- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very nice place to stay, plenty of parking available. Only problem was it is difficult to find with little or no signage. Very popular restaurant for such a remote location.
- Erica (6/5): - Did not like that they charged to get a fresh towel everyday- that should be included in the room charge. No lights were in the hallway so we needed to use flashlight to get up to our room.
- William (4/5): - This property, Casale B&B did not meet any standards of being clean. Bathroom had black mold around the shower, floors and walls. The main room floors were filthy and there was a pail of dirty water with a mop inside it outside our door which obviously had not been used in our room. In three days that we stayed there the waste basket was emptied one time. The grounds must have been nice at one time but now unkept.
- Neil (10/5): - There is a long lane with a big incline from the property to the road for the bus. It is 50-60 Euro from th strain station to the property.
- Samuel (10/5): Great stay - Great quiet 1 night stay, wish we could have stayed and explored longer. Once we found the town, we have a lot of great food and drink.

- Michael (4/5): Hot Room with a smell - I asked the gentleman at check if the air conditioner work and cooled off room as I’m unable to sleep when warm. He said yes it cools good. Well I can tell you it doesn’t. Room had an odd smell to it and found crumbs or something on floor throughout the room.
- Holly (6/5): - The hostess and the person who made the breakfast were the very best of this location. This place has a very nice view but it’s not kept up. The room had a very old smell if it wasn’t for the very clean and crisp sheets, I would have left as I walked in. The bathroom and shower needs a facelift. The landscape can be incredible but it has no one to attend to it. It was sad to see such a potential go to waste.
- Alexander (10/5): - We stayed at the place for 5 nights and explored wonderful places in the region. It was our great luck we found the property. It is situated in a quiet place on the hills above Sorrento some 1,7 km on foot to get to it on foot along a path. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast included juices, ham, sausage, cheeses, eggs bread and pastry with great Italian coffee or tea. Wifi was great. The owners were very helpful. Though the staff was not present 24 hours it was possible to be always in touch via WhatsApp. We found the place very easily using WAZE. We did not find anything we disliked.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - First off, this B&B is extremely pretty, clean, spacious, the beds are super comfortable. There is a grand staircase that wouldn't look out of place in a hotel. The rooms are spotless, en-suite, air-conditioned - 1st class. The staff were really nice and friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. We had a minor incident with check-in, we were arriving to Sorrento in the morning (before the official 3pm check in time) and were hoping to just drop our bags and head down town to do touristy things. We saw that they offered a shuttle bus for arrival and departure and didn't think there would be a problem. However, the shuttle bus is not actually run by the B&B, it's an external service and has a specific schedule, which is usually every 2-3 hours, so not that regular. Long story short mis-communication/language barriers resulted in us turning up for the shuttle we were advised was 12:30 but was actually 11:30. This meant we had missed time we could have spent sightseeing etc... in an already very short stay in Sorrento. However, the owners were very apologetic about what had happened. Another thing that was frustrating was that it was difficult to communicate with the hotel. No reply to e-mails and there was rarely anybody to answer the phone. Location - it is approx 20-30 minute drive outside the city up a hill. The views are fantastic, but if you want to be a bit closer to town then this is not the best place for you.

- Francyneth (8/5): - la habitación muy amplia y limpia, el desayuno muy completo y el personal muy amable, esta retirado del centro de Sorrento y aunque tiene un servicio de shuttle que te recoge y te lleva a la estación del tren con ciertas frecuencias, es una limitante pues el sitio de recogida y llegada esta a cerca de 10min caminando por un camino que tiene cuesta de subida, no apto para personas con capacidad limitada de movimiento o con niños

- carrie (10/5): Lovely B and B with views of the bay of Naples - We really enjoyed our stay at Il Casale. Maria and Michaele made us feel very welcome and were very helpful with advice for sightseeing. We had a family room for four with a lovely balcony and views over Sorrento. It was very quiet at nighttime and the beds extremely comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was lovely. Great pool and hot tub. If you don’t have a car it’s a very steep 30 minute walk down into Sorrento and extremely hard walking back up! You need to be quite fit, but there are buses if you prefer not to walk. We loved the nearby town of Sant Agata ( about a 10 minute walk away) which has some restaurants and bars and a lovely atmosphere. We also took the bus from here to Marina del Cantone, a wonderful beach, would highly recommend! We were glad to be able to escape back to Il Casale after the busyness of Sorrento.

- Nathan (10/5): - Fantastic. Lovely views, small B&B which is what we wanted. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is in the hills, so a 30 min walk to Sorrento which was nice but can catch the bus a little further up the road if needed. Perfect.

In the mornings after showering and getting ready, walking up hill for 20 minutes gets you sweaty then you have to wait for buses that don’t come on schedule. Breakfast should be offered earlier and pool should be available in evenings. Hotel was very clean. Has beautiful view.
- Camille (10/5): Lovely B&B with fantastic views - We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Il Casale Sorrento. Our favorite amenities were the views and the wonderful breakfast by Giovanna. The rooms were quiet and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The B&B is located at the top of a hill, and we took a SITA bus up from the Sorrento bus station to get there (bus stop: Hotel Hermitage). Cristina, the front desk receptionist, was also very friendly and helped us to book a private car transfer to our next destination.

- Caroline (10/5): Peaceful with a great view! - The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely... so many different cake options!! The views are outstanding and the area is very peaceful. If you do not have a car I would recommend that you book a transfer from the airport as the hotel is a little tricky to find for the first time. We did not rent a car but it was not too much trouble to travel into Sorrento on the bus. The uphill walk to the bus stop takes some getting used to but thankfully it is all downhill on the way home. The only slight problem with the location was that the last bus left Sorrento at 8:15pm so we could not stay long into the evening without an expensive taxi trip.The hotel do offer a range of drinks though so we just opted for an early dinner and then a couple of drinks on the balcony, again the view is wonderful! There is a small town nearby (S.Agata), very steep walk but there are some nice restaurants. One night we took the bus back from Sorrento and stopped in S.Agata for dinner so we would just have the easy downhill walk to the hotel after eating. All in all a very a relaxing holiday, thank you!

- declan (6/5): Lovely guesthouse up in the hill - Il Casale is a beautiful guest house set in the hills above Sorrento. The views from Il Casale are stunning. It is quite remote but we enjoyed the 2000mtr walk down a stepped walkway into Sorrento which took about 30mins down and about 45mins back up. If you are not so keen on a hike there is a bus service from the main road into town regularly. There is also ample parking spaces if you hired a car. The rooms are spacious with a large en-suite. The breakfast is a continental with some lovely home made cakes and fruit. The only negative is check-in, this caused a big problem we arrived at midday, not unusual or problematic, however check-in is 2.00pm-7.00pm, what they fail to tell you is the guest house is locked front gates locked and nobody is there. We turned up with suit cases no transport but luckily a phone. There are two numbers to ring on the gate, the first number did not answer, the second answered and said they would send somebody up to let us in. One hour later I rang back, this time they said we would have to wait until 2.00pm as there is no one available to let us in and in any case this in the time check in begins. We were left outside for two hours, this caused a big problem, I spoke to the owners the next morning, they were in Naples so could not get back and blamed the agents expedia for not making this clear. You should not leave guests stood outside for two hours, you should make sure this does not happen again, you should sort this out with expedia urgent.

- Juliet (10/5): Nice view of Sorrento and Vesuvius from the hill - Our 4 night stay at Casale was a wonderful experience. Room was spacious and perfectly clean. Quiet AC. Nice terrace with a partial view of the Bay Area in the middle of olive, lemon, orange and every kind of trees. You are in a town and also in a village at the same time. It is about 6 km from downtown Sorrento, but there is a bus service that connects you to it. There is also a small swimming pool in the courtyard that you can use during hot Summer days. Staff was very friendly. Rich and freshly prepared breakfast was a plus.
- Dudley (10/5): Great choice for Sorrento area - We were not certain that the location would meet pur need to visit Sorrento BUT it turned out that one day on the helter skelter was sufficient. We were pleasantly surprised to find the nearby town of San Agita (10 minutes walk from Il Casali) was a vibrant village with a dizen restaurant choices and a surprisingly upscale assortment of shops! We would definitely rebook for a future visit!
- Lynne (8/5): Lovely quiet Bef and Breakfast with supeburb veiws - We arrived to a very warm welcome, given a guided tour of the small elegant Bed and Breakfast , the room had the most stunning views over the bay of Naples. Typical continental breakfast but with the addition of fresh fruit from the gardens and lovely home made sweet pies. We had a car which was a blessing as Sorrento town by road is a few miles away, but a short walk (up hill) there are Sita buses that pick up at top and a few minutes further on there is the nice town of Sant Agata. So if you don't mind a hike there is still plenty of restaurants in walking distance. All in all I would go back there without hesitation.

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a private balcony. There was also a fridge in the room, although it was quite noisy at night! Spectacular views and generally a quiet location. It is some way out of the city so it is preferable to have your own transport. .
- Michael (10/5): Il Casale Sorrento - This place was AMAZING! We loved it and would recommend this hotel to anyone! It is up a pretty windy road above Sorrento, but worth the trip. Breakfast was nice, and the owners were super friendly. We didn't arrive until about 9:30 pm, and the gate was locked and no one around. We called the phone # and within 5-10 min. someone came with a key to let us in. All the rooms were named after Southern Italy towns, so that was cool. We had a great stay in Capri and the Amalfi coast. 2 Thumbs up!

Bus runs there every hour. Very quiet with the birds singing. Great owner who speaks fluent English and always ready to help

The room was comfortable and had all the amenities one could want. The breakfasts were great - continental buffet style with tasty cakes! The owners were on hand daily and even took us to town in their car and nothing was too much trouble.
- Heitor (10/5): Great views and relaxing hotel near Sorrento - Great hotel, very friendly staff and great service. The property is at a high location, very enjoyable and relaxing with great views, but far from Sorrento downtown - you need a car or a taxi to go to Sorrento. It includes free parking which is very rare in the region. Property is not easy to find as GPS does not work for their address, however the staff does an excellent job giving you instructions. I would stay there again!

- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - Me and my partner stayed at this hotel and found it to be absolutely fabulous. The rooms were very big, comfortable with fantastic views of Sorrento and beyond. The hotel staff were amazing during our stay, they arranged free transport to restaurants, offered trips into the city for €20 (Taxi's would have been €50-60+) and even made our phone calls for us when we were in difficulty with our transfer bus. Though this hotel is around 30mins from the city square, it isn't a huge deal, there are bus routes to get you there and back (Sita Buses) though we chose to walk along ancient paths to get there which was a beautiful walk and bus back for €1.20. A big thank you to Michele, Maria and MaryLouisa for all their help and making our stay so wonderful we were sad to leave!
- Philip (8/5): Great B&B a bit of a hike to town - Property is very nice and private at a reasonable price in a very expensive area of Italy.. The rooms are large and we had a balcony with a great view of the city. There is a patio that has a great view as well. Owners are very nice and welcoming, rest of the staff has a limited command of English.The property is, however, about a 25 minute walk to town down a fairly steep sidewalk. Bus service is available near the property and runs about every 15 mins in the morning, but is less frequent the rest of the day.I thought I'd just drive to town, but driving in town was a nightmare even in mid Sept with very heavy pedestrian and car/bus traffic.

- Sarah (10/5): Serene location and attentive hosts. - An idyll on the hillside. Quiet & beautiful with helpful and considerate hosts, who met us late, saw us off early and made us a packed lunch in lieu of breakfast. Breakfast was elegant and authentic, with fruit picked straight from the garden. A beautifully kept terrace and clean splash pool were available throughout the daytime and added to our experience. Our room was wonderful for a family of four, all of whom loved our stay and were not keen to leave, when the time came. If you have any queries about your arrival, we would advise contacting them in advance, as they were more than helpful to us. Thank you again, Il Casale.
- Helen (8/5): Lovely peaceful B&B - A lovely small B&B. The owners were friendly and helpful, giving us all we needed to find our way around and make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast of homemade cakes was lovely too!The hotel is situated on the hill above Sorrento. Although we loved it, I would have to say it is suited to visitors with their own transport, or those (like us) who enjoy a bit of activity. There is a 5 minute walk to the local bus stop, with a 20 minute bus ride into Sorrento. Or you can walk down the moderately challenging footpath into town (would say this is fine for a person of average fitness). We chose the alternative of a 10 minute walk up to the nearest village of Sant Agata, which has a choice of restaurants and a welcoming atmosphere. During our stay there was a summer festival: Local shops & businesses offering tasters of their produce or games/competitions for a one-off payment of 15 Euros. There was also a selection of local performers and displays of dancing & gymnastics by the local children. A lovely evening that I would recommend.

- P & S (10/5): Nice Bed & Breakfast with Charm and Beautiful View - Even though it took us two hours to locate through windy and narrow roads, we are so glad to have spent two nights at Il Casale Sorrento. The staff to include Marilisa, Miguel, and Marie were simply superb. Because of our navigation troubles, Marilisa and Marie stayed late to check us in. The 5-room B&B had all the basics and plenty of charm with spectacular views of the bay. We were greeted each morning with a wonderful breakfast buffet of fresh pastries, cheeses, meats and coffee. We consider this B&B a good value and definitely a highlight of our 2-week vacation. Ciao!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely property! - Lovely property with nice views of Sorrento town centre. The outdoor Terrance made a nice relaxing place to chill. They had a small pool which the kids enjoyed. There were many fruit trees on the property. Best for those who have a car as the property is on a hill side not the town centre. Also note that they do not have A/C which is not ideal on hot days.
