• Gabrielle (10/5): Séjour parfait - Super hôtel, le personnel est extremement gentil, ils nous ont aidé à monter nos valises sur leurs épaules au haut de la colline et des nombreuses marches (hôtel non accessible en voiture). Nous avons eu de la difficulté à trouver l’hôtel mais nous avons adoré l’emplacement. Petit déjeuner succulent avec vue magnifique. Chambre propre et personnel très accueillant et accomodant.
• deborah (10/5): - One of the best parts of our stay was the staff. Faye and her staff were absolutely amazing and always so helpful and courteous. All went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time, feeling safe, and enjoying our stay. They went out of their way to help my husband who has peripheral neuropathy and for this, we are more than grateful. I don't think we have ever had this much service. I will say however, I wish I had known how hilly and difficult the walking was, which was not the fault of the staff. The view was breathtaking.
• Lorrie (10/5): - We loved our stay In Imerovigli. It is a quiet, gorgeous, quaint town right on the absolutely gorgeous high up oceanfront caldera views walking path to the other busier towns. We got upgraded to the sister hotel Avaton, which was gorgeous! Kostas, the hotel manager, was amazing as was the porter, breakfast staff, and housekeeping staff. Such nice, warm, helpful, welcoming folks in Greece! 5 star in EVERY way!!! The breakfast was huge and fantastic served each morning on our balcony with out of this world views of the ocean and Caldera. The restaurants within walking distance a block or two away are all wonderful including White, 4 Seasons, Dear Miss Ellie, & Fish. The staff were wonderful too! The BIG highlight of the trip was a catamaran dinner/sunset cruise! Such a different amazing view from below! 5 star trip in EVERY single way! Santorini is wonderful and there’s a ferry available to adventure to the other islands as well. We did a quick day trip to Athens to immerse ourselves in history and culture. It’s HUGE! Have a plan! We had a taxi pick us up at the airport and shuttle us around all day long! Well worth the expense. Have Fun!!! Thanks Kostas, and all your crew!! Such a memorable stay!!! ❤️

• H Paul (10/5): Fabulous views, but a bit hard to find - Definitely stay here! BUT... call first. The "hotel" is a collection of rooms in the warren of beautiful white buildings stuck to the cliff above the sea in the caldera, and some of the rooms are separated from the reception office (which you probably won't find anyway). The rooms and office are on the maze of footpaths that even Google can't decipher. If you have a car, you will need to park it on the road above the cliff and walk to the room. Call ahead, and someone will meet you. Once you find it, the rooms are great, with breathtaking views. A feast of a breakfast was brought to our balcony each morning. There are postcard views in every direction, and restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. We were in the "Maria" room which had a kitchenette and a 2-person sized, private balcony with the view you're going to Santorini to get. A definite YES!

They also offer pick up service from the airport for 30 euro and the bellhop will meet you to assist you with your luggage to the hotel which is great. Santorini is very hilly and the assistance is great! I would highly recommend this hotel.

• Hilary (10/5): Incredible stay with amazing staff! - I can’t even begin to describe how pleased my husband and I were with our stay at Krokos Villas. The accommodations were amazing and the staff really went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Our trip started with an upgrade to a nicer room, and finished with a significant upgrade to their 5 star sister hotel, Avaton Resort and Spa. In both places, the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we could ever want. My husband and I usually travel on a tight budget, so the 5 star service we received from start to finish made us feel like we were royalty on the trip of a lifetime. Both places had delicious breakfast served on a terrace with breathtaking views. The terrace was exceptional for watching the sunset as well! I would like to add a special thanks to George, Kostas, Emilius, and Georgina (I’m sorry if I have misspelled anyone’s name) for making bookings, arranging transportation, carrying luggage, giving all sorts of tips and advice, and generally making our trip incredible.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - We were put in a cave room the first night. It was possibly one of the worst nights of my life. I felt like I was in a dungeon/prison. You had to climb up steps to reach the bedroom, and the AC could not reach the bedroom upstairs. The room was disgusting and smelled of mold. There was barely any light in the room. The worst part was the bathroom, which was was a dark cement square, with no windows, and no shower. The "shower" consisted of a shower hose on the wall directly next to the toilet. There was a leak from the toilet, and water dripped out of it. The entire room smelled like sewage. It was not what I expected when I booked a the room. I would have never booked the hotel if I saw pictures of that room. I cried myself to sleep that night. Fortunately they changed us to a newer room for the rest of our stay, but my husband and I are still traumatized from our night in the cave. I should not have stayed a single night in that awful dungeon. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. The only positives of the trip were the staff and the views.

Having breakfast each morning with view of the other buildings and the water was incredible. The junior suite is gianormious and can fit a group of people. The bed was slightly hard and no wi-fi signal, but the amazing view and location made it worth it. We also stayed at the sister property Avaton which was outstanding.

• Claudio (8/5): Ottimo balcone con affaccio sulla caldera - Abbiamo soggiornato quattro notti, la prima notte ci hanno fatto dormire in un'ottima camera ma con vista parziale sulla caldera; dalla seconda notte ci hanno spostato in un'altra camera dotata di loggia e balcone con bellissimo affaccio sulla caldera, La camera era spaziosa ma il letto matrimoniale era situato su un soppalco in legno raggiungibile con difficoltà tramite una scala in legno: l'altezza utile massima del soppalco, ove ubicato il letto, era di circa 120-130 cm con soffitto voltato. Il bagno piccolo e scomodo in condizioni carenti di manutenzione in relazione alle aspettative per la categoria di appartamento. Gentilezza del personale della reception e addetto al servizio.
• RM (10/5): - Amazing experience at Krokos. The staff was awesome, the service was top notch and the villa was everything we could hope for (comfort, caldera view and ameneties). Vanessa at the front desk went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The location of Krokos is also very good with a relatively easy access to the main walkway and the parking lot.

Even though the AC didn't work, the room itself was very cool so we were able to have nice peace and quiet. The only issue is that you can't drink the tap water in Santorini so bring your own!

• Keila (8/5): Podia ser melhor!!! - É um apartamento com cozinha sala e banheiro, pelo menos o apartamento 11A em que fiquei. A vista é maravilhosa, porém, a cama é casal norma (pequena), o banheiro não possui box ou cortina e é impossível não molhar o piso que é escorregadio tendo a possibilidade de queda. O café da manhã é montado em uma lista e entregue pontualmente na sua varanda, eu gostei e você pode mudar suas escolhas diariamente. Não existe internet no apartamento. Para acessar a internet (rápida) terá que ir até a recepção que fica cerca de 200 m do apartamento em terreno acidentado com escadas e rampas bem íngremes. Se tiver problemas de locomoção fica impossível. Haja pernas!!!

• Calgary Hiker (10/5): Fantastic stay at Santorino - We have stayed at the place two nights. Our room was booked with view but the first room they showed to us didn’t have clear view but reception kindly chagdd our room even we have stayed each night in one rooom but they managed maje ys happy. Very kind and nice staff . Alll of them from reception to room service they were all good. The view from our balcony was fantastic . Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend it highly.
• S+A (10/5): Stunning view and wonderful service - The view from Krokos Villa was simply stunning. We had one of the corner units, with a balcony overlooking the caldera, Fira, Skaros rock, and the ocean. Every morning, the staff delivered a lovely breakfast every morning on our patio overlooking the caldera, and it was a magnificent way to start the day. The location could not have been better. Krokos Villa is located in Imerovigli, about a 30 minute walk from Fira, or 10 minutes by bus/taxi. We went in high season (late August), when Santorini is still crowded with tourists. We loved the fact that the area was was less crowded and touristy than the madness of Fira. More importantly, it was situated on top of the hill, overlooking the caldera and Fira. The views in Imerovigli are better than Fira, in my opinion. Tour books always talk about the sunset from Oia, but I have to say watching the sunset from Imerovigli, near Skaros rock, was just as good and without the tourist crowds. Lastly, the staff were wonderful. Vanessa cheerfully gave us detailed information about the island, and helped set us up with a boat tour, ATV rentals, and taxi transfers to the port. Vladimir was helpful in carrying our bags over the steps.

• Diogo (8/5): Overbooking. - O hotel Krokos Villas é excelente por sua localização na ilha de Santorini (Imerovili), uma vista para "caldeira" sem igual. Os funcionários são excelentes, atenciosos e prestativos. Negativamente, a internet não funciona adequadamente no quarto, mas o pior foi a prática de overbooking: das 4 diárias contratadas, ficamos apenas 2 no hotel.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Imerovigli hotel with breathtaking caldera views. - The staff was AMAZING. Even before our scheduled check-in time, they helped store our luggage to facilitate our rental car return in nearby Fira. When we arrived we were shown to our room that was upgraded because of availability. The staff is attentive and courteous. The views from this hotel are gorgeous. Staying in Imerovigli gives you access to Fira on foot, but you have more privacy and quiet. Bus access is easy to Oia as well. Nothing negative to say. The worst part was having to leave.
• Enzo (8/5): Una vista incredibile - Krokos villas non è un albergo propriamente detto ma un insieme di mini appartamenti indipendenti e sparsi all'interno delle viuzze di Imerovigli. Noi avevamo un delizioso appartamento che si affacciava su un terrazzo a picco sulla caldera con una vista mozzafiato. Ci siamo trovati molto bene sia per la posizione che per la grandezza della camera che disponeva di un angolo cottura e di un divano. L'unico vero grosso problema è stato il bagno che è veramente piccolo, senza finestre perchè ricavato da un anfratto della roccia ma sopratutto con i sanitari vecchi e poco funzionali. Lo sciacquone funzionava a tratti e più volte ho dovuto aprire la cassetta per far ripartire il galleggiante che si era incastrato. Naturalmente ho avvisato più volte la direzione ma nulla è stato fatto anche se l'unica cosa da fare sarebbe da rifarlo completamente. Una chicca era lo specchio sopra l'asse del wc e lascio alla vostra immaginazione le contorsioni per farsi la barba,,, Concludo dando si un giudizio positivo nell'insieme ma sarebbe il caso di adeguare i prezzi abbastanza alti alla struttura.

• Julia (8/5): Stunning views and eccellent location - I stayed at Krokos Villas in late July 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The apartments boast stunning views over the Caldera and the location, Imerovigli, is truly perfect and in my opinion just as beautiful as the popular neighbouring Oia but less touristy and crowded. Krokos Villas has a kitchenette which we found very useful( although could be better equipped- I suggest a corkscrew and a few extra pans) for cooking ourselves delicious dinners by making the most of the outdoor terrace and view. Breakfast is served to the room, at the requested time, every morning! Could do with a little extra variety but is plentiful and sets you up for some island exploring! The room is clean and the service excellent. The hotel staff were helpful with bookings and information although not particularly clued up on restaurants outside Imerovigli so do your reaserch beforehand as the wifi, although advertised, is practically non existent. Overall a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend the location.

• Keith (4/5): Bad experience to say the least. - In a word nightmare. At check in they tried to switch us to another hotel, which we refused because it had a totally different view than what we expected. In retrospect we should have switched. They finally agreed to let us stay, then gave us the worst room they had. It was supposed to be a Superior Suite but the bathroom was so small you had to sit on the toilet with your feet in the shower. There was no shower curtain, the coffee cups were not clean (there was lumps of sugar caked in the bottom) and internet could only be used outside. After much complaining, the next day they switched us to another room but honestly we are not sure that either room was in Krokos Villas. All the hotels have room jumbled together and we could never find out for sure at what hotel we were staying. If someone didn't meet you at the outside road it would be impossible to find reception. The streets are a total maze with no markings or directional signs. It took us over 30 minutes to find our room again once we left it.I will give credit to Janina for getting us a better room the second night and for helping us get a taxi for our late departure.
