The staff were all so friendly, the amenities were lovely (loved the breakfast and homemade pastries). We were able to park in the garage and we were so close to the downtown plaza by all the stores and market. The hotel itself was beautiful and full of curios that brought a lovely charm to it. I did not expect this much and was beyond satisfied with everything. Everything was wonderful! No complaints.

- Teresa (10/5): - This elegant boutique is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed at in Mexico. The art work and personal collections are a lovely touch. The restaurant and cafe serve Parisian style breakfast and local cuisine. Our rooms were so comfortable and clean it was difficult to leave the room. Most importantly the staff exceeded expectations. They treat you as family and always provide the personal touch which is so rare and beautiful. Our thanks to the owner and staff for our special stay.

She went out of her way to accommodate us and when I had to work online, she provided a full office for me with TV monitor to connect for 2nd screen and frost class coffee or any other meal service while I worked. The sheets, towels, rooms, premises were first class. If you rent a car, they have a garage. I would come back again.

- kpajijic (10/5): Opulence in Tepatitlan! - We booked a 2 night getaway in Tepatitlan at this amazing hotel. This is by far the BEST hotel we have stayed at in Mexico in terms of comfort, decor, detail and friendly customer service. We reserved the Maria Antoinette Master Suite and were stunned by the period furniture, rugs, drapes and other French decor. A Jacuzzi bath with a view (huge photo) looking out towards the Palace of Versailles is a focal point in the room. Definitely the room for a romantic getaway! We parked our car in the private, secure, well lit, spacious underground garage and headed up to the well appointed reception with a large comfortable spiral seating area and a grand bar, which we did not use on this trip. We were graciously met by Tere who showed us to our room and later gave us a little tour. From the reception desk, a leisurely walk up the open curving marble grand staircase leads to the breakfast (included) and dining area on the 3rd floor. An elevator is available to those not wanting to take in the grandeur of the landings on each floor all decorated with fresh flowers and French related art. A full breakfast is offered: coffee, fresh fruit juice, mixed fruit bowl, warm muffins followed by a choice of very generous helpings of traditional Mexican dishes. Indoor or outdoor dining on the terrace is available with views looking out towards the Centro. Attention to detail is evident to every aspect of this Boutique Hotel in the heart of Tepatitlan. We intend to explore the Alhambra Master Suite on our next visit...

We didn’t. Room was minimalist and very noisy as sounds echoed in the halls and atriums. No windows to the outside. We could hear the restaurant staff two floors above us.

Frankly we’re not really hotel people preferring a laidback Airbnb, but this establishment was recommended, and I’m so glad it was! I cannot say enough about the staff to being with. They are more like family, and treat you like family. Their smiles are genuine and they are always welcoming and helpful with absolutely anything you might need. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. Many lovely pieces of art and furniture are in spaces for you to enjoy. The food at breakfast is cooked fresh daily and is delicious with French press coffee. You can enjoy breakfast inside or outside on the lovely terrace. There is a handsome full bar in the lobby where you can get a drink or an espresso, and they have a dedicated smoking room for those who do with lovely chairs and art and travel books. Our room was immaculate and stocked with fruit, cookies, and sparkling water. It had a Nespresso coffee machine as well. We had robes, slippers and shower slippers and of course extra towels. Every day there was a special treat left at our bedside. They arranged a car for us back to the airport which we had to get very early in the morning so that was much appreciated. We so enjoyed our stay and meeting each and every person here. I know we would not hesitate to stay here again!

The hotel itself is beautiful, the food delicious, and the whole staff there was wonderful! From the hotel manager Tere, to the front desk help Raziel, Clara, Fanny, the cafe wait staff Alejandra and Martin and also housekeeping Marie and Adriana! I didn’t get the names of the overnight staff. But they were great as well! They were all very professional, welcoming, attentive and extremely helpful with any request I had. I definitely recommend staying there!

- pilar_cat_men (10/5): Amazing experience in Jalisco - I recently had a wedding in Jalisco, Mexico and the closest town was Tetapitlan de Morelos a little beautiful place in the region called "Altos de Jalisco" where I had never been. There were not many good options to stay until i found Grand Hotel Boutique Tepatitlan and I got obsessed with the place and I decided there was no other choice for me, I had to get to know that hotel that instantly sent my mind to Europe. Even if Tepatitlan its located in the middle of Jalisco where the Mariachi and Tequila were born, this hotel has the ability to take you to Asia, Paris, Spain and more depending on the room you choose. Details are exquisite and very well thought, the service is so warm that its real easy to feel like home. Whatever you need, the staff will make it happen. The breakfast that is included has the best mexican ingredients to complete the mix between mexico and the world. I needed hair&make for the wedding and they sent me a great artist that made my style very chic,I also needed transportation and they contacted a very professional driver that made me feel safe. The hotel everything you could asked for. I definitely want to go back to Grand Hotel Boutique Tepatitlan and visit places where the Tequila is made, and other close places I wasnt able to go. Even if you are mexican tourist or you com from outside this is your place to go. LOVED IT!!!!
- VitaCorleone (2/5): Booked, then cancelled with advance notice and they tried to charge my card - Long story short, I booked this hotel online and received a confirmation via email that said: If you cancel before 7 days of your proposed stay, you will not be penalised. If you cancel within 7 days of your start date, you will be charged in full. In case of a no show, you will be charged in full. Notice, there is NO cancellation info on their website so the only info I had to go by was the email confirmation. Well, I needed to cancel and gave them nearly a month's notice. And the degenerate hotel decided they would charge me for the entire booking even PLUS an additional 10% when I cancelled....even the cancellation was with plenty of advance notice. Thankfully, I booked with my credit card and through Paypal, because I fought it and Paypal (who is awesome btw), returned every single peso back to me. This is a revised review because this hotel attempted to dox me by replying with my full legal name, which is clearly against TA rules. I've already alerted Tripadvisor. This hotel plays dirty and is distrustful. I DO NOT recommend.

(And since I often work while traveling, good WiFi is important too.) Grand Hotel hits all of these marks and then some. Tere, the manager was unbelievably helpful and extremely nice. But then again, so was the entire staff we interacted with! The room was super clean. Spotless. A nice change from most hotels. And since each room is unique, that made things even more special. The fresh juice we received upon checkin was such a great touch, especially considering the heat during our multi-day stay in Tepatitlán. Lastly, the level of service and detail at breakfast each morning was incredible! Such a great experience and amazing staff. Looking forward to staying there again as we have family in Tepa. We were happy to know that if anything was needed to make our stay more comfortable, it would be provided. Breakfast time had a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was maintained impeccable every day. Grand Hotel's location is within walking distance to the Plaza and the Mercado where all the Mexican City flavors can be enjoyed.

- bellabookworm8x8 (10/5): Another marvelous stay at The Grand Hotel - After a couple of years away, my husband and I returned to Tepatitlan de Morelos, Jalisco to stay at our choice hotel, The Grand Hotel Boutique. We were welcomed like family by Teresa, the General Manager, who is just wonderful. She is one of the primary reasons we return to this hotel. Luckily our visit coincided with an art exhibition opening night showcasing Carmen Alarcon Collignon, an artist from Guadalajara. We were delighted to meet with the artist and local community members. We have always enjoyed the art exhibits offered at The Grand Hotel showcasing different artists. We stayed in Neruda, one of our favorite suites. Neruda includes a tub, shower, and king size bed, it is a romantic suite. Breakfast is included. The food is delicious as are the fresh juices or smoothies offered. You can eat outside on the terrace or inside the restaurant. The hotel is located near the town center. You can easily walk to the bank, coffee shops, markets, retail stores, churches, and the museum. Tepatitlan de Morelos, Jalisco is rich in culture and history, and best of all its people make the difference. They are gracious and have the gift of hospitality. It is one of our favorite places to travel in Mexico.

- Jeffkwpg (10/5): World class elegance - Our second time staying here after having been here a few years prior as we love to visit the authentic and charming city of Tepatitlán. Every detail from the welcome basket to the spiral staircase and handrail in the main lobby have been put in place with care and attention to detail. This hotel is a wonderful experience to have if you are in the region!

- cappuccino2 (10/5): Beautiful and unique - I had a really nice stay at the Grand Hotel. Each room has a unique theme, and depending on which you choose, it feels like taking a vacation in a different country! The decoration is beautiful, and details down to the type of furniture and curtains use vary by room to reflect the country theme. The staff was kind and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious. The terrace where breakfast is served is also nice, with a view of the city. Overall a great experience, I would definitely stay there again!

- Cristina122614 (8/5): Would have liked hot water - Amazing attention to detail. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious food. Soundproof windows. My only issue was the lack of hot water in our room. I called the front desk several times to make them aware of the issue and they looked into it but were never able to fix it. I would have loved a hot shower.

- AlejandroG1314 (2/5): Worst Experience Ever. - We have a terrible experience on this hotel, specially with the lady at the front desk < TERE > she was totally rude. We attend a wedding on this amazing town, but this lady all time try to make us pay for everything ... also pay for take pictures inside our room, that was so invasive. AC Do not works properly as well and very poor IT support.

- Miguel (10/5): Luxurious Hotel in the heart of it all - We loved our stay at this hotel, its in the middle of the town, close to many shops and restaurants, many churches and easy access to transportation. Hotel also has a gym and spa, we got massages and they were amazing. There's a few local bars in the area that are open until 2am. Customer service was fantastic, they also include free breakfast.
