- Vanni (10/5): Best Ho(s)tel so far! - That is not a Hostel, that is a five star Hotel. Never seen such a clean room, floors and tables. The atmosphere inside is charming and everything is well kept, flowers and plants on the corridors are beautiful. The receptionists were absolutely kind and the breakfast was absolutely enjoyable. The Hostel is about 10 minutes away from the main attractions of the old town but it's minutes away from the main parts of the new town. I've loved it! Nothing!

Recommend! - Excellent location right by the tram station, 15 minutes to get downtown (centrum Altstadt) with the main tourist attractions. Simple but nice renovated rooms. Clean facilities, friendly staff. If you arrive late you get a code for the lockbox and receive a key fob. The shared washrooms (in my case for 4 rooms) didn’t create a problem for me. Modern shower and sink, very clean. You can regulate the temperature of your room according to your liking. They have six parking spots for cars in the courtyard. Narrow passage from the street to the courtyard; can be easily missed.

- Wiegand (9/5): ein schöner Aufenthalt - tolle Ausstattung des Hotels, gutes Frühstück, perfekt und empfehlenswert es gab zwar einen Parkplatz im Innenhof des Hotels, aber die Zufahrt war nur 2,30m breit und sehr sehr problematisch
- Heike (9/5): Sehr schön. - Das ist ein sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Haus. Jedes Zimmer ist eine Augenweide, dazu gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Zimmer zum Hof hin sind sehr ruhig gelegen. Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr gute Lage in der Dresdner Neustadt, um gleich zu Fuß auf Erkundungstour zu gehen. Für weitere Erkundungen hat man die Straßenbahn in unmittelbarer Nähe. -

- Piotr1964 (10/5): Bardzo miło spędzony czas. - Świetna lokalizacja do zwiedzania Drezna, cisza i spokój. Świetna i pomocna obsługa. Do centrum można przejść na piechotę w ok. 30min. Dla leniwych przystanek tramwajowy zaraz przy wyjściu z hotelu. Obok supermarkety. Pokój duży a łóżka to lotniska a przy tym bardzo wygodne. Śniadania proste, wystarczające ale niestety z dań nic na ciepło. Śniadania nie są urozmaicone ale to chyba normalne gdy większość gości nocuje 1 max 2 noce. Brak jakiegokolwiek wyposażenia pokoju w czajnik lub szklanki. Można jednak o szklanki poprosić na recepcji.

- Michael (8/5): Definitiv eine Empfehlung wert! - Ich habe vier Nächte in einem Einzelzimmer im Gästehaus Mezcalero gebucht. Das Bad habe ich mir mit drei anderen Zimmern geteilt. Manchmal muß man einige Minuten warten, aber ich zumindest hatte kein Problem damit. Alles war ordentlich und sauber, die Badezimmer werden täglich gründlich gereinigt. Die Gästezimmer sind rudimentär eingerichtet, aber liebevoll gestaltet und gemütlich. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, das Frühstücksbuffet gut und absolut ausreichend. Das Gästehaus ist umgeben von Restaurants mit Speisekarten aus aller Welt; direkt nebenan befindet sich ein REWE. Insgesamt ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder! Die Anreise mit dem Auto hat ihre Tücken: Die Hofparkplätze sind rasch belegt, sofern man sich denn durch die enge Einfahrt traut. ABER: Autofahren in Dresden ist wahrlich kein Vergnügen, mit dem ÖPNV kommt man bequemer ans Ziel.

- Arne (9/5): Perfekte Lage in der Neustadt im ruhigen Hinterhof - Schönes Hostel/B&B/Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal und sauberem Zimmer. Die Lage ist ideal in Neustadt und die Altstadt nur ein Katzensprung entfernt. Das Frühstücksangebot war für die Größe der Unterkunft überraschend umfangreich. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!
- Joe_Berlin (9/5): Preis-Leistung stimmig, gutes Frühstück - Lage top für eine Großstadt... zum Spazierengehen geeignet. Die Gegend ist voll mit Bars, Restaurants & schönen Plätzen. Ansonsten auch gute Verbindung mit der Tram in die Altstadt. Zimmer war sehr nett & phantasievoll hergerichtet (Waschbeckenecke & Farben). Frühstück war in einem sehr gemütlichen, toll dekoriertem Raum. Mitarbeiter sind immer zuvorkommend und reagieren kundenfreundlich. Kopfkissen waren zu weich, ein wenig wie Watteklumpen. Es kann passieren, dass Gäste etwas laut sind, was man leider ziemlich deutlich mitbekommt (bei uns ein Herr, der bis 1:30 in der Nacht laut telefoniert hat).

- Michael Kliemann (10/5): Alles war so wie erwartet und sogar ein bisschen besser. - Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Die Lage des Hostels ist sehr gut. Es ist trotz der Lage direkt im Zentrum des Stadtteils Dresden Neustadt sehr ruhig. Hotelparkplätze sind vorhanden aber nicht ausreichend. In der näheren Umgebung findet man aber immer ein Parkplatz. Im direkten Umfeld des Hostels gibt es eine große Anzahl internationaler Lokalitäten vom Dönermann bis zu interessanten Dingen wie authentischer koreanischer Küche. Auch die Anbindung an den ÖPNV ist sehr gut da die Straßenbahn fast vor der Haustür hält und man so alle Sehenswürdigkeiten innerhalb der Stadt auch ohne Auto gut erreichen kann.

Es entsteht schnell eine positive Atmosphäre. Das (zusätzlich angebotene) Frühstück ist seine Preis wert. Ich kann im Grunde nichts negatives sagen. Das Haus ist seinem Anspruch angemessen.

We also had breakfast, which was very tasty and offered something for everyone. Free parking is also a big plus. I can’t point out anything significant to complain about. For a longer stay, I would appreciate at least a small fridge in the room, but for those few days it wasn’t necessary at all.

Problemlos wurden Lösungen zur Verbesserung des Komforts (Zusatzdecken) geschaffen. Themen-Hotel. Ausgesprochen schöne Gestaltung des Hotels, der Zimmer, Aufgänge usw. Zentrale Lage und ruhige Umgebung. Viele Flyer von Veranstaltungsorten usw. Großartiges Frühstück von herzhaft bis süß, keine Einzelverpackungen. Zur Information: Alle Zimmer nur über Treppen zu erreichen. Für uns war das kein Problem.

- Annett (8/5): Es ist sehr empfehlenswert - Wir sind Dorfkinder und daher Ruhe gewöhnt. Durch unser Konzert im Kulturpalast suchte ich für uns ein Zimmer. Und wir wurden nicht entäuscht. Die Unterkunft befindet sich im 2. Hinterhof und ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Beim Eintreffen wurde wir nach unseren Frühstücksgwohnheiten befragt. Wir haben gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück wurde gleich am Tisch reserviert. Ihr Kater ist ein liebenswerter Begleiter, der von mir natürlich auch eine Scheibe Wurst bekam. Alles war super. Das Gemeinschaftsbad war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Einziges Manko ist die etwas schmale Einfahrt. Ansonsten kommen wir gerne wieder.

- Tanya (6/5): Insgesamt weiterhin ein schöner Ort mit toller Lage, allerdings mit spürbaren Abstrichen im Vergleic - Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend. Ich war vor der Pandemie mehrfach im Mezcalero und habe dort stets das gute Frühstück, das einzigartige Dekor, sauberkeit. freundlich Personal und die zentrale Lage sehr geschätzt. Leider gab es dieses Mal auch einen deutlichen Minuspunkt: Die Heizung wurde ab 23 Uhr ausgeschaltet, wodurch die Zimmer sehr kalt wurden. Eine zusätzliche Decke war leider nicht vorhanden. Das Frühstück war früher üppiger, frischer und enthielt deutlich mehr Selbstgemachtes. Dieses Mal war es zwar weniger besonders, aber dennoch akzeptabel und ausreichend.
