Takterrassen var jättefin och låg högt med utsikt över stan. Missa inte att äta en frukost här. (Dock en annan operatör) Hotellets egen frukost var ganska begränsad. Rummen var väldigt olika. Försök få ett rum högt upp.

A truly lovely place that we recommend for your - The location is excellent and the atmosphere in the hotel is very rustic and romantic. The staff were very helpful and made a great effort celebrating me and my wife’s 50 years birthdays and 25 years as Married. We are very happy with our choice of hotel. The breakfast in the weekend seems a bit better than weekdays but we enjoyed both. The roof terras is a separate restaurant but accessible from the lobby and has great views for a morning coffee, extra breakfast or drinks and dinner in the amazing sunset. In our room we had a bit low water pressure in the shower, especially the hot water. The coffee is at an additional cost at breakfast.

El WC no sirvió por toda una noche y parte de la mañana. Hicieron el servicio de limpieza de la habitación hasta las 4 de la tarde y cuando ya estábamos en la habitación.

Ubicación inmejorable a pocos pasos de la plaza principal y de la Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. Instalaciones bonitas, cuartos cómodos, útil espacio de coworking. Este cuarto en específico no tiene ventanas (otros sí), que puede ser molesto en estadías más largas. El baño tenía ciertos problemas de plomería con una pequeña fuga de agua y en ocasiones se sentía olor a desagüe, de lo cual alerté a la recepción y ofrecieron atenderlo.

Por el precio se puede conseguir un alojamiento de más calidad en otra parte. 2. Instalaciones descuidadas. Puertas interiores viejas y descuidadas; ducha en pésimas condiciones, la mitad del agua caliente se escurría por la llave, la coladera no tenía reja y las repisas estaban oxidadas a punto de caerse; y las habitaciones no estaban insonorizadas se escuchaba todo. 3. Presencia de cucarachas en cada día de hospedaje. 4. Falta de estacionamiento y $500 MXN por día por servicio de valet parking que nunca estaba para recibir el coche.

- Rosa Iveth (6/5): El lugar es increíble y la ubicación, necesitan mencionar que no tienen elevador. - La ubicación del hotel es excelente, y la arquitectura y los restaurantes y bares dentro. 3 cosas: 1.- La habitación que nos asignaron el escusado estaba tapado. Comente en recepción y la señorita me dijo que me prestaba un destapa caños, haha, 2 se metió un gato a la habitación y solicitamos que lo sacaran, y la chica de recepción lo sacó y le comento al gato que no lo amabamos, hahaha. 3.- Y tercero, cerraron la llave del agua de paso, sin notificarnos y mi amiga se estaba bañando, y salí a recepción y le comente a la Srita que mi amiga se había quedado enjabonada, y me dijo que estaban reparando algo, y le digo que hacemos? , que mi amiga se salga con el jabón y me dice que si. El punto es que le hace falta mas profesionalismo a la gente de recepción, en cuanto se les presenta algún tema. Mas comunicación efectiva con los huéspedes, aunque sea un hotel amigable con los animales, no significa que debemos dejar entrar a nuestra habitación a cualquier gato o perro que no sea nuestro. Y si amamos a los animales. Necesitan tener supervisión de las habitaciones en cuanto a la limpieza, los azulejos de la regadera siempre estuvieron sucios. Nunca olió que se desinfectara la habitación. Y necesitan capacitar mejor al personal de recepción, ya que las soluciones o sus respuestas no son las correctas ya que estamos pagando por un servicio y el precio no es barato.

Inicialmente me asignaron una habitación que no tenía ni ventilación en baño y habitación, olía pésimo a humedad. Después me cambiaron a otra que mejoró un poco pero aún así bastante mal, las paredes llenas de salitre, el baño sin ventilación y en pésimas condiciones, el techo se desmoronaba, por la noche mucho ruido de la terraza además de que se llenó la habitación de humo como de una fogata cercana.

Also the hot water takes extremely long to get warm about 2o minutes running it. We did order the breakfast that comes with the room and it was very good and the wait staff was very helpful and very accommodating

Nice rooftop restaurant as well! The staff were effective and kind. Great beds. Wifi is not great and there is no elevator nor people who will help you carry suitcases up the stairs. Definitely something to flag as this is not accessibility friendly. I also asked if I could check in 30 minutes before 3:00 pm and they said no even though the room was ready. A staff member told me she would give me a better room if I showed her a 5 star and positive review of the hotel on my phone before even checking in or seeing the room, which I thought was very sneaky.

The location of the room, the room was very humid. We would get back from a long day to a humid and wet room. My husband’s glasses would fog up every-time we walked in. The shower, there was barely any water coming out and we showered with cold water our entire stay because there was no hot water. We asked and they never sent anyone to check it.

- alonsos463 (2/5): ⭐️ 1/5 – Beautiful rooftop view, but major water issues and poor service response - Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. Day 1: The room had no water pressure. The staff’s initial solution was to let us shower in another room before the next guests arrived, with a promise to fix the issue that day. Later, while the problem was reportedly “resolved,” the hotel then ran out of water entirely for all guests. Day 2: Still no running water. The staff offered little help and seemed indifferent to the inconvenience. While the rooftop offers a beautiful view, the overall service and maintenance fell far below expectations. We were in town for a wedding, and the ongoing water issues made the entire weekend unnecessarily complicated for everyone involved. In the future, I would completely avoid staying at this hotel.

- Traveler154945 (6/5): Loved the Rooftop, Not the Check-In - ⭐ 3/5 – Excellent Location, Amazing Rooftop Restaurant, but Inconsistent Service My friend and I stayed at Selina San Miguel de Allende from Sept 5–8 for my birthday. While the location and rooftop restaurant were definite highlights, the check-in experience and room maintenance left a lot to be desired. 🗺️ Arrival & First Impressions The hotel is located right in the heart of the city, which is perfect for exploring. That said, it’s not accessible by car, so we had to park a bit away and walk with our luggage — not a huge deal for us, but clear communication and better service could’ve really helped. We tried calling Selina multiple times for help, but no one answered. Ironically, staff from a different hotel (where we parked by mistake) were incredibly kind — even calling Selina on our behalf. The Selina staff member who answered was unhelpful and abrupt, and didn’t provide any clear instructions. No effort was made to contact us back or offer support, even though we had an active reservation. 🛏️ Room Experience Our original room had no windows and felt like a dungeon — nothing like the photos we saw while booking. After seeing how friendly and welcoming other hotels nearby were (even offering to show us their rooms with no obligation), we returned to Selina feeling disappointed. Luckily, when we came back that evening, a different front desk staff member was working. She was polite, professional, and clearly cared. After checking availability with her manager, she upgraded us to a better room right away — no delay, no hassle. Only after showing us the room did I mention it was my birthday, and she genuinely seemed happy to have helped make the experience better. Her attitude and effort made a big difference. 🧼 Cleanliness & Maintenance • Conditioner pump was broken • Shampoo was thin and watery • Toilet wasn’t cleaned properly during the entire stay • Water dispenser in the hallway was empty for two full days • A used Q-tip sat on the ground by it and was never removed • Bed and pillows were extremely firm and uncomfortable That said, housekeeping did tidy our room daily and left us two sealed water bottles each day. It would’ve been nicer if they were chilled in the fridge. 🍽️ Rooftop Restaurant – Best Part of the Stay The restaurant on the rooftop of Selina was phenomenal — delicious food, great cocktails, beautiful views, and excellent service. The difference in professionalism and warmth between the restaurant staff and the front desk was night and day. The restaurant team really made my birthday dinner special and left us with a great final impression. ⸻ Would I stay again? Maybe — the location is unbeatable and the rooftop is amazing, but the front desk service is hit or miss, and the rooms need better attention to detail. If Selina invested more into hospitality and consistency, this could easily be a 4 or 5-star stay.

The room was average nothing fancy standard room. This hotel does not have AC, nor room service, nor complimentary breakfast, nor common areas/amenities for guest to enjoy. So that was kind of the downside to things, but there is a bar located inside and a roof top restaurant both convenient on rainy days.

I would definitely recommend this hotel since it’s right next to many points of interest in San Miguel de Allende. I would like to mention that Janette in reception was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and easy to communicate with.

- Gabriela (2/5): don't bother - Jose was excellent, other than that, they double book my room and they expected me to return from an outing and get my stuff out. they bothered me with 7 phone calls and I thought it was an emergency but just wanted me to move. the noise from the bars is ridiculous.
- Lupe (8/5): My stay was enjoyable and booking here on my next trip back! - The property is located a couple of hundred feet from the cathedral that made it super easy to get around. The rooms were beautiful and their decor was so fitting for the area. The roof top had amazing views day and night. This property does have a lot stairs to get the your room which is expected. But for the older generation is not recommended due to the difficulty of the stairs.

- Lynne (10/5): - I'm glad I chose this hotel. The people there were SO NICE. They went out of their way to help you. And luckily the people at the front desk also spoke English. The room was nice and cool. (It was warm outside - 73° - in July, but maybe it's my jeans.) The double room is a nice size, with a very high ceiling - heat rises. The bed is great. If you need a hairdryer, ask at the desk ahead of time. And, of course, i used the wifi. For you young ones, the weekend is a hsppening time. The locstion is perfect- across from the tallest building, so you can't get too lost. The breakfast is copious. If you need a hair dryer, ask at the front desk ahead of time. You are literally right next to the famous San Miguel Parroquia on a walking street that connects to the Jardin. Couldn't get a better location. The building is so beautiful & historic. The bar & restaurant are great! Good breakfast. Staff tries so hard to make your stay perfect. I've stayed here many nights before and years later, the staff remains so warm & welcoming. It feels like coming home to me. Best Rooftops in SMA! Both offering spectacular views. Some of the best views I've seen in San Miguel. Super comfortable bed, pillows, impeccably clean room Staff went so far out of their way to get my allergy medicine in the middle of the night. Going to pharmacy & bringing me a box of meds at 11:40p. They were so helpful & caring. Jose at the front desk is so nice & willing to help you with anything. Everyone was lovely! My room with balcony looking at the Parroquia cathedral was spectacular. I'll never forget it! Thank you Selina!!
