- Pieloch (10/5): Come for the views - return for the staff - It was wonderful to wake up in the morning, stand on our balcony, and see the fog blanketing the valley behind the hotel. If only for that, this place would be worth it. But we could also see the monorail train on its way to and from the Cable Car station to Fansipan. And we could also hear the roosters each morning as well. It was an idyllic location for our stay in Sapa. Make sure to book the mountain view room. The hotel is also well located, as it was a short walk uphill to a good restaurant, and downhill to several coffee spots and spas, including our favorite Ruby Spa. It is also an easy walk to the Sapa train station building, and lots of restaurants, and the Sapa Lake in the downtown area. And we caught an inexpensive Grab ride back up the hill to our hotel each time. The staff at A25 is outstanding. The front desk folks speak good English, and they helped us sort a few logistical issues during our stay. They are also very friendly, as is the young doorman, who was the James Brown of this hotel (the hardest working man in show business). Overall, we had a great 5 days in Sapa, and our stay at A25 was a big part of that. We would gladly return here. The breakfast is complimentary, so we managed expectations. We are vegetarians, so it can be difficult to find offerings at buffets. Normally we found enough to eat each morning.

Overall a very good choice. Had severe diarrhoea after the first day breakfast. Reverted to yogurt and boiled eggs for the rest of the stay . However the staff provided yogurt even when it was not in breakfast menu. The room intercom was not working through out our stay.

- Tina (8/5): - I liked the location, close enough to the center yet in a quieter street. The staff at the reception is very attentive and tries their best to help you. I appreciated the many amenities in the room, anything from the face wash, proper toothpaste, good shampoo, razors, to even hair ties and bathrobes! I didn't appreciate getting the room without the shower door and with bad balcony isolation on the first stay, but we solved that by changing the room for the rest of my stay. The second room was better, even if of the same standard.

- navneet mahansaria (10/5): Exceptional experience with great locality - The hotel had taken care of every small thing you need for daily chores (iron, sewing needles, nail cutter, bath gown etc). The room size and bed size was very good for deluxe room. We were a family of 3 however 4 people can easily be accommodated in the twin bed. The staff were exceptionally polite and supportive. Indian veg food was also available. Location is just 5-8 mins walking distance from the SAPA centre and mono rail station. The veg food was kept along with the non-veg food and spill over of non veg food can be seen in the veg food. Precaution should have been taken to separate out the veg and non veg food in the buffet breakfast.

What really stood out was how friend - I really appreciated how clean the facilities were, especially the bedroom. It made the stay feel comfortable and well-maintained. We booked a room with two beds and a mountain view, but unfortunately, we were placed on the first floor, and our view was blocked. One of the beds was also quite firm, which made it less comfortable to sleep on.

Not the hotels fault but there is a lot of construction directly next to it so expect noise from 6am to 6pm. The hotel staff were friendly but generally there was no one at the front desk. It kind of seemed like the hotel was closed , the restaurant wasn’t open , the massage shop wasn’t open and we were one of 2 guests in the whole hotel. The breakfast was Pho and they bring to room.

There is nothing near by, no restaurants or shops. You have to travel in to Ha Long main area to find this.

- Huong (9/5): We had a great time! - The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and they allowed us to change to an upper room where the view is better. The room is nice and has a great view of the valley and mountains. It seems that the 2nd floor's rooms only have centered cooling and heating, while the other floors have an air conditioner inside the room. There're some choices for breakfast, which is included in the room price. It'll be better if the hotel gets some renovation. Our toilet got clogged a few times.

Location uphill, need to walk downhill ~500m to good restaurants, cafes, etc area, 2. old hotel, pictures in the web were misleading, 3. elevator took a very long time to close, 4. toilet door could not be closed properly, 5. toilet seat partially dislodged, 6. toilet flushing need to press & HOLD in order to flush properly & water take a long time to fill up the toilet cistern, 7. hairdryer need to be press & HOLD to use, 8. small room, noise of the people talking or passed bt the corridor outside the room door can be heard clearly inside the room, 9. telephone in the room not working (no cable), 10. electrical sockets near the bed out-of-orders, 11. only one out two rubbish bins was cleaned, 12. one of the pillow had hairs when we checked in, 13. balcony door could not be closed properly, 14. Breakfast time start at 7 am, went down at 7 am, & yet breakfast was not yet ready (workers overslept), 15. Labelling on food not updated (e.g. labelled 'spaghetti', but it was actually corn cobbs in the covered food tray), 16. Food like noodle or fried rice were not heated up, those who came later at 8 am onwards would get room temperature food, 17. Old bread toaster too ages to toast, 18. Workers top-up plates & cups during breakfast time (very noisy & even broke one of plate - unprofessional). 19. Garden outside breakfast hall - unkempt, stinked of chicken dung/toilets at the garden (chicken reared at a slope at of the garden), & 20. there is no spa as indicated in the name of the hotel

- Michael (1/5): It’s a scam say away of this hotel - Nothing My experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing right from the start. They advertised with a photo of another hotel, and I only realized upon arrival that I had not booked the one I intended. When I confronted the manager about the misleading photos, he responded disrespectfully, suggesting that I must have been drunk when booking because the rooms were obviously different. It was a terrible way to handle a customer concern. Despite my request to cancel the non-refundable booking, the manager was uncooperative and insisted I stay. During my stay, I witnessed him pulling the same trick on five other customers. He then offered me the "best" room in the hotel, which turned out to be far from it. The room had multiple issues, including excessive layers of paint, humidity stains, malfunctioning doors, and a non-functional television. The bathroom was dirty and covered in mold, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, with springs poking through. To cover up the smell of smoke from the air conditioning, they had placed a heavily scented candle in the room, which only made matters worse. The breakfast experience was equally terrible. The limited options included soup and poorly cooked eggs, and the conditions were unhygienic, with moldy tablecloths. On the second day, they moved me to a different room, but it had the exact same problems as the previous one. Upon checking out, they suddenly informed me that they only accepted cash, nearly causing me to miss my ride. The manager's attempt to justify this policy was unconvincing and felt like another evasion of responsibility. In conclusion, this hotel is a complete scam, and I witnessed other guests falling victim to the same deceit. I strongly advise booking platforms to remove this establishment from their listings.

- Andrew (7/5): Cool mountain retreat - Great mountain view from the room, warm shower, friendly staff (google translate can help with English conversation). Local breakfast with an egg station. Also close to the Fansipan tram stop, just take the stairs halfway down the hill from the hotel. That isn’t a picture of the hotel… Be aware the road to the hotel is very steep - good for exercise!

The hotel room is comfortable, and we were upgraded for the mountain view room, facing the Muong Hoa Monoral trail. The breakfast was great. Special thanks to the handsome staff in glasses who had welcome us the first day and advised us the last day on time to check out and arrange a taxi for us to catch our bus back to Hanoi. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and recommended to all.

- Phan (9/5): Very good - Service was very on point. Check in was fast, and they provided hot drinks on arrival, which was what we need in a cold weather. Room was really spacious and has a balcony, a little waste that it was fogging. Breakfast spread was great. Staff was able to recommend what to do, and can make transport arrangements for trips out of sapa
- Chau (3/5): Poor - Breakfast is very bad. They said breakfast starts at 7:00 am. Yet, we wait until 7:30, nothing is ready yet. We had to leave. Nothing
- Duong (9/5): Excellant - Staff was really attentive, Room was super clean and they were flexible enough for us to store our luggages and use the toilets after our reservation ended. Oh and the views of the mountains from the balcony in the morning is fantastic! Best value for the hotels in the area in terms of service, views and breakfast included as well. Bathtub should I keep going? Walking distance to the main town
- Piret (7/5): Good - The view is great when you book for a corner room. The place is a little worn.
- Pim (2/5): would not recommend to stay here. although it is cheap and the location is okay. - The people were nice and the location is perfect. It was not clean at all. The building, both from the inside and the outside, looks old and perished. The bathroom accessories were from ‘summit hotel sapa’, which was really strange.

- Chiew (5/5): Can be better - Location still ok. Not far from city centre I have asked the staffs 3 times for heater and 2 times for a towel
- Ara (4/5): Rock hard bed in chilly room - The hotel is very centrally located which was good for allowing us to walk around the town and also a good place to start many of the treks. The bed was very hard (like sleeping on wooden boards) the building is very run down, breakfast is a very sad affair in a very mouldy and run down cafeteria serving white bread in ancient counter top oven, and disappointing pho. Main hotel is freezing, no heating throughout, one small heating and cooling unit in the room. Had to request extra blankets and towels for the room as it wasn't made up with them when we arrived. Wifi is a bit sketchy and everything very outdated. Don't expect much for the price.
