• Scott (9/5): Excellent. I’ll be back with the grandkids - Bed was actually very comfortable. The tap water was actually very tasty. They had a central courtyard that was great for families so you could keep an eye on the kids. They also had a big grassy lawn that went down to the river to play on. They’re located near the town grocery store so getting supplies is very easy.

Everything including bedding and towels for the pet rooms are completely kept separate. Close to trails and there are plenty of on site space to hang outside

The town is cute and small with very little restaurant options so have a warm breakfast available at the hotel was excellent before heading out for the day’s adventures. You can walk to the barn movie theater, outdoor ice rink and snowshoeing as well as the mining town.

• leighmcd (6/5): Would not go back - This is an older inn that needs updating. It was difficult to get the room door to shut tightly. The room was relatively clean but there was something on the wall by the bathroom light switch that was questionable. The noise from the room above was unbearable and it was not because they were being noisy. You hear every footstep and even the rolling over in bed! It is because the floors creak something awful. We were there in the winter so did not not get to use the pool but grandson enjoyed the hottub and sauna. Breakfast was good but the same everyday.

• Swanson (9/5): - The staff are lovely. The hot tub and sauna are very nice and relaxing. Just keep mind that Friday and Saturday nights there may be party folk up late in the hot tub (it was a loud and late Saturday evening crowd for us). The breakfast area is so nice and a nice food selection! Really enjoyed that their were DVDs to choose from and a blue ray player in the room.. Possible loud party folk with the hot tub. But of course that is just luck of the draw!

Also, I didn’t use the pool but it looked very clean and well maintained. I had heard and read that the breakfast was terrific. But I thought it was somewhat average.

• Bruce (7/5): Overall the location was beautiful, I would stay there again, but they definitely need some updates. - Loved the location! Mule deer passing through was beautiful breakfast was very well done and kept up with. Parking is free and relatively easy. The river behind the inn was very pretty and peaceful. For the cost they could definitely afford to update the bedding that includes the comforters/quilt they look like they’re from the 70s /80s. Our sliding door to go onto the balcony didn’t open and yes, we checked all of the locks and safety locks. It was stuck like painted shut or something. They have DVDs in the room instead of upgrading the rooms to satellite or smart TVs which for almost $200 a night is more than a bit outdated in 2025 and you have to go down to the office to rent or get the DVDs. The beds were quite hard as well and I’m really not that picky when I’m tired. They have a really good thing going. They’re a gorgeous location. It wouldn’t take much just a few updates and they could really make that place pop. One more thing they could implement would be a quiet hour after 10 PM because the courtyard in between echoes it makes it very loud in the rooms Again, I’m not a very picky person. We drove across country from Florida to Washington state and state at many places along the way this was the second most uncomfortable place. I stayed in and we stayed quite a few budget, friendly places.

There were cool things to go on the property as well, which I would have enjoyed had I been there longer. The short wander to the river behind the property was nice and the view was beautiful. The staff was kind enough to provide me with a quiet room as requested. I would stay again. A few maintenance touch ups in the rooms would likely bring in more revenue. And more seating my the river would attract more return guests. Also, the breakfast could be improved by being more creative and offering different options. Set yourself apart from the rest in Winthrop. You won’t have much competition, but can gain a lot of advantage from small improvements. All the best!

• Grant (8/5): Nice place to stay with access to everything you need. - The room was nice enough for a dog friendly place, the free breakfast was a pleasant surprise and pretty good. Right outside of town, easy to get down there to walk around and easy access to hikes around and the north cascades park. Parking situation was alittle weird as you couldn't always get close to your room to load/unload, just a small inconveince though.

• Drena (7/5): Would atay again and wish the bedding was nicer. - Location decent and not far from town but we were there during the off season. Property rated as a 2 star and was clean but dated. Room was dated, bed was fine but not new or fancy. Polyester bedspread style and could have used more blankets. Reasonably bale for accurate rating. Pool was clean, towels at office, sauna is small and clean, hot tub clean. Property grounds were excellent for dogs with a large area for bathroom breaks. River access. Breakfast was decent and polite staff. Many outdoor options. Bedspread and one pillow smelled old. Thinner towels. Guessing family owned, expect older furniture, trim in bathroom and wall destroyed by a dog and painted over instead of replacing. Kept my shoes on most of the time.

• 0mitchellv (10/5): Great Place in Winthrop! - I'm a logistics manager for a local contracting company, and have had projects in the area throughout the summer. Between AbbyCreek Inn's flexibility and A+ communication, it feels like an understatement to say this is a great place to stay! The employees are always courteous over the phone and from what my staff have reported, the rooms are always clean and ready to go for check-in. Definitely recommend!
