- Simone (6/5): Holiday season getaway - The room was adequate for our needs. We chose to stay based on reviews however I don’t think it lives up to them. The room had a microwave, toaster and kettle yet no plates or cutlery to use these. Bugs easily made it in under the front door and on pulling back the curtain to check I hadn’t dropped anything down the side of the couch there were quite a few dead cockroaches. If you do choose to stay request rooms at the rear as they have their patio facing out to a lovely field, we had the view of trucks driving past on the motorway.

- Paul (10/5): Nice two nights stay - We stayed at the Bushmans Motor Inn for two nights. The room was a good size and clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was also well set out and the water pressure good. The motel is a little way out from Lithgow but was quiet at night. There is a restaurant on site and our parking was right outside our door. We recommend the Bushmans Motor Inn and will stay again when in the area.

- Unhappy (4/5): - We booked for 2 nights at the property and at the time of booking I informed the hotel that I was traveling with my assistance dog. Prior to arriving I had sent a few emails to Jennalea where I provided copies of my dogs assistance dog accreditation. The property stated on wotif that assistance animals were welcome. On arrival we checked in and we discussed again that I had my assistance dog with me. I went into the hotel room and then John the owner of the property came into the doorway of the room blocking my exit and spoke aggressively to me saying “under no circumstances is an animal to enter the room”. My dog was in her assistance dog harness at the time of the incident and at check in. I tried to explain that I had had previous discussions with Jennalea about attending with my assistance dog. My partner tried to intervene and he also spoke rudely to him as well. It was only when my partner went back to the office to ask If it was going to be an ongoing issue having the assistance dog there, and that we were happy to leave and get a refund and go elsewhere, that the female owner tried to smooth things over and state that there was an communication error at their end. The owner John made zero attempt to apologise for his rude and aggressive behaviour towards me. It has left a really poor impression of the hotel even though the room was comfortable and clean.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Positives: Room was average with comfortable bed, good size bathroom, could not hear the noise from railway which you can usually hear at other hotels in Lithgow. Negatives: Ground based ash trays located outside all room doors encourage people to smoke around room doors while having loud conversations late at night. Cigarette smoke comes under the entrance door and makes room very smelly. Smoke continues even after the people have moved on due to the butts smoldering in the ground based ash trays for ten to fifteen minutes afterwards. Very uncomfortable for people staying in rooms with respiratory issues. Do not remove groceries from your car and place in the room due to field mice being around. We were woken around 1am to sound of mice chewing through our food bags. A number of items had to be placed in the bin.
