• F. Seymour (8/5): - Was clean and quiet, very friendly staff, shower was great. *Not the accommodations fault. The location wasn't too bad, it was the side street that we had a problem with. At night, there were dogs that would come out and bark at you and sound very aggressive. This happened a few times, which scared us quite a bit.

• Davenport (10/5): - The people and facilities were very good. The one thing that I would give the lowest score would be they fumigated the property without giving us notice. We thought the building was on fire. We couldn't see more than a foot or two in front of us as we went down the stairs. I am vulnerable to pesticides and was very ill for two days. The only thing they offered was a late check-out at no charge. I thought they should have ordered something more for the illness they caused. Everything else was excellent.

• Juliana (8/5): - For the price you pay, this is a great option to stay in Legian. Good location, friendly staff, rooms are comfortable. Nothing major but a few details would definitely improve the place: the balcony is nice but it has no chairs for you to sit and enjoy. A rack to hang wet clothes would be greatly appreciated too.

• Sharyn (10/5): AMAZING Hotel, Clean, Comfortable, Fantastic Location would 100% stay again. - I absolutely loved my stay at Bali Chaya Hotel, so much I almost don't want to do a review so I can keep it a secret. What a fabulous find. There were a few reviews that commented on the long lane to get to it that made them feel uncomfortable, I did not see the problem. Gorgeous family live down there who would greet you most days and a number of other villas on the lane so enough people coming and going to make me feel very comfortable even coming in late at night. I loved that it was set back off the road made it lovely and peaceful. Also a smaller hotel so not loads of families staying which meant it was very peaceful. The pool is partially shaded but never cold with a few sun lounges getting sun most of the day. It was very clean and well maintained. Rooms are a little dated well mainly the bathrooms but they are clean and mould free which is the main thing. Bed is big and very clean and comfortable with great pillows that feel new. I was on level 1 and slept very well. Staff are lovely, friendly and attentive and are on 24hrs. Honestly I personally can't fault it and I am an ex house keeper so pretty fussy. Liked it all. Perhaps not a huge fan of the breakfast I had but that was on me should have gone the Nasi Goreng instead of cereal and toast what was I thinking :) lol Although definitely do not order a cup of tea. Just a tip for the hotel maybe invest in some tea pots? Or at least leave the bag in the cup of hot water as it was very weak tea once I added milk but again possible should have not ordered tea in Bali lol.

• Kristy (9/5): Safe, clean and very affordable. Friendly staff and the pool access room was great. - The cosy, clean feeling of the hotel and how peaceful it was. Unfortunately i had my drink spiked on my last night in Bali but the staff were so accommodating and caring by letting me have the room and extra 2 nights, bringing clean linen and even bringing me some ginger tea after hearing what happened to me. The long walk down a laneway in the dark from the main street was an unexpected one. It was dark at night and when it rained you had to walk through muddy puddles. The beds were very hard didn’t sleep the best but that couldnt be helped.

• Karli (8/5): - Nice budget hotel. Our room was clean and seemed larger than our neighbouring family who were staying at the hotel. Breakfast was good, and the location was perfect. Staff were very helpful.
• Nathan (7/5): - It wasn't a 5 star hotel, but we certainly got what we paid for. The accommodation was central, comfortable, enjoyable and pleasant to stay at. It is a little outdated, but for the price I could not complain about anything at all! Food was so well priced, the pool was amazing. Staff were friendly, but communication was hard sometimes. We would definitely stay here again if we were travelling on a budget again. We were only given two pillows for the bed and when we asked twice for more, they did not come. Hotel needs a little maintenance, but it's Bali that's how everything is!

We were able to leave a suitcase with them while we travelled. We came back for our last night. We were also able to checkout an hour later than usual. The location. It was down the end of a long gang, which is fine but there was a lot of mess just next door while construction was going on.

• Natalie (5/5): Wouldn’t stay here again - The people we met there (very friendly) The resort is in dire need of some TLC/maintenance, the bar stools around the bar (wobbly couldn’t use-too dangerous) only 5 Sun loungers around the pool, the 3 piece table chair set from the early 80s has been welded back together god knows how many times. Lane way to resort is quite dark & pavers/road uneven.

The food was terrible and the beds were so hard and uncomfortable that made my 12 day stay very disappointing.They also need to update the pictures of the Hotel when they advertise, as it's a lot more run down now to what is depicted in the new phone when first built.drain in our room had a sewerage odor and never drained well. This was my ninth trip to Bali and I stay somewhere different each visit, but unfortunately this one I won't be returning to again.

• Meagan (6/5): It’s a lovely hotel for people not wanting to spend a lot of money where they sleep. It’s a bit run down but that’s bali - Very close to shops beach and lots of shopping. Down an ally way so off the street nice and quiet room service kinda cheap.. The beds were very hard and the pillows are very thick like heavy and big pillows I like smaller pillows lol. The food for breakfast is ok. I didn’t see a buffet set up though. Also not that it matters but no conditioner but there was shampoo.

It is poorly maintained, the pool decking is broken with holes in it, the pool furniture is minimal and all broken as well staff are oblivious to it and don t care. Rooms are dirty, dust was inches thick behind tv, bathroom very inadequate.

• Stella (8/5): Sauberes,ruhiges Hotel ohne Partygäste mit bequemen Betten und guter Verdunklung - Das Hotel liegt gut erreichbar zum Zentrum und Strand und doch weit genug weg von der lauten Pub-Umgebung. Das Bett war super bequem, die Reinigung auf Wunsch täglich und jeweils mit frischem Wasser,Tee und Kaffee. Es gab einen Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher-perfekt für den Start in den Tag, wenn man sein eigenes Frühstück möchte. Ausserdem ein Flachbild-TV mit der Möglichkeit,youtube oder Netflix zu schauen. Es gibt auch ein Restaurant direkt neben dem Pool. Ich habe ihn nie benutzt, da es ein Meer gibt…er sah aber immer sauber aus. Nicht allzu gross aber das Hotel ist auch kein Riesen Komplex. Die Vorhänge sind super blickdicht, nachts konnte ich sehr ruhig schlafen. Das Bad hat Alles, was man braucht (auch Warmwasser), guter Wasserdruck, dicke Handtücher, regelmässig neues Klopapier :)! Das Gepäck konnte ich beim Auschecken viele Stunden aufbewahren lassen, weil mein Flug erst abends ging. Freundliche,hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter und im Restaurant gehen sie auch auf Sonderwünsche ein (ich esse sehr fettarm und sie haben z.B.meine Bestellung ohne Saucen/Öl zubereitet). Es gibt nur einen Stuhl im Zimmer und den habe ich auf den Balkon gestellt, weil es dort sonst keine Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt. Für mich alleine war das ok, wenn man mit Mehreren reist, etwas unpraktisch. Achtung: ich bin mit einem Fahrer zum Hotel gefahren. Wir haben es trotz langem Rumfahren nicht gefunden. Ich bin die letzten 2 km zu Fuss/Roller gegangen. Google Maps hat irgendwie Schwierigkeiten und möchte Autos durch Strassen fahren, die für Autos gesperrt sind! Also die Adresse ganz genau eingeben (mit Namen des Hotels) und nicht von der Bookingseite kopieren!
