Unfortunately everything smacks of penny pinching. The very clear list of what they will charge you for any item damaged is off putting especially when the bedspread has a hole in it. Only one access card so you come back to a stinking hot room every time. Threadbare towels. Had to ask for water despite the instructions saying two bottle works be provided each day. And the wifi is very unstable. Not worth saying wifi is provided free because it's unusable.

- Chai Lee (1/5): Ruin my day - Nope Complaint Regarding Check-in Experience at Swiss Hotel Heritage Boutique Melaka Dear Management of Swiss Hotel Heritage Boutique Melaka, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Upon arrival yesterday, we already noticed some unusual situations while queuing for check-in, as there were several guests raising concerns. At that point, we assumed the issues were isolated and proceeded with our check-in as usual. However, after completing the check-in process and heading to Room 312, we discovered that the room had not been serviced and was not ready for occupancy. We waited approximately 15 minutes outside the room, only to find that the air conditioning was also not functioning. We then returned to the front desk, where we observed that other guests were also lodging similar complaints about their rooms. This clearly indicates a broader issue with room readiness and management. This experience has caused significant inconvenience and dissatisfaction during our stay. We sincerely hope that the hotel management will take this feedback seriously and improve operational efficiency and service quality to prevent similar situations in the future. In last we decided to refund through booking.com but unfortunately we unable to get refund and were booking another hotel for our stay.

- S M.S (7/5): Swiss Hotel Melaka - Location, just few minutes walk from Jonker Street and shops Our 2nd time staying at this hotel. This time around, we booked a different room for family of 5. Room 323 spacious and exactly like pictures shown. Front desk team were friendly and polite. There's few parts that did not meet our expectations (note 3rd floors still undergoing renovation/upgrading): 1) Lower bathroom water drainage a bit blocked, slow and wet the floors. There's strong urine smell upon check-in, we had to keep spraying fragrances to minimise the awful smell. Fresh towels with minor spots/stains. 2) Upper toilet light a bit dim and no ventilation fan 3) Both upper and lower toilet doesn't have hot water running. 4) Unit smells a bit musky/humid when check-in. Improve after few hours. 5) Floor parquet near balcony uneven, dangerous and may cut feet if not careful as no indoor slippers provided (good thing we always brought our own) 6) Noise from the street and upgrading works starts around 8am+ Overall, it was still a good stay and we will still choose this hotel for our next visit. - Victor Tey (1/5): Great location that accompanies great disappointments - The hotel is in a convenient location with available parking, and the room layout had the potential for a great stay. It featured a nice balcony and a two-story loft design with an attractive winding staircase. While the bed and pillows themselves were comfortable enough, any enjoyment was completely negated by the hygiene issues (mentioned below) and the fact that the loft lighting didn't even work. It is a shame to see a room with such good bones be so poorly maintained. My stay was incredibly disappointing due to a total lack of management and basic maintenance. Despite being advertised, there was zero daily housekeeping. We returned on the second day to unmade beds, full trash cans, and unreplenished amenities. To make matters worse, our key cards failed and required a trip to reception to be reset. Room Hygiene & Safety: The cleanliness was unacceptable. The towels and pillowcases had a distinct, unpleasant odor, and the bedsheets had hair on them before we even used them. The hairdryer provided is a genuine safety hazard (see photos). Additionally, the TV is extremely dated, and broken. The Water Heater Issue: The most frustrating part was the lack of hot water. On Day 1, maintenance simply run the tap for 10 minutes just to get lukewarm water. By Day 2, we ran the water for over 30 minutes with zero warmth—a massive waste of water and a total failure of service. When I messaged the hotel via WhatsApp for help, they didn't bother responding until the following morning, only to say the heating system wasn't central. No solution was offered. The Facilities: The "bidet" is just a basic hose, shower head holder is loose, the sink in the loft toilet leaks, the loft lighting was broken, and the fridge only works if you are in the room with the key card inserted, meaning nothing stays cold while you are out.
- Dave (4/5): Tired and run down, saving grace was friendly staff - Great location and friendly staff Honestly there is a distinct difference between "boutique heritage" and feeling "run down and old", and this place sadly crossed that line. We enjoyed meeting the manager, and the staff were friendly, but it literally took 45mins for the hot water to run hot, and everything about the ŕoom, felt tired old and unfashionable. We booked for one night, thinking we may extend, but moved and found somewhere 10 times as good at a slightly cheaper price. Miision brown painted veenered builtin's and mission brown painted aluminium windows does not equal heritage

- Terry (10/5): Friendly staff.. - Never been to Melaka before. So a bit daunting. But staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful. Lift worked great Nothing really . Oldie,worldie place .. doors locked at midnight, but just knock on front ,and someone will let you in ..building work going on at back of hotel. Not hotels fault. They don't usually start till 8 30pm

If parking available in the limited spaces available it was too tight and car easily got scratched by other careless drivers. Lack of breakfast amenities in hotel making it incomplete experience. Bathrooms could be upgraded with cleaner and more functional quality

The room is dirty , same like no clean and the bed didn’t have use sheet and the pillow dirty. Trash did’t provide plastic bag,bathroom didn’t provide towel. Didn’t recommend for other people.
