The hotel itself is beautiful the rooms are spacious and very clean. They have a great restaurant there that is delicious and charming to eat in! It just doesn't taste as good. It could be the brand coffee though. Room service quality depends on who is working.

C3621OFangief (10/5): Delightful and Unique - We were in the area visiting colleges with my teenage daughter and chose the Proximity Hotel for a one-night stay. It was a fantastic choice! The design is modern and unique and we loved all the details in our large room - the robes, Aveda bath products and hot water kettle for coffee in the morning. If we had known how great this hotel was we would have stayed another night. We enjoyed Sunday brunch at the Print Works Bistro before departing and can report that the beignets and avocado toast are delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the area - it was a real treat!

alisonhM1737QD (10/5): A little piece of bliss. - If you need to be in Greensboro for any reason, stay here. Seriously. Stop looking, pay a little extra, and you won't be disappointed. I've traveled around the country a lot and this is one of the best places I've ever stayed. The staff was kind and professional, the rooms are immaculate and well appointed, and the food in the restaurant was sublime. (I have years of fine dining experience, and this place blew my socks off.) Every little detail in this hotel is thought out, from the little coat racks built into the beams in the restaurant, to the aveda soaps and shampoos in your bathroom, to the bluetooth speaker systems built into the rooms, floor to ceiling windows, filtered water machines on each floor, gourmet teas and coffee in your room ... I could go on and on. I rarely write reviews, but I had to share how wonderful this place is. Thank you for a perfect stay!

The hotel lobby is beautiful to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The attached restaurant has a charming atmosphere with delicious food. Our room was large and we joked that we had enough seating to entertain friends in our room. The layout of the room and storage is very well thought out. There is a microwave and mini refrigerator. I always appreciate a magnifying mirror in the bathroom and a dressing area with an outlet outside the bathroom so I can do my hair. Would love to stay here again!
Louise (8/5): Lovely hotel, would stay again - but please turn the music down! - The staff were so friendly, room was lively, loved the little sitting rooms on each floor with water available. Lovely decor, restaurants very nice! The music is playing 24/7 in all areas inside and outside of the property. At times it is almost impossible to concentrate. I was there for work and I had to move to work in my room instead in the common areas or restaurant. (We did ask for it to be turned down at one point)

ginath2017 (10/5): Great Hotel with Fantastic Staff - The staff at the Proximity are top notch. Even with the snow/ice storm all of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The rooms are lovely and spacious. They were also very clean and quiet. The onsite restaurant Printworks was wonderful. The food and staff were great. We live local and were at the hotel over my mom's 85th birthday celebration. We have never stayed here before but can't wait to come back again.
Leetham (8/5): For Greensboro - Location excellent. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Nice rooms and areas within hotel - significantly better than anywhere else I have stayed in Greensboro. Description on Booking.com wasn’t always correct. Eg on booking.com it says you can have a bath or shower but reality is that there was only a shower. The prices for meals on Booking.com were incorrect. The staff were very helpful at letting me know what they had/hadn’t got and yes I could get breakfast items for a similar rate. But really they should honour what is shown on the confirmed booking. Small details but just a few comforts missing in room - shampoos etc, tea/coffee provided were really for 1 person and not 2. Yes they gave me more when I asked. Spoon for making tea/coffee would be helpful - wooden stick quite hard for coffee bags. Equally more milk required. Bin in main room and not just near loo would be a good idea (another one provided later in stay).

It was very quiet and room darkening drapes created a peaceful environment for sleeping. The front desk team was welcoming and efficient. We had a great meal at the adjacent restaurant, Print Works Bistro, and the coffee available in the lobby was really great! Our stay was just a quick overnight, but we would definitely return when visiting Greensboro.

Roomy rooms wonderful bathrooms. restaurant open daily with weekend brunch, welcoming staff, easy registration and checkout just a delightful experience overall. The communal space on every level provides casual meeting space for family and friends and even business meetings if needed. Just a delight.

702roser (10/5): Great Stay in Greensboro - I just want to share my experience at this very lovely hotel. From the moment I walked through the door upon arrival and upon my departure my stay was wonderful I was in town for a funeral so these were sad circumstances. But nonetheless, the hotel is very centrally located near many stores and restaurants. It also has a highly rated restaurant on the grounds called Print Works Bistro. I did not go to this restaurant but did order a turkey dinner that was delicious from Room Service (which comes from the restaurant). All staff are friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully appointed and immaculate. At night in the lobby the gardens outside are lit up and just gorgeous looking from high up. All in all, I would recommend this very nice hotel if you are in the Greensboro area. Also check out Benjamin Park or The Bogs- a very nice area to walk around in natural surroundings with beautiful trees. A very peaceful place to de-stress and re-new your spirits

57j2 (10/5): Saved our 35th Anniversary celebration! - We've been frequent visitors to Greensboro since our son went to UNCG. We had been here for the NC FolkFest over a weekend at another hotel that was close to the festival, with intentions of continuing to Kitty Hawk for 3 nights to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Unfortunately, checking the weather while out for dinner on the last night before moving on showed multiple warnings for the area, including severe thunderstorms, gale force winds, and 1-2 foot water level risings from Hatteras Island to north of Kitty Hawk. We immediately decided to cancel all those plans, and my wife was very disappointed. I did some research and called a few higher level hotels in the Greensboro area, but all would bust the budget for us or had no availability, until I called The Proximity Hotel and spoke with Maria in guest relations. After relaying our story, she proceeded to ask a number of questions as to what accommodations we would desire, what our budget could afford, etc. To our surprise, she was able to get us into a King Loft Spa room, which had a large soaking tub (for my wife), and separate tiled shower (for me), dual vanity sinks, and on an upper floor on the back side of the hotel where it was very quiet. In addition, she emailed me 3 recommendations for spas (we had booked a spa day on the Outer Banks), and we were able to book the same services even though it was short notice. Throughout our stay we were treated like royalty, starting with our check-in and throughout our stay. The service all around is top-notch and just as good as any luxury hotel we've stayed at anywhere. The Printworks Bistro is an incredible restaurant onsite, with selections to please every palate. An added surprise was that we realized the first night we went down to the Bistro we had actually booked one of their private rooms for our son's graduation in 2017! We had absolutely no negative encounters with anyone on staff or any requests that weren't taken care of immediately. From Maddox and Darby at the front desk to Dustin at the door and Alyssa at the Bistro (and everyone else we ran into on staff but can't remember their names), everyone made sure we had the most pleasant stay. On the ride home my wife and I commented how we never felt that changing plans and staying at the Proximity was in any way disappointing. The only thing we missed was the sound of the ocean. We will definitely stay at the Proximity again when we're back in town.
