Guest Reviews
- Jerrica (2/5): - We weren't even allowed to check in. We made reservations through Cheaptickets and when we arrived they said that they were having computer problems and couldn't check is in. We had two really sick people and needed to rest. Nothing like feeling turned away at the Inn.
- Donald (2/5): - Front lobby not open all night and key issues trouble getting resolved
- Q7070EQjeanr (10/5): Awsome place - I think some people are just snobby!! My friends and I stayed there last month and it was awsome. The rooms were very clean, the linens were clean and the beds were comfortable. Yes they have a cable from the TV but you get plenty of channels. And they were very nice as to explain that they are waiting for the owners to put cable in soon. Plenty of towels, and all the amenities. And for the price, and helpful and prompt staff. Val-u-inn is where you want to go. So for all you snobby complaining people, it isn't the hilton, and the hilton doesn't treat you like family. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you val-u-inn.
- Dominick (2/5): - Very rundown hotel. Pool out of service. No internet. Loud guests. Old fixtures. No noise insulation. Seems like a place likely to close down.
- Charles (2/5): - They didn't honor my paid reservation saying that Expedia had cancelled all reservations (and not told those of us holding said reservations, which means that the motel itself should have let us know ahead of time, as they apparently knew already) for that night (which was the night before the annular eclipse) and made me pay $106 to have a room that night, which is reprehensible in the extreme. Sure, the lady at the front desk (Sherry) was otherwise nice and attentive to guests' needs, but I don't believe her story. No proof offered. However, if I want a room that night in town, her offer is likely the best offer, so I have to take it, not question it and not get upset with her. It's too bad, I have stayed there before and like the location. But taking undue advantage of guests who have already paid is disingenuous and Travelocity should consider NOT having this place on their website as a result. Yes, I did have another problem, which they took care of enough to my satisfaction, so it wasn't all bad. And they gave me a newly renovated room (good job there) which they hadn't planned on filling that night apparently, but it stings to have had to pay again for a room for which I had already prepaid months before. And while Sherry offered the next customer a miliary discount, she had not even discussed any possible discounts (military, AAA, AARP, etc.) with me and just took my extra money. I feel had and it helped to ruin a once in a lifetime experience. Let the buyer beware.
- dedwards1969 (2/5): Nasty - First off, I almost didn't get a room. I walked in to check in and they looked at me as if I was lost, referred me to another hotel that was probably where my reservation was. I confirmed the address, and I was in the right place. I went to get my reservation from my car and sure enough, I was in their system. It seemed as if they were overbooked and cancelled all their reservations about a month back. They said I would have to get a refund from Expedia, well I booked through AAA. All in all, they gave me a room. This room was the worst I have ever seen, and I am not super particular. There was no cable/satellite, just a coax cable hanging over a mirror with a copper wire hanging out of it. The remote had been chewed by something, I assume a dog as this place is pet friendly. There were cigarette burns on my comforter and bleach stains (I hope). I noticed blood droplets on the carpet. The room smelled of cologne. I did check for bedbugs and that was about all it had going for it (as I didn't find any evidence). Now, I realize that this may not have been a room they were looking to release as they didn't even realize I was coming. This was the weekend of the eclipse and the entire town was booked out, or I probably would have tried another hotel. In their defense, the staff was really nice. They sent a guy out to fix the tv reception, and he was there promptly and a nice man. The front desk staff, while seemingly frustrated that my reservation had not been cancelled, was very nice.
- christopherrW7098KN (2/5): Quality equals price - Bed sheet was stained, only one bath towel, and cigarette burns in coverlet. Very noisy. Room felt a bit dirty. Hotel is currently undergoing renovation. They are catering to long term stays and signs with rules are everywhere. Staff is very friendly and tries to be helpful. $50 security deposit charged a checkin and rebated in the morning when you check out.
- montanan_traveler (6/5): Not Fancy But It Was Cheap - The biggest plus was the price and you rating of the property. I cannot support that rating. They are in the process of renovating and boy does it need it. The carpet has paint all along the edges. The pillows made us go get ours out of the car. The TV had an antenna leading to a paperclip. Only two channels even tried to come in but they wouldn't last enough to watch. The mattress was comfortable and we slept well so for the price I guess it was okay.
- musicstoguy (2/5): Rip-off outfit, avoid like the plague. - I made a reservation a month in advance that was "non-refundable". Unbeknownst to me was that the property was under renovation. Upon arrival the room assigned to me was not ready for occupancy and without other options, we had to go elsewhere. The management refuses to issue a credit to my account under the guise that it was sold as "non-refundable". Complete scam. Bait and switch. Absolute dump. They make a living selling weekly and monthly rates to transients if that will tell you anything. Too many other options in Winnemucca. Avoid this place like Covid19.
- Bernard (4/5): - The staff at the motel libby had a dig with them that barked. The staff apt visible with dirty sheets, two liquor bottles on the counter. I was not shown how to get to my room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Trashy; Not as advertised; DO not stay here - Not as advertised; No cable or SAT service; no remote control; cigarette burned hole on the bed spread; fire alarms went off at night and also in the morning 3 times;
No ice;
- Molly (2/5): Don’t - No mattress pad until I asked just the sheet and plastic. No television no phone or way to contact the front desk easily.
If they have remodeled, it’s not apparent. Broken furniture worn and dirty carpet and sofa.
- Jeff (8/5): - Queit.
- Lisa (4/5): Won't stay again - Hallways smelled of animal urine and cigarettes. No toilet paper, had to go get it. Not enough plugs by the beds for phones or medical devices. Rooms are not clearly marked. Receptionist was making appointments holding up check out. No truck trailer parking.
- Aaron (4/5): Run down and dirty. But cheap - The room was terrible. I got a non smoking room but I guess that doesn’t matter. Someone had a trash bag covering the smoke alarm and must have lived there for a bit just to chain smoke. The shower was full of black hair still and once I got ready for bed I pulled the sheets back and there was a bunch of black hair in there as well. So that’s my sign that they don’t change the sheets between guests or clean the shower. So I just turned the heat up a little and slept on top of the covers. The room did what it was supposed to and I was able to move on with my trip.
- carlos (2/5): Not too clean - We didn’t like how dirty it was
- Verified traveler (2/5): Crap stay. - What kind of a hotel wasted money on chairs that convey an impression that it's a workable desk and when the guest shows up discovers the table is too high for a lap top and there is no access to an electrical plug in the wall requiring an extension cord?
To add insult to injury leaving a guest feeling ripped off, they have the gall to state the hotel is newly renovated.
On top of that the TV didn't work.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Within walking distance to casinos and restaurants. Rooms were for the most part clean. Left early the 2nd night i booked. Had my kids with me and the place just full of pot smoke. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But being an addiction mentor and counselor it was very concerning the whole staff was on meth. Very obvious. And staff was smoking pot in room behind front desk when checking out. I guess last min. Booking at that price is what i get. U get what u pay for
- Khalida (10/5): - My wife forgot her iPad in the room and she drove a long distance then she came back they let her go to the room and she got her iPad back
Thank you for being safe and honest and integrity
Bless you
- Susana (6/5): An ok stay. - Part of the hotel was getting redone. So, there was stuff in the hallway on our floor. The room was dusty, there was hair in the tub, and something sticky on the toilet lid. It was kinda gross. The beds were fine, the ac worked..
- Verified traveler (10/5): - everything
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed and furniture was good. But TV would not work and we did everything the front desk told us to do, and wifi never worked -router out of range. Toilet not set to floor. Would not use this inn again.
- Catherine (4/5): - Dirty place
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't book here - When I arrived with a reservation, they didn't have a room. Another guy was there with the same issue. They said they didn't know how it happened, didn't offer help or a refund, and acted offended that we were upset. Eventually they gave me the room of someone who hadn't arrived yet, but said "Let me know if there's someone in there—sometimes people climb in through the window." Chaos joint.
- Rosalie (10/5): - It was a very nice stay. They where putting ing a new boiler so had to take a cold shower but it was all great! I realy liked it and will be planning to come back as long as I'm working close by. The young owner even reminds me of my kiddos (that's a good thing not bad). It was very nice 🤗🤗👍👍
- Natureboy54 (4/5): Dumpy and worn out - I can''t believe it got so many 5 star reviews. The place has not been kept up. Carpets worn and stained, side entry door from parking lot has crumbling door mat and concrete, parking lot is about 10 years past a resurfacing, room windows dirty (moisture stains inside double panes), pool area covered with big dirty tarp. Reservation said bottled water was available but none in room. I had to ask for it and they acted like it was a huge favor to get me a bottle of Costco water. For a few dollars more there were other much more up to date places to stay in Winnemucca.
- 53staceyt (10/5): Great visit - Very friendly and the rooms are very nice for such a low rate! A nice surprise for 9:00 on a Friday night! The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Don’t know if we will be back this way again but if we do we’ll stay again!
- 702Gloria (10/5): Very clean and helpful management - This establishment is under new management. The place is very clean and the management is very helpful.
I can’t believe that I will find people like Sam that will really get into details and help people like me.
I am very thankful for the overall reception and assistance.
May your new acquired business grow and prosper.

- PS1NGH (10/5): 10/10 would come again - Newly renovated and under new management. It was a comfortable stay and no complaints from my end. I needed a quick spot to stay as I was passing through and took the chance here. It did the job and I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely would stay here again and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay.
Side note- Winnemucca is bustling. Seemed like the biggest little city in the world from where I stood.
- Grewalkaran1995 (10/5): Highly recommended - Amazing customer service, fast and easy check in. Very spacious tidy rooms with brand new furniture. The room had all the amenities we were looking for. Great experience for such amazing price. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
- 272johnnyp (10/5): Great Value aka Val-u - A pleasant stay in this budget motel. A clean, comfortable kingsize bedroom with plenty of space, good bathroom, fridge, microwave, loads of power points for charging, desk with chairs, hanging space & hair dryer. Everything we needed plus good parking right outside. Location is town centre “downtown”, as the locals would say, opposite the big casino & near plenty of diners. Good motel. Very friendly staff. Good wifi! Happy to recommend!
- 244jaspritk (10/5): Loved it - Nicely updated, comfortable beds, spacious and clean rooms!! Loved that fact they are non-smoking! Amazing service - Sam really helped us with our booking options once we got there and was very attentive and helpful
