• ELIZABETHj (10/5): Can’t wait to go back. - Honestly could not have asked for more. The service in the hotel was perfect- friendly and helpful.Professionals doing their job very well. We actually unusually,chose a suite- worked so well for us mid- trip with loads of complications- wonderful space to relax. Loved the pool and the situation. Was no problem to them that we had booked breakfast then the time of our pre- booked wildlife tour changed so they bagged it up for us. Ate in the restaurant the first night because we were tired and didn’t want the hassle of finding somewhere else- ate there the second night because we had enjoyed the first so much.

• Paul (10/5): Something Different. - Beautiful hotel with efficient and friendly staff who made our stay perfect. Large bedroom with a lovely bathroom. Aperitif on the terrace before a delicious dinner is a must to take in the views of flamingos, wild horses and deer which only El Rocio can offer! If you’re looking for something different this is a great place to relax.

• Frederick (10/5): - A bit hard to find but very nice. There is an older building and a newer one adjacent that I stayed in (though it is styled to match the old one and has a lovely small courtyard). Surprisingly, there was no coffee maker or hot water maker, which is my only complaint. Hotel faces the lagoon which is great for a stroll on the boardwalk. I would stay here again.
• Linda (10/5): A must visit location - Lovely hotel in a great location by the lagoon. The staff were very welcoming and the junior suite was very nice. We had an issue with the heating not working very well but other than that our stay was excellent. The hotel restaurant, La Boca, is definitely recommended.

Des vins locaux absents de la carte, le jour le plus touristique de l'année. Une réception qui fait attendre 15mn le check-in en décrivant toutes les attractions touristiques à des clients.

Francisco at the front desk went above and beyond to help me . I got a flat tire an hour away from the hotel. He called Frank , a taxi driver who took such good care of me . I do not speak Spanish and Frank stayed with me until Roadside assistance arrived and then drove me to Seville to get a new rental . This place is very special . If you ever get the chance to spend a few days , I highly recommend Hotel La Malvasía and take a tour of Donana National Park .

• Alan (8/5): Traditionally styled hotel with modern facilities - The hotel is right next to the lagoon and we stayed in the Annex, which is right next door and has a fine courtyard. The restaurant cooking is quite ordinary, really, and the service, whilst friendly, was somewhat inattentive.

• Siobhan (10/5): A gem of a hotel - The stay in Malavasia was exceptional. Every room and every detail was a delight. The decor was gorgeous and the little touches in the rooms made us smile. The outside areas were beautifully appointed and arranged. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in El Rocio.
• Judy (10/5): - We are birdwatchers and booked a double room. The room overlooks a marsh filled with flamingos, ducks, geese etc. They put a spotting scope in my room - perfect! We didn’t know anything about the history and traditions of El Rocio but learned quickly. It’s like a mix of nature, bourses, the Wild West, church and brotherhoods. Incredible 2 nights. The hotel was perfect for us, beautiful.

As first time visitors we were not informed on any of the services offered by the hotel except the times breakfast was served. Restaurant closed without information. This hotel deserves a more dedicated staff The young guy serving breakfast was great
• PaUL (8/5): El Rocio - The hotel is in 2 buildings, we stayed in the new part, but we didnt get the view we wanted [over the lake]. Breakfast was a bit disappointing , the rate included breakfast but we had to pay extra if you wanted eggs. Bed was comfortable and room was good with usb port to charge mobiles.

• Susan (10/5): Not Stephen King! - El Rocio was the strangest place I have stayed in, sad because the lagoons are dry, weird because there were hardly any people about, but full of hope because it is a centre of pilgrimage. This was reflected in the hotel, just waiting for people to turn up.
