• Luke (10/5): Only stayed one night, clean tidy, good location & Beach front. - Beach front, sunset spot, bungalows clean & tidy. Can’t ask for more, family run, good lactation for full moon party, just far enough away from the madness. The bungalows had padlocks to lock the doors, clearly aged but fine. Told to wash off paint before getting into bed if attending full moon. Understandable. Pool water needs some chlorine of treatment alittle murky but fine.

• Ellen (8/5): Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Abstrichen - Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Die Bungalows sind sehr schön und verfügen über eine großzügige, angenehme Terrasse. Das Badezimmer war in Ordnung. Die Aussicht von unserem Bungalow war besonders gut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool ist schön gestaltet und liegt direkt am Meer. Bei Ebbe sind lange Strandspaziergänge problemlos möglich – wirklich toll. Roller werden auf Wunsch direkt zur Unterkunft gebracht, was sehr praktisch ist. Restaurants, Geschäfte sowie Essens- und Trinkmöglichkeiten erreicht man in etwa 5 Minuten mit dem Roller. Das Restaurant wird von der Mutter der Besitzer betrieben, sie ist jedoch nicht immer verfügbar. Daher ist es nicht zu jeder Zeit möglich, dort zu essen. • Sepp (7/5): - Der Strand ist zum Teil sehr steinig. Im Meer kann man nur bei Hochwasser baden. Das Wasser ist nicht sehr klar. Schnorcheln kann man vergessen. Der Fernseher hat die ganze Zeit nicht funktioniert. Der Pool war nicht mit klarem Wasser gefüllt. Man benötigt ein Fahrzeug um ins Resturant zu kommen.

• George (10/5): a beautiful resort absolutely a delight, best view and fantastic staff - What a lovely hotel. super attentive owner who took care of us down to the last detail. beautiful surroundings, very nice layout of the houses. and garden well maintained. lots of houses with sea view, completely in line with the feng sui philosophy, really beautiful sunset from your bed. beautiful balconies with comfortable chairs. lovely swimming pool on the beach. Really a paradise. The inside of some houses is a bit dated but still well maintained. They are busy updating the houses one by one. Really enjoyed myself, feel really good here with a super sweet owner who works hard with her mother to do everything right. in short, we really can recommend this resort. Small improvements but they are being worked on hard. Furthermore, I would rather spend my money with a small entrepreneur than with a Resort where an investor is behind it and the CEO collects his annual bonus from 5 times a normal annual salary.

• Bestie (3/5): Not recommended - Location is good for full moon party Its definitely not good for money, we stayed one night to go full moon party thats why you paying too much, but if you dont have to stay dont stay basically. We booked on booking.com with prepayment, hotel didnt collect the money via booking, and they told us we have to pay cash or card (with card extra 2-3%) so because ı didnt have the cash (as obviously ı paid on booking they should collect from there ı dont need to cary cash that much) ı had to pay with card and ı paid more than ı should. Its £ to me and its not much for me but if you go from somewhere which money exchange rate is not like £ you have to pay more. Its not fair. Room is not good, really poor quality. Not recommended unless you have to stay.

Amazing beachfront location. Beach is clean and quiet. Beautiful sunset. - Completely overpriced. Super expensive for its real value. - Really low quality facilities. - Old and uncomfortable mattress, pillows, towels and sheets. - Too small and underpowered water heater. - Obsolete design. It seemed like no one had stayed at the hotel in 35 years. - Poor cleaning. Terrace was dirty with cigarette butts from previous guests on the floor and dirty bathtub with hairs.

• 659parvs (2/5): Orchid Phangan, not so fun!! - A Resort with No housekeeping, No staff, and guess what no phones in the room. You cannot order anything in the room. The amenities in the room are next to Nothing, A television 30 years old. Ac which cannot keep the room cool. I paid. 3000 Baht almost for a single room for one day and I did not like it at all.

• Darren (3/5): Really disapointing - The views were good. Location ok, 10 mins to either Haad Rin or Thong Sala. Pool area was nice. Rooms desperately need modernising, furniture was old and beds not very comfy. Shower was in a bath which was stained/looked dirty, and the electric shower didn’t work so we had cold showers. They tried to fix it but it didn’t work. If the room was cheap, I wouldn’t mind the fact it was a bit dated - but as it was New Year’s Eve, they cranked the prices up and we paid around $250 a night for this when on normal dates it’s more like $30 a night. I guess all places put up prices during peak periods but I felt like we paid way over the odds, and didn’t even have hot water to shower which was really disappointing. The worst part was that the room lock is just a padlock. When you’re in the room you have to padlock yourself in, and then put the key in the key slot to turn the power on. Didn’t feel very safe or secure, especially if there was a fire and you needed to get out quickly. The owners really need to invest a bit of money and fix some of the issues if they want more guests. I would not stay here again and would not recommend.

Owners helped us with whatever we needed. They also had a jeep and offered to drop us to the party. The place served the purpose of our visit.

• Rok (7/5): great bungalow, bad staff - exellent location and comfortable bungalow the staff didnt seem to care we were there. they didnt clean the room once. did not reffil our toilet paper or shower gel so we had to go get it ourselfs. even then they didnt want to give it to us only one role at a time. the scooter they rented us was in bad condition with leaking brake fluid.

You’ll need to get a taxi which the hotel provided for 100 baht per person (which was cheaper than any other taxi). The lock on the door was just a big old padlock which doubt provided much safety. The staff at reception did offer to hold passports and other valuables for you.

• sandramZ4856OW (6/5): depending where your room is located - make sure you get a room close to the pool or beach. Otherwise you are located next to the busy road. Room only ok, i have seen better ones which have equal prices. It is about a 10 min. drive to the Fullmoon Party.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Déçus - Plage super moche, impossible de s’y baigner. Sable dégueulasse, pas beaucoup de chaises longues au bord de la piscine. Eau de la piscine chaude donc impossible de s’y rafraîchir. Personnel pas très chaleureux, très long à servir, compter 1heure avant d’avoir votre plat. Chambre avec clim qui fonctionne mal, douche qui fuit, impossible de changer là température de l’eau dans la douche, elle dépend de la température extérieur : en journée l’eau est brûlante et la nuit l’eau est gelé. Le lit n’est pas du tout confortable et les oreiller sont très gros donc mal de nuque assuré au réveil. Seul point positif : pas très loin de là full moon.

• STUART (6/5): A pleasant if average experience - It was peak period and so the area and Hotel were very busy and therefore service levels while fine were not great but nothing to complain about either. It is in a scenic central location but it can get noisy but it was acceptably clean and well maintained and good value for this time in the area we stayed and proximity to Full moon party area etc.. In short:-.Pleasant but nothing to rave about in any way. Obviously some improvement is needed.
• travelcharliebug (6/5): Lovely owner - The rooms are spacious and clean, nicely decorated. Pool large and we had it to ourselves because of low season. Didn't try the restaurant as we ate out every night. Hire a bike if you're staying here because its 10/15 minutes in either direction to the busier towns. Chatted to the owner and she was just lovely and interesting. Took a while to check in (didn't know where the staff were) Bed was comfortable, nice shower and balcony area but very thin curtains.
• BristolCity0820 (4/5): Rubbish - I was really disappointed with my stay here. I’ll begin with the rooms, they were so light, the ‘curtains’ were basically 3 large bed sheets. There was a light outside our rooms that was on 24/7 and you couldn’t turn it off. The rooms were very run down and the shower was cold 2/3 nights! The swimming pool was so cloudy there was no way I was getting in there, you couldn’t even see the bottom. The beach and sea Infront the hotel is a waste of time, very rocky! The staff were very rude when we were leaving saying we owed money for a few drinks which none of us recall! Our food was also bang average! No motorbikes to rent! We asked our room to be cleaned on the second night but it wasn’t. A few positives - taxis to wherever around the island was very easy and simple, if you walk left along the beach you can find yourself your own little bit of paradise. Only good for location of full moon party (nothing around the hotel whatsoever). Security, they have storage lockers by reception. Laundry, cheap! Overall - STAY ELSEWHERE!!
• Anuminja (6/5): OK, but you need scooter or transport to move around - A decent hotel just off the beaten track. The rooms are neat, even they need updating. The hotel had just 1-2 other customers besides us, so the atmosphere was sleepy and calm. The bungalows' terrace has a magnificent view of the sea. Service was friendly. The staff helped us with renting scooters, ticket purchase, laundry service and more.
• DrewG33 (8/5): An amazing experience - Travelled to Phangan with 3 friends for NYE and stayed at Orchid throughout our 7 day trip. This resort is about a 10 min taxi ride to the main party area which is key if you want a nice quiet place to recover from the craziness at night. We got a balcony room on the second floor of a bungalow that had the best sunset views i've ever seen. Room wise it's pretty basic and comfortable but the view more than made up for everything you wouldn't need. Food was decent and the family running the resort were chill and not overtly friendly, which was nice for privacy. On NYE itself we were recommended by the lady boss to keep our important items at the main office due to potential break ins as everyone would be on the beach partying. We did so and retrieved our money and passports without any issues when we got back. There was also an older man who patrolled the grounds at night to make sure everything was okay. Felt safe throughout. One thing that happened was that there was an island blackout one night but orchid had its own back up generators and we had power within 15 mins so all was good. Definitely recommend this place.

• gabinka111 (4/5): overpriced and below-average - Very beautiful place (20 years ago :-)))..Nice garden, pool and sea view, but averything is old there. Rooms are as clean as possible and for 1 night stay good enough. Location is in the middle of nowhere, 7 km from pier and 3 km to Full mool party, but on the other hand quiet and pieceful. Staff is not much professional, but ok and food is not impressive.
• Carmensnippets (8/5): Very nice, comfortable stay - We booked and paid for this resort after seeing some of the bad ratings so we arrived with very little expectation. We were pleasantly surprised. We booked 2 rooms, which were VERY spacious, clean, and quaint. The staff were professional and helpful. They are not overly friendly like some resorts in Thailand, but we prefer to be left alone during our stay so we did not problem with the service - we had everything we needed. It's absolutely beautiful and peaceful, I couldn't get enough of the view. It's right on the ocean, and sunsets with their fresh juices / cocktails in the pool, are just spectacular. If you are looking to stay among the parties on Haad Rin and want to be walking distance from shops/restaurants etc, then this is not for you. It's a short taxi drive away. If you want really good value for money, peace and quiet, and reasonable access to the parties, then this I would recommend this.
• resnati (6/5): NIce place - nice rooms ...not cheap as usually in Thailand but we spent some good nights here. Staff is not professional and food is not impressive. you can find cheaper places but the swimming pool was ok and far from the mess....
