposed to get a refund and I ended up not and I called to get this addressed and was told a manager would call me and I never had a returned a phone call and this happened twice.
- Kelly (7/5): -
- Jean (7/5): It was good, but could have been better with a few changes... - Staff was really nice and accomodating. Room was clean. Location was convenient.
I liked the place and will return, but will have some requests that might make my stay a bit more comfortable.
Pool would have been great if I had used it... I will next time. My room was clean, but lacked any comfortable furniture... The bed was very hard. The chairs were not comfortable for more than a few minutes. The internet was spotty and frustrating.... I needed a second trash can...
TV was boring... no special channels to get away from commercials.
- Neary (8/5): -
- Seth (8/5): -
- Kiefer (8/5): -
- Bouchard (8/5): I really enjoyed my stay would stay again and hopefully get same room 307 or 308 i forgot - I liked everything, and mostly with my handicap that they accommodated us in downstairs room The shower drain was clogged /or slow to drain
- David (10/5): -
- Helena (6/5): Good - I like that they allow pets, its off the main road but off of it enough you don't hear traffic, close to stores and restaurants. We stay here everytime we visit Brookings. The beds could be a little softer but still comfortable.
- kathy (8/5): The pool was clean, warm and didn't feel gross from being warm grandkids love it - There was no breakfast. I had my grandchildren with me ,we tried a early check in but got shot down ,it would be great if people could possibly check in early ,but I do understand the house keeping are probably finishing rooms. We got there little after 3 everything was fine.
- Dennis (9/5): - Clean rooms awesome price
- Emily (7/5): For the price it was good. I would stay here again. - It was clean and good location. The hot tub is no longer a thing there. Which we were totally planning on it. But didn’t find out until we checked it that is no longer working. They need to update their booking.
Our room smelled really musty. Like there was a leak at one point and it didn’t get fully clean up properly.
- Rosa (4/5): You get what you pay for, lesson learned. - The kids like the indoor heated pool. When we first got to the hotel there were several people in the parking lot by out room smoking, then the bathroom had pee on the toilet seat, and finally ants all over the table and along the wall. A immediately went to the store and bought a bunch of cleaning supplies because we were out of funds for another hotel room.
- Shane (7/5): Over all it was ok - The room had three bed and the kids enjoyed the pool There was gold fish crackers by the head of the bed
- TIFFANY (10/5): -
- Brice (1/5): Horrible couldn't sleep very uncomfortable beds - The lady at the front desk was nice. The beds were absolutely terrible none of us slept all night was like laying on a piece of ply wood
- Edith (6/5): Needs some TLC - Good location Ants in the room
- Hill (3/5): - Very disappointed with this facility. It’s nothing ever close to what’s advertised.
- Aleta (6/5): It was a good stay we would probably stay again but would request an upstairs room. - I liked the location of the property. I also liked that the rooms were spacious and seemed to be pretty clean. It was pretty loud. If you are on the bottom floor and have people above you, you can hear everything. This went well into the night. The rooms were nice but there wasn’t anything that stood out about them. They were dated, and didn’t really have anything to make it “homey”
- Lonny (5/5): - Did not like people in the pool at 2am.
- Crystal (10/5): -
- Info (6/5): It was good for the price - My grandkids liked the pool and that was the reason I chose this hotel. The carpet was old. I definitely didn't walk on it barefooted.
- Kylee (5/5): Dirty, water damage but what do I expect for a heck of a deal - Staff was really great love the indoor pool that feels like an outdoor pool Wallpaper coming off from water damage the bathroom leaks so bad everything around the toilet floor to ceiling was dripping wet toilet seat is peeling and shredding one of the beds is completely caved in we were just disappointed because the family suite is hard to find in that area and we were just a bit grossed out but didn’t want to upset the staff who were awesome I might add
- Stacy (8/5): -
- Annette (6/5): -
- Fabio (9/5): Good quality price ratio - Location and staff Little details: maybe add a microwave in the room and lotion for post shower
- Amanda (5/5): Ok. - Our room was thankfully clean. Apparently only one house keeper was working. She did a great job. Our check in time was 3pm. I have 4 children and after a long drive they were ready to get out of the car and relax and use the pool. After The third time trying to check in, our room was finally ready at 6pm. The front desk packed empathy.
- Benancio (10/5): - Everything was fine and happy that all food places there were closed to Well, since you guys asked, breakfast will be good
- Bev (10/5): -
- Mary (7/5): - The pool was warmer than expected, staff was very accommodating. Our room didn't have a microwave so we ended up eating out more than expected.
Wish the room would have had a table and chairs for coffee- there was a lot of room for it.
Hot tub was closed down
- Stacy (8/5): Very clean, beds comfy - Triple room with three queens , means 3 teens didn't have to share a bed, and two queen room that covered the rest of us. Very clean. I wish the pool was open longer than 9pm. We got there at 830pm, and didn't have time to swim, which was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. Also there is no longer a hot tub.
- Parks (10/5): - The workers were very freindly as allways Im getting older and the bed was pretty hard and hurt my back
- Gangale (8/5): Love this hotel - Comfortable beds very homey rooms Nothing

- Robert (10/5): -
- Sean (4/5): -
- Phyllis (9/5): - Great value for the money. When was minimalist and very clean. Felt like a welcoming rest. Loud guests having party in parking lot, however, Staff addressed immediately when requested to intervene. Late breakfast hours. Didn't start until 7:30a.m. but staff let us have xome fruit and cold cereal early do we could get on the road.
- Caitlin (8/5): - The room was clean, the pool was well kept and the staff noticed us going to the pool and brought us towels.
We were pleasantly surprised for the price.
- Ursula (5/5): - The pool Place wasn't very clean floors were dirty countertops had coffee grounds on them and the TV sucked
- Sara (7/5): -
- Lynne (10/5): -
- Andy (4/5): The bed was disappointing and creaky and really low to the ground - What breakfast? The bed was uncomfortable neighbors upstairs were loud way past 10pm
- Masood (9/5): - room
- Kathleen (5/5): Not a pleasant experience, will not stay here again. - There was a strong smell of lysol when we walked in the room. We had to air it out and open the windows and turn on the fan. The carpet on the walkway was worn and patched and risk of tripping was increased. The tiny soap at the sink and bath was difficult to use without dropping.
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Frances (10/5): Quiet, peaceful - The staff , the pool , the breakfast buffet Can’t think of a thing
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Laurene (10/5): -
- Mark (7/5): Staff was very accomodating. - Good parking for our motorcycles.
- Sara (9/5): -
- Bonnie (7/5): -
- Tressa (5/5): - There was a pool and 3 queen beds fit our family in one room. No breakfast offered. No employee on site after 10pm. Swim towels had to be retrieved from the office. Hand and dirt marks on every door in room. Light shades had duct tape on them. Very run down, for the price I expected better.
- Barry (5/5): We made it work - Cleanliness
- Travis (7/5): -
- Rona (10/5): Comfortable - No breakfast
Never was told their was a pool See above
- Daryl (9/5): - Pool was nice and warm. No breakfast
- Erin (2/5): - The There was no breakfast. The pillows were horrible. And no hottub
- KRISTINE (7/5): - Comfortable, simple and basic accommodations It really is simple and clean, very friendly, just not resort like if that is your expectation
- Mark (3/5): Not as advertised - Although I had an email granting my desire to check in at 3, it was not honored. I had to sit my car and wait 2 hours for the room to be ready. No apology. The WiFi did not reach my room and to go out on the parking lot to use it. The bathtub was broken, with the drain stuck. It filled up,with water after a shower and the only way to empty the tub was to climb in the tub and pull on the valve for 5-7 minutes. Not fun. And the heater/ac was broken, coming on in the middle of the night making loud sounds, even though the unit was set to off
The room was lovely. The price was right. But those issues made it a difficult stay. You shat least give me a reduction on my next stay no

MJmail@mac.com When the rooms features are not as advertised, be honest about it and apologize. That would) have gone a long way n
- Kevin (10/5): - It was quite and clean
- Shannon (5/5): -
- Eduardo (7/5): -
- Cathy (6/5): Ok for one night - The price was good, didn’t use any facilities, trouble with WiFi and TV
- Shon (5/5): - The lack of sound deading between floors. We had a neighbor upstairs that had a child that was running around bouncing a ball at 10:30 at night until after 11 until we called the front office. They were able to take care of the issue.
Also I’ve never stayed at a motel that didn’t have a microwave in the room.
- brian (2/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): We really like it, especially the room rate and the staff. We'll be back. - Nice location, very friendly staff, convenient restaurant and mini mart on site, clean. The parking was a little bit inconvenient but not so much that it made a bad impression. Loved the patio door looking out at the pool but our next door neighbor was a smoker and his smoke drifted into our room so we had to keep the patio door closed. Also, he had a yappy little dog. I love dogs and wasn't particularly bothered by it but it would certainly bother others. Maybe place guests with animals a few doors down from other guests whenever possible?
- Roxanne (5/5): Decent - Bathroom was ruin down.. toilet seat was flimsy and kept shifting. The rest of the stay was decent. Bathroom
- Terry (8/5): -
- Reinaldo (7/5): -
- Sophie (1/5): Basic. Just ok. Call before you stay if you have pets or any other needs. - It is reasonably priced, fairly clean, and in a good location. We’ve stayed a few times as it’s an affordable pet-friendly option. It’s basic but does the job. The manager clearly hates her job and is very rude. We booked a room with a dog but were told all the pet friendly rooms were fully booked so we would have to pay an additional $75 to stay with our dog (despite selecting that we were traveling with a pet at time of booking). She was rude and unhelpful explaining it’s a common problem between booking.com and their system and it was our fault for not calling first, despite having stayed here several times before and not having a previous issue.
- Shawn (10/5): Pleasant - Location & cleanliness.. 000
- Jane (7/5): - The location was great. The grandkids lived the pool. The rooms could use some updating, but they were clean.
- Katie (7/5): -

- Michelle (5/5): -
- Davis (5/5): Over all I was happy - Room was very spacious!! It was on the end of building so it was easy to take my dog around back for the bathroom. Most importantly it was clean! I will definitely ask for this room in the future. Please keep it a pet friendly room! 119 that is!! I was disappointed to hear there no more spa. There no towels for pool. The windows in the top of the pool awning/ building were open so it was raining on us even though it was indoor pool. I woke up to a puddle in my room from where it was raining so hard it came through the window frame/wall. I told the sweet lady at the front desk. I am not upset about it. If it’s never mentioned it’s never gonna be repaired and just cause more damage. Again I am not upset just bring the attention where it needed! ☺️
- Jeff (6/5): - Good location for me.older hotel....I knew that checking in, still coild use some upgrades..but not bad for the price for a one night stay I attempted to check in early the woman at the counter was rude, and I was told they were very busy and only had one person cleaning. Then I was told check in time was not until 4.
There was one other car in the parking lot at the time. Far from busy
I left, looked at my booking info. And read that check in time was 3. So I went bsck at 3 and observed the initial person I talked with was leaving.
I talked to the next person on shift and she was kind and checked me in right away. There was still only one other car in the parking lot..
