Guest Reviews
- Helen M (10/5): - I would recommend this property for the entire experience of being close to Yellowstone without crowds. The owner let us eat dinner early as we mentioned we hadn't eaten since breakfast. Accommodating, friendly, home cooked dinner and breakfast. Cabin was immaculate. Lodge is perfect for gatherings like family reunions, etc. Quiet and peaceful. You won't be disappointed.
- David (10/5): Not far from Yellowstone's East Entrance - This cabin met all of our needs for our Yellowstone trip - close proximity to the park's East entrance, clean cozy cabin to come back to after a long day of exploring the park, easy check in & check out. We did not spend much time on site to use all amenities but there is a nice game/social room, meal options, & nice porches attached to each cabin. We would recommend staying at Creekside.
- Deborah (10/5): - The owners are wonderful.. not to mention great cooks!!
- Mary (10/5): - What a beautiful cabin we had.was in a secluded area, very beautiful, & owners were great host
- Tina (10/5): - Nice stay, very clean. The owners are super nice
- Glendora (10/5): Great place to stay!! - Creekside Lodge at Yellowstone might get their name for the creek that runs on on side of the property. Diana was very accommodating and worked with us on our very late arrival. Our cabin was left with the lights on, and unlocked, which was perfectly safe. The lodge us located 10 miles from the park entrance, and it is a pleasant drive. Every morning you have the option of a home cook breakfast to order from 4 or 5 choices. The breakfast was delicious. I don't drink coffee, and they provided me with hot water for my tea, and my husband with a coffee maker so he could drink his coffee to his liking. They do offer coffee and caffeinated tea with breakfast. Maid service is not offered daily, but if you need to refresh your towels or anything else in your cabin, Diana will take care of you. There is a bar of which all I know is that they close at 8pm. We did not use it, so can't give much detail, just that I saw they had wine and mixed drinks. There is also a game room that is open 24 hours, in which you will find different types of games, a pool table, a couple of tables with chairs, a bathroom, and a living area with a TV. Dinner is offered when there are enough guests interested on it. Diana made a delicious tri trip with baked potato and broccoli. We had to leave very early, so we dropped off our keys in the key box. They answered all our questions and made great suggestions, and informed us that the grizzly bears had been very active and to be careful. Would stay here again!
- LYNE (8/5): - The property was in a very rustic setting. It was very relaxing. The staff was amazing Breakfast and dinner were available there as well. Great place to stay
- Tracy (10/5): - The hosts and staff were absolutely amazing. Thank you xx
- Bradley (10/5): - Very nice people
- michael (8/5): Cabin in the mountains - Cabin with no room cleaning service. Its a drive to eat but its close to Yellowstone national park. We liked it. Bears and wildlife all around your cabin. Pretty neat.
- John (10/5): - Outatanding location just off road to the park. Cabins are rustic, but very clean and well maintained. Nice deck and game room spaces for socializing with other guest. Great breakfast service at an additional charge (but very reasonable).
Host/owners are super friendly and attentive to customer needs.
- Daniel (10/5): Great place for couples. - Great option for couples! Very cute cabin. Very nice owners. The drive into yellowstone is very easy and super pretty. Hard to find anything reasonably priced in the park so this place was great. The only remarks are the rooms dont have microwaves (there is one in shared room)or coffee makers, wifi didnt work for us and no AC (heater only) But overall a great find.
- Lindsay (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer! - Creekside Lodge was a great place to stay between days in Yellowstone! Diana was very friendly and the service was great, the cabin was clean and tidy with good water pressure and the sound of a stream through the windows. The cabins are vintage but sturdy and comfortable. We were too tired to partake in the game room and too eager to get back to looking for critters to stay for breakfast, but both looked like great options. If we had more time I would have loved to stay there longer. Thank you!
- Drew (10/5): - Dianna runs a wonderful little oasis just 10 miles past the east entrance. As southerners, we appreciate the hospitality and beauty and plan to stay again next time we visit Yellowstone!
- Kris (8/5): Very rustic - Rustic cute little cabin. Pros-owner was very nice and accommodating, cabin was clean.
Cons-wifi virtually non existent, bed wasn't comfortable, too squeeky, very remote, quite expensive for what there was.
- Kody (8/5): - Very quiet and cozy. Probably the nicest staff I’ve ever met during a stay somewhere. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Cabin was nice but as a taller guy it was a tight fit. I had to use the bathroom in the main building as I couldn’t fit on the toilet in our cabin. The cabins also got a bit stuffy and warm but opening the windows cooled it down nicely. The property was also very close to the east entrance of Yellowstone and the price was excellent. Overall a great stay! Would definitely stay again!
- Terry (10/5): - Allok
- Ben (10/5): - My son and I had the most incredible stay at Creekside Lodge during our Yellowstone adventure. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The lodge is perfectly tucked away in nature, offering peaceful surroundings while still being close to everything we wanted to explore in the park.
- Kate (10/5): - Wonderful place & very kind workers! Great location near Yellowstone - we never had traffic getting into the park entrance & our lodge was so quiet and cozy.
- Elzbieta (10/5): - Very nice and cozy. Very close to Yellowstone Park. We had a blast!
- Henry (10/5): - Had a great time staying here the staff there were very friendly and answered any questions i had over the phone. Great place to stay if you want to get into west Yellowstone early, it’s still a ways away from major attractions but cheaper than anything within the park and closer than most lodgings outside this side of the park.
- Karel (6/5): - We reserved a “deluxe” cabin. The cabin however was just a large room of a cabin, with a small attached bathroom (shower was a plastic “tube” you had to fold into.) room had very little furniture just the bed, 2 wooden chairs, a very small table, 1 night table and lamp; no place comfortable to sit. Bed linens were quite old. There was no housekeeping we had to request clean towels and to have the garbage removed
Location was lovely in the mountains, but the porch for our use was right on the parking lot, the view of the creek was obscured by a large propane tank. Manager was very sweet and lent us bear spray for a walk around the property
- John (8/5): - It's cozy and clean. The stuff is very friendly. Only downside is there's no wifi or signal in your room.
- Karen (10/5): - It was a very quaint little cabin in the woods with a cozy feeling. No TV, just quiet and nice!
- JAMIE (10/5): - If you want to feel part of nature, without being in a tent, this is the place for you. For four of us (two being pre-teen girls) this worked out nicely for four nights going in and out of Yellowstone. By staying in this area you get a unique view of the park that you would otherwise not see. The owners were very nice and accomodating.
- Paul (8/5): Rugged & Friendly - Sweet lady running the place.
Excellent price and location.
Unique enough to be hard to compare to others around.
Food not always available.
Bed was so so.
Parking was odd.
WiFi very sketchy.
I’d still stay there again.
- Robert (10/5): - Great location close to Yellowstone. Friendly staff, nice cabins, great breakfast. Quiet and perfect vacation location
- Constance (10/5): I finally made it! - I waited 2 years after moving to Wyoming for work before being able to make it to Yellowstone. My cabin was so roomy and very comfortable and being so close to the east entrance saved so much driving time to get to the park each day.
- tom (8/5): - Very private setting in the woods near the eastern entrance to Yellowstone.
- Dina Cheung (10/5): - We cane late but the check in was easy and fast, we wrote beforehand to make sure we had a place. Diana was very helpful and let us borrow a bear spray for our hikings. The place is a bit far from the Yellowstone national park (1 hour) but it was a beautiful drive. There was some internet but we liked that we were a bit more outside. We enjoyed playing pool and our carbin which was very cozy :-)
- joyce (2/5): - No toilet paper. Toilet did not flush. Coffee machine was 3 dollars a cup. As no coffee pot in room. Staff not available if problems after hours.
- katherine (8/5): - The property is very unique. Very clean, but could be updated a little. The beds weren't queen size
We enjoyed ourselves but wanted to rest better...
- Sheri (10/5): - Super nice outside the East gate of Yellowstone National Park, very friendly/helpful. Nice clean cabins, it was nice to relax on the porch and read my book next to the creek! If you get a chance to try her ribs DON’T miss them, amazing. We will definitely be booking back again on our next trip!!
- Carol (8/5): - This was a cozy cabin, clean, but small. The lodge was nice, the staff extremely friendly and accommodating. There was a dining room where you could have breakfast or dinner for an additional price.
- Jørgen (6/5): - No refrigurator and realt bad internet
- Mark (10/5): A home away from home - Amazing little gem of an inn located 10 miles from East Yellowstone. Owners were sweet & attentive. Very welcoming & comfortable place to stay.
- Michael (10/5): - Was a great place to get away.
- Dariana S. (8/5): - We had a very pleasant stay in Cabin #5. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Diane was very helpful in getting us checked in and situated before sundown. The inn was conveniently located to the east side of the Yellowstone entrance.
- Tonia (8/5): - The cabin was great, clean and had chairs to relax in the evening! Owners were very nice and easy to contact. The one thing I wish that we would have knew when booking was that there was not a full functioning restaurant. They offered breakfast, no lunch and a fixed meal for dinner. We spent 70.00 for a less and good meal. So if booking this great little cabin bring food.
- mike (10/5): - very nice place.
- Laurie (10/5): - Very serene place in the middle of the mountains.
- Moayed (10/5): - Loved it
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice cabins with small toilets - Super friendly staff and very clean cabins. Nice lounge room with TV, pool table and games. Good food in the restaurant but no food is included in the cost of the cabin. Now the not so good. The cabin was small, the shower was very small and the sink and toilet was micro sized. The seat for the toilet was almost on the floor and too small for anyone but a child.
- Anton (6/5): - There was no fridge in the room.
The cabin was not a cabin, it was just a room in a cabin.
The room needs a lot of help. Had to hold up a window with a piece of wood that they had in order to keep it opened. The window is almost falling out of the frame.
- Lonnie (4/5): - Would not recommend. They say its rustic. Had a bar, Pool table. No TV in the room.
- William (4/5): Extremely Expensive - Extremely expensive for the cabin. No microwave, no internal and no grill. Staff was very nice, $300 a night for bare-bones lodging isn't worth it.
- Matt (10/5): - A great location for staying close to the East Entrance of Yellowstone. Really friendly team made us very welcome. Family friendly.
- DONNA (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay.
- Matthew (10/5): - Quaint little cabins with friendly staff. Nice place to stay while seeing Yellowstone.
- julie (10/5): - Clean and close to the park! Staff was nice.
- Ryan (10/5): - Great place to stay!
- TH (10/5): - The staffs and host are very friendly and helpful. Cabins and Lodge are rustic and beautiful. Great breakfast
- Michael (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Michael (10/5): - Friendliest people ever!!! Always checking in on you to see if there was anything you needed. If you are looking for a quiet, rustic stay…this is it. Unplug, unwind, and relax.
- Charles (10/5): - Diana and Rick were awesome hosts. We felt like we were at home with them. Best place to stay around Yellowstone hands down.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overpriced, in poor condition - This "lodge" is near the Yellowstone Park. That's the only good thing about it. It doesn't worth $300 US a night. As a picture paints a thousand words, you need only to look at the photos. As there's no kitchenette, I had breakfast there for $13.95 and they dare to charge the filter coffee (forget cappuccino or espresso...) $3.95!!! I had the feeling of being robbed. The shower head is at 5' and the ceiling at least at 7' (big problem if you're 6'4" ). Very poor Internet access and no TV. If you want to eat something good, there is Cody... at 45 miles east. It should have been a better option to stay in this town.
- Britt (10/5): - Beautiful property with tremendous hosts! Highly recommend!!
- Cesar (8/5): - Very quiet and relaxing
- Tom (10/5): Great stay - Cabin was awesome, people were great! Highly recommend this place!
- Ben (8/5): - Unique rustic cabin experience in a quiet, peaceful and unique setting. Great view of the mountains from and just outside our front door. Friendly staff. Great access to the park.
- william (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Jose (10/5): - I know its an issue, but wifi could be stronger . Yes, its vacation, yet since communication is there it should be available. ie security fire alarms or family emergency
- Laurie (6/5): - Cozy. Small. 'Quaint'. Intermittant wi-fi, sporadic dinners that must be pre-arrainged. Limited toiletries.
- DENNIS (8/5): - The staff are there for you when you need them. Nice cabins.
- Anthony (10/5): - Very cozy and relaxing area nice bar and grill area and good entertainment
- Logan (10/5): - Beautiful Property….
Very friendly staff….
- Maurilio (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic.very close to the East entrance of Yellowstone NP.Cabins are very cosy and Staff very kind! Thanks for all
Recommended!!!!
- Linda (2/5): - Was asked to bring our trash to office. Had no service to make beds. Was told to watch how we used showers and toilet as they had a septic problem. We stayed one night and left.
- Guy (10/5): - It was close to the National Park entrance. Cabins were nice but the bed wasn’t comfortable. Staff were very nice.
- Norman (10/5): - Loved everything. Cozy, clean andthe hosts were very pleasing and friendly. Highly recommended. By the way, food was superb.
- Jami (10/5): - This was the best place ever! It is run by the sweetest family. They are so selfless and accommodating. We also enjoyed the location to East Yellowstone so much better than the over-touristy West Yellowstone. I can't recommend this place more! You won't regret staying here!
- Timothy (10/5): - Beautiful Quiet clean friendly as close to perfect as one could get
- Ashley (10/5): - I’m trying to find every platform to leave a review so that everyone knows how amazing this place was. The accommodations the people I could not of been happier. I would book over and over again.
- Tony (10/5): - Great view of the mountains and watching wildlife
- Robert (10/5): A Bright Spot in a Tough Trip - We were on day three of a 14 day trip through National Parks in the west. We were about 20 miles from this property when a doe mule deer decided it was a good time to cross our path. The car was undrivable and is still in Cody WY. Diana and Rick were fantastic hosts. They made us feel at home and helped us get our feet back under us. The property is beautiful and about a dozen miles from the east gate to Yellowstone. The cabins have a wonderful history, are well maintained, and are squeaky clean. The homemade meals are wonderful and served by the owners. This is a quiet place in the middle of the 50 mile stretch from Cody to the esst gate that Teddy Roosevelt called the most beatiful 50 miles in the country. He may have been right. The drive from Cody to the park is breathtaking beauty on a grand scale. This property is the perfect spot from which to launch your adventures. We get to come back to Cody in a couple of months to get the car. I hope we see Diana and Rick again. If you want peace, quiet, fantastic hospitality, and amazing surroundings, stay here. You'll love it. We did.
- Howard (10/5): - Nice place to stay at East entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Stayed the first day East entrance was opened so the temperature was in the 20's. They had plug in space heaters and it was a bit chilly. Other than that it was a great place.
- Anne Marie (10/5): - My husband and I loved our stay here. The rooms were very clean and the food and service were very good. I recommend this for anyone who wants to slow down for a bit and enjoy other people and the natural beauty of Wyoming and Yellowstone.
- Emi (10/5): - The place was near the East entrance of Yellowstone NP.
Our cabin had a nice atmosphere and the bear forest themed beddings were lovely!
What we loved the most was the dinner.
We knew there wes not so many dining options nearby, so I reserved a dinner for the first night in advance. The pork spareribs BBQ, fantastic! So we decided to have dinner there for the second night too. That brisket BBQ with a baked potato was delicious too.
The staff were friendly and we felt welcomed.
Thank you so much!
- Llewellyn (10/5): - Beauty of the area. The owners go out of their way to see you enjoy your stay
- CYNDY (10/5): - Darling cabins and decorated super cute inside. Staff was attentive (although short on staff right now) and we loved our stay.
- Randall Bruce (8/5): - The location and property were just what we needed. Natural and relaxing, with close proximity to the East entrance to Yellowstone. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck next to the creek.
- Nancy (8/5): - Nothing unique. Peaceful, beautiful setting. No TV, No access to the internet, No refrigerator or microwave in our room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice cabin - Cute cabins, friendly staff and owner, food was good, nice location.
- Doreen M. (10/5): - Property is made of up of quiet cabins on a creek, very close to Yellowstone and they have a gathering area for folks to meet other travelers. They even have a restaurant there that serves breakfast and dinners if you reserve ahead of time.
- Richard (10/5): - The cabin was basic. There was a bedroom and bathroom. Very clean. Social time was at the main building where there were tables inside and chairs outside by the fire pit. Staff treated everyone like family. I would recommend it to everyone.
- Dennis E (10/5): - This place is GREAT! My wife and I cannot say enough good comments. Friendly staff, great cabins, easy to get to, we would definitely go back and recommend this to any person visiting the Yellowstone area.
- SANDRA LEE (10/5): - Creekside Lodge is nestled in the based of the mountain, surrounded by nature. Facilities are clean, dining room is charming, food good, staff friendly. Nice and quiet.
Will come again.
- Eric (10/5): - Great place! Our room was right next to the creek and it was just awesome. The staff was extremely gracious and accommodating!
- Mark Anthony (10/5): - We had an amazing stay Creekside Lodge. The property was beautiful! Our cabin was right on the creek and it was so nice to have the windows open and listen to the creek. It is located relatively close to the west entrance of Yellowstone which was convenient for visiting the park.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was available daily and everything we tried was very good. Dinner is not available every night and when it is they offer one choice. This is not uncommon for the lodges in the area. There is a very nice restaurant a few miles away that has a full menu daily and everything there was great.
Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. They are not air conditioned but to be honest we did not need it. Our days were spent in Yellowstone and by the time we came back it cooled off quickly in the evening.
We would gladly stay here again!
- Heather (8/5): - Great property.. great people.. good food.. slightly overpriced.. I would recommend white sheets and white towels. Otherwise.. wonderful
- jaime (10/5): - The place was gorgeous. It’s great
- Suzana (6/5): - It is nice property with Woden cottages in summer it is at the evening too hot otherwise it was clean
Breakfast was there with basic choices
- David (8/5): - The owners were very nice and helpful. Nothing really to do at the property.
- Marty (10/5): Great Place - Highly recommend this place!! Rick & Diana are very accommodating! They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable! Will be visiting again soon!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place and great service! Just a reminder that the google map doesn't locate the lodge at a right place. If you come from Yellowstone NP and follow the google map, you may have to keep driving for a few minutes after you pass by the google map location, and then you will see the sign for Creekside Lodge!
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful scenery, the owners were so helpful and polite.
- Scott (10/5): Good choice if you want “quiet time” - Better than expected in most areas. The caretaker of the Inn was unexpectedly concerned with “quiet hours”. No one wants to be unable to sleep because of loud neighbors, but that’s not what this was. I feel like it impeded on the enjoyment of our time there. Although there was a small bar in the facility with a pool table etc, it was closed before we had time to go enjoy it.
If you are looking for total quiet and privacy, you will love this place…but if your expectation is to be social with your group, you might want to go somewhere else.
- Charles (10/5): A calming place to just slow down - The wife and I had a wonderfully relaxing stay. After a long day of seeing the awe inspiring sights of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons I can’t think of better spot to relax and unwind. I can highly recommend Creekside for a stay close to the National Parks. One thing to note there is no cellular phone service (for AT&T anyway) at the lodge or anywhere for miles around, which for us was a plus. a chance to leave the modern world behind.
- Lan (6/5): - The lodge we were stayed has no TV. The internet was WiFi, but we can't get any unless you sit at the front of the office. There was breakfast everyday. But the dinner had to reserve at breakfast time, sometimes might not have any because of short staff, have to go to Pahaska Tepee Resort which is about 6-9miles away and close by the east entrance. The PTR has better food and more choices.
