The hosts are kind and interesting people, you are steps from the very charming town of St. Peray (which has infinitely more going for it than the other ‘wine towns’ in the area). Enjoyed a lovely dinner at La Ruche, and was told that the nearby Auberge is also a fun family destination. La Saudade is the embodiment of a lovely chambre d’hotes - clean, unpretentious, interesting old home, and is also personal and memorable! Recommend!
• Miguel (8/5): - Vriendelijke ontvangst, zeer ruime kamer, er is in de buurt voldoende restaurants om iets te kunnen eten. Ideale tussenstop op onze doorreis naar Spanje
• J.G. (10/5): Fantastische gastvrouw - Wij werden fantastisch onthaald. Door blokkades op de snelwegen, kwamen wij laat aan! De poort ging open en we werden hartelijk welkom geheten. De mooiste kamer was die avond voor ons, omdat we zoveel reisvertraging hadden. Naast advies voor een goed restaurant hadden we een goed ontbijt. Mede dankzij de uitgebreide dialoog werd de betaling simpelweg vergeten. Dat hebben we later samen opgelost. Echt een heerlijk Frans adres!
• Anne (10/5): - Das Haus ist sehr schön, die Schlafzimmer grosszügig mit einer tollen Badewanne. Die Eigentümerin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Früstück war in Ordnung

• richard (6/5): Not really an Hotel, more a valiant attempt. - This is difficult to describe. The plus points are that the linen is excellent, the breakfast great, and the room large. This is a very large house that has been converted into guest accommodation, one would suspect by incredibly well meaning and enthusiastic people who care a lot, but who havnt themselves traveled that much. We arrived at 15:40 to find the place bolted shut. It seems that 17:00 is not just check in time, it is " don't even expect to park here and have a cup of tea" time! Given the location timing the arrival via highway to this level of accuracy is something of a fine art. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. However, try and steer away from the two in the attic. They are so shaped that only a child under five can walk in 50% of them, making the size somewhat pointless. The bathroom isn't a room, it's a zone with a small jacuzzis. A shower unit would be more practical, especially given that Sophie, who is charmingly apologetic, asks that you don't use it after 9 because of the noise. You also need to be a small mountain goat, or at least share some genes with one, to access the rooms. The common areas are large but sparse in the way that can only really be described as somewhat bleak. The car parking is very safe, but oddly shaped so that once three cars are in it is full and difficult to get in or out of the gate. Sophie tries, bless her, to make you as welcome as she can, but she is up against things
• Martijn (10/5): Heerlijk eind van de vakantie - We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen, rondgeleid door eigenaar Ludovic. De kamer was fantastisch, heel ruim, smaakvol ingericht met bubbelbad ( gebruik tussen 9.00 - 22.00)Ludovic heeft voor ons een restaurant gereserveerd waar we heerlijk hebben gegeten met verrukkelijke wijnen uit de streek.Ontbijt wordt geserveerd in gezamenlijke ruimte, gezellig en met verse producten, fruit, home made jam en op verzoek bereid roerei. Uitgezwaaid door de eigenaren en hun kat gingen we weer op weg naar huis. Het was een heerlijk eind van onze vakantie!

Mais il manque quelques détails qui contribueraient à justifier un prix un peu élevé : une desserte pour poser une trousse de toilette dans la salle de bains, une chaise pour déposer ses vêtements et une desserte où poser une valise autre que le sol !

• Nel (10/5): Exceptional hotel - We were very impressed with this hotel which we stayed at for one night on our way to Belgium from the Cote D'Azure. The house was lovely and we were met very graciously by the owner, who was very pleasant and welcoming. She informed us we could get an upgrade and we ended up having a lovely spacious suite. The rooms were clean and immaculate and the bed was very comfortable with crisp linen sheets and pillow cases. We had a very nice continental breakfast with a good choice of breads and preserves. We would certainly recommend it for more than one night. It is near several restaurants in Saint Peray. We ended having a nice meal at the restaurant which was recommended by the owner which was under ten minute walk away from the hotel.

L'accueil est chaleureux, simple et efficace. Les propriétaires sont à votre écoute et à ceux de vos besoins. Vous êtes à 10 min de Valence en fonction du chemin que vous prenez, mais on va donnera toutes les bonnes infos pour que vous ne perdiez pas de temps. Très belle maison d'hôtes très bien tenue et joliment décorée avec simplicité met beaucoup de goût. C'était tellement une bon moment que j'y retourne à nouveau cette semaine. N'hésitez pas, vous serez enchantés !

• Melanie (10/5): A perfect escape - We were looking for a comfortable layover on our way to the provence. This b&b is a wonderful gem, hidden away behind a big gate you wouldn't expect the carefully renovated rooms, the exquisite style and the amazingly friendly hosts. The breakfast was included and far more than you would get in an ordinary French hotel plus prepared with much love to detail. We also thouroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room :)
