• Gill (8/5): Great location and good value for an Amsterdam hotel - Melvin on reception was excellent, very friendly and gave us lots of useful information. The hotel was in an excellent location, 45 min walk to the Van Gogh Museum, 20 mins to Anne Frank House, 15 mins to Damm Square, some lovely local eating and drinking places nearby - can recommend The Sea Palace (Chinese) opposite hotel in the water, Italia Oggi nearby for authentic Italian food and great service. The beds in hotel were very soft - we usually favour a hard mattress but we sunk into these soft ones and slept really well! Continental breakfast was sufficient and the coffee was good! We opened the bedroom window for air during the night, but it could get noisy with people partying nearby.

• Teresa (5/5): Would probably not recommend this hotel for the money. - Very hard to find due to small sign and small doorway, but it was relatively close to central train station. Beds not comfortable and mattress toppers kept sliding off. Tv not in position to watch from beds and only one very stained chair in room for 3 people. There was something reddish brown on wall near one bed that wiped off with disinfectant wipe. There’s no real hotel lobby to sit in and have a private conversation without person at desk being within 4 feet of you. One gentleman at desk for the night was very rude. Tried having a phone conversation with family member back in states and he was watching a movie on his phone and he turned it up very loud so tried to stand in hallway to make call and he came and said not allowed to stand there and go to your room. Area did not seem safe after dark for a female to stand outside.

They didn't have any, so we had to park in a public parking lot far away, which cost us €45 per day. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable; the mattresses kept sliding apart.

Polite very helpful I was very happy we got a first floor room as my mum is bad on her legs they do have a lift but she doesn't like them either our room was clean and tidy and we arrived to little chocolates on the beds. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très agréable. Ils ont une salle pour garder les bagages le premier ou dernier jour. Les chambres sont pas bien insonorisées donc on entend les bruits des autres chambres ainsi les bruits de la rue, pourtant j'étais au 5ème étage.

• Rossana (4/5): Had to sleep on a bare mattress and found it disgusting - The location was excellent. The staff were friendly enough. I only stayed one night so I didn't have many requests or needs to be met, but all the same, the staff were pleasant when I had any questions. The beds were terrible. Very cheap foam mattresses with a topper on top. The topper was not secured to the main mattress and it was sliding back and forth on the mattress constantly. We were one adult and 3 children. The bedding was also not secured to the mattresses properly, as the sheets were not angled or elasticated, so they were just flat sheets that were tucked into the mattress topper with very little overhang to secure the ends under the mattress properly. So the sheet was shifting and moving off the mattress surface all night, in combination with the topper sliding all over the main mattress as well: the result was that 2 of my children fell off the bed. Even my 6 year old who doesn't weigh much, the mattress topper had fallen onto the floor and I found her asleep on the floor in between the two beds. The most disgusting part was that we all ended up sleeping on the bare mattress for most of the night since the sheet would not stay in place and was constantly bunching up. There was no waterproof mattress protector used, which I think is essential for hotel beds. I found it very disgusting to think of myself sleeping on that bare mattress and who was the person before me who also slept on the bare mattress. I would not stay here again, absolutely not.

A mio avviso posizione ottima per non rimanere nel casino del centro, ma essere vicinissimi alle attrazioni principali. In meno di 10 minuti si era alla stazione centrale o piazza Dam, risultando quindi un punto di appoggio perfetto sia per le gite fuori porta, che per attraversare il fiume col traghetto, che per visitare la città senza usare i mezzi. Colazione inclusa, semplice, apprezzata con una ampia fascia oraria Reception aperta 24/7 con personale molto cortese e possibilità di lasciare i bagagli sia all’arrivo che il giorno della partenza, per godersi ancora la città senza bagagli d’intralcio Niente di particolare. Forse l’unico erano le Camere non completamente insonorizzate, abbiamo sentito qualche rumore durante la notte, ma assolutamente sopportabile

• Elen (5/5): - Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Frühstück funktional. Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer. Tägliche Reinigung. In der Lüftung war Schimmel zu sehen. Wurde zwar nach einer Meldung entfernt aber fraglich wie dir ganze Belüftung aussieht, wenn von außen sichtbarer Schimmel/Pilz rausgewachsen war. Die Matratzen sind viel zu weich gewesen.

Dieses Hotel hätte nur die Hälfte kosten dürfen. Extrem kleine Zimmer, kein vernünftiger Kleiderschrank, Dusche ohne Ablagemöglickeit für Duschgel, Frühstücksraum im Keller ohne Fenster etc...

Breakfast was more than expected as the hotel is very small. Very clean. Extremely small room, even for budget room. You literally have to struggle to fit in if you have a suitcase with you. For that price would of expected a bit more space, but maybe it is what it is if in Amsterdam.

• ANH TAI PETER (6/5): God lokation men... - Meget fin værdiboks. Fint med mængden af håndklæder. Der var en receptionist, som var meget serviceminded som jeg synes godt om. De andre receptionister var flinke nok. Rigtig god lokation. Mit hotelværelse var ikke klar klokken 14.00, men jeg fik nogle ekstra forfriskninger af receptionisten. Jeg synes der manglede et badeforhæng og badeforhængsstang på badeværelset. Receptionisten forklarede mig, at de ikke kunne gøre noget eller havde nogle af de ting. Men jeg kunne få ekstra håndklæder hvis vandet løb ud over gulvet på badeværelset. Jeg må sige, at det er noget af det mest skuffende jeg har oplevet på et hotel. Der var heller ikke nogen tv-kanaler, der virkede. Der kunne godt have været en lille lampe ved skrivebordet. Der hvor man hang jakker og tøj var lidt småt. Jeres air condition virkede ikke. Jeg prøvede alle indstillinger og vær tålmodig, men rummet blev ikke varmere. Der var ikke så god isolering, så det kunne godt blive noget køligt på værelset. Man kunne godt blive forstyrret i sin søvn udefra, da jeg sov på stueplan. Der manglede et lille stativ til at lægge sæben i ved bruseren. Det kunne være lækkert, hvis der var en minibar til sine drikkevarer. Morgenmaden var noget kedelig. De havde kogt æg, 2 typer skinke og ost, noget brød, juice, mælk og kaffe. Efter at have prøvet morgenmaden 1 gang, spiste jeg ude hver dag.

• Israel (6/5): - La localización No funcionó la calefacción, nos dejaron un pequeño calefactor. Éramos 4 y un niño pequeño solo había cuatro almohadas. Pedimos una y nos dijeron que no había disponible, sabíamos que íbamos a dormir con mi hijo, pero por lo -1 almohada para que él pudiera dormir

• Addy (9/5): Excelente opção em Amsterdam - Gostei muito do excelente atendimento dos funcionários, conforto dos quartos e localização excelente. Não gostei muito do travesseiro por ele ser um pouco alto.
