- Richard (6/5): - Evening meal was nice The bed was so bad, I thought about sleeping on the floor
- Andre (6/5): Overall good room, poor dining experience. - Clean comfortable room. Booked a meal for 9 people and in short it was a very unpleasant experience
Meal took 80 minutes to arrive, the fish was raw and still put on our bill
We asked to speak to the manager and were met with a very hostile lady who was defensive even although we politely tried to explain our frustration
We left after our mains although we had planned to spend the evening there
The worst dining experience all 9 of us have ever had.
- Bain (8/5): We enjoyed it but disappointed that we could not swim. - It was very clean and well decorated We were very disappointed that the swimming pool was closed as that is the reason we booked this particular hotel. We could have stayed other places which would have been considerably cheaper but we wanted to swim.
- Mairi (10/5): Comfortable stay - Spacious and quiet room. Easy access to main road into Aberdeen. Good food and drink options.
- Craig (9/5): - Swimming was great the only thing that lets it down is the breakfast great hotel great staff
- Jurgita (9/5): We enjoyed our stay - Was clean and comfortable
- Max (6/5): Expensive for what it is. Could be better - Good location. Coffee on site. Gym on site. Great bed! Restaurant wasn’t up to much. The manager at dinner was arsey, after waiting 20 mins to get noticed for a table. Others walked away and left.
TV didn’t work in the room.

- Elaine (8/5): Great hotel, very comfortable but would stay more if there was a fridge - room was great and hotel has pretty much everything A game changer for me would be a fridge in the room

- Leanne (10/5): Happy - Lovely modern and clean Pub was a little overpriced for the quality of food

- John (9/5): Would definitely stay here again when back in the North East of Scotland. - Easy to find with good parking (we were there for a weekend), good restaurant and very comfortable room with good facilities. Also, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing comes to mind.
- Josephine (4/5): Fine but annoying no tv or wifi - Facilities Tv and WiFi not working
- markgC5049RE (2/5): Not very helpful - Not very flexible. This booking was made months ago with Booking.com. Due to two factors beyond my control i was unable to attend. Tried to cancel or rearrange and both times i got a flat no. Booking.com referred me to the hotel and the hotel referred me to Booking.com. Zero empathy and organisation and both passing the buck to each other. I appreciate some room bookings say they are set in stone as per the agreement but folks....life happens. Have some decency and empathy. I would have understood if it was a more sought after hotel. It was booked because it was cheap. Bigger hotels are a bit more helpful. Maybe worth looking at that way of running a business?

- james (7/5): - Hotel was really well located for what I needed The food was a bit on the expensive side and the WiFi was terrible
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Katie (8/5): -
- Denis (10/5): Personnel très agréable avec un établissement très sympa et moderne - La chambre familiale qui était confortable, le calme Un peu éloigné mais cela nous convenait parfaitement dans notre road trip
- Susan (5/5): - Bed was comfortable Step out of bath was very high after showering. Trip hazard.
Noise of doors banging close next door very loud.
Temperature of room very hot and when open windows the wind was banging against the blinds.
- Sukhjinder (3/5): Will not stop there again - The pool but they charged £5for use , especially when I paid over £130 to stay at the hotel The noise of the gym activity
- Sarah (8/5): A lovely short family break in a hotel with very friendly staff - Great location, plenty of parking, great restaurant with great range of food on the menu. Kids ate for free with a paying adult during Easter holidays. Fantastic Swimming pool and gym access for all guests in the room for only £5. Starbucks on site is a plus ! Some of the furniture is looking a little dated in the lobby. This hotel is not for guests that have no access by car.
- Samantha (10/5): - Rooms were so clean and spacious bed was very comfortable No complaints
- John (8/5): - Easy to get to and access

- Danielle (10/5): -
- Kylie (8/5): - Everything was good All clean and tidy other than the window had lots of realy visable handprints all over no big deal tho. Coffee tray wasnt very well topped up but i do have alot of coffee and when i requested more it was no issue
- Gary (10/5): -
- Neil (8/5): Good hotel, but avoid using Booking.com - Breakfast and meals good. Room could do with a fridge. I did not like the Booking. Com service im afraid and have resolved not to use you again. I had to try and change my booking and the avatar robot was useless, kept transferring but loosing my call. Took me more that 2 hours to resolve. Feel hugely let down and frustrated. Please, please drop this impersonal e-robot frustration.
- Brian (9/5): Return to sender! - Great staff and facilties and love the fun and funky vibe. Only tiny things.
- Sockets only on one side of bed
- Round shelf on one side of bed encouraged things to fall off down side of bed
- If guest just include gym use in price as It is "sunk cost" anyway
All the important things were excellent though.
- Olasunbo Olatorera (8/5): Nice - Nice environment Spacious
- Tom And Joan (6/5): The room fitted our purpose of staying for one night. - Comfortable firm bed
Clean room and bathroom Exercise class starting up at 6am had very loud beating music.
Guide on how to use the room thermostat would have been useful.
Hooks on the wall would have been useful as there were only 2 hangers each to hang clothes on
- adelek200 (2/5): Nice Hotel but not if you want a good nights sleep. - What a lovely hotel ruined by the noise of the gym, stayed on the first floor. Could hear the gym equipment. Then at 6am blaring dance music then comes the trainer shouting instructions and again the banging of gym equipment. Just not good enough when you read reviews from 2023 saying the exact same thing. Some kind of warning and discount is needed if giving guests these rooms. Not fair at all.
- Marcus (9/5): -
- Z880ETjohn (8/5): Handy and clean - Very handy clean and comfortable with helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was a problem. The only small complaint is the price of breakfast, for a standard breakfast
- Martyn (10/5): -
- chris (9/5): -
- Joe (10/5): - Couldn't fault the place.
- Louise (10/5): Lovely, friendly clean place to stay. - Lovely clean hotel with good size rooms. Tea, coffee and milk, iron board, hair dryer, large tv and shampoo and shower gel are added bonuses. Always been greeted by lovely, friendly staff who don't hesitate to help if you need help. A bit out the way of the centre of town but thats what we loved about it. Landscaping outside is also lovely with fish in the little ponds in the front if the hotel. Restaurant a bit pricey for average food. My only complaint.
- Sheila (9/5): Excellent comfortable hotel, good parking - Comfortable clean excellent parking Carpet in corridor getting a bit worn
- Graeme (10/5): Great value, very friendly staff, lovely clean hotel with everything I needed for my stay. - Everything. Clean, tidy, efficient and friendly staff, great buffet breakfast Nothing, loved it
- Jack (8/5): - Really nice room, comfortable bed and good amenities Would expect a smart TV in the rooms for the price and high quality of the rest of the Hotel
- Colin (9/5): We will definitely book again - Breakfast and dinner were very good room was comfortable. Gym and pool facilities were really good
- Linda (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay - Very peaceful and clean ,comfy bedrooms There wasn’t anything we didn’t like
- Holly (9/5): - Room

- padd0wn (10/5): Great stay, great food awesome staff - We came to visit for just one night the stay from beginning to end was fabulous. The hotel was spotless and a very high standard. The restaurant was great food and lovely setting. The pool and sauna , steam room all used these were nothing special but clean and comfortable. For the price we paid it was brilliant would have been worth twice what we paid. Will be using a village hotel again no problem.
- J6409HEdenisew (2/5): Hellish - Appallingly bad! I travel across the UK,
all the time. I came here for a family party. We came to our room. No music. The residents next door complained about noise. We were chatting. Really? Two large and foreign security men came to our door. One was so aggressive he had to be held back by the other. Intimidating terrifying, unnecessary. Never again
Do not come to this hotel. Shambolic, scary disrespectful.
- wxc (10/5): Faultless - We had arranged a function for 50 folk staying 2 nights mid-week.
The service from the moment we entered was first class.
Professional, helpful and friendly reception staff.
Lovely, modern rooms.
Great breakfast choice and quality. Lovely staff.
The formal function was exceptional. Debz the events manager was superb. Enthusiastic, extremely professional, friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our function was a great success.
The function bar and waiting staff were brilliant too.
The food was top notch. Not one complaint, only praise! The chefs and kitchen staff clearly know what they’re doing.
Genuinely, we can’t thank the staff enough. They deserve great praise for the pride they clearly have working at the venue!
😃👌
- xxshionaxx (10/5): Weekend stay with family - Nice hotel, very clean, good sized rooms but food and drink very expensive. Got into trouble for messaging while in the pool area. I understand no photos but no mobile usage at all is a bit strict
- Danielle (7/5): -
- Walter (9/5): Perfect short break - The breakfast was excellent, staff very pleasant
- Christine (10/5): -
- Jonathan (3/5): Disappointed - The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful roommates was clean. I was very disappointed with my stay. Being woken up at 6am by an exercise class directly below my room was extremely frustrating. The music was incredibly loud, and the instructor was shouting throughout the session. On top of that, there were constant loud bangs from gym equipment being dropped on the floor.
This was not what I expected after paying a significant amount for the room. Guests should be able to rest without being disturbed so early in the morning. If I had wanted to wake up for a gym class, I would have signed up for one myself. If you’d like, I can also make it shorter and harsher (more typical of reviews) or more detailed so it has a bigger impact.
- Jack main (9/5): - Nice and clean
- dmmcd (4/5): Don't waste your time! - We booked three hotel rooms on 28/02/26 as a family weekend . We used to go several times a year when they did good deals as the kids loved the pool but the service was always so poor, that eventually even a cheap deal could not tempt us.... however this year we decided to give it a try again and wish we had not.
We were seated in the bar area which was cold but told by the waitress that we could not be moved as the restaurant was fully booked, despite me booking days beforehand. As the evening progressed, the restaurant was certainly not full, not even busy. In fact it was so quiet that the waiting staff just stood about all evening chatting. It is now order at the bar or on the app so staff are hardly run off their feet.
After finishing our starters, the staff tried to put down our mains on the table. I had to point out that there was no room, as nothing had been cleared from our table of nine ie plates or glasses. Reluctantly, they took the empty plates, still leaving all the glasses. Two and a half hours later, our table still had not been cleared from our original glasses or mains plates (whilst the staff chatted away with each other). Not once were we asked how our meal was.
I then complained about our seating and the service and was told that actually it is difficult to put a large table in the restaurant. Why lie and say it was fully booked? After complaining, the waiters came and took away our plates but still did not clear the glasses on our overflowing table. We were also offered a refund of our breakfasts. Six days later,I am still awaiting my refund of £45 but to be fair to them , my brother received his refund within a couple of days. Three emails later to customer services and I am still awaiting a response. Its a lovely hotel but everyone instead to locally has the same views.... the service is appalling.
