There was only 2 towels in the room, which the were more than willing to have us come get more. So for a one or two night fishing trip, it’s fine. If you sat on the couch it felt like you were sitting on the floor. Front entry smelt like weed all three nights. Wasn’t worth the price we had to pay to stay there.

- Lakota (4/5): - Neither Expedia (where I booked) nor the front desk clerk told us the pool was closed. When I checked in, I said, “we booked this hotel for the pool”. He didn’t mention it was out. We four changed into swimming suits and went down to the pool which wasn’t available, only the hot tub. In the heat of summer, choosing a higher price for a pool was a major disappointment. We had searched and found a local water park several miles away. We also reserved the room as four, only two towels in the bathroom, two hand towels and washcloths by the sink. Won’t be going back and I do not recommend
- Charles (4/5): - Room was outdated. Pullout mattress had stains on it and no sheets when we arrived. Didn’t look like the hallways had been vacuumed ever. Run down hotel and maintenance was not a priority. Pool was out of service.

- Amy (2/5): Worst stay ever! Do not stay here! - The floor was dirty every morning in the breakfast hall. The only reason they did clean it was by fourth day of us being there the same Cheerios and Fruit Loops were on the floor and I said something to the front desk person. There were sugar ants in our bathroom. There was only one towel and one washcloth offered in our bathroom at check-in. I was told that the swimming pool would be in service earlier in the week when we got there. It was not, there was a huge maintenance sign on the door instead. Breakfast was terrible and everything would not pass health code if there was an inspection. I had to always ask for bananas or cream cheese every morning since there were none replaced every morning for breakfast. The front office did not seem to care at all and blamed everything on the owners.

Cons: the room floor clearing hadn't been vacuumed as I continually step on small chucks of "something" and the overall condition of the hotel did not warrant the price of the room Also, the front desk staffed seemed annoyed that I asked a couple of basic questions like where on the hotel map the room was and if there were any other entry doors closer to the room. Would not stay here again.

- mikepU6139XQ (4/5): unsafe and unsanitary - When I checked in, was told that the pool was closed due to maintenance. The door for the pool area did not close in a timely fashion...2-3 minutes to "lock", and the pool had filthy black water in it. The hottub's "jets" were not working well at all. To go in the backdoor to get to my room, the keypad didn't have to be swiped, it was just always unlocked. I didn't expect much, but wow man, how about making sure your guests feel safe? Will not stay in this motel again...certainly not for $124/night....(during the weekdays).

- Kenneth L (8/5): Better than many in Pierre - We have stayed for nearly a week each year since 2022 while working near town. Rooms are good & clean, although some show wear. Breakfast options are above average. This year they actually did some room cleaning daily.
- Mark (4/5): - We chose this property because it had good reviews, overall an 8. We were looking for a safe, clean place for our family. The clientele were less than put together, the room had used tissues and energy drink cans in the pull out bed, stains on the pull out mattress, stains on pillows, a hole in the door in the bedroom, burned out lightbulbs, and a red heat lamp bulb in the bathroom (?). Additionally, the hot breakfast (eggs and sausage) were both cold (1st thing in the morning) and there was not any decaf coffee in the breakfast area.

The desk clerk offered a different room but I needed the handicapped room for the shower. The clerk did call someone in to clean the room but it was a terrible first impression. Also, the pool and hot tub were out of order. I will not stay here again or recommend this motel.

No idea the last time the top comforter had been cleaned. The pool was not working and by the color of the water it looked like it had not been working for a long time.

- 788dalet (2/5): Wyndham Properties SUCK!!!! Stay someplace else! - Was in town for the Governor's Inauguration. This is the hotel the state put me up in. The good: The room was pretty clean. The bad: They signed me up for a Wyndham Rewards account without asking. The front desk clerk couldn't type my name properly from my Drivers License. I don't want that account and tried to close it. Can't do it with the Reward Member number, Need the name on the account. Since he can't spell, they can't verify it and can't close it. Asked for a call back from Wyndham supervisor 36 hours ago and no call. Emailed Governors Inn at the same time asking for a call from the owners or manager, still no response. Breakfast - Sausage wasn't browned, just kinda rubbery from being microwaved. Staff maintaining breakfast area were wearing their pajamas really didn't look like self hygiene was their strong point. Common areas are really tired. Hallway carpet was dirty and desperately needed replacing. Honestly, this has kinda been my goto when in Pierre, but no more!

- Wendy (6/5): Meh - We changed from a lower priced hotel to this one because of the hot tub. Well the hot tub was out of order. Should have gotten a discount.
- Jennifer (10/5): It was ok - For Pierre it was a decent place to stay. The beds were hard and the pillows were flat, the hottub was cold but the kids didn’t care. The breakfast area was really clean and there was a nice continental breakfast. Oh and the back door didn’t lock.

- Seth (4/5): - Very dirty everything. Stains on bed spread AND sheets. anything upholstered had stains. Pretty sure they didn’t change the sheets either.
- Kara (6/5): - Old and run down. Toilet in my room needed replaced it was so cracked and gross. The rest of the room was pretty good. I wasn’t acknowledged when I went up to the front desk. They were having card troubles but I only knew that from overhearing - no one actually explained it. Not bad if you need a place to stay for a night but probably wouldn’t stay again.

- rebeccatQ9867EL (2/5): Very bad experience - Management was awful. I was there for a funeral in town. The key reader on my door malfunctioned after I went down for breakfast. I had to wait almost 2 hrs before I got back in my room. It was evident the door had prior issues. I finally called the police to come help me. Management did not seem concerned about the urgency due to my aunt's funeral I needed to get to. The door lock had prior issues, it should have been replaced at that time.

- LittleVallie (4/5): Wyndham put their name on this? - Room was not really clean. Bathroom had much to be desired. Pool and hot tub were out of order due to maintenance although I saw no "maintenance" -- just toys in the pool and shallow water in the hot tub. There was a towel which had written on it "pool" in our bathroom. A very shabby motel all around.
