Guest Reviews
- Kristina (10/5): Good spot! - Th staff were friendly and everything was very clean. Everything was right down the road from the hotel so we had anything we needed.
- RAYMOND (2/5): - No hot water, probably one of the worst stays we have had in a long time. Everything non functional!
- Carol (10/5): - Very nice slept and rested great
- Bonnie (7/5): Good -
- Jessica (4/5): Disappointing - That they had a pool and location and the nicely dressed office lady The fact that the other front desk people seemed to have a lot of friends hanging out that the pool area just seemed yucky and the salt filter the breakfast sucked the website and no hot tub room but they do have one
- Kirk (3/5): Poor -
- Janneane (10/5): - Very friendly and courteous staff immediately arranged a lower level room when requested. Great dining recommendations!
Hotel was clean and comfortable and felt safe.
- Faye (6/5): - The room seemed fairlty clean. The breakfast was not great. Scrambled eggs both mornings were so slimy wet, not tasty either. Saus links were not warm. Saus gravy was good but cool. Had to go 5o front desk & ask for washcloths after being told that we did not have. There were extra people with dog hanging around the hotel helping staff from time to time. Didnot have a profressional feel. This hotel nedds competition to make it better!!
- Paul (10/5): - It was very clean.
Staff is super friendly.
Nice breakfast.
Easy in and out.
- scottfY731HQ (2/5): Rooms not cleaned - Worst managed hotel i've ever been to. Arrived at 11:30 pm 7/9/25 and was given a room with 1 bed when I booked 2 beds. I was given a 2nd room and it wasn't cleaned, bedding stripped and wadded up on top of beds. I was given a 3rd room and it had NO towels and all of the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were empty. There was breakfast in the lobby the next morning with no utensils to eat with. I had to hunt around to find forks and there were so many flies it was like eating at an outdoor barbecue. The pool was cloudy and had a strange film on top of the water. We didn't swim out of fear of dissentary or denge fever or some other water born illness. Whomever owns and manages this place should get into a different business.
- Colin (6/5): Pleasant -
- O5874IWvanessan (10/5): Good Overnight Reset - Breakfast was very nice. The pool was very refreshing, slightly heavy on chlorine, but still very nice. The rooms were beautiful & the staff was very friendly & accommodating.
- Duane (6/5): Pleasant - A place to sleep that was okay. It is not very well managed. Arrived and rooms not cleaned yet. Out of towels. Seems like people living in some of the rooms. Staff
- Dawn (6/5): - The property
- George (6/5): - Room was clean and tidy. Staff was overwhelmed by the time we checked in. Only one person cleaning rooms so our room had no soap, conditioner or shampoo. The lock on the bathroom door did not lock. The volume on the controller did not work. Overall an ok stay. I would give it another chance. Just think it was honestly an off day for the hotel.
- Bonnie (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Great place will diffantly be back - Great room and pool and great staff Wish TV was smart TV but I still enjoyed the channels
- Amy (6/5): Review score isn't accurate - This place needs a deep cleaning. The bedding and bathroom were clean. I've stayed here many times. Every time I've stayed, there's been a sign on the pool door stating "pool closed for maintenance" There's no elevator, the time before when I stayed there I mentionef I couldn't believe no elevator.(I have a very bad back) The lady replied and said "we have a pool instead". Seriously?
The staff is friendly enough. They look exhausted and overworked.
While checking for bedbugs(I do this everywhere I stay) the area behind the mattress on the box springs dust ruffle behind the mattress was gross. Very.
They try to do the best they can. I will say Ive experienced one lady who works there and she usually makes you feel like she's doing you favor checking you in. The walls in the rooms and common areas need painted. Bad. Instead they invested in a "bar" next to the front desk. I sound petty. I just can't ignore this anymore. I believe the 8.6 is very misleading The only reason I continue to stay is because it's better than other place in town. Oh, one time I booked online, arrive and was told they're sold out. But then she looked at the computer forever and finally said they had one. I personally think they just didn't want more guests because they aren't used to accommodating a full house.
My last stay was not great.
Also, when I arrived I had to wait for the front desk lady to finish her cigg out front. She deserves a break. But come on!
The coffee is descent.
- Dustin (5/5): Passable - Rooms are good places clean.Good breakfast in the kiosk Seems like I've been waiting for a month now for me.My son to go swimming up there.Because the poles then down and it don't make Since for to be down this long.
- spicuzza (2/5): - Not a very good place
- Marcia (7/5): Good -
- Jimmy (6/5): - Dont like complaining but pool was down, (had kids with us to go swim) door to room wouldnt shut without force, refridge was shut off so it took awhile to get cold, batroom sink faucet was loose in the countertop, and the toilet lid wouldnt stay up without holding it and for a man that is an issue ...Not bashing hotel just stating the facts.
- Susan (7/5): Disappointing - Location We were not given the correct room but were charged for it
- James (10/5): - Comfortable room and clean
- James (2/5): - Checked in at 955pm and didn’t get a room until 1155pm. Still dirty linen in room and we had a bed with no comforter.
- Bonnie (7/5): Good -
- Rodney (4/5): - We were supposed to be able to check in at 3pm, we didn’t arrive until 4pm and we still had to wait an hour to get our room. The worst part was having to listen to the desk clerk complain about the housekeeping staff…. Things happen, don’t openly complain about the hotel staff in front of customers. Have some integrity.
- Theresa (6/5): Pleasant - The pool was not in working condition
- Q7360RYjohnh (4/5): Not the best - The bed was full of some kind of stuffing . Good thing I had a lent roller with me.. Didn’t like the brand of coffe. Breakfast wasn’t the best. Ran out of several breakfast items. Could smell the chlorine from the pool in our room. Very strong odor. Have stayed there before but was very dissatisfied this time.
- Zieseniss (10/5): Exceptional -
- CindyY724 (10/5): nice stay - The room was good size. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast area was a bit small, but there was a variety of food items that were offered, and our room was plenty big enough to eat in. It was in a great location and easy to find. The parking lot was lit up very well at night.
- Marc (2/5): -
Desk staff couldn't access computer to check me in. I reserved two king rooms and only got 1 and it was handicapped accessible room.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Was a decent place for suchba small town, will definitely be back again
- Melinda (8/5): - Very clean property and room. Felt rushed checking in, but the clerk was pleasant. Checking out was better. Overall, good for the price.
- Jonathan (6/5): - Stayed here a few years back and really liked it. This time, not so much. Bed sheets had stains, the room had an odd stench and so did the hallway. AC did not work. Not sure what happened to this hotel but its definitely went downhill in my opinion.
- Geri (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and Accommodating. Rooms clean. The indoor pool clean but I was expecting a heated pool but the kids enjoyed it.
- Jessie (6/5): - Overall it was okay. But with an “excellent” rating, I expected more. The issues listed are more informative than complaints so other people know what to expect. The room and lobby were very clean. But the pool area had black mold around the windows and on the floor tiles. The pool was not heated, which was very disappointing. The breakfast area is very small. Only one person at a time can get food from the sections and there weren’t many food options. There was a very strong marijuana smell more than once both near the lobby and upstairs near our room. Overall it was okay, but I expected more from all of the reviews I read.
- Global528245 (6/5): Good, but not great. - The room was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the stairwell carpet was very dirty and smelled like Febreze covering cigarette smoke. The breakfast area was lacking. No fresh fruit and the orange juice machine was out of juice. Overall it was just Ok.
- Catherine (8/5): - The hot water needs to be hotter. My shower never got above luke warm. Tried a bath but the water was cold by the time I got in. The pool area was too hot to enjoy. The water was fine and clean. But between the heat and the humidity I couldnt breathe in there. I was charged an almost 70.00 surcharge when I checked in and have no idea what it is for. Wasn't told about it before I was charged. Not on the Expedia receipt. Haven't been charged that before when we stayed there. Front desk staff says it will it won't actually post and will roll off in 24 hours. It still shows pending 4 days later. Room was clean and plenty of room. Room smelled musty and vaguely like it had been smoked in. No elevator. Only stairs. Parking lot is tight. Convenient to a coffee shop, pizza place, Mexican restaurant within walking distance. Wal-Mart shopping center very close. Convenient store/fuel/atm close. The hotel "convenience store" area needed to be restocked. Check out was quick and easy.
- Julie (10/5): - This is a nice little hotel. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom sparkling! Breakfast area is small but cheese omelette very good for free breakfast! Front desk people very friendly. Would stay again!
- Edwin (2/5): - The toilet was broken (I had to keep the lid off the back of the toilet and manually flush) and clearly it had been broken for awhile. The drain in the bathtub wouldn’t drain so I had to stand in dirty water while showering, the body wash container was empty so I had to get a bar I’d soap from the front desk. The breakfast options were terrible.
- Dustin (6/5): - I come most of the staff is very family friendly and accommodating just seem to be getting double charged a lot and then charged for a day I didn't stay with issues resolved quick enough but it seem to be pretty willy-nilly about charging your card
- B1429REkarenh (8/5): Fair Stay - The pillows are terribly uncomfortable. The breakfast was awful. And there were people hanging around the back entrance, propping the door open with a rock. Felt a little uncomfortable.
On the upside, our room was very clean. They have replaced some mattresses, but they are not nearly as comfortable.
- 964lorettat (4/5): Waste of money - We didn't enjoy our stay. The ONLY
reason we booked this hotel was so my daughter could swim. The worker said the pool has been broken since MAY! But they didn't say anything about that when I called, it's still advertised as one of the amenities, (false advertising). It was a complete waste of money! Also no elevator and the heat/air makes a horrible noise the whole time it's on. Breakfast was...ok.
- Dustin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dustin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (10/5): - Great
- Angela (10/5): - Will definitely stay again
- Barbara (10/5): - Very nice, clean place with great breakfast bar
- Jessica (2/5): Very poor - The price The pool was dirty and cold.
The breakfast was unediable.
- Krystal (10/5): - Clean
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Very nice room at great price. Breakfast items were not refilled.
- Marc (9/5): Superb -
- Perdomo (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast bar was awesome compared to other places. They had Corbins Waffles. Which are great! Scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, fruit, & juices. I was impressed can you tell? I would definitely go back if I was in the area.
- nancyreneeh (8/5): Decen but there is room for improvement - The room was clean. The staff was nice and pleasant. The carpet was a little ratty looked like a pet at scratched it nearly bare at the door. The pool was cold and a little dirty. The Tv was advertised as smart but all we were able to watch were the channels on Direct Tv and you could not adjust the volume. Even had staff come and look at it and they could not adjust the volume either. We were only there 2 nights so these were minor inconveniences. The continental breakfast was decent. Check the date on the boiled eggs.
- Diane (10/5): - The hotel itself was nice. The pillows were not as comfortable so you might consider bringing your own. They had a nice breakfast
- Pamela (10/5): - Very clean. Staff professional and friendly. Very accommodating.
- Riggs (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great! The rooms were exactly what we needed! The pool was freezing so didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted.
- Rialey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paris (6/5): I would stay again but not plan on eating the breakfast. - Great value and the family enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was barely edible. Very stale bread and English muffins. The milk tasted off. The eggs had too much pepper and the sausage patties were tough. Waffles and coffee were good.
- Rialey (9/5): awesome - breakfast upstairs
- James (10/5): Over all it was a very pleasant stay. - We had a handicap room and it had a real big walk in shower with bench and hand held shower. The only thing I think could stand improvement is to put the shower curtain a little further inside the shower so the water doesn’t run out on the floor.
- Michael (10/5): - Amazing folks very friendly
- Rialey (10/5): Exceptional -

- k11622016 (10/5): Great Customer Service - Summer was a great helping us with our booking and was very pleasant and so easy to work with. What a great employee! Cobblestone Hotel in Salem is a great place to spend the night. Very nice accommodations. We will be booking a room anytime we are in the Salem area in the future.
- Wanda (10/5): Best stay. - My check in was super easy. Gentleman was sweet and let me ramble on about my mothers death, which is why we were in town. Its was close to closing time for the pool when we got there and he extended the time a little so we could try to relax.
- Kevin (7/5): Good - It was really clean and everyone was friendly even the people staying was nice. The heat/air unit was very noisy like the fan was going bad. Room 110.
- Radke (8/5): Very good - Staff was nice , pool was not heated . Even after checking with staff who stated they fixed it several times The facilities sucked
- Lisa (10/5): - It was very nice property. Everyone was nice. Loved the mini fridge and microwave.
- Scott (8/5): Nice overall but breakfast could use some upgrades. - Nice clean rooms, did have a pool, people seemed friendly, and dog friendly ( saw several people with animals) The breakfast wasn't good at all. Went down right at 7 am when things should be just served for a weekend day. prepacked danishes like you'd get from the day old bread store and same with the bagels. the eggs were cold and the sausage was nasty. the seating was very limited with 3 tables for a 2 story hotel.
There isn't an elevator which is a problem for people with mobility problems.
- William (10/5): wonderful - everything nothing
- Robert (8/5): - This hotel was a great choice. The restaurant across the street was excellent and had delicious food. The waiter was exceptional. The price of Cobblestone was reasonable. The employee at the desk was very helpful.
- Donna (9/5): Superb - The Breakfast was hot and centrally located for Everyone's enjoyment. Great celection I enjoyed My stay so there wasn't anything I didn.t like
- cathymX4250WF (10/5): Great Hotel! - This is such a great hotel. The rooms, the breakfast area are all very clean. The bed sleeps very well. The breakfast was just enough to tie you over for a late lunch. The coffee was the best coffee we have had at a hotel. The lady running the show was very busy though. She was helping checking in and out and guest requesting towels or whatever and she was keeping up with the breakfast crowd all with a smile on her face. She was the greatest! I wish I could remember her name. But she was there every morning we were there from 10/18 through 10/21. We love this hotel and will definitely book again next year. Thank you for a clean and comfortable hotel!
Cathy
- Emma (8/5): A great value for the experience I got! - The staff was super friendly and helpful! It was very clean. The beds weren’t my favorite and there was an advertisement for safes in every room, but ours didn’t have one.
- Pam (10/5): - This is my second time and i will also use it next year! Loved everything !
- Schoech (5/5): Passable -
- Tonya (6/5): - Very loud there. Did not get a good sleep. Yapping dog next door. Had to call the front desk.
- wendy (10/5): - Check-in was very nice. Everyone is so friendly there. It was a great property to stay up for a couple days. My son enjoyed the pool. They were always helpful with anything that I needed. Definitely will come back and highly recommend.
- Hall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kendra (6/5): Pleasant - We liked the location, the bed was kind of stiff. The room was clean after we got our room. Was a little unhappy when we got there at 7 pm our room wasnt ready and so luckily we hadnt ate dinner yet and went and ate and came back and our room still wasnt ready so they gave us a different room. Overall experience was good. Nice pool salt water I do believe.
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - Front area was nice ,friendly staff Room had a musty smell. Pool was very dirty
- Judy (8/5): Very good - Very pleasant and helpful employee assisted with making our stay comfortable Tonya was willing to help ensuring our needs were met by replacing the TV in our room as soon as it was reported to not be working...Shout out to Tonya and thank you so much!!
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - EV charger has not worked in months. I specifically booked the hotel to be able to charge my car, but it doesn’t work and hasn’t worked. If they aren’t going to take the time to fix it, then take it off as an amenity.
- Kip (9/5): right on its awesome - everything nothing
- Kelly (7/5): Good - Bed comfortable The air conditioner was EXTREMELY loud! We drive for 15 hours and was looking forward to getting some sleep. The unit was so loud when it kicked on it woke me up EVERY TIME. It was louder than TV! Very disappointing! When I told front desk person she couldn't have cared less....
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good - No. Jacuzzi
- James (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): - Nice quiet facility and convenient to dining choices.
- June (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): - I had reserved my room through hotels.com, and this apparently confuses the staff at the hotel who I checked in with. This has happened previously. I presented my credit card for incidentals, but ended up getting charged again for the room by doing so, even though I'd already paid for the room prior to coming down. The manager resolved the issue the following morning, and I'm grateful to her for taking care of it. But, ideally this problem should be rectified with the staff I checked in with so that this doesn't happen again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We have stayed at this location many times over the years because we have family in Salem and this is the only game in town, but no more. We will drive elsewhere going forward. The property is in a state of disrepair and is just plain dirty. And, please note, there is NO elevator in this building, so pack accordingly. You will be carrying your bags upstairs.
- Howell (9/5): Superb - Everything was almost exactly as expected. I really look fwd to lotion in the rooms as part of the travel hygiene supplies. Mostly sue to the shampoo and body soaps dry my hands out.
- Damon (10/5): - Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms
- Thomas (10/5): Clean Property. Nice stay - Very clean. Breakfast just ok. Passed the cleaning lady the morning on the way to breakfast and no acknowledgment from her. At least give eye contact and say good morning. Still left a tip as the room was clean. Would stay again.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicky (9/5): Superb -
