Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. - Kimberly (6/5): - This place is definitely a crash pad for weary fishermen. It's an old, small, no-frills seen better days kind of place. Someone's dirty clothes were still in a drawer. A loaded mousetrap was visible under the bedside table. Definitely overpriced for what you get but in line with the other old dives in town.
- LEROY (10/5): - I stayed here on the last night of a long trip from Alaska, and it was very comfortable. This is not the Ritz. It's more like staying over at Grandma's house. But it is very clean and very comfortable. The manager is super nice and helpful. I had everything I owned in the back of my truck, and I was able to back up to the door of my room. The parking area is easy to maneuver longbed crewcab pickup, and there's a place you could park with a trailer.

The restaurants in the area are fair, not amazing. The Mexican restaurant the manager suggested was closed (Monday eve. ?) Ate at Bridgeport inn (3.5 on a 5 scale)

- Earl (8/5): - I liked our stay in an older facility that is well maintained and very clean. Very kind and courteous staff. The surrounding area is some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. The town doesn’t have a lot of services. Most everything closes up by 8 pm. All in all it was pleasant.

The rooms were older, but that was expected. The bathroom had a couple bars of used soap and a pubic hair, which didn’t make us feel that great. In a pinch, I would probably stay here again.

This was a pet friendly room so taking that into consideration but the room could have been cleaner and the outside grounds had dog poop in the gazebo & lawn area everywhere.

- Connector54018926773 (2/5): Recently stayed 3 nights - In all fairness the motel is adequate a bit in need of updating but comfortable. My complaint is the elderly office host. She is unfriendly, rude, mean & nasty. Never came across anyone so off the rails with customers. When we arrived pulling a small ATV trailer she literally accosted us asking what we were planning to do with that junk don’t even think about parking it here. (It’s a new trailer with 2 Yamaha ATV) I said just wanted to confirm our reservations and leave for the afternoon. It was 11:00 AM she refused to even help said to come back in couple hours when she has more time. We heard similar complaints of mean & rudeness from other people staying there as well. I want to be clear Last year we stayed there greeted by a young lady who was the host an absolutely friendly delight but this old nutcase is costing the motel repeat business. I would recommend the walker inn, Ruby motel , Bridgeport inn, Virginia inn but never the Redwood again for our group.

- Anna (10/5): Nice little motel - We rolled into town a littler later than we had planned and we lucked into getting the last room this hotel had to offer. It was clean and the staff were super friendly. The room was a little dated, but that doesn't affect it's comfort.

- Darrin (8/5): Just ok - Hi , so we booked last minute the last room which was ADA ( we needed) the room was small but nice, had small tv with satellite. Seemed like a full size mattress, somewhat comfortable (but never like home ) the bath was huge with a roll in shower .But I found it odd that two shelves were mounted between the wall and sink just below the sink level . Top shelf had a coffee maker lower shelf had the coffee , creamer and cups , and the cord with small extension were wrapped around drainpipes and plugged in next to sink . The only reason I could think this was that the microwave, fridge, tv satellite were all plugged in at only wall outlet and not having room for coffee it probably blew the circuit if all were used together. Other than that I will say that I will stay here again . Also the office person was very nice and welcoming!

Desk staff is awesome, and the whole place has a kind of an old fashioned quaintness to it. I would definitely stay here again! It's within walking distance of many places to eat... I recommend the Barn. Get the asada fries!!

- markclaym (8/5): Cute Place, Comfortable Room - It's a modern, old-fashioned motel. It has that rustic look and feel but is well appointed with free Wi-Fi, lamps with USB ports, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and blow dryer. Situated at the north end of town, it is very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with walk through screens so you can leave the door open and enjoy the mountain air, and chairs outside the door so you can chill outside if you like. There is a small area with tables in a gazebo and in the open where you can eat or just chill. The room we had (#17) only had a shower, which was fine for us. The bathroom was tiny and cramped but suited our needs. The A/C unit is an older, wall mount type and made the old, single pane window rattle, but it worked well. There are plenty of AC outlets and a power strip on the table. The queen bed was very comfortable. At $122 total, it's a bit pricey, but everything in this area is pricey. Even so, I recommend it.

Plenty of accommodations and the price was just right! I also thought the three pockets near the electrical outlet was smart! The location is within walking distance to food stops and fun stores.

- JACKIE (4/5): - two queen beds in a very small room. could not move around comfortably. difficult access. Large trucks going past 24/7.
- N3655UUpeterg (4/5): Less Than Helpful - I thought I had made a reservation, but either I entered the wrong date or it got recorded wrong. They didn’t have a room. The people at the desk were not at all helpful. They were very defensive even though I tried to explain that I didn’t blame anyone, I needed some advice on finding another room. No help at all.

- Vera (8/5): - Older property, but clean. Room had microwave and fridge. Walls are rather thin - could hear guy snore nextdoor. Avoid getting gas in Bridgeport - it's crazy expensive.

- Barbara (10/5): - Great little getaway for Yosemite visit. location is great for evening walking in safe county setting. Staff was so nice.
- Ann (10/5): - We love this property but it is a basic old time fish camp motel. No frills, amenities in the town are marginal. Motel hosts are great. Be prepared to be self sufficient There is a barbecue but bring bring your own main, sides and condiments. Local market is screamingly expensive and way under gourmet. Bakery in town is very good but closes at 2. Just plan ahead

- Chris (10/5): - This is my kind of motel, good service, nice staff. Clean rooms, dog friendly. We let them know we might be late, so they left a note on the door of the office to let us know our room was open, and when we went to our room we had 2 keys, the bill to look over, sign and return to the office. Detailed, clear instructions and a sheet for our dog to lay on. Nice, clean room, one of the most comfortable bds I've slept on in a motel!! Will definitely return. A lot of fishing in this area, suited to the outdoor type. No frills, clean and comfortable.
