- walter (8/5): - Also stayed a few years ago- it had not changed much. I think a refresh is in order. Street side is noisy. The lighting is dim. Electrical outlets inconveniently placed on the headboard. Turn-around shower. TV control is strange and Wi-Fi is weak. Very clean. Staff is nice.

- Pierre (8/5): - Room was a good size and very clean. Good climate control. Quiet for the most part. Breakfast was okay, with a buffet of Mexican cuisine and custom made eggs and pancakes. Would have been nice to have some regular croissants and whole wheat bread.
- ANDREW (6/5): Nice location, noisy rooms, clueless staff - We had to change rooms because our first room, although having a great view, had a horrible noise problem. It was mostly due to poor insulation. The windows in this hotel do not fully seal. Our next room had the same issue but it wasn’t facing the street so it was quieter and of course now no view. I also asked for tissues 4 times for my girlfriend who didnt feel well and they kept saying they would bring it up and never did. When I told them about this at check out they said they thought I said tshirt. I don’t really believe this though because each time I asked I made the movement for sneezing. Otherwise the hotel is nice and in a good location close to restaurants and transportation.

Only downside of room was no mini frig, but I think that’s just not common in hotels in Mexico. Excellent and highly recommend!

I was informed that payment to the hotel had not been issued, despite having prepaid for the room. The hotel required that I contact Hotels.com to rectify the issue. This took about 45 mins of my time.

- Tracy Lane (10/5): - Fabulous location; walkable and safe. Our room was clean, large and comfortable. Hotel’s restaurant, Riscal, had great food and reasonable prices. The hotel lounge, Stir, offers a craft cocktail experience with expert mixologists! Would definitely recommend and return!
- Bryan (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marbella. The hotel and staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They upgraded our room when we arrived due to our room not being ready and gave us complimentary drinks at their bar. The suite hotel room was very spacious and very comfortable. The one complaint that we had was the toilet in the bathroom was positioned awkwardly so that the top couldn’t go all the way up. Again very minor inconvenience. Location was great, right in front of a metro train stop, and very walkable to other popular areas (like 15 minutes). But also very easy to order ubers. If you’re looking for an affordable option for a hotel with a good location can’t recommend enough.

Truly impressed with the cleaning procedures as the staff actually pulled the mattress while cleaning the room next to us. The bed could be a little softer but would definitely recommend and stay again!

If you are planning to use the subway it is very conveniently located two blocks from the line 3 station. Two blocks from nice restaurants and bars of Roma. The immediate area is not charming but just a few blocks away from the very nice area of Roma.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, the air conditioning worked, and I am completely satisfied with our stay. With Uber we could get wherever we wanted to go safely and easily. If I travel to Mexico City again, I will likely stay at Hotel Marbella.

That included arranging same day laundry service and arranging my taxi for the airport. By far one of the best places I have ever stayed in CDMX!
- Stephanie (8/5): - Convenient location for metro 3 which lets you explore some key points of interests. Entrance and lobby are very nice, Rooms are not luxurious but spacious. Just be aware that the A/C is loud but it actually helped us as it drowned out the street noises at night ( cars, ambulances as the hotel is next to hospital). Breakfast is the same every day which is a shame but has options for everyone and staff is nice.

- Lizeth (6/5): - The rooms are ok. Reason for this was mainly about the bedding. The beds are little hard and I had a hard time getting a good nights sleep cus of this. Also, I honestly was expecting it to look a little more like the pictures. I mean it wasn’t like a super disappointment but I don’t think I would book this place again, unless I had no other options. I’ve stayed at other hotels in condesa MX and they were way more comfortable. Also! Check in is at 1, right? Well I didn’t get my room until almost 3pm! Receptionist had us waiting for almost 1 hour in the lobby. I was very upset. Worst part of all, she never called us up, I had to go to her and ask her, ummm is the room ready???? Then that’s when she was like “oh! Yes, ok let’s check you in”.

Although clean, the room carpet was disgusting, AC noisy, there were repeated issues with a toilet - not to get into details lol. At best this is an average, outdated hotel. If you can afford more than $60-70/night, do yourself a favor and book something nicer.

- Judy (4/5): Not Happy Customer - For most of my stay, my lock did not work to where I was locked outside of my room. I had to continue to ask to be let into my room. Once my lock completely did not work then finally agreed to transfer me into another room. The first room it was hard to sleep in, I kept hearing noises from the pipe. It looks like they are short staffed. My floor had many rooms that had the doors open that needed cleaning.

The second room. The safe worked. The bed was good. The air conditioner did not work. The third and fourth night they changed us to a suite. Huge room. The air worked. The safe was good. Very nice. The bed was rock hard. The staff really tried their best. The property owners just need to invest in the property. The team was excellent.

The pictures were deceiving, the hotel wasn’t as nice as it looked. They only put one tiny toilet paper roll which was very annoying, especially with the street food in Mexico (if you know what I mean haha). The pillows were flat and uncomfortable, I wasn’t able to sleep at all in that room. Overall, it felt like a below average hotel which is not what I expected, but I guess I should’ve figured with the price, I just thought Mexico was that cheap. Lesson learned. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless this is your budget and you can’t find anything better for the location.

And despite it being very clean. The room we were given need updates. Peeling paint in our bathroom. Older furnishings that were patched. Has potential for improving.
