- Irene (10/5): Heavenly ryokan on Japan’s Izu Peninsula - Amazing ryokan experience. Staff went over and above to cater to every need. The accommodation was comfortable sleeping on futons on tatami mats. The beautiful robes they provided made us feel at home. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. They even provided us bento boxes for lunch. View of the ocean outstanding and the hot springs wonderful. We’ll be back!

(6/5): - １月２日に宿泊したのに、12月31日と書いてあるお品書きを堂々と出していて驚きました。部屋のお風呂を使う人がほとんどいないのでしょうが、汚くて入る気がしませんでした。 湯上がり処に担当スタッフがいるのに、カウンターに使用済のグラスや食器が放置されお客が来ても知らんぷり。追加のトコロテンを持って来た同僚に「お客がめちゃくちゃ来た〜」ととても迷惑そうに言っていて不快でした。トコロテンを持って来たスタッフさんは「冷えたのをどうぞ」と勧めてくれて感じ良かったです。 夕刻に風呂に行くと、露天風呂が真っ暗で足元が危なくて入れませんでした。夜は電気が点いていたので、付け忘れだったようです。 セブ島出身のスタッフさんがホスピタリティがあって良かったです。 ロケーションは良いのに残念な宿でした。
- Nahoko (8/5): 全体的に満足、ただ夜中の停電に辟易。 - スタッフの丁寧な対応ときれいな言葉遣い、様々なサービス、清潔で行き届いたお部屋やインテリア、そして気持ちのいい温泉、と大変満足した滞在でした。お料理はもっと素材の味を生かしたシンプルなものでもいいかなと思いましたが、地元の素材をふんだんに使っている点は良かったです。ひとつだけ残念だったのは、夜中に突然大きな音が聞こえ始め、たぶん発電機の音だと思いますが、2~3時間続き、あまり眠れなかったことです。その間は電気もつかず、不便でした。朝になっても特別説明がなかったのですが、もし非常事態だったのなら、説明があっても良かったかと思います。

- Ryuhei (10/5): - 別館が新築された当初3年ぐらい、気に入っており家族で利用させて頂いておりました。当時、私は小学生から中学生ぐらいの年齢で兄弟が思春期に入り家族旅行をしなくなった結果、足が遠のいていたのですが、サービスも料理も最高級のものだったと認識しています。今回利用させて頂くにあたって、当時はあったと記憶しているブイヤベースがなくなっているのは残念に思っていたのですが、料理やサービスのクオリティも依然として高く感動しました。鉄板焼きのコースを利用させていただきましたが、伊勢海老や地元の海鮮、サーロイン・フィレ(今回はジビエとして鹿肉)など一手に堪能でき、値段値すると思います。別料金で繫忙期はお時間を頂くこともあるみたいですが、カフェ・ディアブルなども美味しいですし、パフォーマンスとしても面白いと思います。今後も伊豆に行く機会があれば是非利用させて頂きたいと思います。

- Maribel (10/5): - Pros: - Shuttle bus will pick you up at the train station and also take you to sister property - The staff is amazing, they go above and beyond for you. - It's a ryokan - They have onsens - Gives you access to sister property - Breakfast and dinner were included - They gave you bento boxes for lunch - Delicious food at the Four Seasons restaurant - Fantastic spa (we got massages and they were awesome!) - They have yukatas for you to wear. - They cater to vegetarians. My husband eats anything, I'm a bit picky and told them I wanted a vegetarian meal. They were able to work with that and I had just a great a meal as my husband at the Four Seasons. - The staff does a turn down service for you where they will set up the beds while you're at dinner. And then put them away when you're eating breakfast. Cons: - Everything seemed to shut down from 11AM-2PM - no shuttle bus, no access to onsen, no food, not sure what you're supposed to do during that time. We ended up hanging out in our room. - They did have some staff members especially at the restaurant that speak English but it was very limited. What we concluded was we don't think a lot of non-Japanese tourist go to this hotel, which made it even more special for us. They were extremely accommodating and we would definitely go again!

- akiko (10/5): 眺めが良い部屋 - 窓から桜の花と海が見えてとてもきれいでした。また、食事前にデザート、コーヒー、ビールの無料サービスがありとても良かったです。ドリップ式のコーヒは夜まで飲め、違ったカップを選べたのも面白かったです。食事も目の前での鉄板焼きはいつもとは違った食事でよかったです。ひとつ気になったのはお風呂まで長い階段(女性は3階くらいまで）を昇って行かないといけない点で、これは年配の方にはちょっと大変そうでした。ただ、部屋のお風呂が温泉なので部屋風呂もたのしめます。

- Shin (10/5): 料理が美味しく、オススメのお宿です - 当日はあいにくの雨模様。 平日にも関わらず、大人気のお宿でした。 パンケーキがカフェレベルで、殆どのお客様が完食されていました。 夕食は、フレンチ懐石を選びました。 フレンチと言いつつ、和のテイストがふんだんに盛り込まれ、温かいものは温かく、地魚のお刺身も新鮮で、おろしたてのワサビで堪能しました。 ワインを選びましたが、日本酒でも良かったかも知れません。 給仕の方や、ソムリエのかた、どなたの接客態度も素晴らしく気持ち良かったです。 平日にも関わらず、レストランも満席状態。 給仕速度が遅いので、早飯の方はイライラされるかも知れませんね。 我々は、のんびりと楽しめましたが… お祝いで利用されている方が多く、くす玉や、ケーキなどで楽しそうな雰囲気のテーブルも多かったです。 小さなお子様連れも多く、夕食後のドルチェサービスを楽しんでおられました。 今度は露天風呂付きのお部屋で宿泊したいです。

- Verified traveler (6/5): 客室の古さが目立つ。 - 玄関ホール、レストラン等はリノベーションされていてとてもおしゃれでモダンです。しかし、その分余計に客室の古さが感じられました。海が見渡せるいいロケーションでしたが、雨だったからか露天の温泉も冷めていて寒く、楽しめませんでした。満月の晴れた日の月の道を見たかったです。つるや吉祥の貸切風呂を予約しましたが夜しか予約が取れず、真っ暗な海に面した露天は風と雨の音で怖かったです。わざわざシャトルバスに乗って行くこともなかったかも…。夕食のフレンチ懐石もおしゃれではありますが、刺身にパン…はやっぱり合わないし、なんとなくちぐはぐな印象です。スタッフの方は、親切で感じがよく、全体的におもてなし意識の高さは感じられましたが、お天気に恵まれなかったことも影響して、個人的には、今回の滞在はやはり全体的にまあまあの印象でした。
