The pool or the view from the pool Infiniti pool was amazing. We appreciated the staff member who took our pictures at the 360 which turned out really great. Hehehehe!(inside joke)! I wish there was a bit more lighting, specially around nighttime, and around the steps that you’re going through to the room. The gym is not off four star quality. It only had two old treadmill and weights only up to 10 KG. The room key kept getting demagnetized, but they said they’re working on upgrading the key card system.

• Vinit (9/5): The Thekkady Adventure - The hotel is located in a vast piece of land on a hill top with assets spread across downhill areas giving it a unique setting and a sense of adventure. The facilities can be accessed via frequently available golf-carts. The rooms are spacious with wide balconies and have all the amenities. The staff at reception, restaurants and housekeeping are very polite and helpful. Overall , we liked our stay at Poetree Thekkady very much. The food quality and items at both dinner and breakfast were not up to the mark and could be improved upon. Also, the drive up to the hotel entrance is via steep uphill roads which can be navigated only by an experienced car driver. Could be risky at times .

• Val (9/5): Very comfortable. Nice food. Excellent staff who helped us with outings. - Beautiful setting in the hills above Thekkady. Food was good with a large buffet selection plus a live cooking station. The hotel laid on extras like cookery demos, group games and evening walks to the local high point to watch the sun set. Staff were extremely helpful in booking outings. They also responded immediately when a light fixture broke. Overall a very pleasant 2 night stay

• Divya (10/5): Amazing - This is my second time here, and will definitely be back for another visit. The cottage view is amazing, rich flora around. Food is exceptional. They have a beautifully curated menu. I must mention the hospitality by the staff. You feel so welcomed and taken care of.

We were immediately captivated by the awesome, panoramic views from the property – a truly breathtaking sight that added magic to our entire stay. The dining experience was also a significant highlight. The food was consistently delicious, and we especially appreciated the impressive variety offered at both their breakfast and dinner buffets. A big thank you to the wonderful staff who made our stay even more special. We are particularly grateful to Mr. Suresh for capturing awesome photographs that will serve as lasting memories of our trip. His talent and friendly demeanor were truly appreciated. We also want to extend our thanks to the restaurant staff, especially Ms. Anuja, for being so incredibly friendly and engaging with our kids. • Kpm-guru (4/5): Disappointing - Disappointing Stay I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. Upon arrival, we discovered that the heater in our room wasn't working. After multiple calls, a technician came, but unfortunately, the heater still wasn't hot enough to be of any use. We then called housekeeping to clean the room and check the heater. The staff member walked in with dirty shoes, tracking mess throughout the room, and I ended up having to clean it myself. To make matters worse, my son became very ill during our stay. When I called reception to ask for a thermometer to check his temperature, I was shocked to learn that they didn’t have one available. For a hotel of this size, it's unbelievable that they don't even have basic medical supplies or facilities. We checked in late, around 6 PM, and left early the next morning at 9:30 AM, but the overall experience was so bad that we feel our money was not well spent. I would not recommend staying here, as it was far from the quality and service expected from a hotel of this caliber.

The restaurant was also very good , had a variety of food for breakfast and for dinner Buffett.We took an ayurvedic spa as well and it was also excellent. I will definitely recommend this place The road to the poetree is not good

• Jatin (10/5): Had An Amazing Stay!! - I had an amazing stay at Poetree! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive making sure every aspect of my visit was perfect. Their excellent service truly made me feel welcome and cared for esp. Jeet & Dipayan they both were very attentive & caring. Can't wait to return!! Everything was perfect nothing to change
• Joy (4/5): Disappointing - The infinity pool really was the highlight of the property with incredible views on on side, apart from that, I have to specifically mention how great the food was at the restaurant they had within the property. Upon arrival as I walked past the pool to my room I had to see an adolescent group play about in the pool in civilian attire even wearing headscarfs which was quite distasteful considering the reputation of the property. The WiFi was very much inconsistent and I had issues with it throughout my stay. The fan had limited function in the sense either it spun minimally or at high speed which I think was some issue with the fan speed regulator. The billing staff made gross errors in my paperwork, wherein they initially charged me something around Rs 35,000 for room rent when it was Rs 29,000 something inclusive of taxes which they later corrected after I reprimanded them. Furthermore, what was really shocking was that while I was going through the food bills I accrued over the 2 days I stayed there, I saw that they charged me Rs 300 for a paneer dish on one day and the next day they charge me Rs 350 which I think is just downright the management just being unprofessional and greedy. Road to and from the hotel was very rocky and is in poor condition.

Don’t book as you can hardly see the clouded mountains nor the forest as most of the units are shadowed by trees blocking the view Everything is twice as expensive as regular rates in kumili. Spa is worst. Getting an auto and food delivery from better restaurants is also a challenge. Better to stay near the city if you are planning outside activities with limited time to spend in resort
