• Petra (9/5): Typisch sizilianisch. - Der freundliche Empfang, das große Anwesen in ruhiger Lage, ein wunderbares Frühstück mit selbst gebackenem Kuchen und Marmelade mit Früchten aus dem Garten. Das sizilianische Menü am Abend ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Siciliansk gæstfrihed, smukke heste og lækreste mad!! - Vi havde ingen forventninger ved ankomst og havde KUN booket fordi man kunne bestille en ridetur på deres heste. Da vi ankom havde vi først følelsen af ikke at føle os særlig velkommen. 🫣 men som timerne gik blev vi fuldstændig blæst bagover!! Loredana var fuldstændig fantastisk!!🥹 hun var så sød og behagelig og vi følte os mødt med den sicilianske stemning og gæstfrihed som vi drømte om. Stedet var så smukt!! Lækker pool og vi havde hele stedet for os selv 😍 som de eneste gæster åbnede de også restauranten kun for os og vi blev forkælet med et fantastisk måltid, utallige retter med siciliansk hjemmelavet mad 🤤 jeg og min søn var ved at revne af mæthed til sidst 😂 vi havde en fantastisk ridetur på deres heste med siciliansk landskab i baggrunden. De havde søde kattekillinger på stedet. Fra poolen kunne man se hestene gå rundt bag træerne 🥹 så hyggeligt! Om morgenen fik vi den BEDSTE morgenmad. Virkelig stort udvalg med lokale specialiteter. Værelset var perfekt med alt vi skulle bruge. Endda et lille køleskab. Vi kan ikke takke Loredana nok for den måde hun fik os til at føle på. 🫶🏾 vi var så ulykkelige over at vi ikke havde booket flere overnatninger 😭 Alt var perfekt!! Tøv ikke med at booke stedet! Hvis jeg skal sige en negativ ting var det manden som skulle instruere os i at ride og var med på rideturen. Han var uhøflig og ikke engageret i det. Det virkede som om han virkelig ikke gad og vi følte os til besvær og samtidig utrygge ved ikke at blive forberedt særlig godt inden rideturen (han snakkede ikke engelsk) men han blev lidt mere venlig undervejs og jeg vil stadig anbefale at booke en tur på hesteryg da det er en smuk oplevelse ! 😌 Vær opmærksom på at man skal have en badehætte for at benytte poolen (det vidste vi ikke)

• Robin (10/5): Definitely a place we’d come back to. - A really charming country hotel, we loved it. The big swimming pool is especially good. If I had any criticism at all - the pool terrace furniture is a little tired, but really, everything was fine.
• Karen (6/5): Needs lesson in hospitality - The grounds and pool were nice Pool furniture are very cheap and outdated - pool area would look amazing with some good modern furniture. Rooms are very rustic, which was expected. Biggest complaint is the host- we weren’t given any instructions or guidance upon check in for the property amenities. When we finally found the hot tub and sauna she came to help us get them turned on and at no time mentioned that there would be a $30 euro per person fee to use them. It is not anywhere in the listing that these services have a fee. Upon check out, I questioned the 30 per person and she argued that is was not an included amenity, even when I showed her it was listed as on along with the pool and did not say “ additional fee” next to as some of her other services did ( bbq, horseback riding, etc). She had several opportunities to mention this to us prior, but chose not to. Also, breakfast was listed at 8 am, when I arrived and all I wanted was a cappuccino, which took her about 15 minutes because she still wasn’t ready setting up . Food was mediocre,nothing special. There were 2 stray cats hanging around constantly, which was annoying- she should just feed them so they leave the guests alone.

The hotel is a renovated family home in a beautiful rural area and has the feeling of an old farmhouse. Outdoor areas weren’t quite ready for use. Local city (Caltigirone) is a 15 minute drive.

• Sydney (9/5): A lovely property in the Caltagirone area - The property is outside the city, part of an Agriturismo, a large working farm. We loved the landscape and the free roaming horses. There is a large swimming pool and a lovely outdoor dining area. While the room itself is very small, there are many outdoor areas to relax in. Vittorio, one of the family members, was our delightful host and helpful. We ate our dinner at the property, cooked by his mother. The beds were comfortable and there is a wonderful buffet breakfast in the morning. No negatives. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
• Linda (6/5): Pleasant - The property had a very nice breakfast and staff were great. If you need a pool, looks amazing and worth using if you are staying in the hot weather. It was very hard to find at night and we could not get in touch with anybody to provide advice . Place is too far out of town and was old and tired and room decor and bathrooms desperately need an upgrade. The second night the lights did not work when we got to our rooms. I found the beds uncomfortable.
• Lustforlife (8/5): Old style value - A very beautiful old farmhouse villa complex in a handy location for Caltigirone, Villa Romano di Casale, Piazza Amerani and Enna. The staff are lovely and the breakfasts generous. Dinner was also generous but quality was variable- excellent first night and so-so second. House wine decidedly average. Very good value overall though. Thoughtful and attentive staff. The room didn't have any drink making facilities or even any glasses for your own drinks although it did have a mini fridge. Air con struggled to be effective.

• Mojito (10/5): A perfect place to relax - A very nice breakfast and a wonderful dinner out on the terrace. The waiter and the cook were lovely people (I apologise for not remembering their names). All very attentive and the food was delicious.

Potentially if you went in high season the service would be bette - The location was gorgeous, Caltagirone is a lovely little town. The villa itself was a beautiful building with a lovely setting behind it and some nice views. We visited in July and it felt like as it was off season that no one really cared. We enquired about diner reservations and were given a very unsure “ I’m not sure if we are doing dinner I will let you know” and we were never told so we went into town. The room was dated which was fine but it clearly hadn’t been used in a while as there were dead flies in the sink and ants had made their way into the bathroom through the wall. It felt like there were a lot of rules - you can’t use the pool between 1-3pm, kids seemed to run wild around the pool and loud music being played. Breakfast was ok and pretty standard for Italy.

Breakfast minimal but ok. Bed not really comfortable. Power to room is turned off until check in time so it takes hours to even chill water in the fridge. Manager was very helpful and nice.

• Duncan (7/5): Good - The location is nice and quiet, on the outskirts of the village. The place is very clean and the staff are very helpful and nice. In my opinion it has a great potential with some improvements. If I had to compare to other agritourism in Sicily, the breakfast could be served a bit more early and was mainly based on a sweets, like croissants cakes and tarts. Being a buffet, the perpetration of warm food like eggs sausages and bacon should be ready available and not have to ask for. We were expecting to have more items to have a proper shower and not just a small sample soap but the rest was OK.

• Claus (9/5): Superb - Very charming place with nice restaurant. Private seating in front of room to share with the room next door. Nice pool area. The place was run by a young couple who were very helpful and friendly indeed. Our room was very small and only had a tiny window on the north side. Even in the brightest sunshine it was dark. We like to wake up to natural light and overslept - everyone is different but bear it in mind. Breakfast is rather basic but this is typical for all of Italy.

• Dan (2/5): Very poor - The staff did not know a word in english, not even the numerals. Everything was taking ages - we wanted to check out, but although there were other 3 employees, nobody was able to do so. The receptionist was still sleeping and arrived late. The breakfasts, compared to other hotels in the area, were extremely poor - only a few croissants, unripe fruits and cheapest yoghurts. The dishes were not home made, even the pesto was pre-fabricated.

• Julie (4/5): Nice location but not 4 star - Beautiful location in quiet area, the couple running the place is really nice. Pool area nice and quiet in the evenings. The smell of detergent used to clean the room was overpowering, the bathroom had lingering sewerage smell. The WiFi was super slow. The pool can be used by non residents, and super busy in the weekend. Breakfast could be better. Neighboring room guests were watching TV super loud until at 1:30am I had to go knock on their door. Rating of 4 star is too high for this place, so when you arrive you have certain expectations that are not met. Property has good potential but needs to be managed better.

• William (9/5): We enjoyed our very unique farmhouse experience! - Situated a few kms out of town, it was a unique experience in an old 18th Century farmhouse on a small farm with five cats, three horses and a dog. It was rambling and it had a pool area for relaxing. The owner was friendly and helpful and served a nice breakfast in the morning. We had a car and there was plenty of free parking space. The only difficulty was actually trying to find it as there was inadequate signage and Google Maps told us we had arrived when we hadn’t. There was another couple of kms to go once you turn off. It was very unclear as to whether we were going the right way.

• nino (8/5): Beautiful Villa Tasca - The location is wonderful, hilltop, landscaped. The owner greets you and was on-site every day. She was also very helpful in locating a lab for our Covid test we needed for our flight home. She served a nice breakfast of home made cakes. The only issue we had was that the restaurant was closed due to Covid and this wasn't disclosed on the hotels.com website. So had to travel into town at night to eat after long day of sightseeing.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Authentic and charming place - A nice spot outside the city. Nice rooms with good air condition. The service was fine and we had a lunch (salad) and dinner there. The fitness was however not good and without air conditioning. But all in all a nice place to stay with a lot of authenticity.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Warm Welcome in the Sicilian Countryside - We really enjoyed our four nights here in April. The evening meals were delicious, prepared with pride and featured local produce. The very large pool looks like it would be great it summer. We felt very welcomed at this family run establishment and unhestatingly recommend it as a destination in itself. From there we were able to visit the wonderful Greek ruins at Agrigento and the Turkish steps one day and charming Cefalu on another, both fairly long drives, and also visited nearby Caltigarone, which is a sadly run down town. Catania is an easy 45 minutes away and Piazza Armerina is close. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, but for us, the main reason to choose Villa Tasca is the relaxing feeling of the villa itself.
• Rosana (6/5): Local agradavel - Uma casa de fazenda , bem conservada .O local é muito bonito , no alto de uma montanha,cercado de muito verde. Os quartos tem entrada fora da casa principal, são decorados com móveis antigos mas bem conservados.No banheiro ,pena que a área do box seja muito pequena, mas tudo funciona perfeitamente.
