• Caroline (10/5): - The owners are very welcoming , nothing to much trouble , a little walk into town, but it’s a beautiful walk near the river or choose the other route , we choose the lovely walk by the river a glorious view. A lovely comfortable warm sleep and a lovely breakfast , a lot to choose from on the continental then a cooked breakfast . Very welcoming
• John (10/5): - Our hosts Max and Angie made this a great stay. We felt like we were home, breakfast was amazing and decor of house was very eclectic . Our room was small not much room other than beds, but bath was clean. Angie even provided taxi service for us with drive to downtown, although it can be walked. Local area is full of things to do.
• Stewart (6/5): - we booked a twin room with ensuite but on arrival we were given a double room with bathroom outside the room. no adjustment was made to our fee. Also the room had no wardrobe for our clothing.
• Kyle (4/5): The man is friendly but his wife is rude. - The place itself is nice enough. Nice sized room, reasonably comfortable (though gets really cold during the off season because they only run the heaters from 7pm-10pm and 7am-10am. Breakfast is just cereal and cold toast unless you pay extra. The man is a nice enough fellow and seems genuinely interested in trying to make your stay a good one but his wife is very rude. I had no warning that they didn't accept credit cards and so on our check out day I had to go the bank and take an advance on my credit card to pay. The man was apologetic and even offered to drive me to the bank but his wife called out from the other room saying "No! Don't apologize to HIM. You told him on the phone no credit cards. He knew!" when in actuality the conversation we had only established to me that they couldn't process a non-present credit card (we'd discussed me giving him a credit card number over the phone to charge to). All in all, the woman's attitude during our stay left us with an unpleasant taste in our mouth and put a damper on that leg of our trip.
• Not Provided (2/5): Rooms are not as advertised. Avoid this hotel. - Terrible. Room was advertised as having an en suite bathroom, however, the bathroom was actually across the hall in the foyer. Soaps provided were half empty bottles left by previous guests. Next morning when we went to take a showers, we each had to wait as other guests and/or family members used the bathroom that was meant to be ours. Having to wait out turn to use a bathroom that was meant to be ours alone was very annoying. closets were filled with the owner's wife's old clothes. Seems room is used by owners when guests aren't booked into it. Breakfast was very embarrassing for us. It was my understanding that breakfast was included and we were even asked what time we would like our breakfast ready the night before. When we went into the dining room the following morning we were told by the owner's wife that we were not entitled to a cooked breakfast. We could only have the juice and cereal on the bar and then, in front of the other guests eating, were scolded and asked, "how can you expect us to provide you breakfast when you got the room for so cheap?" We were told that because we paid a "hostel price" we should've known breakfast wouldn't be included. I was mortified and my friend was really embarrassed. I declined their breakfast and simply left the hotel. Another guest even commented to me how inappropriately we were treated.

• Bjorn (4/5): Give it a chance - Budget B&B run by a lovely couple. We were in room 2 which doesnt have an ensuite but our private bathroom is just across the hallway which is not a problem. Heating was excellent and the hotel was nice and quiet. Its a bit out of town but the price easily makes up for that. Only criticism is that the breakfast wasn't very fresh...breads appeared stale and the orange juice was very cheap. Probably the worst continental breakfast we've ever had. The driveway is narrow but we have a small car so it was not a problem, although I'm not sure I'd say the same after a few beers!
• Marcus (6/5): Clean and comfortable B&B in Inverness - We had a nice one-night stay at the Glasdair bed and breakfast (with none of the problems some people have mentioned in earlier reviews) The owners were lovely and could not have been friendlier. The room we stayed in was very small but spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom and tea-and-coffee making facilities. A nice continental breakfast was served the next morning and we were asked if we wanted eggs or bacon. We stayed with a baby and the owners were very baby friendly. The property is approximately a 15-minute walk from the centre of Inverness, which is easily accessible by car. Our only issue (which is small) was that we did not stay in the room we had booked, but were given another much smaller room without explanation. ** There is car parking provided at the rear of the property, but as many other reviews have stated it is very very narrow. I would strongly recommend parking in the little street opposite the B&B (Island Bank) - there is free parking there all day and plenty of space. One of the home owners there apparently doesn't like anyone parking in the street and says it is not allowed but that is categorically incorrect. We all parked there fine for the entire stay **

• Verified traveler (8/5): 4/5 - Found this little nice place for our short stay in Inverness. Got a beautiful room with a great view, can't complain about that. One of the people from the staff was rude the whole stay for some reason (everyone else was great) and the bathroom had no lock, anyone could've entered whenever they felt like and of course it did happen. Not something you want to go through...I think they can afford a lock on the bathroom door, it's really not that expensive. The price was good though and the location is close to centre and the river :)
• Brett (10/5): Very comfortable - Ideally located on the edge of Inverness, this beautiful property was exactly what we needed for the first night after a 10 hour drive to Scotland. The beds have memory foam mattresses which give an amazing nights sleep. The room had everything you needed for a stop over and was a 20 minute walk into the center of the city, the walk itself is along the rivers edge and has a lovely river pathway. The hosts were very welcoming and met us with enthusiasm at the door. The breakfast was excellent and this hotel is highly recommended.

An owner who did not have details of my booking, would not take acfrd- but wanted cash, who was in his socks. Washing hanging all over the front garden- not shown in the picture- never again, thatnk you and a bit of a disgrace to Scottish B&Bs

• Frances (8/5): Nice rooms tight parking - Parking is the issue for this place. Very tight squeeze to get to the parking area. Rooms were very nice.
• Tracy (4/5): Unwelcoming - On arrival Max showed us to our room, which had a private bathroom across the hallway rather than en suite. He told us the extensive house rules, and then went on to tell us how cheap we had got the room and that it was costing people booking now £30 more, making us feel as if we had somehow cheated him! Breakfast was round a large formal dining table, the cooked breakfast was basic to say the least and my partner was told off by Max's wife for putting his side plate on the wrong side. We spent the whole time whispering and feeling like naughty children who had to be on their best behaviour. Although the room was fine, overall we felt uncomfortable and awkward during our stay.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely. - Although this bed and breakfast is a good 20 minute walk out of Inverness, the owners we're so kind and the room was very nice. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and there was a lot of food. This is a private house turned B&B so there are many personal touches around the house. It was very homey.
• Miles (6/5): Stay at Glasdair - Glasdair was very welcoming and comfortable. My only issue was the parking. As I have an SUV the space to gain access to parking at the rear was very tight which meant that I had to park in a side street.

• Todd (10/5): Inverness - Lovely couple and beautifully decorated home. We loved the view of the River Ness. More of a French country side motif than what we've seen in Scotland so it was wonderfully different. We were welcomed and got a chance to see all the family pictures and chat with our hosts before setting out to enjoy the town.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly and welcoming with lovely owners - The rooms are big and well equipped though decor may not be to everyones taste and overall very comfortable with nice owners. They were helpful with our very late arrival and generally very welcoming. If you have a large vehicle sadly there is no off street parking as the path is very narrow with short turning circle so youll need to find somewhere nearby. neighbours are rude and confrontational about people parking across the street. Breakfast was a bit of a let down (bacon, lorne sausage and fried egg does not constitute a "full scottish") and there were no bowls or spoons for our cereal/yoghurt. That said it was cooked well and we didnt ask for extra crockery. would stay here again with smaller car.
• missholders (6/5): A few niggles - We stayed here for 1 night during our trip around the highlands. Initial impressions were very good, we received a warm welcome from Max and the reception area itself was lovely and bright and smelled really fresh. Parking wasn't an issue for us, but it is a narrow stretch down to the car park, which some guests clearly aren't confident navigating. Max showed us to our room and asked for payment in cash as he said they didn't accept card payments; contrary to the booking details which stated they accept either. Glasdair advertises 'private facilities in all rooms', but this wasn't the case with our room (number 2). Although we had our own bathroom, it was across the hallway! Luckily, a bathrobe (only one though) was provided so at least we didn't have to streak across the hall. It was a bit of a pain in the middle of the night having to robe, find the key, cross the hall, unlock the door then do it all in reverse. We had no idea of this upon booking, assuming all rooms had en suite. The bathroom was functional with a shower, loo and basin, however there was no plug for the basin and no toiletries were provided (not even a little bar of soap for hand washing). There was one hook to hang stuff on; this was held in place by a nail. Our room itself was a decent size, with a lovely view over the garden and the River Ness. A few of the fixtures had seen better days, but for the one night it was ok. Temperature wise it was just right and we had a good nights sleep (apart from
• Mark (8/5): Nice part of town - Nice views of the river in this stately old home. The driveway is way too narrow and the car just got through even with the mirrors flattened. Some parking across the road.
• P M (6/5): Car Park Problems - The only problem I had was the driveway to the rear car park is very narrow and I damaged my car bumper. I parked in the road after this problem. The cooked breakfast was not great.

• Elle (10/5): Clean, comfortable, spacious room with ensuite. - As soon as we walked in we were delighted. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The ensuite was also roomy with a great shower and soft fluffy bath sheets! We had a beautiful view of the river from our window. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend. Great value for money!
• Maren (10/5): Lovely B&B - We sincerely enjoyed our time here - the room looked like it belonged in a 5 star big city hotel instead of a small B&B in north Scotland. Slept extremely well here. We had quite a bit of trouble getting parked though - the property is split between a private residence and hotel, which we didn't realize and drove the car down the private driveway. Very narrow lanes - took a good ten minutes to get reversed and back out to park on the street. More directional signage, indicating street parking is preferred would be really helpful. Breakfast service was wonderful - wide variety.
• Lindsay (2/5): Not a great experience. - I would not recommend this to anyone from the states visiting. When we arrived there was a strong language barrier which lead to the check in process being confusing. There was no parking when we got there and it's located 5-10 min outside the city. We also were notified that they wifi was out which a huge disappointment because we relied on that for our next day trip. We felt very uncomfortable asking for help because they were having a family dinner when we arrived. Beds and bathroom were clean but overall not a great experience.
• J&B (8/5): - A little confusing to find, as there is another place in Inverness with a very similar name-which we went to first after being directed there by the tourist information. Quite a walk from the center of town (perhaps too far for a lot of people, especially if in a rush.) Otherwise, it was a nice, clean place with a great breakfast provided in the morning.
• Amado (8/5): Great Stay in Inverness - I had a great stay at this bed and breakfast. It was a bit removed from the city center (good for me, I appreciated the pleasing walk for exercise, but wanted you all to be aware). The staff was very accommodating, I unknowingly arrived early, but they were happy to receive me. They were also willing to store my luggage for a portion of the next day as I had a day trip and needed a place to store until my train that evening. Very helpful! The room was very nice/comfortable and breakfast was great.

• Donna (6/5): 30 mins walk into town along river - Owner was nice. Room 5 was lovely apart from being a bit cold. There was only a curtain at one side of window + a see through blind so woke at 5am with daylight. Crack in window too! Bathroom fair size.

• Tom (10/5): great guest house on the river bank - The friendliest place you could pick for a stay in Inverness, husband and wife team who go to great lengths to make your stay as enjoyable as they can. We stayed for three nights and wished we had booked longer. The food is excellent and well prepared the cleanliness throughout is exceptional requests are dealt with immediately, a bed and breakfast ran like like a four star hotel. The only criticism would be the narrow driveway to the car park at the rear, although as we left builders were measuring up parking at the front.
• Neil (8/5): Charming, family owned B&B. - Charming and friendly B&B backing onto the river Ness, just outside Inverness. We were in the deluxe en-suite room, which was spacious enough for two, lovely and warm and quiet through the night - though you can hear the other guests in the morning and around bed time. Bed was comfortable, tv works, wi-fi worked, toilet and bathroom facilities all good.
