Guest Reviews
- Sam (7/5): -
- KOZINSKA (1/5): - Nothing Dirty, poor facilities, bad smell, bathroom
- Joann (5/5): -
- Ernest (4/5): - NOT AS ADVERTISED! Pools were closed. Hot tub was not working and empty. TV did not work. Everything felt old and tired like it was stuck in the 1970s. It was disappointing. Won’t be returning.
- Roberto (4/5): - The check-in lady was very rude, grouchy and unprofessional. She made me feel unwelcome right from the start and actually got upset at me that she couldn’t find the reservation. The man at reception was much more polite I saw at check out.
Room was clean but no basic extras like coffee maker, tissues, hair dryer and towels weren’t changed even after multi day stay. They didn’t even offer a kettle we could borrow. Shower hardware falling apart and water pressure is painful on skin. Flat pillows and only one per guest. There was even a chicken walking loose in parking lot.
Keep expectations low and it might be ok but better hotels nearby at the price we paid.
- Sorin (7/5): -
- Donna (8/5): - Some safety issues in Washroom
- Sean (10/5): -
- ALEXEY (8/5): - This is an old motel but everything worked out well for us price wise, because we weren't looking for luxury but just for a place to sleep and enjoy the lake.
The air conditioner did the job, but was noisy. Swimming pool and hot tub are clean, barbecue worked and parking was always available. Would come back again.
- Frank (10/5): - .
- Jonathan (10/5): - Fun place to stay. Great beach
- Magda (8/5): - Based on the negative reviews I was nervous staying here but was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay again. The owners were polite and friendly. A/C worked really well! Didn’t use the outdoor pool but it looked clean and well maintained. The jacuzzi was great! (Just wish it was open later than 10pm). Excellent lake front location, easy walk to the “city centre”, cafes, pubs. We had a queen size room - it was spacious and clean enough. The property is definitely outdated and the mattress was on the hard side so next time I would bring a mattress topper or a thick duvet but the price and location makes it worth it. We ended up bringing our own bedding (just in case:) and it was a good call as the pillows were small and soft, sheet was sliding off the mattress and the duvet has seen some miles. Little bar fridge worked well and was quiet. Good water pressure in the bathroom. With a little bit of extra preparation and not overly high expectations this is a great little local motel.
- Tracey (8/5): Relaxing stay and reasonable rates - Close to the beach.
- nail (10/5): - clean
- Joy (10/5): -
- Margot (2/5): - D
- Werner (7/5): - Gut, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Pool defekt
- Reed (9/5): Superb - Everything, great place families, couple, NO loud music, everyone respectful of each other.
Pluses beach access and 2 BBQs to use for free To be honest. Nothing, everyone is fun..enjoying their vacations. =regular people, families etc
Have a great time there, NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE...LOVED IT, VERY RELAXING
- Nicki (5/5): The hotel was dated but very clean, needs new beds and maybe some new bedding. - The owners were amazing, very accommodating, very friendly! The hotel is quite dated and the bed was terrible. Definitely needs new bedding. But it was very clean!
- Lorna (6/5): - The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the beach. Close to dining and shopping. It is great that the hotel has a pool. The hotel/room is older the bed was very uncomfortable. It is a good place for the price.
- Ji (1/5): I will avoid this hotel next time. - Good location. Beaches, parks, lakeshore walks, orchards closeby. Hiar on bedsheets, beds smelling unclean, furniture falling apart, shower head not working, facilities look old and cheap, staff not willing to help.( She seemed inpatient answering my questions. ) swimming pool not open.
- Tony (4/5): In the right spot, I guess. - The location is fantastic The property is run down. The pool is locked, covered, and obviously not available. The toilet didn't flush until I adjusted it myself. The shower wasn't consistently warm. The bed was uncomfortable.
- Karin (4/5): Disappointing - The hotel is right on the beach It is very old and urgently needs an upgrade
- David (3/5): Sucked balls. - Not much... An air conditioner that is cool and quiet. Ours had a sporadic high pitched whine....needs repairs...
- Brian (5/5): room was ok but i went there for the advertised hot tub, it was not working, not been for a while - decent price, actual separate bedroom was nice, had the weather been better we would have enjoyed the pool and beach, pool was closed the advertised a hot tub, the reason we picked that place over others near by and same price.. the manager was quit rude and indicated he could not fix the tub. had i known this i would have gone to another hotel
- Kenny (1/5): Bad - It was closed. Nobody there. Had to find another place
- June (7/5): Good - We liked that there was a pub that was 5 min walk away and the motel was on the beach! It's an older motel but it was clean.
- Julie (4/5): Better than sleeping in your car...I guess - Great price and location. No deposit was required. easy check out. The mattress and box spring had old blood stains. lots of random hair and cobwebs in the room. The room was quite tiny and had french doors (for entry) the only window was in the bathroom. When we entered the smell of cheap dollarstore air freshener was overwhelming. We had to sleep with the french door open all night to get any fresh air. The tv was on top of the bar fridge which was incredibly unsteady. wouldn't take much to knock it over accidentally.
no coffee maker.
- Juliana (5/5): Passable - It was an excellent location. There was no microwave.
There was no shampoo.
- Rene (7/5): Decent Vslue in low season. - Location Towels without holes in them would be nice.
- Tim (7/5): Good - Good value for the money. Don't eat at the coffee shop across the street - got food poisoning.
- Kim (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean and beds were comfortable but very very basic rooms. No microwave, no coffee maker, no shampoo. Toilet barely flushed so we were always worried about using it. Hot water took forever to come through. Thin pillows
- Dureski (8/5): Very reasonable priced. - This room was the most reasonable priced accommodation along Highway 3 across BC. The room was very basic, but clean and comfortable. Although I stayed here on a cold March night, this property would be a great family stay in the summer with its own generous amount of beach access and immediate access to walking along the causeway.
- David (3/5): Clean but COLD! - Good location and easy to find.
Room was very clean. It was COLD. I turned the heat on at 9pm when I got there. By 6:30 am it was warm enough in bed that I could take my fleece and toque off. The sandbags in the back of my truck would be more comfortable than their pillows. No coffee maker? Well okay. No clock? Okay, I guess, but no heat? I would only recommend this place to a polar bear.
- Tim (6/5): Nice and clean budget accommodation. - Very clean, basic accommodation, reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable. The rooms are a bit run down, and in need of an update. The bathroom was ok.
- Marc (7/5): Good -
- Courtney (8/5): - Property has an amazing location with 2 pools that are well maintained. It is steps from the lake what more can you ask for. Our room was clean. Aside from what everyone said the owner who works behind the desk is a very nice man. He is older and you can tell has worked his whole life, just isn’t super chatty or super friendly. But once you get talking to him he is very kind and polite.
The beds are very very hard. If you like a hard bed this would be your dream hotel. I brought my own pillows which I would suggest at most hotels since motels generally have junk pillows.
If your looking for a budget friendly place to rest your head then I’d recommend the Spanish fiesta, if you prefer nicer accommodations I’d suggest booking somewhere more expensive
- Verified traveler (2/5): Spanish Fiasco - Filthy room. No housekeeping during stay. Nicotine stained drapes and walls. Holes in wall. Bathroom faucet and shower horrible. Stained mattress. Bedsheets had tears. AC filter warning light on.
- Chris (2/5): Spanish Fiasco - Filthy room. No housekeeping during stay. Nicotine stained drapes and walls. Holes in wall. Bathroom faucet and shower horrible. Stained mattress. Bedsheets had tears. AC filter warning light on.
- Catherine (2/5): Should be renamed to Smokers Fiesta - Overall pretty awful. The most unfriendly staff we have ever encountered, guests smoking everywhere on the property, no way to escape it. The beach is littered with cigarettes & never raked. Room was absolutely filthy, mattress was dirty & hard, couldn't have been a cheaper mattress. No bbq utensils, just over all awful. Osoyoos is gorgeous but this place is totally terrible!
- Cassie (4/5): - Loved the beach access and the clean pool, hated everything else! This hotel was the worst I’ve ever stayed at. Room was full of cobwebs and spiders. I woke up every morning with spiders crawling on me in the bed, multiple spiders. The sheets didn’t fit the bed, two flat sheets and not fitted sheet on the mattress. The mattress and box spring were original to the hotel from the 1970’s. The toilet leaked all over the floor. It was clear that the room had not been used or cleaned in a very long time. The owner gave us a bag of rags to clean up the toilet water. We had to ask for remotes for the tv, those were missing upon our arrival. You’d also be wise to remove all valuables from the room, every time you leave. No joke.
- Olivia (4/5): - You get what you pay for, definitely one of the cheapest places in Osoyoos for a reason. No amenities in the rooms at all, old and outdated facility, cleanliness questionable, wouldn't recommend for a family. The shower is hard to use unless you are under 5"5. Location is great, but probably wouldn't stay here again. Staff is unfriendly, seemed annoyed at us just for checking in.
- Kimberly (10/5): Great experience - Rooms were clean, bed were comfortable. Location was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back. The hot tub really needed a clean but it was being used alot.
- Mark (8/5): - Great location , small motel that is great bang for the buck on the osoyoos strip on the lake . Great value compared to immediate competitors
- Meredith (6/5): - Omg this was such a wonderful vacation. It was so welcoming, there was even a family of spiders (including cousins, twice removed aunts, Uncle Jorge, etc)! It’s like the little guys knew I was missing my own pet so they filled in!
The shower itself was so amazing. I really loved how the water temperature was like its own strobe light! On-off on-off! It made showering super fun and interesting. The coat of green mold in the bathroom was such a nice touch. If only they had the glowing kind of radioactive mold, it would’ve added to the experience! They did have mold though so that’s at least a nice decoration. Oh! I can’t forget about the anti-slip flowers in the bottom of the tub! The resort decided they look better ripped off with the exposed tub underneath! We loved the design choice! So unique!
We loved the way the bed didn’t have sheets so we could add our own style! It was so thoughtful of the resort. It was extra special that the TV in the room my friends were staying in wouldn’t turn on or work, so we had an excuse to have a movie night together! We ended up playing cards instead because we got a whole 22 channels and 19 of them were American news, which is amazing and SO informative, but cards were just so much more fun! It really was a blast! I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for something cheap and will keep you entertained for every minute you’re there!*
*up to 8 minutes at a time, the rest is up to you.
- Chris (8/5): Looking for a beach on a lake? This is your place. - It was exactly what you would expect from a resort with a low rating. I didn't spend anytime in the room it's self other than to sleep. Room Was not 100% cleaned from the last people but the lake was warm and sun was out. Better than tenting it.
- Cam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (5/5): Passable - The room needed a much better cleaning. The head board over the bed was dirty and so was the shower tub surround. The air conditioning unit insulation was missing and therefore bugs had free range to move in and out of the room. I tried plugging the hole with a dry wash cloth. All you need to do is get some spray foam in a can done at the hardware store and fill the gap. The weather stripping on the bottom of the door fell off when I first opened up the room, I gave the part to the clerk at the front desk. see above.
- Jacklyn (3/5): trip was fun, motel was okay, no sheets on the bed was a big turn off, dirty mattress - good location and decent price bed was super uncomfortable and did not have a fitted sheet. flat sheet kept falling off in the night leaving us sleeping on the bare mattress, which was stained and dirty
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value - Good value for the price
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant - location was good. hot tub was nice, pleasant staff. bed was not comfortable, need new pillows
- Nicholas (4/5): - Cheaply made and very out of date.
- Sylvia (5/5): Overall the stay wasn’t terrible just i guess i was expecting little more spacious rooms. - The only thing I liked about this property was that is close to the beach literally few steps from it. Personally the beds were very uncomfortable i have upgraded my room from two double beds to a two queen beds with a kitchen but basically what I’ve got was a sink stove and a fridge. Very small bedroom with no closet to hang my clothes. Be prepared to bring your own toiletries, lucky me I always do because all you get is towels and a hand soap.
- Sherri (7/5): Good - Close to the beach, had a kitchen No microwave, no kettle although there was a tea pot. Took over.5 minutes to get hot water to the kitchen.
- Tdstep (2/5): Bad example of a stay that was advertised - The owner was very rude at arrival claiming we came there because the rate first visit for us paid in full three days it was night time he put us in falcon side not the Spanish aside stating it was more expensive then what the Side he had us in gave him my business card and said what u think if if I buy my stuff people would come more not went in the room men’s underware in bathroom garbage it was late we went right to bed we enjoyed the day later went to the beach he stated it was best beach it was very uncleared water we checked out day early and he was mad refueled to listen just yelled typical tourist the weather changes and u leave not true refused to refund me the last day i told him what he did putting us in a different building and the uncleared room never use the online booking again
- Emiel (4/5): - Carpets and floors were filthy, stained. All fernishings were super old. Dishes in kitchen suite were not clean. I will say the sheets and towels were clean but the sheets did not fit the bed. Pillows were so well used they were flat.
- Jessy (4/5): Probably won't be back to have a fiesta here - Nice seating areas, beachfront, nice atmosphere plus very small a off to the side of the main strip. Oh and an AC Bathroom was dirty, hair hanging from mirror, tub didn't drain proper nor did the toilet which I fixed. All room Walls and everything is poorly painted, bathroom had drywall missing behind the door. Cleaning of the room could be done better as there was Cobb webs on alot of items, and stove drawer was very dirty. remote had a missing back and one table had wobbly legs which I also fixed outdoor table was not sturdy.
- Dayle (1/5): We switched to the falcon hotel which is the same owners but better conditions. Will not stay here again. - The location and the beach The room was filthy. Used soap bars on the floor, spiders everywhere, and maggots in the bed. There was also no parking available.
- Stuart (8/5): - The property and the rooms are on the older side but has great location and beautiful beach. Had a lot of fun at this Motel.
- Scott (10/5): Magical, and relaxing. - The owner is a genuinely decent man. The lake is a gem, as-is the town. This place is legendary. Leaving.
- Sorin (7/5): Good -
- jilleenggg (2/5): She's a beaut. - If you are looking for a nice beach, and a place for your family to feel at home - this place is great for that. Very chill atmosphere. Can drop anchor from your boat and walk in (up to your hips). Can let your kids run free on scooters and swim in the pool for hours, this is the place. If you like a clean room with housekeeping, a stocked kitchen, no spiders, clean sheets and towels, ice machine, coffee maker - or any of the regular immenities a hotel would have ...this is not the place for you. This was our second stay in 3 years and whoa have things gone downhill. Many of the guests there have been coming for years, and this place definitely attracts a crowd that knows the deal. If you want clean sheets, then you'll have to wait until noon when they put a bin the parking lot for you to exchange yours and take new ones. Once those are gone and you ask for towels the extremely rude owner lady will yell at you that "this isn't a changing room" (not sure what that means) and your basically on your own for clean towels and sheet. The other owner, the man, is grumpy and for sure waiting for the day a developer calls. He already doesn't like you if youve booked with an online site, wants you to call and book with him. Said the ones who book online, get the worst rooms. Its one of the cheapest places on the lake, so you get what you pay for. Our mattress, i'm guessing are from 1974 when they built the place- and have the accompanying stains to go along. These are no queens, doubles at best. Pillows aren't horrible, you get the standard sheet, brown fleece blanket and the top blanket that I wouldn't touch. Kitchen comes complete with 1-3 pans that in their hay day were non stick - circa 2000. Comes with rust and scratches galore. Lucky if there are 3 plates (re clean them...) 2-4 cutlery items. Def bring your own. Outside there are 5 BBQ's that did the trick. Grassy area with picknik tables, but did notice some of guest left their chairs and blankets etc for the week and used them exclusively for their own. Again, very chill. Most of the guests are repeats. Its a good location to walk to town (10 - 15 mins) or 10 mins to Rattlesnake canyon. And right on the beach. If your out all day and not using the beach this is not the place. If you want to sit on your beach chair and watch your 7 kids play and run in the shallow water whilst drinking white claws. Then this place is it. Bring your own bedding, kitchen supplies, and do a solid clean of your own when you get there. Pack for camping, bring everything. Hope this helps!
- Tatiana (7/5): Not bad - Sandy beach, central location No coffee anywhere around
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Green (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant -
- timothy (8/5): - Checking in was easy. Staff were friendly. Access to the beach, salt swimming pool and spa were fantastic.
On the down side;
The air conditioners are small and were working full time from the time we turned them on until we left, trying (and not succeeding) to keep the room below 20 degrees. Other guests remarked the same.
We did not read the details closely and were disappointed to find no coffee or coffee maker, Ice was available at $5 a bag, and no microwave or clock.
Junction 3 coffee house (across the highway, is great). A cross walk nearby would have been preferable.
Despite a number of empty rooms, we were placed in an upper room directly facing the sun. All rooms have patio door type entrances directly facing the beds, so you need to keep the curtains closed tight to avoid looky- looos.
All in all, the hotel was nice. Cool clean pool. nice beach. access to barbecues and picnic benches.
Yes we would stay there again.
- Angela (4/5): - Owners were very rude
- Teresita (1/5): Bad -
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable - Air conditioning and the beach and the pool
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Landon (2/5): Very poor - It has a private beach. Close to activities and some restaurants. Run down. Poorly maintained. LOUD ac units . You can’t hear the tv over the ac. Bring your own pillow.
- Henry (5/5): Passable -
- Stephen (6/5): Good location off highway with beach access and adjacent restaurant. Bring your own toiletries. - Good location off highway with beach access, adjacent restaurant. Quiet room with kitchenette. Slept well. Stair access to second floor may not be suitable for older travellers. Room was too hot. Low shower head. No shampoo or conditioner provided.
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Ns (1/5): Very dusty, no tooth brush, AC wasn’t working. Staff not friendly at all! - old and stinky not clean at all specially the floors
- Helena (9/5): Safe, clean, quiet, comfortable with great location and beach front. - I liked location, clean comfortable room, quiet weekend, working fridge and air conditioner. It was super to have beach so close! Price was good for this. If this same price applied, it would be better to have better, heavier bed cover and cooking stove working. But it was all good for that price. Very nice, accommodating office.
- Linda (6/5): - The property is in a good location and is right on the beach. The price is right as long as you don’t care about anything else. The suites are not well stocked with dishes ie: no coffee maker in the room. None of the kitchen cabinets closed and the drawer of the stove was broken. The rooms were relatively clean but there was no hot water at all. Most of what out door furniture there was, was in disrepair or broken. A completely unremarkable motel but the price is right and location is great.
- Kelsi (9/5): was an enjoyable stay with very friendly and welcoming staff - quiet, nice staff and clean the beds and pillows were really hard and uncomfortable
- Vishal (5/5): management management could care less - easy access to the beach too many bugs, lack of maintenance
- Shilpika (8/5): - Not too busy.
- Tyler (7/5): nothing fancy. just a place to drop your stuff and explore the town - you get what you pay for. no bells or whistles. just your basic accommodation. hot tub was closed
- Kerry (5/5): Great location, needs lots of updating. - Anything in Osoyoos that is close to lake is great so location was great. Little effort has been put into updating this motel and beds, are uncomfortable and inside areas need lots of updating.
- Malika (6/5): - Not busy and quiet
- Tom (1/5): Horrible Place - TThere was nothing about this hotel other than you had the water right there. Everything else there was terrible. Save your money and spend a bit more and stay anywhere but this place. Staff is not friendly This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at
the staff was rude rooms werent cleaned right and the bed was the worst thing I have ever slept in. There was no ammenties close by and the facility was not nice and the staff would rather yell at you than discuss anything. Horrible Place pay the extra and dont stay there
- James (5/5): Passable -
- Koreen (5/5): Passable -
- Courtenay (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michie222 (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gregory (3/5): Poor - No microwave or coffee maker. When I asked for one, he pointed to a restaurant. Expensive too, for a "sleeping room."
- Mik (7/5): Good value - Price, location Pillows
- Dykstra (3/5): Poor - Location was great. Did not feel welcome. No coffee maker, no kettle. Pool and hot tub closed for the season on the 15th September. Door locks didn't work properly. Apparently replaced but not installed properly. 😕
- Carlos (5/5): this place was good because was very close to the water however need a facelift and new appliances - it is very close to the water however no chairs in the beach nor umbrellas. you have to bring your own. the bed was confortable. good restaurant all around. they have a pool with warm water and a jacuzzi Enjoy the park with the gocarts that was close to the hotel . the water on the lake is the warmest in Canada. TV was not working at all. Fridge had to be unplug at night since was making a lot of noise. Air conditioning was very noisy too. the tails underneath the bathtub were broken you could feel them moving as you shift you weight while showering. the room needs a long due renovation. the manager needs a brush up in his customer service skills. he needs to smile more and make tourist to feel more welcome. he should not complain abut the way the online companies book or overbook customers it is not the clients fault.
- Julie (7/5): Mixed reviews - Didn't find the breakfast. But the location was amazing right on the beach. The bathroom faucet and mirror was dirty, there were hairs in the bed linens.
- Tracy (8/5): - This is not a property I would normally stay in but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and quiet. The beds were very hard though. Would I stay again?? Probably not but it was good for what we needed at the time.
- Michael (1/5): Terrible facilities. Even worse management - Literally nothing.anywhere else would’ve been better We woke up with massive bug bites and tore off the sheets to find thousands of ants crawling in the mattress and when I brought this to the attention of the manager he tried to blame us for the ants and said we brought them with us? Had to fight to get a new room and he nearly kicked us out when we told him we expected to be refunded for the night that we slept in a bed full of bugs. Do not go to this hotel. Terrible facilities with even worse management
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (1/5): Bad - No breakfast, but the location was okay. Doing renovation, do some cleaning, and get rid of the disgusting smell.it was terrible ,never ever again.
