The location is perfect as well, conveniently situated with no more than a 20-minute drive to any part of the island. Christine (9/5): Quiet, quaint, local property with excellent host! - This is a small, local, unique property. Good location if you don't need to be where the action is. In close proximity to a couple of higher end hotels with great bars and restaurants. Edwige runs the property and delivers excellent, personal service. If you want quiet, quaint and affordable with all the basic amenities that provide for a pleasant stay, this hotel does just fine. If you are looking for five-star luxury, this is not the hotel for you. Book your taxi in advance if you need to travel to other areas of the island.
Tom (10/5): - We loved our stay at Hotel Villa Lodge 4 epices! The property is small and quiet with a beautiful view of Grand-Cul-de-Sac. It's walking distance to the Rosewood and several other hotels making it convenient to enjoy their restaurants and beaches. Our room was large and comfortable with a convenient little kitchen and a large patio with hot tub and chaise lounge. Edwina the property manager took excellent care of us and we could not appreciate her more! Hope to return again soon.

Ed (10/5): Breathtaking Sunrises and Perfect Location - We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights and mornings at the Lodge. We arose to a breathtaking sunrise view every morning from our bedroom. Each morning Edwige prepared a delicious breakfast by the pool with stunning views in the background. Our Villa was spacious, clean, full of light and equipped with everything necessary to make our stay a wonderful experience. The close proximity of one block to the spectacular beaches and several five star restaurants as well as the delicious sushi restaurant on the premises provided convenience and numerous options for activities and meals. Edwige was an excellent host who helped us plan an incredible stay in St Barth. We will definitely return and stay at the Lodge again based on our amazing experience there.

Piotr (10/5): This is fantastic place I recommend to everybody - Edwige ( representative from the hotel ) met me in the ferry station in Gustavia when i arrived from St Martin and drive me to the hotel. It was very very nice. Hotel is very very comfortable with the amazing view. The rooms are very nice decorated, big balconies even with Jacuzzi , Also safe place to park my car. The breakfast is fantastic ! I am really lucky ! so I am really really lucky. I like everything here !

Daphney (2/5): - 0/10 DO NOT RECCOMEND . STAY AWAY. so I’m sure you guys are wondering why I haven’t even given this place 1 STAR . Well it’s simply because I have NOTHING nice to say . The best part of this trip happened before I met this lady (I believe her name is Hyacinthe) . As soon as we got off the ferry from Saint Maarten and she noticed we weren’t her kind, her whole demeanor changed . I walked up to her very excited when she was holding the sign of the villa we booked and she immediately lowered her head and began to text. No hello, no welcome, no smile. From there, the whole energy was off. We got into the car and it was an awkwardly silent 25 minute car ride . When we got to the reception, she made a call asking how much she should charge for the extra person, literally making up a random price. She said $100 a night and I asked her what does that include & She said it’s for an extra towel and extra bottle of water. So After we respectfully declined paying $400 more for an extra bottle of water and another towel, she became very loud and obnoxious and said AND I QUOTE “I don’t like you Americans, Why did you come here if you don’t want to be cheap, this is Saint Barths. Go to Saint Maarten if you want to be cheap.” At this point, we didn’t even know what to say, we couldn’t believe we were actually experiencing racism within 10 minutes of being in another country . Shortly after, I informed her if she’s not okay with 3 people in a room then we are willing to accept a refund so

Hyacinth was so kind and helpful throughout our stay, getting us reservations at recommended lunch and dinner spots, and even driving us to the airport once we checked out. The location is perfect, beautiful view, and each room was big, comfortable, lovely decorations, and had a hot tub on the balcony. The pool was great, and a sushi restaurant is part of the property. Hyacinthe was so gracious to bring breakfast to our room each morning and when we needed help with covid testing, she gave us exact directions and also printed our results for us. She is amazing! Small family owned property! Love supporting local small businesses.

Donald (10/5): Chic & Welcoming Hidden Gem - Invited to St. Barth’s for good friends’ wedding festivities, I had no idea where to stay as a first time visitor of the island. Hotel Villa Lodge 4 épices was on my radar from Day 1 and happened to be near the weekend friend festivities so I booked as soon as flight arranged, since there are only five rooms. My friend and I loved it immediately: the decor, the view!!, big room(s), and Hyacinthe - owner/hostess extraordinaire. Hyacinthe arranged for rental car to be delivered to hotel since all close by 6pm (after ferry arrival); she also picked us up from ferry and was always on site to give recommendations, a lil history of the island or for a casual chat at breakfast. In fact, everyone we met on site was genuinely friendly from housekeepers to amazing Jessica at the delicious Yo Sushi Mania restaurant by the pool. On a whim, I picked the best, chill, friendly, beautiful place on the island and can only imagine those five rooms becoming more difficult to secure! Definite return destination!

Air conditioning was adequate. Very small mini-fridge/bottle cooler. Free wi-fi was fast. Free continental breakfast with delicious real croissants. Pool. Friendly, helpful bilingual staff. Reasonably priced for the island. Not much to do in the immediate neighborhood, but St. Barths is small so it doesn't take long to get anywhere.

This isnt a hige hotel, it has more of a small mom pop shop type of feel- makes it very personable. The staff is amazing- since its only a 4 suite site, they know all the guests, know everyone's itinerary and can help make reservations. If your looking for privacy and a home like feel this is a great place. If you are looking for spa amenities then you should book at a major resort. This is definitely for thise who are looking for a luxury home feel away from home. Its. Short walk to the grand cul de sac lagoon, where a ton of water sports are available, but its not exactly the clearest water on the island. If your staying on the island for morw than a night- you should consider renting a car to get around, as youll need a car to get anywhere else besides the grand cul de sac lagoon.
