Guest Reviews
- Cooper (1/5): I would recommend never stay in there - Definitely not very professional Absolutely nothing
- Howard (7/5): clean, well located motel for overnighter in Orillia - good location, friendly staff, clean older, no secondary door lock
- Katherine (7/5): Clean room, would stay again - The room was maybe not super modern, the furniture and duvet were an older style, but everything was very clean, so that was a huge bonus. The room was quiet once we turned off the airconditioning. The mirror has an LED light in it, which was a cool feature. No hair dryer, the airconditioning was super loud.
The room was maybe not super modern, the furniture and duvet were an older style, but everything was very clean.
- Murray (7/5): The shower and bathroom were updated and very nice. -
- William (5/5): - Television was horrible. No local TV channels available, only netflicks, Disney and something called Roku--whatever that is.
- Hopkin (9/5): - The man at front desk was courteous and friendly. Gave us directions to Casino. Joked around with us at checkout, I will stay here again if up in that area again.
- Ted (8/5): Single night stay - My stay was just overnight, and all I was looking for was a clean place to sleep. I chose a place which fit my budget and it has worked out very well. The room is older but perfectly fine. The only thing missing was a desk to set my laptop on so I could use my computer.
- Julio (8/5): - Very good service
- Felix (6/5): - The staff were very nice. My room was clean.
I didn’t see any bugs. Could use some fresh flooring… maybe laminate so it’s easy to mop/ disinfect.
For a place to stay… it did the job. I’d stay again.
- Kevin (8/5): - The room was spacious and clean. There was no lock on the bathroom door, and no hot water at the sink.
- Kari (8/5): - Just the mix up on the deposit and how it is goingvto straightened out. Still waiting for someone to get back to me.
- Denholm (7/5): -
- Claudia (7/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): Adequate - NA
- Kara (10/5): -
- Felix Schneider (9/5): Richtig gutes Motel - Sehr freundlich, unkompliziert, schöne Zimmer, modernes Bad. Nahe vom See
Günstig. -
- Anne (5/5): Passable - Big deposit for what!
- Jeannette (8/5): - ok
- Tara (8/5): - Good place to spend the night. Walking dustance to beach and parks. Beautiful sunrise over the lake.
- andrew (2/5): - Booked a room through expedia, paid for a room with one bed. When I arrived to my room after check-in, I was surprised to see that there were two beds in the room, but as the check-in agent hadn't mentioned anything, I just assumed they were out of rooms with one bed. My friend and I slept in separate beds, and checked out in the morning. A week later I was checking my credit card statement, and found a charge for $20 from the property. I called them up to question what the charge was for. Immediately after I mentioned the charge, I was told that we had left a stain on the bedsheets and that was why I had been charged. I questioned what the stain was, and he said he'd have to go back thru his photos. After questioning how he came up with the reason so quickly, the manager said it was very rare to have stains and that he would send me pictures of it. I again asked what the stain was, and then he changed his story, saying that we had originally booked a room with one bed, but he had given us two, and we had used both. I said that he never mentioned at checkin that there would be a fee for using the second bed, and in fact he never even mentioned that there was a second bed in the room. He said, 'well that's just common sense, isn't it.' When I said that it would be common sense to let a guest know about any possible extra charges stemming from the room, and that I'd like it refunded, he told me to take it up with my credit card company.
TL; DR, this hotel is shady, charging gue
- Jane (6/5): - I did not like having to provide a security deposit but we did get it back I found out later in the day, thankfully. The rates are very reasonable. Room 115 was very clean and had recently been renovated it seemed. The only problem was the old AC's fan was VERY loud, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The TV's volume was not working so we could not watch anything. There was a fridge and microwave that were also clean. The walls seem fairly sound proof. If they fix the AC problem we would return but would bring our own kettle so we could make tea.
- Ron (8/5): - bed was new and comfortable. little street noise but not bad.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - The rooms were comfortable. Nice having a fridge and a microwave.
- Catherine (6/5): - The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The AC unit worked well. Overall a very satisfactory stay.
- Loretta (8/5): - Short stay to celebrate my brother's birthday. Room was clean and beds and pillows were really comfy. Its dated but all we needed for the night
- Nagy (5/5): Passable -
- JOSE (2/5): - This property is regular, what makes it bad is the staff, not client oriented at all.
- Diane (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend - Didn’t No parking
Felt dirty
Outdated
No shampoo, hairdryer
Couldn’t park in front of our room. Had to park around the back
Did not feel comfortable
Too much money for the accommodation
If they had wifi, we weren’t giving the code
Wasn’t secure box to hand in the key.
- Amanda (6/5): - I stayed at The King's Inn in Orillia for a night while passing through, and overall, it was a decent stay for the price. I wasn’t expecting a luxury experience, but it was convenient and met my needs. The room was generally clean—blankets were fresh, though one had cigarette burns. The bathroom was clean, and while the carpets were old, they were well-maintained. The walls are quite thin, so noise could be an issue for light sleepers. The beds were on the firmer side—comfortable enough for my 8-year-old, though a bit too firm for my preference (but better than being clumpy!).
If you're looking for an affordable, no-frills place for a short stay, The King's Inn is a solid option.
- Paul (7/5): Good - you should have a coffee maker in the room.
Wife was pretty grumpy with no coffee in the morning
- Jonathan (10/5): - Good little motel for a single night stay off your visiting Orillia or Casino Rama
- Hugh (7/5): Good -
- Jeremy (10/5): - Great customer service
- Mario (4/5): - Very rundown
- Clinton (4/5): Disappointing - For the amount of money leaving my pocketbook I expected a room where I didn't need to do a room sweep. Was immediately on edge. Wifi was spotty at best. Cell reception as well. Decor was "creative". Couldn't wait until morning to check out.
- Wendy (7/5): Good -
- Ashley (5/5): Way over priced and bad location - Property is very out dated, very hard to find and not close to anything.
- Rosanna (1/5): Bad -
- Jody (8/5): Cheap n cheery getaway for boots n hearts concert ♥️ 😄😄 - Washroom very clean always brought clean towels only minor.challenge was.toilet seat didn't stay up ... Roads under construction couldn't be helped
- Endre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (9/5): Superb - Everything was as expected. The room was clean as was the property. Everything in the room was working. The staff was very nice! Rooms are dated, however in good shape.
- Faghihi (7/5): Good - Clean Charged 150$ instead of agreement which was about 138$
No electric kettle or coffee in the room
No slippers in the washroom
No seperate shampoo and body wash
Construction and soil in neighber
Old appliances
- Molly (5/5): Needed a place to stay after a social function so it fulfilled that need but that’s about it. - TV sound reception was terrible. No Kleenex tissues or soap in the washroom. Had to ask for drinking glasses. No overhead light and one bulb for bedside lamp not working.
- Anatoly (6/5): - Its quite
- Eduarda (2/5): - Well the property as advertised on you website not what I expected( Drug / Biker den) And on top under construction … Brutal . I was asked for 20$ for extra person and charged on my card $ 220 .. as a go between business you have to also protect your consumer / user .. I will not use Expedia ever again !!! I will be posting this experience in every media app.Pull up your ethical socks …
- Brian (8/5): - The entire street was under construction, not the hotels fault but didn't know how to navigate the area.
- Patrick (8/5): Not for the price - No coffee maker.
- Daniel (8/5): - Enjoyed my stay. Clean room. Quiet. Was just the construction/closed roads around the property that was a bit confusing since I’m not from the area. Other all great experience. Would return to kings inn.
- Shane (8/5): Good for the pru -
- Richard (10/5): - Road here is being worked on so harder to find. Good place to stay.
- Terry (10/5): - I booked for one night but decided to see if my room was available the following night. It was. The owners were very friendly. So much so that when checking out my car wouldn’t start. I left my lights on. I asked if he knew a towing company to boost my car battery and he said not to worry. He brought out a portable booster and saved me around $60. Now that’s customer service.
- Sydney (7/5): Good -
- Harland (7/5): Good - Road work had to take the long way around to get downtown
- manuela (8/5): - We stayed hoping to see the Northern lights.
Convenient for location, price. Otherwise, outdated, but still ok.
- Danny (8/5): Was just an overnight stay while my floor in my apartment was being fiixed - TV
- Moreau (5/5): Great price for an ok room. Man at desk was nice. - The price was the best part. The room was clean. Man at desk was nice. The room was dated and it was cold in the room. They new they had quests coming. At least turn the heat up to a warmer temperature. We had to snuggle together under the blankets to get warmed up.
- Elmer (5/5): Passable - Concierge was quite friendly.
Place felt secure .
Warm. Pillows
Dripping faucet in tub
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Russ (6/5): Good value - Price Na
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Longden (3/5): Poor - Just ok not that clean, lots of rough people around Vomit in bathroom sink, shower was scalding or freezing. Didn't feel that safe. Pretty sure someone slept in vehicle in parking lot. Could have got a much better place for a small amount more.
- Carly (10/5): Exceptional - Great customer service. Nothing to note!
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Price was perfect.
- Frederick (10/5): - I was looking for a cheap place to retire to and this place fits the bill perfectly
- Laila (9/5): Superb -
- TITAN (4/5): - Cleaner smoking while cleaning room
- Calvin (5/5): Passable - Was cheap You get what you pay for cheap to stay and it looked like it was under renovations
- 931stormij (2/5): Horrible place - This place is a joke.
Its like stepping into a time machine to the 1980s . Rooms are dirty and prepare for loud drunks outside your room wooing and hollering with falling all over the place with their bong in hand.
This place also rips you off for money and for 1 night the owner charged my card over $500. Good luck trying to get it back.
Seriously don't rent here . It's horrible
- Brenda (6/5): Pleasant - Our room was clean and quiet location
- Robert (10/5): - The owner was very helpful.
- Robert (8/5): Will definitely stay there again when up that way at the casino. - We had a good price for our stay. We weren't expecting much for the price, just wanted a place for a quick sleep. Expected it to be kind of run down. But inside the room it was well cleaned and in great shape. The bathroom window needed a towel to be put up to block the outside that looked onto a backyard.
- Laurie (8/5): Very good - Comfortable clean room. Beds were very comfortable. No coffee maker for hot drinks. Could use some updating.
- Mclaughlin-rabb (7/5): Good -
- Kenneth (8/5): - It was a pleasant stay
- michael (8/5): - Good location
Good value
Restaurant neer by wasn't open very much
- Tamil (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (7/5): Comfortable beds. - Comfortable beds. Noise from outsiders early in the morning.
- Martin (5/5): Passable - The owner sent us to the back of the hotel we’re all the addict stays I was even offer crystal meth and people are up all night in drugs . Do not stay at the back it’s a terrible experience.
- Stacey (8/5): A quick stay - Booking, check-in and checkout was great. Super easy. Affordable stay really easy to find from highway. Not the most clean accommodations but I also wasn't expecting a palace at this price point!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You get what you pay for
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): Good, cheap option for one night - It's a basic motel, but I was happy with the hot water in the shower and decent wall-mounted AC. The room doesn't have an overhead light, so it's a bit dim, but with the lamps on, it's ok. Overall, it was pretty clean though the bathroom looked like the floor wasn't swept thoroughly. The wifi worked with no issues and the TV, microwave, and fridge also were fine. It's about a 20 minute walk downtown, which is nice in the summer.
Overall, a good, cheap option for a one-night stay in Orillia.
- Ashley (8/5): - Big bathrooms
- Gibson (8/5): My stay was really relaxing and enjoyable. -
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wendy (5/5): For the price, it was fair. - There was no breakfast, non that I seen. Rooms were dated, no frosting on the bathroom window for privacy; the curtain was appropriate for a kitchen window.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- S1338FNallanb (2/5): Unprofessional and ignorant. Doesn't deserve any business - I didn't go. I didn't even get to finish inquiring about the room and if they allow pets, only to be hung up on. I Do not recommend this place to anyone. And Definitely don't inquire about pets or you'll just be hung up on. All he had to say was that they don't allow pets. Not just say no and hang up.
- Macdonald (8/5): Very good -
- Manclark (9/5): Superb -
- Marta (6/5): Pleasant - Beds were very comfortable They did not have a coffee machine
- Paul (7/5): ok i guess - price no ac
- Bruce (7/5): Good -
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Pleasant stay, but short visit. - No breakfast included. The date you have was cancelled until the following Thursday. I was in further away from the traffic. The A/C is not at the front window which I preferred anyway to not be. Many channels to catch on the TV. WI FI has good connection. Has full size bigger than mini fridge and microwave. Rooms maintained well and even have carbon monoxide detectors for safety. We arrived late and could not check out any later than 11 am or charged room rate as a second night's stay. Gentleman, too busy to take the key even at 11 am. when he gave no extra later checkout time for us. Need to bring our own coffee or tea and coffeemaker. Not supplied in the room. Not even an electric kettle.
- Frederick (9/5): Superb -
- Merchant (10/5): Exceptional - Vlean room. Great owner!
- Chantal (1/5): Disgusting motel room. Expected for it to be out of date and not the cleanest but it was so gross - There was so much hair all over the beds, the fridge didn’t work. Hair all in the shower drains.
- Paterson (8/5): Very good - Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Good deal. a bit dated but good value for the money
Recommended.
- Sandra (1/5): Bad experience - I was going to do a google review but I got kicked out after they couldn't find my reservation, husband and wife were rude arrogant and kicked me out in the pouring rain. Locked the door and I've never been had this experience. I stayed in better smelling condition hotels. It was damp and cold when I walked in, it was smelly, everything was close knit together and they just spat at me on both ends and kicked me out!! They kept telling me 3 pm your check in. Ive never had that experience in my years of traveling!! And when they couldn't FIND my reservation, they immediately turned on me! But I got home and its saying I'm a no show!! If you're a paying customer, you get great service but someone like me who walks in, they just cancel or say you don't have one! Funny thing is, I didn't give her my last name, just my first and said I didn't reserve one!! Liars👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 The two owners yelling at me to leave immediately! I was trying to see if I can still book a room and they kept telling me to get out. I wasn't happy and it says I wasn't a no show even though I showed up early to pay!!
