Rooms are basic but ours was comfortable. I would stay there again (and there were several people I encountered there who had stayed there multiple times).

Nice simple Israeli breakfast offered and a feeling of Home in inviting use of the kitchen. I enjoyed meeting the other guests as well.
• Kenneth (10/5): - Loved this place. If you're not renting a vehicle, as I did not, this is the place for you. A minute's walk to the tram, which takes you to the old city in 10 minutes one way, or Yad Veshem 10 minutes in the other direction. Also a minute's walk to both the train and bus stations, which makes visiting any part of Israel straightforward, not mention cheap and more environmentally sustainable. Ben Gurion is 20 minutes away by train, making arrival and departure about as easy as can be imagined. To top it all off, the staff are friendly and accommodating. There are delightful sitting areas outside, too.

The building in Kikar Allenby/Allenby Circle was difficult to find at night. It would be helpful to have a sign outside.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Pretty good overall. - Nice and friendly in the morning but a bit tricky on arrival in the afternoon when tv not working and couldn't find the wifi password etc. But good value overall and amazing breakfast!
• Gyorgyi (4/5): - Old property not refurbished. Old furnitures, everything is old faschioned. Breakfast acceptable, but no meat products at all. Good cafe. Dirtiness needs to be mentioned as well, especially my bathroom was dirty. Staff I thought was very friendly initially, but when they ensured me 2x that they had arranged my shuttle during Shabbat, and they told me at departure from house that they didn't, letting me in big trouble how to catch my flight, it was strange that the business owner was shouting at me instead of me shouting at him ( which I did not do as it looked he would not arrange the horrible priced taxi either, so I was in a vulnerable position). All in one not a feeling I'm in Europe, however prices are 2x Europeans.

Das Frühstückbüffet stand minutenlang leer, das bedienende Personal konnte kein Englisch, so musste ich einfach warten, dass sie leere Servierteller und Flaschen merken und wieder ausfüllen. Zudem erhielt ich irreführende Hinweise, was das Mitnehmen vom Zimmerschlüssel angeht.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Photos don’t match listing - We booked the Allenby 2 thinking we were getting a nice place according to the pictures we saw in the listing. We arrived to an apartment that did not look like the pictures. The apartment was visibly dirty and in need of repairs. It was not comfortable and not worth the price paid. I would not recommend Allenby 2.

Check in took a while but worked well in the end, probably it was good that we had emailed about it before. The room was large and clean with a super large bed. Only the shower was a little bit broken but worked still well. The kitchen was only little equipped with almost no cutlery which did not bother us too much as we stayed only one night. As we left quite early in the morning unfortunately we missed the breakfast and were offered only to use the coffee machine in the early morning. The location is near to the central station and a few stops away from the old city with the light rail.

• Jennifer Lee (10/5): A home away from home - We stayed at Allenby2 for 3 nights. From the moment we stepped in the front door we we were welcomed and we felt at home. We had a gorgeous room with our own bathroom and 24 hour access to the kitchen nearby. Breakfast was supplied each morning and it was simple but ample. A large dining area and outdoor areas to sit as well. Very communal and located close to Central Bus station and the tram line which enabled us to go anywhere in Jerusalem and Israel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved this place and would happily return again to stay there.
• Verified traveler (10/5): バスターミナルからのアクセスの良さ - 立地が良いです。公共交通機関でのエルサレム出入りがしやすく、それだけで旅のストレスが減ります。ただ新市街なので、シャバトのときは歩くかタクシー（割高）になります。オーナーさんは細やかな方でいろいろ気遣ってくださるし相談にものってくれます。シャバトのときにも朝ごはんがありそれもよいです。朝ごはんはパン、コーンフレーク、フムス、サラダなど。コーヒー、紅茶、水は随時飲めます。部屋はシェアハウスの一室レベルですが清潔。クーラーもよくききます。トイレ、シャワーは共用ですがお湯もバッチリ出ますし、部屋ごとに使う場所が決まっており、特に不便は感じませんでした。

We were on the 3rd floor of a satellite room that was two light rail stops from the Breakfast place. One of the people who had a room at the 2 Allanby place has been staying there for about 4 weeks a year for 10 years now.

It was wonderful to step onto Jaffa Road and just shop and people-watch all the way to the sites. I passed the Post Office to send all my postcards, I found great food at the restaurants and plenty of super good food at the market to take with me to have light meals at the apt. Nir was super knowledgeable and helpful. He helped stay a little longer and get the train to the airport on time. It was really great. It was exactly what I expected and I will DEFINITELY stay there again!!!!

• A Pires de (8/5): Comfortable stay in Jerusalem - great breakfast! - The studio was very close to the market and had everything that you need to make dinner (in case you dont want to go out). Breakfast is really good! The only minus was the walk in the morning to the main allenby house for breakfast (12min on the street).

The area is full of restaurants, discount shops, and it is close to the bus station for convenience (but it is also safe). I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

If you arrive after 5-6 PM, you'll find a note with instructions and keys... maybe this way for everyone? I would definitely stay here again.

One is more central but completely improvised (a regular appartment with locks placed on room doors), the other is the old building that appears on photos, somewhat more distant, but you have to go there for breakfast (seriously, you need to go to a remote location in another part of the city).
• Verified traveler (6/5): Basic but communal - No staff around at check in, but keys and instructions were left for us. However, the directions included in our booking confirmation for free parking were out of date. This turned out to be a bit of a hassle and a waste of time. Parking is available near the main residence at 50 shekels/day, but you can't really come and go as you please. Street parking is possible from 7pm until 8am. Rooms are small. Basic breakfast is available for one and a half hours from 8-9:30. No daily housekeeping. Location is ok - 12 min walk to Mahane Yehuda market, 18 min by tram to the old city. Very basic no frills place. We were also overcharged slightly when we paid for our booking in local currency. Best part of the stay was the communal atmosphere and meeting other travelers.

• josie (10/5): jerusalem hotel - the location was great..right on the light rail line..the breakfast in the morning was also very nice and very good..the staff were amazing..very helpful and nice and pleasant.i would stay here again and totally recommend the hotel.
• Gary (10/5): - close to shopping, restaurants. Staff helpful, courteous. Court yard could be noisy if patrons decide to party late and sounds echo up throughout the building. This was just a minor issue, but could be important to some people.
• Julia (10/5): Staff make all the difference - Fantastic experience at Allenby 2. If you're looking for luxury, this might not be the best option for you, however Allenby 2 is a place to feel like home. You have all your amenities and welcoming and helpful staff which really made a big difference for us. The pricing is great, the breakfast is beautiful, and the position of the hotel is great to walk into the old city, an easy bus ride from Tel Aviv airport, and close to the light rail. We will definitely be returning to Allenby 2 on our next trip to Jerusalem.

• Jacob (10/5): Very nice B&B to stay at - Very comfortable and cozy B&B. Breakfasts are amazing - fresh salads and much more, all preoared on site. The shared bathroom is a bit too small but accepatble. Good A/C and working TV in the room. Staff super nice and helpful. Parking in the area is an issue as are the cats that sneak in every time the doir is left open. I highly recommend this place.
• Wendy (8/5): Close to public transport, staff nice & helpful - Breakfast is really good. Bog common area. The room and bathroom are small, but very clean. It's close to bus and train, 30 min taxi ride to the old city.
• my (8/5): Great staff, good location - Nitzan, one of the staffs, was awesome and tried to make us as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was beautiful with some local dishes. Small negative point was its cleanness: the floor was a bit dusty and the shower curtain smelled a bit when it got warm steam. Other than that, the room and the common area were clean.
• David (2/5): Avoid this one - The tiniest room known to man, electrics had a lot to be desired with amateur double plug connections everywhere. Bedding clean but general décor not good at all. Hard to find as its essentially house converted to bedsits. There was a breakfast included but it doesn't compensate for its failings. I couldn't get the WiFi to work and I am an IT person
• Nikki (4/5): Passover to zJerusalem . - The staff is great! But the rooms are very small, the breakfast was poor and for 8 days you had the same food day, after day, inside the house is nice but outside the building is a very poor, dirty run down neighhberhood .

• Raymond (10/5): Wonderful host - Thanks to the wonderful host, Nitsan, Allenby 2 was the very best accommodation of my entire trip. She was helpful, hospitable and pleasant. She really went the extra mile to give me travel guidance, to answer all my questions, and to respond to my many travel needs. You will find that she is like a daughter, or a sister or a mother. It genuinely felt like I was leaving family when I checked-out. The breakfast was splendid. The large common area afforded the perfect opportunities to mingle and compare notes with fellow travelers.
• chuanheng (10/5): A bed and breakfast that makes you feel at home - The owner is hospital and more than willing to accommodate to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Though the apartment studios we booked are new and with kitchenette, as we have problem in bringing our heavy luggage up, the owner decided to put us in a small unit in the old building for one night, and moved us to a bigger unit in the same building day after. Even though the building is 80 year old, there is no lack of facilities to make the room to be very comfortable to stay in. The breakfast is simple yet the veg. salad and fruit salad are delicious. The capsule coffee machine is provided and it is an attraction. The table setting induced interaction among the residents. With the small garden surrounding the building, it makes people feel at home.

• David (4/5): Hotel staff absent, bed uncomfortable - While I coordinated before hand what time I would be arriving no one was there and the cellphone numbers provided were disconnected. It took knocking on doors of neighbors to finally get access albeit a day late. The bed was on a slant and broken and as such made it difficult and painful to sleep. While we were told there would be breakfast - that too was absent. Staying here might be cheap but stay somewhere else or you will suffer.

• Pavel (10/5): Very nice homely hotel on a secluded square. - Have no words to describe the warm, and cordial atmosphere of the hotel. The owners do their best to make it feel like a cozy home. Breakfast is simple but COMPLETE, really in Yerushalmi spirit and just what you need to start a day. Do not forget to put some zaatar and olive oil on your hummus and tkhina to be really embraced by the city! You can also prepare anything from tea/coffee to meal in the kitchen assuming you store you food in the guests fridge properly and clean/wash after yourself. The first sight you have on the morning when you are out is a small lovely garden, pink warm Yerusalem stone of the walls and a light air promising you a joyful day. We had a late flight at the day of checkout but were arranged to rent the same room for reduced price with no need to worry. If you are OK with some normal peculiarities of Jerusalem winter (hot water in shower takes some time to come when you run it and will not last forever hot, if the air-mounted AC needs some repair, you need to use the floor electric heater), you will be really happy and retain the warmest memories.

The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of his way to make sure I had a good experience there. He gave great recommendations and advice, and even booked a fantastic tour for a group of us. He took care of all of the logistics in booking the tour. I recommend staying here if you want a convenient place for a very reasonable price.

I cannot review the breakfast, since I didn't get up in time. But I appreciated being served coffee anyways! Excellent location for me: close to International Congress Centre (where I was attending a professional conference), close to public transportation and generally central location.
• Dom (10/5): Friendly, quiet low-budget place - I stayed 4 nights and was very comfortable. Good breakfasts, and it was interesting meeting other guests around the breakfast table and hearing people's differing reasons to be in Jerusalem, and their varying experiences. Very different from impersonal hotels. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with logistical issues like finding plug-adapters and booking the airport shuttle bus.

• Verified traveler (8/5): You can be part of the family - Allenby 2 is the address of this bed & breakfast. You can be provided space in the refrigerator for personal food stuffs, but they provide a decent breakfast as part of the room fee. It seems that the price per night and the size of the room were normal for Israel. The staff are friendly, but you room is not serviced. You have to make your own bed & ask when you need clean towels and/or linens.
• alvaro (2/5): Allenby 2 hotel lies to the customers. - Bad service due to the didn't mention that the suits were located 10 blocks away from the hotel reported official address sending us to a regular family building. The hotel is liying to the customers by obtaining customers fraudulently and not telling us that we must walk 10-15 minutes to get the "free breakfast" This hotel must be removed from hotel.com

• Benjamin (10/5): Convenient location by bus station and tramway - There was very friendly vibe at the hotel. It is right on the tramway line and you can take it downtown very easily (or in the other direction to Yad Vashem). It is about 30 minutes by foot to downtown. It is also located right behind the main bus station, so it is a very convenient place to stay if you are also travelling to a place like Tel Aviv. I will definitely stay there again if I come back to Jerusalem.
• mark (8/5): Friendly place to stay in Jerusalem - I had to stay in Jerusalem a couple of days and by accident I found this hotel very close to central bus station and convenient to all Visiting sites in Jerusalem. It is was a family type facility with very friendly people.I found it very nice down to earth ; I would visit and stay again.
