• Ratan (4/5): - only one bathroom for entire hotel - shared. very small rooms, passage, stairs. The area is very noisy - hard to sleep at night. The hotel helped me to keep my luggage before check in.

• Anna (6/5): - Honestly this hotel is a great budget friendly option for those who want a few nights in Paris as there is a metro link in close proximity of the hotel and not too expensive if you want to get a taxi back at night. The rooms are fine but very basic, the shower facilities were good and always clean enough. It wasn’t an issue for us but for those who struggle with mobility it might be a struggle due to a steep spiral stair case to go up to the rooms. The toilets are an interesting use of space on the stair case, this didn’t bother us but could be improved by providing a sink to wash hands after using but as you have a sink in the rooms it’s not too much of a problem. We would stay again

Not the best area of Paris to stay in - was very loud and did not feel safe outside at night. But again, excellent accommodation for the price you pay.

Está cerca del metro y encima de una cafetería. Antes de salir devuelves la llave que luego te dan cuando regresas; y todas las mañanas entra a la habitación (siempre que esté vacía) el servicio de limpieza, ya que no hay cartel de "no molestar". Tienes el lavabo dentro de la habitación, no hay ascensor (son 5 plantas) y la ducha es compartida entre todas las habitaciones de cada planta. Aún así, elegiría este hotel, es tranquilo, barato y ofrecen muy buen trato para unos dias en la ciudad.

• Micaela (6/5): - Nice and helpful staff and clean hotel It has only two showers for the whole hotel and the toilets are super inconvenient and tiny, but for that price you can not ask for much in Paris.
• Guillaume (6/5): Séjour mitigé. - Séjour d'une nuit en solo que j'ai réservé car prix très attractif et il s'agit bien d'une prestation a prix bas. Le réceptionniste, certes gentil, arrivé avec 10 minutes de retard a sa prise de poste. Arrivé dans la chambre, la salle de bain sent les égouts. Le matelas du lit forme un creux en son centre fort désagréable pour dormir confortablement. La nuit a été également compliqué car la douche commune est juxtaposé a la chambre et qu'on entend les gens se doucher. Niveau insonorisation également, on entend tous les bruits de l'hôtel.

• Grey (4/5): - If you want to walk up 93 winding steps to your swaybacked mattress overlooking THE single noisiest street in Paris -- if not all of Europe -- this is the spot for you! On the plus side, the room was a decent size, and you certainly can't beat the price; the neighborhood is very colorful, with some amazing little hole-in-the-wall dirt cheap African restaurants with heaping plates of delicious exotic food for pennies, which almost makes up for having to climb halfway up a staircase to squeeze yourself into a tiny toilet in the Hotel de la Poste. Almost.

• Douglas (8/5): Handicapped issue - It was a good location as I am handicapped and the metro was close by as well as two major grocery stores, a market, and internet shop as well as three boulangeries and restaurants. When I had to rest in bed for the entire day, it was but just a short walk to get necessities. However, no hotels and staff when requested would help me carry items up to the third floor - four floor in US terms.

• Iraerson (6/5): French famous for being unwashed, no wonder why - It is very sad how how the management can miss in so many small details to make a stained more comfortable. I don't know what what is this with the French that they have to put a hen shower for their guests. Not only a hand shower, it's a cheap hand shower. What is also said that no matter what request you make it is not honoured. In my case I pulled a muscle on my knee and I was having difficulties to walk full stop when I got to the hotel they put me on a 5th floor with no lift. I requested something closer to the ground floor if there was and he said the hotel was full and literally walked away without any concern.

La higiene fatal, lo unico que estaba limpio era el suelo y el lavabo. La pared de la ducha pegajosa y el inodoro marron. Solo teníamos 1 sobre pequeño de jabon para 2 personas y 3 noches,pedí otro y solo me dieron una pastilla pequeña de jabon para manos...tuve que comprar uno fuera. No lo recomiendo

• Anna (6/5): Simple but clean room. - The room was very basic but clean. It looked as it was recently refurbished but some items were not secured to the walls properly. Surprisingly there was no mould anywhere but the bed would be better with a proper spring mattress rather than thin foam. We only needed the room for few hours' sleep and it perfectly served the purpose. Wi-Fi is not free.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Kind of dirty hotel and neighborhood - The man at the desk is nice overall but came banging at our door and yelling at us for mistakenly leaving the key in the door. Room looks depressing but we only needed it for sleeping. The area is not the greatest and the transportation strike made it hard to get around
• Verified traveler (6/5): - This hotel wasnt TOO bad. The cleanliness was ok! There was a funny smell coming from the shower and it wouldn't cost the hotel much to give the place a lick of paint. HOWEVER we found the staff very nice and helpful, manager and room service staff were always smiling and saying hello which is great. The main thing that ruins this hotel completely is the area, there are people loitering outside until 3.30am screaming and howling. I would definitely not stay here If you are a women on your own. The people loitering outside don't seem very nice to deal with and completely ruin the whole paris vibe 😭 There is a nice bar Josephina on the corner towards main road (although 21 euros for two beers & a coke. ) I can't recommend anywhere nice to eat as McDonald's over priced and everything else is halal!!!!! Overall I would stay here again if everywhere else booked, but if I ever visited Paris again I would prefer somewhere else.

• Sigrid (10/5): - Great location! We loved this part of Paris. So diverse and interesting. We were able to walk to many important sites from the hotel. And it was surprisingly quiet at night for being in a busy area.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good Location, Safe Enough, and Some Notable Flaws - We chose this hotel for it's convenient location and reasonable price. Paris is an expensive city, so we didn't expect a lot for 50 Euros a night. I read some terrible reviews about the hotel which made me nervous, but overall we were pleasantly surprised. The area seemed safe enough and the hotel staff were kind (some spoke English and others only spoke French). There were a few flaws that should be noted for future guests though. If you want a private bathroom, you have to specify that and pay extra (which we did). The room is small and the bathroom is even smaller. In our particular room, the pillows were from a couch, the double bed had two twin mattress pads pushed together (which wasn't a huge problem, just uncomfortable at times when they came apart), the shower door didn't shut all the way so water poured onto the floor whenever we showered, and the sink was clogged. Also WiFi is 1 Euro extra a day per device. Despite all of this, we felt relatively safe, we were located very close to a metro stop, and there was a delicious bakery right around the corner. We knew very little French, yet were still able to check-in and communicate without many issues. I would recommend this to a young couple with flexible attitudes who are trying to save money while still being close to the city. But if you prefer a slightly more comfortable stay or are planning to spend a lot of time in the room and are willing to pay more, this probably isn't the hotel for you.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - It is loud at night, the noises from the street outside sometimes woke me up. The lamp in gents toilet doesn’t turn on, my bf had to use his phone flashlight. Shared bathroom can’t be locked! There is a gap at the shared female’s toilet door and someone can peek inside. Sometimes this toilet stinks. The hotel doesn’t provide any slippers to go to the toilet and it’s riddiculous that we had to put on out shoes just to go to the toilet and bathroom

Very dirty; we didn’t even have clean sheets on our bed (hairs on beds when we got there). Everything seemed very poorly kept if at all. Doors to bathroom and shower were so hard to close than they almost wouldn’t let you out! Would never recommend to stay at this place.

• Debora (8/5): Good value for money - The hotel is in a great location, very close to a metro which was fantastic. Overall it is a cheap hotel but the people working there were all lovely and helpful. Our linens were not changed for the entire stay which was a bit annoying but the towels were changed daily. The staff let us keep our luggage in a safe place before check in and after check out which was a great help. It was very noisy at all times due to the busy location and also the shared toilets on the floor so if you wake up from the tiniest noise, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room had almost everything you’d need - table, chairs, hangers, bedside unit & drawers. Overall, if you are not planning on spending much time in the hotel, then this is a good value for money option.

• Blake (4/5): Gun shots and Coffee - Well it was pretty hot in Paris and the room had no fan and no aircon. So we opened the window to the sound of violence n gunshots on the streets below... Not much sleep happened and we ran on croissant and coffee so made the most of the time and just blasted through... Tough place to stay.

• Tom (2/5): Horror hotel - Well where do I begin the room was too small beds were uncomfortable bathroom seemed like it had all diseases of the world.Hotel has no lift so if you have luggage it will be a problem if you are not on first two floors.stuff is not the friendliest.wifi is payed for.And to top this all up the neighborhood is an absolute nightmare.we went out thinking we will get few drinks but my girlfriend got perved on multiple times by random passers by which was quite uncomfortable.twenty seconds away from the hotel entrance we were mugged at knife point so we decided to go back to our not so nice but at least safe room.until late you can hear people just literally standing on the streets yelling and doing basically nothing but molesting people who walk by.At one point we heard a gun shot as well.So if you have spare 10-15€ spend it on a better hotel because value for money in this hotel is nonexistent.This is not a hotel for couples or families perhaps for people just passing by who don't mind if they sleep on the floor or bed because that's what the bed felt like.

• David (6/5): cheap and mostly cheerful - Hotel de la Poste is inexpensive, for Paris, and conveniently located for transport and you can walk to Gare du Nord. It's basically clean, and the staff is helpful. But it is in need of renovation, and fairly basic. If they renovate it, however, prices will probably go up, so you get what you pay for. It seems to have a thriving bar/breakfast place attached, patronised by locals as well as those with breakfast included.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Roomy appartment - Currently undergoing rennovations which was noisy from 7am. Be prepared for a room on the top floors 4 and 5 which is a long way to haul cases. Shared bathroom facilities are small though nearby.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - It's a room with bathroom nothing fancy but ok for a budget place! Don't expect much than you won't be dissaipointed! Close to metro easy to get everywhere
• robert (6/5): down and out in paris - This hotel feels very french. If you want to get a feel for the Paris of George Orwell then you can imagine it as something like this place. The location is great for Momarte and the subway isn't far. There is no lift, so if you're not fit or have a very heavy bag mind you don't get a room on the 5th floor. My stay was in the middle of the immigration crisis, there is an asylum center near by so was interesting to feel close to the news.
• terry (10/5): Nice petite and cozy hotel - cozy and small hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Separate shower, toilet which are all kept Very clean.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - the hotel owners spoke little English but were extremely friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself looks nothing like the pictures. It was so dirty I didn't want to shower because as soon as you opened the shower door, a rotten smell wafted out. The mattresses were dirty as well. I wish I could give a better review because the staff were so friendly, but the hotel cleanliness wasn't great and neither was the area it was situated in.

• Roger (6/5): Last bargain in Paris. - Hotel receptionist was friendly and helpful and the location is one minute from the Metro. My en suite room was on the fourth floor so quite a climb in this traditional building. Overall it was adequate for a short stay and reasonably priced.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - Horrible location ,horrible hotel the all experience was horrible I called them from airport they didn't speak English they did not understand what I was saying , j was planing to take the train but since we had no idea what they were saying I asked them to enable me I called then even 2 days before I arrive , I tried hotels.com with no luck to get them from abroad So took a ridiculous expensive taxi to the hotel then we got dropped at a corner then we got lost finally got in he wanted to charge Ilya a ridiculous price almost double so we left .
• Natalia (4/5): What you see is not what you get - We stayed in this hotel for one night on May 11, 2015. First of all, the room you see while booking was way better than the room we got in reality. I would call it a misrepresentation but the hotel manager was swearing that this is the image that is shown on all bookings. Imagine a large bathroom (white tile on the floor, walls painted with water resistant paint) where a bathtub is replaced with a bed, and a toiled is replaced with a table. At least it was rather clean. No tea cattle or coffee maker.
• Luis (8/5): Awesome hidden jewel - Hotel is half a block away from subway, Paris is at your feet. Typical old world hotel with no elevator, staff was very friendly and helpful. Somebody went to the trouble of personalizing the rooms so they look pretty and inviting. Boiling hot water, lights over bathroom sink, my room had a bathroom which was clean and roomy, big flat screen TV. Some noise from the street but windows are new double pane and shut out the noise. If you are looking for a taste of everyday Paris, this is the place to stay.
• rainy (6/5): The hotel is upto it's price. - The hotel room is exactly what you get for that amount of price. It has what it shows. Close to the station Gare du nord within walking distance around 20 mins.JUST BE CAREFUL IF YOU PLAN TO RETURN LATE INTO HOTEL. THE AREA IS NOT SAFE. I REPEAT AREA IS NOT SAFE FOR LATE NIGHT. We were almost attacked.
