- rosiejacq (6/5): Good view - It's a lovely looking motel from the outside. However, a bit different inside the bathroom was very small. Some mould around the shower door and ceiling, and there is no fan in the bathroom . At night, the room was bright due to outside light. I don't sleep well, so the room was bright. Good view from the balcony. However, the air con leaked from upstairs, making balcony slippy. Easy walk location into town .
- petti77 (4/5): So disappointed - Booked a 2 bedroom with sea views. What we got was a tired bland unit shoved away in a corner on the ground floor. The only views were between parked cars from outside the unit with no outside chairs or table and long grass. The toilet only flushed when it felt like it and there was little hot water. It took a full 5 mins to get enough for a shower! Definitely felt cheated and wouldn’t stay again. Aldo very confused check-in with reception in neighbouring hotel.

The view however was dumb and not beach front at all. - In general the room was ok, the bathroom floors could definitely use a scrub. The main reason for giving it a 2 was because we booked a beach front room. The info as I was booking, said beach front and we were all very excited to have the view of Marine parade. However we were at the back of the motel and our view was the motel across the road! This was 1000% heart breaking.
- I6571YBmelm (2/5): Do not stay here - The worst accommodation I have ever stayed at. The beds are hard and uncomfortable, the motel is tired and run-down and not particularly clean, the shower leaks under the door, flooding the bathroom and making the floor extremely slippery, the hot water is scalding hot and the motel is noisy (the suspected prostitutes in the room above probably didn't help with the noise though). And it's not exactly cheap to stay here. Definitely not worth the money. I don't recommend staying here.
- Nick_the_Kiwi_Boy (2/5): Mouldy - We stayed in a ground floor room and immediately upon opening the door were hit with the distinctive odour of mould/mildew. Absolutely reeked to the point our clothing later smelt of it. The spa bath is right near the carpet and the carpet has clearly rotted from the water. Probably a health hazard to be honest. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
- 906alvaror (6/5): Could do with some improvement - Location and price wise this place is great! Shower leaked quite a bit. It could do a better protection at the bottom of the shower door. Bathroom gets quite wet after each shower Bed and pillows were far too soft . Aircon was quite weak! Room was clean and spacious and serviced each day. TV was quite old and didn’t work as the antenna had been destroyed by previous guests I believe . In room SPA is nice and spacious. Plenty of parking spaces and within walking distance to the shops
- Nattachai (4/5): - The balcony was still dirty after we told the hotel to clean as we want to use in the next morning , they only remove the cardboard but did not clean the place, extremely disappointed.
- Tracy (8/5): - The place was what we needed for a weekend of activities. If we were at the motel more then the lack of privacy between the master bedroom and the kids in the lounge would have been an issue. But since we were there to sleep it was fine. We did have dinner there one night and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Cooktop, electric frypan, kettle, toaster, microwave. Even had pots, Pyrex bowl for cooking with. If you care about the decor of a place then you are likely to find it ‘dated’. But I found the beds comfy, the room warm, the shower pressure amazing and plenty of hot water. Spa bath was great, although strange to have no privacy from bedroom or even the kids. Room was clean and they came each day to fix up. We had a city view but were on the bottom floor so you don’t view anything apart from your car, but again, we didn’t care. It’s close to everything and the walkway was just over the road to start our bike trips. There is issues with condensation on the windows/doors if it’s cold outside which maybe causes a little mould. Would stay again for sure.
- Andrew (6/5): Moved to Shoreline Motel - On morning of arrival day, informed that our room not available due to a fire. Was offered a replacement room with a city view when we had booked an ocean view. Stated we wanted a discount or an ocean view room and eventually given an ocean view room in the Shoreline Motel next door. Spa bath leaked onto floor from underneath, making carpet wet. Reception staff informed but reacted as if they already knew about the problem.

Several walls had ripped or missing wallpaper and lock on door did not function properly. Generally needs a tidy up with maintenance.

It was clear that cleanliness is a top priority here. What impressed me even more was the professionalism and hygiene of the staff. They were not only courteous and helpful but also consistently followed hygiene protocols, which made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean and well-managed place to stay.

- Wendy (10/5): - I have stayed there often. The Management are very accommodating. My grandchildren live in Hawkes Bay so I often stay there with them. They have been so helpful with having an extra child, and last time allowing my sister and I to book in early as flights had been altered and it was tiring and stressful for us. Highly recommend and has become my 'go to' motel when having the kids.

- PAUL (8/5): - The location of the hotel is perfect — right across from the beach and ideal for watching the sunrise. The room we stayed in (Room 21) was okay overall, but it had some issues. The bathroom leaked whenever we took a shower, and the water went through the floor into the hallway carpet, leaving it completely soaked. We informed the staff, and to their credit, they did offer to move us to another room, though it felt like they were already aware of the problem. The room itself looked quite outdated. One of the sliding doors wouldn’t open and seemed stuck. On the positive side, the spa in the bedroom was a unique feature and worked well — it was our first time trying one, so that was a nice experience.

- L1sa23 (8/5): Worth the money! - Good motel. Worth the money for what we were paying for, would go back again 1 day in the future. However, the only downside is the lock for the sliding door to the balcony, the lock was broken & the toilet/bathroom is old style and when you flush the toilet you have to push the button hard on the wall. Also, the housekeeping didnt really clean the jacuzzi properly as there was a lot of sands and dirty as well that's why we had to rinse it before we use. Apart from that, excellent King Size bed, a nice big jacuzzi, a good heat pump, a big lounge & a nice view from the top floor!

Only downside was the steel staircases are so noisy and people were thundering up and down them from early morning until late night. Short stroll to main street, indian restaurant plus fish and chip shops minutes walk away

- G6494VPmikem (2/5): - I would not recommend either the Beachfront or Shoreline motel (both same company) to anyone very poor customer service, I had accommodation booked for 2 nights two weeks ago and unfortunately a storm hit our home area of Nelson Tasman with a state of emergency being declared. As luck would have it our flights were cancelled at 8.20pm on the Friday with us due to fly out 7am. I immediately rang the Beachfront to notify them and after several attempts I left a message on the answer service, with a further 10 attempts to call them Saturday they did not answer their phone. 8pm on Saturday they called me and asked when I was checking in, when I explained about the storm etc and that I had left a message on their answer service and that the did not pick up the phone the answer I got was as I hadn't notified them the accommodation cost was not refundable. after a week of talking to the Beachfront/Shoreline and Expedia about some show of understanding I have given up. very unprofessional conduct by this company I would recommend looking elsewhere

- Leeanne (6/5): - Great veiw from our room on the second floor, 3 floors in total and no elevator but the stairs are not steep. Room was clean and price was cheap. This hotel has so much potential but is in a desperate need of a refurbishment. Kitchens seem quite new, beds were comfortable linen was clean. The first room we were put in was a complete health hazard, wall paper hanging off and walls covered in mould, we requested a new room the lady at reception didnt seem to understand my issue (English was not her first language) Cleaners cme over and assisted us with the room change. Woken up at 7am by rubbish trucks emptying all the bins at the complex and there doesnt seem to be and sound proofing as we heard every car. Once it has been refurbished this place will be absolutely amazing.

Motel in good location, easy stroll into town and nice view out to waterfront.

- Geneva (4/5): - The room was okay, bit dated - but clean and spacious - no complaints. BUT - our biggest problem was that it was on the 3rd floor - where there are no elevators and external stairs. We arrived at night in the rain and were soaked by time we hurled all our bags up. We were staying 3 nights so it was real inconvenient up and down all those stairs. Recommend they specify when booking rooms which flights they are on - if I had known it was 3rd floor, no elevator, external stairways...I would have booked smaller rooms for our family on the ground. Otherwise - good location, rooms cleaned daily, no other issues.
