Guest Reviews
- Jesse (10/5): Friendly Experience! - This was a very nice, clean, and quiet hotel. The staff was very friendly. The coffee was good and the breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel!
- Martin (3/5): Over priced 176.00 for this place was crazy - Close to work Toilet ran all night . Was running when opened door
- Arnold-Jessica (10/5): Pleasant - Nice comfortable rooms
- mykokobud (8/5): - Didn't eat the breakfast. Tried to but there was very little to nothing available. Too many people eating, not enough food available. We ended up eating elsewhere.
- LAURA (10/5): - Front desk rep Gisele super nice and friendly.
Breakfast was delicious. Tables very clean.
- W128LGloris (10/5): Consistently a great place to stay - Cobblestone Inn and Suites Big Lake TX always does a great job! We use this hotel regularly and reservations are always correct, rooms are always ready when we arrive, and they're clean when we there, open the door. Thank you Jennifer and team for the tireless hours and hard work! We appreciate all you do!!!
- L9583UCdougm (10/5): Great employees - The employees were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the room and the location of the hotel, but the employees went above and beyond my expectations.
Thank you for your kindness. Nancy
- Joddi (10/5): - Clean friendly
- Valeria (10/5): - Rooms clean
- bmarcom1954 (10/5): "A Diamond in a Goat's Butt....!! (Old saying) - Everything Worked in the room.!
Very nice facility. Pet friendly!!
Beds a tad soft, but not as bad as most we've experienced in our trips thru the oil patch. Cleanliness was impeccable.
Great coffee bar, nice breakfast arrangement opening at 4AM-!!!
Quiet environment, cool AC. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Pillows too overfluffed for my tastes, but 100% loved our short stay.
We reserved a room for our return trip from Far west TX next week.

- Deanna (9/5): Everytime I visit I always stay at Cobblestone - Place was very quiet bed was comfortable breakfast was excellent The water pressure is a little low
- Verified traveler (8/5): Happy Stay - At first I thought it was just going to be a regular room but when I walked in I was happy it was roomy and very clean bed was very comfortable for being an oil field town it was very quiet.
- Dannyanddrew (6/5): TV monitor is on timer and wakes you up in the night! - the good: cotton sheets not synthetic. breakfast choices above average
the tolerable: the room is really showing its age and window didn't open, reception kind and courteous
the bad: TV monitor goes on automatically on a timer and woke us up at 2 in the morning and again at 6am. Later when we politely notified the front desk of this, she informed us that all the TVs are like that and are on some automatic timer system and they "can't do anything about it". One thing we would have appreciated was a warning about this. we got a horrible nights sleep. Heads up that you should unplug your TV if this is still an issue. We were told that the long term guests all know this. they should tell everyone checking in, its just cruel.
- jerrydY868TR (10/5): Happy customer - Enjoyed the room and the service and had a decent breakfast. The staff was great very good customer service. The bed was soft and got plenty of towels. The pillows were nice and soft. The carpets and shower were nicely cleaned. Great air conditioning.
- Meredith (8/5): - Although expensive for the conditions, hotel staff were kind and accommodating. The beds and bathroom were clean, however, many of the walls were fairly filthy. It was very quiet, as I think we may have been the only ones staying there. I have been told it is occasionally very crowded (during oil boom times). There is no elevator if that's something you need. The "breakfast bar"left a lot to be desired - flavorless fruit, junk food snacks, and 2 hot items that did not look particularly palatable. All things being equal, I'd likely stay here again because I know what I'm going to get. I would definitely stay here over the trailer home/extended stay establishment we viewed from our window. It has window unit heating and cooling which is not preferable.
- Dan (2/5): Cockroach - This place ?ucks
- mloho (6/5): Good for Big Lake - It was fairly clean-bed and bathroom yes, walls, no. Hard to figure out how to turn on the tv. Nice to have a microwave and frig. The AC is a window unit, not great. No elevator. Breakfast was packaged junk food and old powdered eggs and frozen link sausage. Nothing edible IMO. Desk and hospitality very kind and capable. Appreciated their going above and beyond.
- K429ADsergior (10/5): Home away from home. - Clean room, clean hotel. Staff is awesome! Stayed there for 2 weeks, definitely my home away from home. Really appreciated the breakfast so early in the morning. We have odd hours and you all had breakfast ready before 4am which was awesome .
- Christine (4/5): Overpriced low quality hotel. - 2nd highest priced hotel in area. Breakfast was lacking. Juice machine broken. No other option offered. Guest service was busy watching football game. Black curly hairs all over tub. Carpet was dirty. Tv broken. Doors to staff room wide open. Where they launder bedding was filthy. Pictures must have been taken 10 years ago. Looks to have once had a bar and lounge area, now marked staff. That’s where they were hanging out watching football.
- Bailee (9/5): Superb -
- Ronnie (4/5): - Had a weird smell and duct tape holding Sheetrock. No TV. Did not work
- Greg (4/5): - Can't really say much for the area around the property as this is in the middle of just about no where. But the place itself is quite lacking in a lot. Don't expect an elevator, so if you have a lot of stuff or a heavy suitcase, expect to be dragging up a flight of stairs. The rooms have...character. They're a bit outdated, so do not expect this to be any place fancy or a good bit for an extended stay. This works just fine as a place to sleep for the night and skip to the next location.
- juliafQ1612SY (10/5): We had numerous bookings and they were handled very well. - I was grateful to staff for their help getting as many bookings as I needed for our gathering. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean. Everyone in our group had a good experience. We would definitely stay at your hotel again.
- Jeremy (9/5): Superb -
- B5218GCchristopherc (10/5): The Best Hotel in Big Lake , Tx. - This is one of the Best Hotel's I've stayed at on business. The Staff is so friendly and handle any problems that may occur Professionally and properly. I would recommend
the Big Lake Cobblestone to anyone on business are just a get away. For Sure this is
my First Choice.
- dannysY298XC (10/5): The Cobblestone My Home Away from home. - i Love Staying at the Big Lake Cobblestone. Eeryone is so Friendly and Helpful , i would not think of staying any where else when i come to big lake on business. There are some times when i stay out here for weeks on end. But no problem because it feels like my 2nd home. From the Great manager to the lobby girls and the room staff i feel at home. So for Me there is no question about where im staying. Good Job Cobblestone.
And Thanks to all the Staff for making my stay so much like Home !!!!!!
- H7994AMadamw (10/5): Big Lake Bonus - Jen and her team are great! Good rooms, good beds and they even have jacuzzi rooms, was a welcome surprise after a 6 hour drive and booking on short notice!
Pricing is great compared to less desirable spots in the area. If you’re shopping around for employees working in the area or just passing through, would definitely recommended!
- Connie (10/5): - The staff were friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and clean for an oilfield hotel. Service is great!
- humberto (10/5): - We arrived late and they had wings for us to eat.
- James (7/5): Good -
- 508gregoryf (8/5): Katlin was best - i booked the day of my stay, so options were limited. The Republic and Best Western plus were sold out. Book early. Cobblestone had rooms. The only hotel left, The room was plain. Nothing special. No pool or workout area. Breakfast was ok. Katlin was charming. You are lucky to have her on staff. I used a free night to reduce cost to $70. Oil Town so they charge more
- Gregory (8/5): A Motel, book early in Big Lake - 3 Motels in town other 2 were booked. Room was fine. Katlin was great! breakfast ok. overpriced, but oil workers
- Tessie (10/5): - It was just a one night stay. The staff were nice and the hotel was clean and quite. Breakfast was good for a small hotel. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent - Great place to stay, clean, quiet.
Beds a little uncomfortable, and hot eater was more luke warm. May be just personal preference.
- Charles (10/5): - This place is like an oasis in the desert. Clean, well maintained, friendly staff. A really great place to stay.
- mark (10/5): Hunting trip - Small town but was very nice hotel had nice room and very nice and helpful people working the front desk definitely will stay again if I go back to that area great experience.
- John (8/5): Nice place - Everything was good
- Casey (10/5): - Clean and tidy. Front desk welcomed us as we arrived. Overall a great experience
- Matt (8/5): Good stay! - I was there to visit family who are temporarily there. The state was just fine. Not the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed out but the bed was comfortable everything seemed clean and we were treated great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Budget friendly & cold AC.
- Jesse (10/5): Loved it - Very friendly staff room was very clean and very comfortable. Location is also very convenient

The room was small
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean well kept and staff we dealt with were great😃
- Verified traveler (10/5): - good location; fair price; friendly staff; nice room
- Aaron (10/5): Loving it,! - It was an overall great stay.
- jdethlefsen2 (4/5): Price and service in this location 2 different direction - I was very suprised about the price for 1 night in this hotel ( $ 128.00) for this ;ittle and NOT clean city!
Start as I was checked in: Room key was NOT working on the outside door and room
Room was OK but for this price range I was expecting much more!!!!
Breakfast was the cheapest Item in this hotel , " Omelett item was cold and burnt,
the breakfast bacon was a joke at all.....totally burned , I had the idea this was the rest from the day before
I had to ask the front desk woman ( Black , she was more interested to text on her Ipot) why the coffee is cold
As a business traveler I never had this kind of breakfast ( Diamond member of Choice hotels and Wyndham!!!!!)
I am a professional restaurant expert ( Chef and Waiter, included Restaurant manager) must say, that this management failed the whole time to trained the right
employees for this job!!!!!
I am will except any comment and response from the Franchise of this hotel!!!!!!!
CHEF Uwe
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was nice and clean. The key for me was the TV service. They had the Longhorn Network which I have found very unusual in my trips to West Texas.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything, staff was great, room was very clean. 2 thumps up
- Patty (10/5): - Staff was great. No elevators. Beds very comfortable.
- CHRISTINE (10/5): Loved it - Amazing Service!!
- Brian (8/5): Great - It's was a pleasant stay.
- Joe (10/5): Great - The stag are great people. The room was exceptionally clean. When you consider the clientele that goes through this area everything was Great!
- 928jenl (10/5): Comfortable and quiet - I was in Big Lake because I work in the oil industry. There are not a lot of options out in West Texas to stay, but I found this hotel to be comfortable, quiet and very reasonably priced for West Texas. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The only downfall if you are staying on the top floor there is no elevator.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Excellant contentional breakfast.
- natalie (4/5): Dirty - Room was not clean, Togo food bag from previous guest still sit at table.
- Juan De (10/5): - Great
- Jeanne (8/5): NICE - THIS HOTEL HAS ROOMS WITH JAZZCUISES , I ORDER ONE ON THOSE AND WHEN I ARRIVED THEY DID NOT HOLD MINE.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice for the price - Breakfast was a little weak. Other than that, it was great for the price.
- Michael (4/5): Dissapointing - Room wasn't ready when I arrived at 8 pm. Front counter staff tried to quickly clean a room. I had to ask her to remove trash from room. Room was still dirty. Bar closed.
- chrislB1138XD (2/5): Dont Stay Here - The rooms are okay, what you would expect and actually at first glance the placed seemed okay. I checked in and was given a key room that was stamped by the girl in front of with a wifi user name and password. I get to the room and called the front desk to find out how to access the internet as i did not see a network. I was told the internet was down and they have no expectation for it to be fixed and to try a network from a neighboring establishment barely worked. They did not care that I needed the internet for work and was very short about it. The breakfast is a JOKE. It is very dirty and barely anything for the guests. You walk right by the front desk to get to breakfast but you never see anyone there. Not one person or staff has even acknowledged me as I have come and gone from the hotel.
DO NOT STAY HERE....No customer service, horrible breakfast, and No internet,
- John (8/5): - Ok place for the money - nothing special
- William (6/5): Won't go back Hotel - Room was very good, night service good. The reservation and information at the Hotel indicated breakfast would be served at 7 am. There was no coffee or any breakfast and no attempt to provide any. I asked for a discount or reimbursement and the day clerk just said that was funny. I asked her to call her Boss and she said her cell phone was dead and that was where her number was. I left dissatisfied.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It was okay. - It was okay. Front desk lady spent more time in the bar area with the oil field workers who were staying their than she did at the front desk.
No elevator! Which is hard to do stairs with luggage, toddler and a 6 month old. Beds were comfortable. I felt safe,But walls were dirty! I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had a choice.
- D8287JAamyl (6/5): Clean Room but not Quiet - The room was very clean with comfortable beds. Decorations for Christmas was up in the lobby was pretty. The only problems I had was that the walls kinda shake and a boom sounded when the doors are slammed shut. Another problem was that I was trying to get orange juice for my breakfast, the machine was dripping water around several nozzles and it made a mess. No orange juice. Breakfast was okay - too much salt added to the eggs. I waited at the desk for awhile like 3-5 minutes for someone to come to my attention.
- brian (2/5): Sukd - Hotel room wasnt very clean and this wasnt the first time this is my 2nd time ive stayed and its been like that probably will not ever visit there again
- Bill (10/5): Great place to stay. - Great place to stay while conducting business. Friendly staff and reasonably priced.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place but under staffed - The hotel is new and the rooms extremely comfortable , but they are short on staff and I was in the area for work, I was working nights so the maids would never clean my room in the evening I had to ask every time , it was only serviced 3 times in 14 days I stayed there.
- Eddie (10/5): - Very clean quite a quick walk to taco bell and dairy q8
- ERIKA TONGATE (10/5): - Nice and relaxing!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel, clean and comfortable beds. I would recommend.
- mmquin11 (4/5): Banquet Room - Place has signs all over the place saying 100% smoke free. We recently attended a party in there banquet Room and the room smelled so bad of nothing but cigarette smoke. We had to end up leaving cause the smell was so bad that it started messing with my allergies. We had asked for some type of spray and the work just looked at me like I was crazy.
- I3180BMchrise (4/5): No receipt - I stayed here after getting off work and before traveling home. I have no real complaints about the quality of the rooms but as for the staff and the way it's operated is a different story.
I asked for a receipt emailed to me so the company I work for could reimburse me for the stay. After a week I contacted them, they apologized and informed me their internet had been down. After another week I called them and they informed me that there Internet is slow... It has now been close to a month and I have not received a receipt yet. I can show proof of purchase via bank statements but the point of the matter is it doesn't seem anyone I have talked to know How to operate a computer or do what I've asked.. Defiantly ask for a paper copy if you stay
- JJS715 (8/5): Clean & New - Having worked out of here for the past year, before Cobblestone came there was not much of a selection. The website is a bit deceiving with vineyards; but they do have a well-stocked bar during Happy Hour off to the east of the lobby. The staff is usually attentive and nice. The continental breakfast is typical, but nice; since there are only a handful of places in Big Lake to eat breakfast at. This is by far the nicest accommodations in Big Lake to date. They do not have many other amenities like you may be used to other than the bar: no swimming pool, workout facility, or real business center- they do have a lounge with news/sports on most times though. The rooms are new, nice for this area, beds are comfortable, and rooms are well equipped. I have never had any issues and will be back for many business trips to come.
- dec122464 (6/5): Nice place a bit over priced - In a small oil field town. This newer hotel had very comfy beds and was very clean. One complaint we had was there was no place to sit in the room except the bed and a broken uncomfortable desk chair. They offer a hot breakfast but you need to get there by 8 or there will be nothing left.
