- herve (7/5): - Hôtel situé le long de la côte, dans une zone où les établissements sont nombreux et très proches les uns des autres. La literie est confortable et la chambre offre une vue sur la mer, avec un très beau lever de soleil. Petit déjeuner correct restaurant agréable Les chambres souffrent d’un manque d’isolation, ce qui les rend très bruyantes. On constate également la présence de sable apporté par le vent, et la porte laisse passer la lumière sur les côtés. La plage est envahie par les sargasses, rendant la baignade impossible, et l’hôtel ne dispose pas de piscine.

- Melissa (10/5): This was a perfect hideaway on the most beautiful beach. Would happily return! - The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so kind. Perched right on the beach but tucked away between two large rock formations, you feel like you're in your own private paradise. We loved everything except for the seaweed, which isn't anyone's fault. The hotel staff did the best they could to clean the beach, and everywhere else we went honestly had more seaweed on shore.

Extras müssen bezahlt werden. - Frühstück standard man konnte 1 Dish auswählen zusätzliche Dishes mussten extra bezahlt werden. Gab Brühkaffee leider keinen Cappuchino....die Jam war sehr lecker! Die Algen wurden jeden Morgen mit 8-10 Schubkarren abtransportiert. Die Lage ist schon einmalig und die Nähe zum Meer. Reichlich Liegen vorhanden. Generell war eher wenig los im März 2026 Wollte abends ein Bier trinken im Restaurant und wurde dann wieder weitergeschickt...nur un Verbindung mit einem Essen...dies sind hier die Regeln! Ich hatte aber bereits schon gegessen....Leider konnte man wegen der hohen Wellen nicht ins Wasser. Das Wasser zum Duschen ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig wegen dem hohen Mineralstoffgehalt.

Des habitations charmantes et joliment décorées ! Une plage privée, calme et zenitude au rendez-vous ! En guise de surprise un coktail d’accueil !! Petit panier dans la chambre avec serviettes de plage ! Cuisine au top !!! On a pu choisir notre propre poisson, tout fraîchement pêché et il a été cuisiné avec petits légumes !!! - Chiara (7/5): Angolo d’incanto a Tulum - La struttura è stupenda, su una spiaggia incantevole di Tulum e fuori dalla finestra sembra di avere la scenografia di un film. Avevamo l’accesso diretto alla spiaggia e lo abbiamo adorato. Il personale molto disponibile e belle e pulite le camere. Buona la colazione e anche il ristorante (non compreso) ha ottimi piatti sia messicani sia italiani. Purtroppo accanto all’hotel c’è una location dove organizzano eventi, tra cui serate di apertura di nota discoteca di Tulum, che ogni tanto tiene ben svegli fino alle ore 00.00. Non è colpa dell’albergo, ma questo particolare rende l’hotel non per tutti purtroppo. C’è da dire però che, anche in quelle serate che non sono tutte, a mezzanotte spengono. Per questo motivo non posso dare un 10 alla struttura che, con dei vicini diversi, se lo meriterebbe

El lugar tiene un restaurante que se come muy bien. La atención de la recepcionista es excelente. Se puede ver el amanecer y la salida de la luna. Tiene playa pública a 150 mts más gente y sunsets y a 15 min caminando se accede a parque del jaguar, donde pagas entrada y te llevan con carritos a distintas playas, recomiendo playa paraiso. Los domingos es gratuito. Nada. La habitación puede resultar un poco chica siendo que fuimos un matrimonio y 2 adolescentes

We enjoyed some of the best food we’ve had on our trip around the Americas - delicious fresh flavours unique to other restaurants but nailing the basics too. The beach is private, white sand, and in a beautiful little cove. We had birds flying past, and an iguana sunning itself near by. The service we received from Juanita was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and funny! We’ll definitely be back, for all of it :) even the storm that rolled in didn’t diminish our experience!

- B (10/5): Wonderful stay, highly recommend - This hotel is really nice. It sits in this little cove area, slightly enclosed by rocks at the edge of both sides of the beach, with another hotel and business. So it feels kind of private and since I went in December, it wasn’t that busy so it was even more chill. It is at the beginning of the hotel zone as well where it isn’t as loud or party-ish which was nice for me. The beach was clean but the water was a little rough to swim or stand in at times. The sunrise is right in front of you and it’s wonderful. Saw a few iguanas on the rocks as well 🦎 I had a partial ocean view room on the first floor and it was not bad at all! I could not only see the water but hear the ocean waves from the bed. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was also small but clean. The shower had hot water and worked well. I liked the sink outside the bathroom. The fan and AC worked well. The beds were modestly comfortable but the pillows were not comfortable for me. My neck had pains after sleeping on them so I had to sleep without them. There is a closet, lock box and a beach bag with beach towels to use. They also give you two bottles of water free. There are chairs and a hammock outside the front door but I found the hammock to be really uncomfortable sadly (very thin and cheap). A nice feet washing bowl with rose petals - nice touch. The breakfast came with the room and it was delicious. Nice options and Juanita was the best. Very pleasant staff all around and I enjoyed my stay there. The reception staff were also nice and allowed me to store my bags in their office on the last day after checkout and I could sit on the beach for a couple extra hours until I had to leave (they even let me use the beach towel too). Overall, highly recommend! Nothing really - Only wish there was a coffee maker and mini fridge in room like other hotels but not a deal breaker for me. There were many other details that still made this place wonderful.

- frodex (10/5): Authentic, mayan artisan time capsul experience unadulterated by modern tourism since the 1990's. - An authentic, rustic, beautiful, true original Tulum experience. So grateful to the family for preserving this treasure despite the significant growth of the area and encroachment of big tourism. My first visit was in the mid-1990's and I have been coming back less often than I should have. If, this was my first visit, I would not believe these facilities were three decades old as they are as fresh as they were when I first experienced them in the 1990's when I viewed them being built. Still preserving and maintaining, as if new, timeless and unique Mayan architecture and local craftsmanship. The family and staff have truly offered the world a gem by preserving the natural essents of the environment here at the playa. Enveloping guests with nature and craftsmanship, natural wood, handmade tile and organic textiles enhancing the natural beauty of the playa. Piedra Escondita's outstanding and timeless eligance is fighting against the encroaching modern tourism machine with an authentic and timeless experience; one can only guess how long they can stand against the progress of time. And the staff at Piedra Escondita are fully invested in the guests experience along with the family owners, who still actively participate and visit the property on a daily basis. This is a legacy worth visiting and I hope it remains a legacy worth preserving for the family for another 3 decades and beyond. I am very grateful that Piedra Escondita is still here and vibrant, demonstrating what a true unadulterated Tulum experience is and remains a time machine back to what inspired the growth of the area in its infancy.

Nos recibieron con piñas coladas riquísimas y nos dieron una habitación amplia con closet de buen tamaño, caja fuerte, colgadores, paraguas, dos camas muy cómodas y con muchas almohadas, el baño grande con una ducha potente. Estábamos en el primer piso de una cabaña con salida directa a la playa donde había poltronas, sombrillas, todo a nuestra disposición. El desayuno variado, rico y contundente, el guacamole, las quesadillas, las tostas de atún, aguachile, todo delicioso! (Y lo dice una peruana de paladar exigente). El personal de lo mejor!! Nayeli siempre atenta a todos nuestros requerimientos, dispuesta a resolver cualquier duda, Martín amable y siempre a la orden, Franco conversador, sonriente y sus cocteles buenísimos! Juanita y su atención dulce, cálida y efectiva. El personal de limpieza impecable!!

Además el personal fue muy amable, especialmente Nayeli, que nos ayudó a planificar nuestras actividades. Que había sargazo durante toda nuestra estancia, una pena pero obviamente esto es ajeno al hotel.

Hoogtepunt voor ons was een zeeschildpad die ‘s avonds op “ons strand” eieren kwam leggen.

- O6165NFcourtneyw (10/5): The best part of our trip! - I can’t imagine a better place to stay! Charming, clean rooms. Amazing grounds and view. It felt like a serene oasis in a busy town. We had plans to eat at several restaurants in Tulum, but we decided to have every dinner at the hotel! The breezy, beachside setting was like a dream. The food was fresh and incredible. It was quiet and never rushed. The staff were amazing. Kind, welcoming, but never intrusive. Martin and Juanita, especially, the made the trip special. For example. I mentioned that I wanted to try fresh Red Snapper and the next day Martin went to a fisherman and brought back the most gorgeous fish!

I paid quite a lot for this hotel but the beach was dirty and I found a cockroach in our room. The other hotels were I stayed in Mexico (which I paid the half of money comparing with this hotel) was much better.

Rooms, room furnishings, bedding, air conditioning, were all great, comfy and clean. Grounds, balconies (two on our room with incredible views), balcony furniture were all in great condition. All staff, management, restaurant folks, were friendly and helpful. We had daily breakfast and several dinners at the hotel's restaurant; all being just great. We'll definitely be back!

Convenient to coffee shops and restaurants, bike rentals to explore the area - the ruins and main Tulum beach area just south of here. The manager was amazing and so professional. I had a view of the ocean & steps from the ocean. There is a small private beach but because of the seaweed wasn’t swimmable. There’s access to a public beach a short walk away and I swam there . The food was amazing , the breakfast was included and there were many options for breakfast. If you’re looking for quiet this place is it. I went to sleep with the sound of the ocean which was very relaxing. The Staff was always friendly and helpful, Nayeli was lovely and always very helpful. Will definitely return!

Only drawback was no pool & the beach had a lot of seaweed, but one staff worked tirelessly to remove it & a common problem for all of the Yucatán. Without being asked, they made my daughter’s 16th birthday extra special! Would return in a heartbeat.

With its own small beach, excellent restaurant and friendly, helpful staff, we had a great time staying here and would recommend to anyone coming to Tulum looking to be near the beaches.
- Viviane Haight (10/5): - The hotel, food, view and the location were perfect. The restaurant was unique and delicious. Ask the chef to make you a seafood dinner of his choice and you will not be disappointed. We loved the simple comfort/luxury of the room and the spectacular view/access to salt water. Having great food, drinks, a private beach on property plus a parking lot for a rental car was great and allowed us to visit ruins, town, etc. We rented bikes and biked all over the hotel zone. Also we were able to shop in some cute shops near by. Close to trendy Kintoh and safe places to run/bike in the mornings if you want. We would stay there again! Perfect getaway.
- Aleksandar (9/5): Small hotel in a beautiful setting - the location, comfortable parking, restaurant terrace, beach. Breakfast is a la carte but with plenty of choice, both continenatal and local. Matresses are comfortable. Bathroom is decent. Espresso is to be paid extra for, it is bad, and even not available the last day. The beach which is de facto private was covered with tons of some kind of sea grass and therefore not usable at all. The hotel organized cleaning only after several days. the double beds were queensize, not the most comfortable for two adults.
- aldman64 (10/5): An idyllic small beach hotel - We had a warm and friendly welcome from Nayeli for our five nights at this small and beautifully situated hotel on the beach. It is a peaceful haven surrounded by the noisy bustle of the hotel zone. All the rooms have good sea views but we were fortunate to have Room 4 on the first floor with two balconies overlooking the sea and beach. The rooms are tastefully decorated with handicrafts from different areas of southern Mexico. The beach was clean with no weed and the waves easily negociable by the average swimmer. Unfortunately our peace was disturbed on Saturday night by the loud music from the adjacent disco (only a couple of metres from Room 4) but thankfully it stopped at 11 pm. The food in the restaurant at all meals, including breakfast, was delicious from a highly imaginative menu. The prices were higher than most restaurants we had visited in other parts of Mexico but that is only to be expected on the beach. A 15% propina (tip) is automatically added to the bill. Martin was always extremely attentive and helpful and Nayeli’s advice on activities was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend Piedra Escondida. Muchas gracias a todos.
- Manuri (10/5): - We have travelled a lot but this has been one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The accommodation is rustic and charming but not cheap quality at all. Little touches are thought through like foot baths at each the little apartment. The beach is private and so pretty. Sadly a lot of plastic waste litters the beach but that isn’t the hotels fault. It washes in from the sea. The real highlight is their menu. Breakfast lunch and dinner! Every meal is extraordinary. The chef is amazing! We went out for dinner one night and never did it again. Had every meal at Piedra Escondida because it was so good. The included breakfasts are enormous and delicious. Food is absolutely stunning. Martin was so helpful as well helping us arrange economical taxis for some longer day trips to Coba and early morning taxis for us to meet our group tour to chichen itza. I would stay at Piedra Escondida again in a heartbeat. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Muchos Gracias.

Staff was super friendly and front desk was extremely helpful answering questions via email before arrival. The hotel is on the quiet side of hotel zone - very peaceful but not much to see or do on that side. If you like quiet peaceful stress free...this is the spot.
- Dodai (9/5): Great for a quiet, relaxing getaway! - Great location right on the beach. Breakfast was REALLY good. Had dinner there a few nights, too. And beers and guacamole on the beach. The staff was wonderful, accommodating, sweet and helpful. It’s close to a couple of restaurants, a few shops and a mini mart. It’s not a LUXURY experience but for four nights of sun and surf it was perfect!

- Alison (10/5): Beautiful little spot on the beach! - Stayed here with a friend for New Year's and we loved it. Cute little beach alcove that feels private, has a simple but great breakfast menu, and has easy direct access to fun restaurants and shops right on the hotel zone. The staff was extremely helpful whenever we had questions and gave us multiple drink vouchers for our stay. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you're looking to get away and enjoy what Tulum has to offer! Was definitely due to the NYE partying, but we did find a used syringe on the beach the next morning by the hammocks. An extra cleaning would make it perfect.

- Gabriel (10/5): Amazing boutique hotel in perfect spot - Beautiful boutique hotel in an immaculate location. Private beach cove, enough loungers for every guest, so you can relax and never have to wake up early and claim a spot. Breakfast on the beach was delicious. Service great. It’s a simple spot with no frills, but that’s part of why it’s great. It’s away from the hordes of influencers, it’s quiet, it feels organic and connected to nature.

- Emma (9/5): Very nice stay - The whole hotel was a dream! We woke up to a view of the ocean, spent our day lounging on the private beach and enjoyed some very tasty food in the restaurant. The whole hotel is only 8 rooms which was perfect for us and there are enough sun loungers for all the rooms. Breakfast was also great and the staff provided us a box lunch when we had an early start and missed the breakfast service. Unfortunately the hotel has less dreamy neighbours that played loud music each night until late. The official end time is apparently midnight but on two of our nights this was until 5/2am. We found we were still able to sleep without issue but it took a shine off our stay.
