Booking overcharge was fixed but instead of refund a Discovery Holiday Park credit was put in our DHO account. Quick response to our needs in a two bedroom cabin. Clean inside but dirty ceiling fans and repairs of curtains and small items need attention.

The branches from this tree constantly hit the cabin and a few times they hit with such force, that I thought the walls were going to collapse inwards. I had limited sleep on this particular night.

No amount of airing could get rid of the smell. The remote control for the tv had no batteries, so we couldn't watch television without doing it manually. Reception closed early,

- Andrew (8/5): Value for money in Whyalla - Stayed in a cabin this trip and found it a little run down. There were things that required fixing, cleaning or upgrading but for the price I didn't expect a 5-star hotel. The bed was reasonably comfortable (6/10) It was extremely hot when I stayed (40 degrees) and I was pleased the air-conditioner worked perfectly. For the price I would stay here again.

Out of pocket expensive, but the best value is, I will never stay at Whyalla Discovery Parks again.

The room was clean and tidy and the shower was lovely and hot with good water pressure. The bed wasn't really that comfortable (6/10)

- Verified traveler (6/5): - In the cabin we stayed in we had spiders and webs everywhere, we killed a total of 5 in 2 nights (could see the webs had been there a while). There was a light fitting on the wall well within reach of both adults and kids that had exposed wires. The toilet had issues flushing (float kept getting stuck). No alarm clock or small speaker to listen to music on. No where within reach in the main bedroom to charge two phones, and a total of only 1 power point in the whole bedroom located at the dressing table near the bedroom door (furthest from the bed). And finally the wall clock was out by about 5 and half hours. Facilities would be really nice with a bit of TLC. The receptionist staff seemed lovely and pleasent to deal with.

Only small issue we had was that a couple of areas in the room had been missed by the cleaners (glass top tables and door frames had finger prints on them and ceiling fan blades were dirty). Will definitely be recommending the park to family and friends and will return ourselves.
