Bed was comfortable. Wasn’t as clean inside - cleaner needs to pay special attention to skirting boards as there was discarded foil tops from something.

- Christine (4/5): Good food, lovely staff, shame about the room - Wonderful staff and very good food in the evening The hotel doesn’t take table reservations for hotel guests. Hotel bar very busy but got the last table. Room 6 was a disgrace. Windows could not be opened, wood rot in windowsills, tv worked intermittently, shower dribbled, shower panel leaked water all over floor, extractor fan not working, very difficult to flush toilet. Made complaint to hotel but no response. The huge amount of money we paid for the room made it extremely poor value. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Il lavandino del bagno è incredibilmente antiquato: con due rubinetti distinti per acqua calda e acqua fredda. Risulta quindi impossibile ottenere acqua miscelata.

So quiet and perfect for evening walks The cottage we stayed in was very grubby, showers were mouldy, mattress was covered in stains. Strange man wandering back and forth into the garage on the property for a whole day of our stay. Complaints were not answered.

The carpet was worn in a few places and paint peeling off part of the window frames. This is an old hotel so we didn’t expect new. I would stay again as cleanliness is no1 priority for me and it ticked those boxes.

It was however not cleaned as well as we would have expected (Dusty rooms and some sticky floors), as it probably got a bit less attention than the hotel rooms in the main building

- Iain (8/5): We still had a brilliant stay and would definitely come back again. - The downstairs off the Hotel is absolutely gorgeous, so oldie worldy very unique. The breakfast was lovely great choices. We had a really lovely stay. The thing that let's it down would have to be the bedroom decor, they could really do with a refresh. The room just didn't live up to the downstairs with all it's beautiful furniture and lovely character.

Cleanliness in all areas Decent choice of cooked breakfast food. Bacon and potato scone felt like they had been deep fried/or lots of oil. Poached egg had a firm yolk. Basic offering of bread, yoghurt and tinned fruit. Bed was too hard for me. Toilet was difficult to flush
- Mayer (7/5): Charmantes Landhaus mit Renovierungsbedarf - Das Landhaus im klassischen schottischen Stil hat einen tollen Charme und man fühlt sich beim Betreten direkt wohl. Auch der Service war sehr nett und das Frühstück grundsätzlich gut. Allerdings merkt man beim zweiten Blick, dass die Unterkunft etwas in die Jahre gekommen und teilweise renovierungsbedürftig ist. Die Ausstattung wirkt stellenweise älter und die Sauberkeit war nicht überall überzeugend, zum Beispiel beim Wasserkocher und Besteck. Beim Frühstück hatten wir zudem leider Schimmel auf dem Vollkornbrot. Das kann natürlich ein Einzelfall gewesen sein, passt aber etwas ins Gesamtbild.

The bar and restaurant very cosy and the majority of staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is not overpriced, like many of the surrounding restaurants in Pitlochry. Breakfast was excellent. Charles was especially helpful and friendly, a real credit to the hotel and his profession. Hotel does not appear to cater to early risers. No hot water in the room at 7am, my wife was unable to shower before a long day on the road. There was hot water for a shower the night before. Earlier breakfast options would be nice for a hotel that caters to hikers. Current times 08:00-09:15 is restrictive for those wishing to get a early start, especially during the weekdays. We had to skip the inclusive breakfast for this reason. Suggest offering 7-9am. I feel like £15 for a dog is abit excessive, most hotels we stay at offer dogs for free or £10. Booking.com states £10 on the Moulin hotel listing but we were charged £15 on arrival. Overrall great stay.

We loved sitting next to the fire and chatting to other customers. The rooms were clean. The meal at dinner was very ‘beige’ with zero vegetables on the plate. There was a constant hum ? of a boiler or vent in the room that prevented me sleeping.

The photos don't do the place justice. There's a main road close to the hotel, which is excellent for transport, but it should be noted that the road is very quiet with little traffic.

- LINDA (9/5): Easter stay - Great value for bed & breakfast. Lovely location too. A bit of a walk to the main street but there was a regular bus no 24 to the town centre. Excellent food served in the bar too with a good menu. They were short staffed but the service did not suffer in any way. Both the woman & the young man could not have done more to deal with a busy bar. Room was a bit dated & could do with an upgrade however, it was very clean & comfortable.
