Guest Reviews
- LAURENCE (10/5): - Quick and easy check-in. Room very clean.
- Mark (10/5): - Great room, close to air base
- Troy (10/5): - We liked how safe it feels around here
- Verified traveler (10/5): - .
- Jake (10/5): - Awesome
- sjstak (10/5): OUTSTANDING STAY - Outstanding stay. Excellent staff who volunteered to help in so many different ways. Great complimentary breakfast to start the day with even made to order items. Free shuttle on base Osan on request. Room was nice. Layout of hotel was a bit unusual with a ramps and steps that made it a bit difficult for me to get around as I have limited mobility but, again, staff helped me as much as possible. If I were to come back to Songtan, this would easily be my hotel of choice.
- Mark (8/5): - My first time at the property and I enjoyed my stay
- ke (10/5): - Nice person, good breakfast. Easy shopping.
- Huan (10/5): - every thing
- Sai (10/5): - The staff is tremendous, especially the manager MR Kim …
- Steve (10/5): - Staff was great and breakfast nice!
- Bethanicole (10/5): - I always like staying here
- David (10/5): - The staff was very nice and check in/out was super easy.
- William (10/5): - Good place.
- Robert (10/5): - Very friendly. Everything was ready when we arrived. Spoke English well. 3 min walk to front gate (base cabs just inside gate for easy movement around base).
- Jon (10/5): - Excellent customer service!
- Chris (10/5): - Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast offered a great variety and flexible hours. I would stay here again and recommend for others.
- Kay (8/5): - Great breakfast service,
Clean maintenance service but
had moldy smell around the room, kind front desk service but little lack of knowledge about town service.
- Henry (10/5): - We were upgraded to a suite which was nice! Songtan isn’t the cleanest town in the world😎
- carl (6/5): - Old hotel, Staff is friendly. Old, dated hotel. Gym is a joke. Rooms smell of sewage. Checked out a night early, wasnt refunded unused night. Old hotel
- Timothy (8/5): - Although there was an issue with checking out my hotel early. I can’t fault the hotel for the fact I booked it thru Expedia. The owner of the hotel showed me nothing but patience and professionalism thru the whole process. Thank You!
Expedia on the other hand was trash and couldn’t provide me a receipt within a timely matter.
Also, if your gonna book with this hotel(which I would recommend). Go thru the official website.
- Anisa (10/5): - All hotel staff (including Manager Mr. Kim) were friendly and resourceful. The grounds are well maintained, the beds comfortable, rooms quiet, and located close to where we needed to be. We will alwats return to Asia Tourist Hotel when we visit Pyeontaek.
- Tabitha (6/5): - This is an older hotel( not a bad thing) in the Songtan area. It's right near the Entertainment district or SED so food isn't an issue. The water was hot and plentiful, room was clean, AC/Heating and air purifier all worked well.
My issue comes when checking in and speaking with the older male desk workers. I booked via expedia, noted down all the animals travelling with us and even called a few days prior about early check in. I was told all these things were fine.
The day of check in they didn't have an available room at the time I'd called to check if it was all right to check in. Our concierge also said that our reservation didn't include our dog which I knew was untrue. He complained about us checking in early and the dog to someone else on the phone. Assuming that neither of us understood korean. It was highly unprofessional and upsetting though I said nothing at the time to avoid conflict.
In that vein there's not a dedicated pet relief area. We were told to just walk her (the dog) in the parking lot where there were only small garden areas where she could do her business. I was highly uncomfortable with that given they were decorative and it simply felt wrong to allow my dog to piddle there.
Overall the convience of location near the base did not outweigh the negatives of the property.
- Peter (10/5): - My wife and I stayed at this great hotel for 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff are the friendliest you will find...they make you feel at home. Breakfast serviced every morning had lots of selection and was super nice (included in price). Rooms are spotlessly cleaned daily. Laundry is done by staff or you have self service laundry for free inside the hotel. Awesome stay. If at Osan Air Base Korea you should try to stay here....there is a reason why most of the guests are either military officers or Airline pilots and crew...they like the good stuff. Hotel is located in the shopping district and next to the Osan Air Base Gate. If you enjoy night life or eating out...they have everything within walking distance. The hotel is located 5 minute walk to the bus station and 10 minute walk to the train station. You are in the perfect hotel is you want to travel. Mr. Kim is (general manager) is super friendly and if you need a ride to the bus station or airport he will take care of you. He will also answer anything you might have questions about. Hotel has a very friendly atmosphere. If you stay here, please explore the hotel...they have water garden on the roof where you can relax and BBQ and massage chairs in the basement. Best Hotel Ever!!!!!
- Zahava (10/5): - I loved the service that was given, the men at the front desk, the breakfast ladies and the cleaning lady! They all were so nice and caring and they make you feel at home. A very clean and very nice hotel to stay at.
- Janet (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, the a/c was great, the bed was comfortable, there was a dorm frig, microwave, and extra sink in the good sized room. There is a restaurant with nice breakfast buffet onsite. It is very close to the Air Base. When my flight was delayed 24 hours, they let me checked right back in to my same room.
- Belinda (10/5): - It was clean and close to base! Breakfast was good and we were able to use the laundry! Would stay again!
- John (10/5): - The night desk person was friendly and very helpful. He made it is responsibility to make sure my wife and I were comfortable and happy with the room, which was very pleasant after a long flight and bus ride to Peongtaek. Breakfast in the morning was pleasant and relaxed. Good coffee. Great experience here at the Asia Tourist Hotel.
- Stephen (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay; convenient shopping and dining options, close to Osan AFB and not too far from Camp Humphreys. Staff was friendly, gym was ok, but the massage chairs were great! Botanical Rooftop Garden was a great meditation area, and the Rooftop Water Garden was under construction. I can't wait to see it when it is completed!
- Jamontae (10/5): - The property was very close to everything I needed!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel - Great experience. Staff was courteous, attentive, and helpful. Room was satisfactory, clean and bed comfortable. I would stay there again.
- David (8/5): - Great location. Old hotel but definitely one of the better places to stay in the area. Staff is excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A cozy hotel nestled in the heart of the Songtan Entertainment District. The facility is older but the comfy bed, staff, and location more than make up for the esthetics.
- magblock (10/5): Great for families - We stayed here when we first moved to Korea with our two young children. The rooms had everything we needed and the bathroom was very nice. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful. There is a cute rooftop area that was a nice place to stretch our legs when the late summer rains got bad.
- Daniel (10/5): Good Bang for the Buck!! - Nice overall room. Clean, convenient and quiet..
- Byrd (10/5): Home away from home 🏡 - Very peaceful and quiet stay; location is not far from Osan AB.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Home away from home. - One of my two favorite hotels when I visit Songtan. Nothing bad to say about this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel! Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This location is good for our needs. The hotel staff are excellent. The room was spacious and clean.
- RoyZ_12 (10/5): Great Hospitality - The Asia Hotel (formerly Benikea) in Songtan has become my go-to hotel in Korea. My last trip was a 2-day quick turn-around in late January. They responded within an hour and confirmed my email reservation request. I needed a projector for my training session which took place at another location. The Asia Hotel manager loaned me their projector with no questions asked. As always, great folks, great breakfast, comfortable, quiet room. Very accommodating. Highly recommend for business or pleasure.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place and breakfast...........................
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was big, could use some fresh paint on the walls.
The bed was very very comfortable. Close to many things
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel was clean and the service prompt and friendly. The breakfast was also good (coffee was a little weak for my taste but it was hot). My first choice if I ever go back to Osan AB.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - easy walking to shopping area. I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and will stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - As always, check in at the Benikea is quick with efficient and courteous staff. Room is clean, comfortable and quiet. Within short walking distance to convenience store and many restaurants.
- texashill (8/5): Nice stay! - My only “complaint” is that they have no alternative to the down/feather bedding/pillows. I have significant allergies to down. Most hotels have alternatives upon request. Many hotels have dedicated rooms for this. There is no alternative here and it was recommended to me that I wrap the pillows in towels.
That being said, the rooms are nice size. The beds are comfy. The air conditioner works well. There are chairs, a not-so-mini-fridge, desk... pretty much anything you’d need. And the location is nice.
Breakfast is great!!
Provide a down/feather bedding alternative and I’d give it a 5.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay again fo sho - No issues, great spot, great service.
- MooreJason (10/5): Amazing Hotel, with great Staff, Food, and Rooms! - One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff spoke good English and ensured I had everything I needed taken care of (laundry, transportation, water, and coffee). The room was spacious, clean, and had a large bathroom with nice towels. I was very impressed with the breakfast selection, and quality. I happened to stay here during the 2019 Hanoi Summit, and the staff was extremely nice and turned the TV onto an English station allowing all of us in the lobby to be able to understand the commentary from the Press Interview conducted after the Summit. Definitely the place to stay if you are in the local area.
- Steven A (8/5): - Furnishings were dated, but everything was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable, thanks for not skimping on that. Rooftop garden was very nice touch although it needs to be maintained better.
- Carl (8/5): - Good location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like the free breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly staff at a nice hotel within a 2 minute walk of the Osan AB main gate. Comfortable, clean rooms with speedy WiFi and a good breakfast included, but make sure you have them run some chemicals through the jacuzzi tub first if you plan to use it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - .Stayed here several times This time we used their conference room for a training session. it was perfect.
- Jan (10/5): Good choice for business in Pyeongteag - Mid-level hotel for westerners, clean, new bathrooms, great breakfast. Area is close to a US base, so the local shops and restaurants are prepared for English speaking customers.
- Mark (10/5): - it was very clean the staff was very helpful the breakfast was very good right near osan airforce base made every thing easy would stay there again
- Christopher (10/5): First visit to Osan - Surprisingly good hotel
- Kathe (10/5): - Nice hotel, close to shopping and restaurants. Great breakfasts!
- MJ (10/5): - This hotel had pleasant staff, comfortable rooms, a fitness room, good breakfast and convenient location to Osan Base and the bus depot.
- Tim (8/5): - Nice hotel, clean, a good basic "no frills" place to stay while in Pyongtaek and close to Osan Air Base. Free breakfast included and that was very good!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic hotel staff. They were very accommodating. Most can speak English well enough to communicate with Americans who do not know the language. The breakfast was excellent. Osan Air Base is only about a 5-minute walk.
- 432DavidC432 (10/5): Last minute decision - We weren't planning on staying here, but our other plans fell through. Location was good, the rooms were large and clean. The hotel is not new, but has had some recent updating. Breakfast was a nice surprise. They are used to dealing with Americans and many of the workers speak English. Hotel van available to drive you to train or bus.
- G (10/5): - Cool cool cool cool cool cool coool cool cool coool cooooooool
- JHamtigjr (10/5): Nice location from Osan AFB and Main gate and pretty room as well! - Osan AFB Turumi Lodge didn't have any rooms available so the front desk lady gave me a list and location of all hotels she said they "work" with. I was walking around to find a suitable hotel to stay for the night then I found Benikea Hotel. It's about 5 minutes walk from the main gate. It's a really nice hotel! The front desk clerk was really helpful and spoke decent english. I got me a room for less than $90 (93,800 Won). I got me a nice, single room with a queen sized bed, nice furniture, awesome 50" inch LED TV, and a huge bathroom!! The WiFi is pretty fast. The bed was really comfy. The view outside was alright but I didn't come for the view lol!! Oh they also have a nice sink area, fridge, and free toiletries as well! I say check this place out and you won't be dissapointed!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to Osan AB main gate. Lots of shopping and restaurants near by.
- JackieO'nasis (4/5): - Great logistics and breakfast, but that's about it. The staff at counter are beyond unfriendly, the hair dryer was broken, and the bidet was broken.
- 538coryh (10/5): Nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff - I consider myself fortunate that I secured lodging for my four-month business trip at Benikea Hotel Asia. They made my stay in Korea enjoyable and pleasant, and went-in my opinion-above and beyond what a relatively small Korean hotel would be expected to do. Aesthetically speaking, it is-from what I’ve heard-one of the nicer hotels near the SED (Songtan Economic District). With that being said, it’s distance from the heart of Songtan (approx 500 meters) makes it within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and other nightlife venues, but far enough away that you’ll not have your sleep interrupted by drunken shenanigans. The rooms are spacious with a small kitchen area (no stovetop, just microwave, sink, and frig), nice shower, and very comfortable bed. The top floor has a water garden/fountain which is perfect for enjoying a beer or two on the roof while observing the sunset/night.
Note for USAF folks: Within walking distance to base (5 min walk). Be advised: Benikea is not within the 75% flat rate. You’ll have to get an actual expense authorization from PACAF. And that’s after your host unit comm travel agency confirms that they cannot find rooms within the 75% rate.
-Blitz Halvorson
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Large, clean, quiet room. Had fridge, microwave, computer, DVD player and more.
- Haibacht (8/5): Nice hotel - Stayed here because the reviews were pretty good. Was not disappointed. Rooms were clean and comfy. Very modern. Have both 110 and 220 outlets so don’t need adapter. Blazing internet, big TV with a lot of channels. The breakfast buffet is very nice and the staff is amazing. In addition there are a lot of decent restaurants within walking distance. If you like shopping there are a lot of stores as well. Lastly it is within walking distance of Osan airbase. Would stay here again.
- johnfB6507CI (10/5): Great staff and location for a TDY to Osan - Super nice staff that go out of their way to help in any way they can. Only a minutes walk from both the walk in gate and Songtan shopping. Rooms are good sized but with super large jacuzzi type bathtubs.
Will be staying here for any future visits
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Rooms are a bit sparse but are a decent size with amazing bath tubs.
Will be staying here the next time I am in town
- 657paulak (10/5): Perfect for Osan Air Base visit - Stayed here for 7 nights and really enjoyed it. Everyone was friendly. Loved the bathroom. Everything was clean and orderly. Breakfast was wonderful with a fun mix of Asian and American. We loved this motel. Less than a 5 minute walk to the only walk in gate at Osan Air base. Highly recommend!
- jonc221 (6/5): Pretty basic, good breakfast - Here for a night. Very different type of room key - a metal plate that you insert from beneath the door knob, wait 1/2 second, then push further in, before twisting the door knob. I dunno - seems pretty archaic.
Room was OK, lighting could be improved, even though there were lots of light bulbs, but the light was pretty dim. perhaps they could increase the wattages of the light bulbs. Bed was comfortable enough though.
Didn't get a chance to check out the fitness room. However, the breakfast was not too bad. One could get the basic cereal, and salad stuff from the buffet table, and then order a hot item. The dumplings are recommended - steamed or fried are pretty good. Good selection of fruit juices too.
Location was pretty good, one could wander around the town - pretty safe.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to base and for a short stay works - When checking in staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was ok but I could smell exhaust fumes since my room faced the street and could hear the traffic below. Breakfast was overpriced for what you were getting and the shuttle was NOT free as advertised online. There wasn’t a ramp for you to pull luggage up so you had to open the door and carry it up four stairs. It was within walking distance to the base local resturants and shopping.
- I4827QQstevea (8/5): Decent hotel - Stayed here for two nights. Price was decent, staff was friendly. Only a 5 min walk to Osan AFB gate and the shopping and tourist area. Decor of hotel is dated. The rooms are very clean. I found the mattress to be to my liking. The free breakfast was good. It was served hot and minutes after ordering. I would give 5 stars if the hotel updated. I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Access to and from the hotel and the local mass transit station is quick and economical. The staff were friendly and professional during check-in and throughout the stay. They were also helpful regarding local knowledge of shopping and eating establishments.
- P3987JKjohns (8/5): Near Osan AB, good find. - I stayed here recently when visiting my son at Osan AB. It is very close to the gates, in a safe neighborhood, and very clean. The bed was fairly comfortable, room clean, wifi worked, and they included a breakfast, even though I had to ask about it. I would stay here again, near an AB, you don't get a lot of high end choices, this was a good solid find, a 3 star out of 5 on hotel ranking.
- E3424CYthomass (8/5): Good business hotel - Big comfortable queen size beds. Big TV with a few international channels.
The rooms are clean.
Supermarkets and the City, with all kind of local and international food are just a few steps from the hotel.
- CABS (10/5): Great place to stay in Songtan - Very friendly and helpful hotel staff...highly recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Songtan/Osan AFB.
- John (8/5): Good stay - This was a good hotel for being so close to base. Most hotels near base are not as nice. Not going to rate it top level, only because I've stayed in top level hotels, but for what it was, it exceeded my expectations. Oh yeah, breakfast is included, the price sign is just for walk ins.
- CABS (10/5): Great place to stay in Songtan... - I always stay at the Benikea when I'm in Songtan...best hotel in the area as far as I'm concerned, and I've stayed at most of the hotels in the area over the years. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful...very relaxing place to stay. I highly recommend the Benikea.
- Kim (6/5): Adequate if you are in the area for work - This hotel is very conveniently located next to Osan AB. It is an older hotel in major need of a renovation. The hotel staff is very friendly though. The complimentary breakfast is good also.
- scout266 (4/5): Roach motel - I'm staying here for business. Not my first time to this place--I stayed here 10 years ago.
The rooms and hallways smell old and musty. Old carpet in the rooms that is coming free at the walls resulting in big waves in the carpet. Who uses carpet in Korean hotels anymore anyway??
Old furniture--sort of like you would see in a grandparent's house. The beds are like sleeping on concrete. Stained walls and chipped paint.
The fitness center: this is total false advertising. 90% of the equipment (bikes, elliptical etc) didn't even work. It's in a downstairs basement and it's full of humid moist air.
I don't know if anything better exists outside the gate but you should maybe check air bnb.
Will never stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Hotel but.... - Stayed at this place for one night. This place was actually pretty great and much greater quality than most of the hotels nearby.
Pros:
-Double room was very spacious
-Deep bathtub was a jacuzzi. Great.
-Wifi speed/connectivity was fast.
-Pillows/bed was soft, comfy.
-Close to Osan AB
-Located in the Songtan Enterntainment District (SED)
Cons:
-Bathroom had mildew along the shower heads
-AC wasn't powerful enough to cover entire room
-Located in the Songtan Enterntainment District (SED)
-Price (Was not worth the $100 in my opinion)
Would I recommend?
If you are looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay, I would recommend. However if you're on a budget, there are cheaper hotels right around the corner for $30-50 a night.
Final rating:
4/5
- Marv (8/5): Decent Hotel but Overpriced - It's a decent place to stay if you are just putting your head down for the night. Would've rather stayed on Base but they were out of rooms. You could easily find a love motel for similar amenities and a much better price. Don't bother with the "fitness center" since its barely a step up from a poorly pieced together basement gym with a couple massage chairs. Overall not impressed for $110 a night.
- GetMeTraveling (6/5): Good, but could be better - I debated whether to give a 3 or 4 on this rating. The hotel had positives and negatives.
Positives - location, microwave/refrigerator, large tv screen with many channels, spacious room, great air conditioning, and very good made-to-order breakfast
Negatives - room was dated (especially bathroom), had a slight musk, bed wasn't very comfortable, had to on a search for my own iron and ironing board after calling and asking for one
All that being said, not bad, but not the best that could be done.
I would stay again.
- Clarence (8/5): Great location - The hotel is in a great location and is much nicer than some of the other hotels in the area.
- RavenATB (8/5): Nice hotel. - This is my second stay at the Benikea. I found the rooms to be clean and well-kept, hotel staff are pleasant and helpful, and the price is very fair.
Morning breakfast is served in the downstairs dining room. It is made to order, with a huge array of juices, fruits, and other offerings. The breakfast is at no charge, but tipping the serving staff in the restaurant is customary for those who frequent this hotel.
If you're in the area of Osan Air Base, this is a great hotel option.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good hotel for the area, staff is very friendly. Breakfast and laundry are good benefits.
- Scott (8/5): South Korea trip - Traveled for the first time to South Korea and was told to stay at Benikea Hotel Asia by the people at Osan Air Force Base. I found that the hotel was pretty nice, great breakfast, laundry services, and a great location close to the base. It was a great experience and would recommend for anyone working at the base or staying in the area. Many options for food close by and plenty of shopping. Lots of custom tailors and shops nearby.
- James (10/5): Little Smokey - Great hotel for the price, loved the breakfast that was part of the daily rate. Room was very accommodating and comfortable. My only fault I have was I asked for a non-smoking room. However, I could still smell smoke. If smoke really bothers you, you might have a little trouble.
- Jim (10/5): Good hotel, close to Osan AB - My wife and I stayed here over week of Christmas, and we had a great time. The room was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV was nice, and the bathroom was very nice and clean. Plus it's in a good location, right by Osan AB and the Songtan entertainment district, which has a variety of restaurants, bars/clubs, and shopping, not to mention it has sentimental value to us as the place we first met. We never tried the hotel's breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend it and stay again.
- Randy (10/5): Excellent place to stay and for a good price. - It was very good location in reference to the Airbase and the shopping market. The only issue I had was I was not able to take food out of the breakfast area when it says on the menu card that you can remove food at a price.
- RamakrishnaUH (10/5): Visit to pyeongtaek, South Korea - It is a good hotel and in an ideal location, Very close to many of the restaurants, descent shopping area and connectivity to local bus , Rail & Taxi services is very convenient,

- BrenSmart (6/5): Not bad - This hotel is OK. It's not nice, but it has basic amenities and is pretty clean. Hotel has a good western breakfast, which saved it from a 2 star rating. I'm not aware of better alternatives in the area. Not a pleasurable experience, but not bad either.
- Gabriella (6/5): Quaint and Convenient - Upon arrival one would believe it was a 5-star hotel with its elegant furniture and decor. After approaching the check-in counter, it was apparent they were behind in technology and undermanned in staff. It looked and felt like a little mom-and-pop place, I only saw 3 employees throughout my stay. When entering the room, I was shocked to see the size of the room itself. It did have all the usual amnemities: coffee pot, fridge, microwave, wifi... and even had a desktop computer in the room. The bed was less than desireable, hard boxspring without a mattress topper to provide any cushioning. Breakfast in the morning was quaint, made to order, but small in portions. The service was good. I had some trouble with my in-room wifi, but they were quick to send support to repair it. Overall, a decent stay.
- Wanchai (6/5): Convenient Hotel in Shopping Area - The hotel locates very near to Pyeongtaek International Market and restaurants around.
- JD (8/5): Convenient to base & to much World cuisine. - As a repeat guest, check-in is now a matter of seconds. Very friendly, helpful, and courteous staff. Great housekeepers and fantastic breakfast buffet workers.
- shelly (10/5): worth it - it was awesome for what I need.. close to Osan and the breakfast keeps you all day.. 24 hour store across the street and 5 min walk over the hill from the bus terminal that comes from Incheon airport
- emily (8/5): Nice location for shopping - Very polite, clean and close to the shops.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very convenient for work on Osan AB. - I've stayed here a couple of times before and it is always perfect for my business trips to Osan AB.
