• Susan (9/5): Loved the beautiful pool and gardens - I loved the huge pool area and gardens. Close to the airport, restaurants, groceries & shopping. I was just there for the night and flying out of Liberia the following day, so it had everything I needed. Expensive, but expected for Costa Rica, I guess.
• MARTHA (8/5): Estancia cómoda y agradable. - Desayuno excelente, variado y la comida calientita. También comimos al almuerzo, todo muy rico, había platos un poco caros pero otros accesibles y ricos. No es culpa del hotel, pero hay demasiados pájaros "zanates", tanto que en el restaurant se corre el riesgo de que caiga una cuita sobre el plato de comida, de hecho, había cuitas sobre los posa pinzas al desayuno :-( muy desagradable, el personal trata de mantener todo bien cubierto; sin embargo, son demasiados y cuesta controlarlo. Adicional, es tanta la vegetación que las piscinas se cubren con hojas muy rápido, de repente sería bueno agregar más horarios para que el personal limpien o saquen las hojas con más frecuencia de las piscinas.

• Esteban (6/5): Hotel viejo, muy caro para lo que es. - El hotel tiene una buena ubicación, cerca del centro de la ciudad y a unos pasos de un centro comercial con supermercado y lugares de comida. Se ve descuidado, viejo. El gimnasio estaba sucio, sin aire acondicionado, sin dispensador de agua y con máquinas en mal estado. El aire acondicionado de la habitación nos falló dos veces. El desayuno es de poca variedad.

• Janet (5/5): Good for a short stay. - The grounds were very beautiful. It looked like a resort. Large pools, outdoor restaurant that stayed open late, lots of Palm trees and other plants. Peacocks were free to roam inside the hotel and out. It had an exotic feel. We had to wait for our room even though we showed up at check in. It looked like it had been cleaned very quickly and the floors seemed a bit dirty. The shower had little water pressure and no hot water. Outside traffic and partying made it hard to sleep.

• Monika (10/5): Very unique best western, would definitely stay again. - We had an early flight to catch so booked a room here since it was close to the airport. It was a really cool spot! From all the peacocks wandering around, to the cute little restaurant, and the quiet pools. Staff were friendly and accommodating and booked us a cab to the airport. A great last stop on the trip, would definitely recommend. I was disappointed we missed the breakfast because it looked like they would have quite the set up. But it's not the hotel's fault our flight was so early!

• Grace (8/5): Fine for the 2 nights before flight out. - Staff are friendly and helpful, and the room is clean enough. It's good for a one or two-night stay if you're flying out of Daniel Oduber. The pool view is stunning not sure the pictures capture the vibarancy, and breakfast is healthy. It was nice to work out at the gym. Conveniently located near Walmart and some takeaway places for food. Was able to save my luggage after check out , so good if you have a late flight. Only Gripe... Fix some of the doors to the rooms; they have expanded and let bugs in. Noisy . It is on a A road , and you hear the peacocks and iguanas, which sound like cats meowing.

It’s close ish to the airport It’s right next door to a discotheque, I barely slept due to loud music and what sounded like explosions. The lighting at the restaurant was so harsh I felt like it was an interrogation
• Yenca (9/5): Top hotel in a natural environment! - The hotel was really nice, beds are comfortable. Staff in general very friendly. I enjoyed a lot the garden, the plants and the peacocks (they are noisy but beautiful). Breakfast was just right, nothing special

It Is like a park that includes magnificent trees and wildlife. The swimming pool is clean as is the surrounding patio and beverage area. The breakfast was varied, tasty and ample. The lobby staff was pleasant and greeted us on our arrival.

• Franklin Lopez (9/5): Buen Hotel - La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, y tiene un ambiente agradable en el área de piscina y desayuno creo que las habitaciones pueden tener un mejor mantenimiento y aunque no lo utilice pero es un inconveniente que el hotel no tenga ascensor

• Michael (8/5): Gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. - Bewährtes Best Western Hotel mit Pool und Parkplatz. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber vollkommen ok für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. -
• Sabine (10/5): Super zum Ankommen oder Abreisen! Der Urlaub beginnt sofort! - Wir hatten ein großes,kühles Zimmer mit Ausblick zum Garten.Der Pool und der Garten sind herrlich! Da unser Flug erst abends war, durften wir nach dem Auschecken noch den ganzen Tag im Garten verweilen, auch das Gepäck konnte untergestellt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es ist nachts manchmal etwas lauter, da die Hauptstraße direkt vorm Hotel ist.

• Parker (3/5): Don't stay here! - Online booking was confusing. Did not understand the pay per person model. I travel extensively and had never seen this. Every site pays per room. Ended up paying more for family members once I got to the hotel than i would have paid online. Felt like they do this on purpose...I am probably not the only one. Felt deceiving especially when the receptionist said they could not give me the online price.

The food was amazing and everyone one super kind.when we walked towards the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised to see the peacocks everywhere! They were amazing and so beautiful 🤩 . • Sabine (9/5): Ausgesprochen gut zum Ankommen und bestimmt auch zum Abfliegen! - Die Nähe zum Flughafen ist super!. Der Garten mit den Lizards und Pfauen ist fantastisch. Man bekommt so gut wie nichts von der Straße vor dem Hotel mit. Wir hatten sogar Brüllaffen im Garten. Der Pool ist herrlich zum Erfrischen. Das Frühstück war außerordentlich gut, für jeden war etwas dabei auch für Allergiker gab es Alternativen. Gar nichts!

Pour le prix il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude dans la douche, pas de savon de douche le récipient était vide. Tout l'établissement est assez vieillot il aurait besoin d'un sérieux coup de jeune.

• Fabian (10/5): - Las areas verdes son muy lindas, no pareciera desde afuera todo lo que incluye, todos los servicios de la habitación funcionaban a la perfección. El desayuno fue excelente. La habitación podría incluir una refrigeradora pequeña para en caso de que uno deba viajar con ciertos medicamentos por ejemplo.

La ubicación tiene como punto fuerte que está al lado de un centro comercial con tiendas y restaurantes. Los jardines y la piscina están bien cuidados. La cama del cuarto que nos tocó (102) es muy pequeña para dos personas. Debe mejorarse la conexión a Internet. La calle frente al hotel que va al aeropuerto suele congestionarse mucho a las horas pico.

• Jose Pablo (8/5): 3 star hotel in a 4 star property - The pool area is surrounded by a beautiful garden where several big Guanacaste trees cast their shadows. I also loved peacocks wandering the area. Finally, the breakfast was delicious. I would stay there again, as the location is great for exploring Liberia's downtown area on foot and for setting up the rest of the other long trips across Guanacaste by car. The hotel needs some new updates; it´s getting old, and besides that, some noise at night is coming from the highway and bars located in front of the property.

• Adonay (5/5): Aceptable pero puede mejorar - Nos gustaron los pavorreales. Nos salió una cucaracha en el baño. Las instalaciones lucen y huelen antiguas. No había nevera. No dieron suficientes paños para 4 personas. En el desayuno, antes del tiempo establecido se agotaron parte del desayuno y no estaban al pendiente de llenarlo.

En el baño el dispensador de jabón terrible, en la ducha se abría cada vez que se usaba. En la noche pedí un chifrijo y fue terrible, hay chifrijos feos y el del restaurante. De verdad y me quejé y que va, solo que pena.

• Ric (10/5): Convenient for a short stay in the Liberia area. - It was quiet at night even though the highway is not too far away. Loved the peacocks wandering around. The breakfast was very good. We were quite busy with organized day trips/sightseeing and did not use the pool very often but the pool itself is very good, including a separate kiddie pool if you have young ones. People we met on our day trips were surprised that we were staying in Liberia, believing everyone goes straight to the beach, but for our trip the BW El Sitio worked perfectly. I don’t think the casino is operating anymore, or at least not when we were there. No problem though, we don’t gamble. The room had a coffee maker to heat water for tea but a kettle would be better. My wife used the coffee maker for her coffee though.
