Guest Reviews
- Tammy (2/5): Never Again. - Relax inn is no place to relax. The beds were like a torture device. Housekeeping would knock over and over even after we said that we didn't need service ,she would stick her head in and look around like a giraffe. The curtains looked like they had been in a slasher movie. The carpet and room smelled like the toilet overflows and they never clean it up .The sign outside said new management. I would have hate no see the old. I can't imagine worse. Unless they also worked at The Bates motel.
- Kimberly (8/5): Nothing Fancy, just CLEAN and QUITE - Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was very friendly. Place is nothing fancy, but it was clean and quite.
- JACK (8/5): Big room and excellent location!!! - It had some nice upgrades recently which was nice and the size of the room was very nice!!! Excellent location and very convenient!!!
- Shelly-Ann (2/5): - 123
- Sandra (8/5): - Didn't like no ice machine to rooms needed fix up things looked un professional
- Celena (10/5): College mom - I was there taking my son to Tusculum University just stayed for two days. It was somewhere to sleep. It wasn’t bad the front desk receptionist. She was very sweet and helpful. Told me about some restaurants in the local area.
- Greg (6/5): - I liked that the room has been partially remodeled. The fluorescent light above the sink only works intermittently.
- Susan (8/5): We enjoyed our stay - We stayed here for 3 nights. When we arrived the office was locked, but someone came quickly and let us in. We had reserved this room well in advance, probably over a month prior to our arrival. At that time we had requested a ground for a room, as we have a service dog who needs to be taken out periodically, and we didn't want to navigate the stairs every time. We had no choice but to settle on the upstairs room. The room was clean, the towels had the nicest scent to them. The room was a little outdated, but everything function as it should. There was a microwave , coffee maker and a small refrigerator in the room.
My husband noticed the stain on his sheets and requested that they be changed. The housekeeper came right up right away and changed the sheets for him. Overall this was a good place for us to stay. This hotel could be exceptional with a few upgrades. They also should pressure wash the sidewalks , stairs and balconies to freshen them up.
- Hayden (2/5): - This hotel is disgusting. I was promised a non smoking room and walked in to find burns on the comforter. I knew it wouldn’t be great - but it was beyond bad. The employee behind the desk admitted that it likely comes through the floors from other rooms. Avoid at all costs
- Joe and Diane (8/5): - Prices are great
- Debra (10/5): - It's a good place to stay rooms we're cleaned and nice
- Layonda (2/5): Dirty bathroom - Bathroom was nasty no iron
TV didn’t work
But you pay for what you get
- ISMAEL (10/5): - Muy buena
- Peggy (2/5): - It was an absolute disaster when we walked in the room. We went back down stairs to get a refund and leave they refused to give a refund. Don’t recommend staying there!
- William (2/5): - First You have to stand outside in the open ..even if it's raining to get checked in if the office is closed..for how long is up in the air.. 30 min waiting for someone to come to the window is not unusual .second you will be charged a cash deposite. Third you are not allowed visitors in your room..there is also a curfew ..please don't do it...
- Ladarious (2/5): - Lady at the front desk was fairly rude and disrespectful, her husband was very nice and got me checked in and checked out. Will only stay again if the husband is at the front desk
- Joseph (4/5): - Trouble communicating at check in. Room reserved was not available. Cash deposit was required at check-in????
Room was musty smelling and not in very good overall shape. Just a basic place to rest and shower. Will not stay there again.
- Gene (8/5): - Nice and clean! Friendly staff
- Philip (8/5): - Easy check-in. Lady at desk was very polite. Room was clean. Needs a little updating but comfortable. Soap/shampoo was chintzy but I guess I could have asked for more.
I would stay here again.
- William (2/5): - Room was dirty. Curtains were hanging off the windows. Lock was broken. Bedspreads were stained. Just general bad place
- Kevin (10/5): - Friendly people.
- Alexander (2/5): Never stay here - Had strange people walking outside our room all hours of the nite looking bug eyed and strange. Also our ceiling had spats that was chipping away in big chunks
- Deb (8/5): - It is in walking distance of everything you need, from grocery shopping to dining. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am working in the are and am staying here another week or until the project is completed.
- Denise (10/5): Great value when you're passing through town - Knights Inn is a solid and safe choice if you're just passing through and need a night to stay. Many food options are nearby. The room is quiet until the next door car dealership opens and pipes announcements on the loudspeaker.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The man behind the counter was obviously inconvenienced by having to check us in. He did not speak to me other than "sign here" no matyer how friendly I tried to be.
The room was extremely dirty and most things in it were broken. There were not enough pillows on each bed to even accomodate 2 sleepers per bed. Also only 1 towel and wash cloth were in the room. When I went to get more, it was another inconvenience for the man.
Overall a very bad experience. More care should be taken in the hotel and staff to be proud of your hotel even if it is not a 5 star hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property was clean and spacious. Good value for the money.
- Pablo (2/5): - Truck stop Inn Don't go there ever ever ever never
It is terrible
- Verified traveler (6/5): Meh - Friendly service but a little pushy in check out. Calling room at 10:00 to see if we are checking out
- David (10/5): Visiting friends 👭 - We had a good night
- CAROL (8/5): - No breakfast
- Christina (2/5): Unclean and Uneasy - Miserable. Didn't even stay the night! My friend and I were on a girls' trip with our children (2 mos, 3 yrs, and 10 yrs).
We arrived around 10pm and checked in. We got the girls situated in the room, and less than 5 minutes later I ran back down to get our bags and there were two sketchy women trying my car doors. So I moved my car to the other side of the building and two men drove by several times and parked nearby and proceeded to walk back and forth the parking lot, loitering, until I felt so uneasy I went back up to the room.
Meanwhile, my friend was disgusted with the lack of cleanliness, from stained bedding to bugs in the bathroom.
Needless to say, we were there less than an hour before we packed the car back up, checked out at the front desk, and left!
Be warned!
- April (4/5): Don't stay there - Nasty dirty socks in room froze ice in fridge. Give you what they want you to have not what you ask for
- Kevin (6/5): Going downhill - We've stayed at this motel several times and have noticed a need for repairs and/or maintenance but this time our room was really needing attention. There were water stains on the ceiling near an outer wall indicating a leak from outside. Wallpaper was starting to peel off the wall in a couple of places. The exhaust fan in the bathroom barely turned so couldn't function and the housing was filthy inside with an appearance of mold in it. There were 2 microwaves in our room because 1 didn't work. Why leave it there? The arms on one of the fabric covered easy chair in the room felt somewhat sticky, definitely needing a good cleaning.
- Azhar (10/5): Good place to stay. - Location was very good, customer service was excellent.
Breakfast was promised by the booking site, at hotel it was refused and told we do not provide breakfast since 5 years.
rooms are very spacious.
- Alan (6/5): Out of the way - It was a port in the storm. It was 17 miles off our main route and had we not booked on line we would have canceled in lieu of one closer to our route. It was quite and clean and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and professional. Hotel room was clean and neat. Fridge and tv were new.
Hotel is older, yet well maintained.
- Gary (8/5): - Right price and location for our one night stay. As expected
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Trash found behind the tv, in the chair, sheets smelled unclean. Mold around air vents. No hot water in the sink. Walls seemed to be paper thin. Could not rest due to noise.
- doug (6/5): Clean and comfy - They did not have”breakfast “ as it states on Hotels.com. Older motel needs remodeled but clean and large room. Mattress comfy but for plastic which made it hot. I would stay here again.
- Kevin (10/5): Another good stay - We've stayed here several times and will continue to do so when we come to Greeneville. We like the large room and cleanliness. Even though it may be a bit dated, it's a comfortable and very affordable place to stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good deal - Good hotel with a low price. Quiet, large rooms, great place for our dogs to walk too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Jacuzzi tub was what I was looking for. Breakfast was not very much, but I came to get in Jacuzzi tub and sleep.
- Sarah (8/5): Overall would recommend - Nice rooms and nice staff the only thing I dont like are the beds they are rock hard and uncomfortable
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was clean and people were friendly and it was close to restaurants and Walmart. The down side was the hotel needs major updating.
- Timothy (6/5): Right price - As expected for the price. Nice beds. A bit noisey since it's near the highway but only til about 10. Only complaint was they need bigger towels. But good stay especially for the price.
- Randy (2/5): - I have stayed here alot but this is the first time I was disappointed it was cold in the room and I couldn't get a shower or shave very disappointed
- Tom (4/5): Outdated and disappointed - Room accommodations were outdated but relatively clean. The bed was like sleeping on springs. I have had better experiences with hotels at half the cost.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rude Operator - The hotel owner/operator was rude and double charged me for the room. In addition, he tried to deny service dog entry to the hotel.
- Tammy (8/5): Nice room - The rooms where nicer and clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Needs more pillows (3 for a king size bed is not enough), needs better pillows (the ones we had were “broken in”), needs an updated hair dryer from this millennium.
- Wyndi (6/5): Local hotel, newly updated - Local hotel, newly updated. No frills, no breakfast, but clean. Request to stay on the back side of hotel, its exterior entry and you can hear road traffic. Though there is not a lot after about 10pm.
- Kevin (6/5): Gone downhill! - We've stayed here twice before and know not to expect luxury but at least it's always been clean before; not this time! The former bathroom exhaust vent was disgustingly loaded with dirt (only a light in the hole, no working fan or vent cover), there was mysterious stains that looked like blood spatter on the wall by the vanity, along with other stains on one of the lampshades, and even an obvious spot that also looked like blood on the bedspread, but turned out to be food debris that mostly scraped off.
- Diane (4/5): - Moldy shower curtain, broken chair, 3 tiny pillows for a king size bed. Wasn't impressed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - great desk help
- JACK (10/5): Nice big room and great location! - Nice big room and comfortable bed. Plenty of places close by to motel. Great location!
- Tracy (8/5): Fairly ok - Being that the hotel is at least 30 yrs old, its in pretty good shape. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean...surprisingly. It is VERY dated. The tiny old woman who checked me in was awesome!! Worth the $50 a night.
- Mary (6/5): You get what you pay for... - it was fine, it was clean and we'll maintained. No frills..
- Joshua Foulks (4/5): - great. except for the loud drunks about 6 doors down being a disturbance at 2AM
- Verified traveler (6/5): older hotel but clean - It was okay for the 2 days I was there the building is very old, but they try to keep it clean as they can. Could use some better pillows and mattresses, not all that comfortable. But I have to stick to what I always say you get what you pay for, so for the price it was okay
- Jeff (2/5): Used to be a nice place - My family and I have used this hotel periodically for about 3 years. In that time, it's quality has deteriorated. The room smelled moldy and there was visual evidence of mold in the bathroom.. The hotel's response was to spray perfume randomly around the room. We bought our own odor control products.
The hotel is way overdue for redecorating. The furniture is outdated and not comfortable and, as I mentioned, there was evidence of mold in the bathroom.
- Valerie (4/5): Not worth the money - Very slow service
Very old hotel
Very unpleasant smell
- Verified traveler (8/5): TV remote - TV remote did not work and no one was in office. I had to use a phone on the outside of office to call and let them know the TV remote did not work. Then I had to wait for someone to come to fix it. I was not a happy camper.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ok hotel. Toilet was about to need repair/replaced
- Verified traveler (6/5): Visit - Relatively clean and relatively new carpets but a bit stale smelling. Hair dryer was outdated. Walls in bathroom showed signs of excessive moisture. Staff was friendly. We had a large party needing 4 rooms and one of the original rooms smelled of smoke so they changed the room for us.
- Karen (4/5): Definitely would not stay here again! - The room had BED BUGS!
- George (4/5): - Smoky smelling room
- Jerry (6/5): Convenient but needs repairs. - The room was comfortable but dated. The room entrance was from the outside and our room had road noise. There was a coffee maker in the room. The bathroom vent was exposed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): good for the price - I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this motel was. It is a motel not hotel. Don't expect breakfast, a fancy lobby or a pool. But the room was large, impeccably clean and comfortable. It looked like the carpet was new and the bathroom looks like it was recently redone. Good Wi-Fi as well. If your looking for a nice place to stay for the night without any amenities, this is the place.
- Johnnie (6/5): Satisfied Vol fan - Stay here to attend the Battle at Bristol. Room and bathroom was clean. Tv only had one channel, but didn't stay to watch Tv. They allowed us to check in a hour early. Very friendly, but old school. Wasn't a problem. Would stay here again. Fast food to eat nearby.
- Nancy (8/5): GREAT DEAL FOR THE MONEY - I didn't expect the Hilton, but was very pleasantly surprised for the money. Extremely clean, apparently updated recently with new carpet, etc. Room spacious. Mattresses comfortable. It did have a "dinosaur" of a hair dryer; one like I hadn't seen in 20 years, but it worked and that's all I cared about!! Clean inside and outside. Got ground floor room like I requested. Plenty of shopping and restaurants close. Will stay again if in the area.
