- Tamara (10/5): - A fantastic place to stay for visiting Victoria Falls! I stayed in one of the rooms within the campsite part of the grounds. It was perfect for what I needed - a comfy bed and a clean private bathroom. The basic rooms don't have TVs but it wasn't missed as I spent most of my time on the riverside patio at the restaurant! Having the Safpar booking office right on site was super convenient. They were able to arrange a trusted taxi driver who provided return transport to the falls, as well as airport transfer. It's probably a bit cheaper finding taxis outside of the hotel, but this was definitely a convenient option. The restaurant was fantastic, especially the pizzas 🍕 I would definitely stay again!!

Only slight gripe, and it might not have been the Hotels fault was that the WiFi tended to drift in and out. But overall fantastic value for money.

A bit noisy before 10:30 on Wed. night and lots of mosquitoes in tents but bug spray was ready to be used in the tents and took care of the problem rapidly.
- Pepito (2/5): - RATS RATS RATS! I would not recommend. My room was on the top floor and it looked nice, but that’s where it ends. The Good: the restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. The restaurant staff were great and so were the front desk staff. The Bad: I was woken up in the middle of the night when a couple of rats got in my room. They started running around the room and were making noises! I couldn’t go back to sleep, I was too grossed out. Second, because of the mosquitoes, the staff must have used the entire can of mosquito spray because the smell was so strong, I had a hard time breathing. Maybe other guests who were on the bottom floor had better experience than mine, but I definitely did not have a good experience.

- David (10/5): Another great stay at the Waterfront - We stay every visit to Livingstone, probably 4-5 time in as many years. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Activities centre right next door to reception so plenty to choice from.

- Gordon (10/5): - This was out 4th visit to the Victoria Falls Waterfront. The welcome is always exceptional - warm and friendly. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The pools are clean and inviting. The bar and food are run to a very high standard. I understand that the lodge is owned by the company which provides safaris and other activities in the area so booking these is easy. We have now done a walking safari 4 times and see and learn new things each time. Cannot recomend this place enough.

- Penney (8/5): - I loved the location next to one of the lakes the feed into Victoria Falls. The turndown service was great for preparing your mosquito net and spraying the room to keep the bugs out as much as possible. It had a very real wildlife experience feeling. The people were safe however, I had security walke to my room after dark because of the baboons. I just don't trust baboons. Also it was dark. The only con on the hotel was my shower drain wasn't working properly.

- Allison (10/5): - What can I say about my stay. It was absolutely fantastic. I stayed in the Adventure Tents and they were exactly as shown on the Expedia site. The area is cleaned and tidied on a constant basis. The staff were wonderful. Very attentive and helpful. Lubasi, the manager is a great asset to the Victoria Falls Waterfront, as is all the staff. My only hope is that the management really know how how special the staff are. The breakfasts were amazing, and included in the price. The dinners I purchased were all so good and delicious. Compliments to the chef and staff. I would recommend the Victoria Falls Waterfront to anybody looking for a great, clean, tidy and affordable place to stay. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay so special.

Choice of two restaurants and bars, although the Sunday night buffet at the higher end part of the hotel was overpriced for what was offered. Wood oven pizza was good. Fairly comfortable beds, very limited number of channels available on the TV. But that is not what you are there for anyway!

- Daniel (10/5): Beautiful relaxing hotel - My wife and I had a lovely long weekend stay at the Waterfront. It it in a brilliant location and boasts some stunning views. The partnership with the neighboring hotel also means there's an alternative place to eat and relax just next door. The rooms are fairly simple but have what you need to enjoy your stay. No televisions, which means you do feel very 'unplugged' from the noise. The staff are all very kind, welcoming and helpful.

The balcony right on the river was great, but really buggy, so you don’t use it very much. I’m old and I think the waterfront would be perfect for someone young and on a budget. Next time, I will stay next door at the David Livingstone.

I’d sit out with my coffee in the morning & watched a couple monkeys playing in the trees! Everyone was so very helpful, meals were good & reasonable. The only problem was getting water mixed correctly in the shower—seemed to go from very hot to cold—was hard to regulate. Otherwise, everything was wonderful & I made new friends from all over!

It's not a palace and for the cost you would not expect it to be. That said, it is clean and friendly and the staff are always willing to help. They can organise any tours or experiences for you and I find that they provide excellent value for money.

Lovely location and good food. An especially good 'English' breakfast included! The tour office offers excellent tours and trips. - Robert (10/5): Can't beat the Waterfront - I have stayed at the Waterfront previously, and it maintains its lively and adventurous atmosphere, great service, reasonably priced good food and full bar, and its status as a one-stop shop for arranging all activities in the area. The location on the river is superb, the deck and bar area and pool are rustically inviting and picture-perfect at dusk, and the on-site travel agency makes planning one's entire agenda while at Vic Falls a breeze. The staff is always gracious and attentive, and small in-room inconveniences were immediately addressed. Extraneous requests were remembered and generously granted by management and staffers. The riverside room with a terrace, reached walking over the very colorful footbridge with its tree cover and running stream, offers the kind of environment one would want in such a place as Vic Falls. The hotel offers notably close-by access to key activities -- safaris to Chobe and Mosi-ao-Tunya parks, the falls, microlight flights, rafting, and the sunset cruise departing from its dock. Patrons are of all ages and nationalities. A great lodging experience.

- NICOLE (6/5): Tent location and Generator - Stayed in adventure village, where we were positioned right next to the camp generator. This was very unpleasant as they started up the generator around 06h00 daily. One evening it even ran up until 23h00 after we asked them to turn it off. The tents were not full, our feeling is that we could have been placed in a better unit due to the length of stay. First taxi fair from the airport was ridiculously expensive and not related to any of the other taxi fees we paid during our stay.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Old stand alone structures. We stayed in an upstairs room with an old, wooden, external stair to the room. I discussed with the family how we would escape if there was a fire. There was no fire alert system. If the wooden stairs were on fire, it was a 10 foot drop over the balcony onto the grass. There were a multitude of mosquitoes in the room. Thank goodness for the mosquito nets over the beds at night. The lodge staff were very pleasant.

I even asked if the restaurant can make my Gran a small cake for her birthday and they were more than willing to help. Adventure company on premises to help with booking of other activities.

But in the morning we’ve been informed that only continental breakfast ( literally they had only bread and butter with ham and yogurt) are included and if you want anything else is $10/ person which was a disappointment. - Verified traveler (8/5): - The setting was great. I had a riverfront chalet directly in front of the Zambezi. Very quiet, nice room, clean, with bottled water and coffee/tea. Breakfast was pretty good. Takes only 5-7 minutes to drive to Livingstone and it was only about 15 mins from the border by taxi. Lodge took several currencies and the staff were friendly.
- Gloria (4/5): What you see is not always what you get!!!! - We were saddened by the room that we were given. It was not what was shown on your website. Therefore we ended up paying over R12000 to stay where we wanna stay on top of what we paid already.

The bar/restaurant is right on the banks of the Zambezi, one evening (enjoying a crocodile kebab) we saw a crocodile swim past upstream then come back later with a buck in his jaws. Some rooms are in the main block with views over the river but we were in an adventure lodge, one of 16 chalets in a square. It was compact but comfortable with all amenities including air con. It’s right on the edge of the national park so game drives start at the gate (top tip: get an early start)

Had a lovely chalet, had beautiful experience in the tent, the staff are well trained and of high integrity. Very kind staff. Food portions were massive and well prepared. - James (8/5): Great Atmosphere and Value for Money - We stayed in tented accommodation at this venue, but will not make use of it again, even for two persons the tent is too small. Have looked at the chalets which are excellent will, definitely make use of them on a next visit. Location of this venue is excellent close to town center and Victoria falls and great views along the Zambesi river. Staff are very friendly and professional and foods are well prepared, especially the pizzas. The restaurant and bar has a great vibe after a day out on excursions.

Good food, good staff, clean rooms, and with Saf Par activities on site it was so easy to coordinate things. They were great about answering all our questions. We had quite a few mosquitoes in our room but that’s hard to help and they came and sprayed the room during our stay which was great. We were in the four person chalet with inside bathroom which was just fine. Thanks for a great visit!!!
- R W (10/5): - Wonderful location with very friendly staff and on this, my second stay, I found there is now wifi in the rooms. A very well managed bus service to the falls/border/town and excellent value compared with other hotels in the vicinity.

- Darryl (10/5): Victoria Falls Waterfront stay! - From the time we arrived the staff were excellent & helpfull. The rooms are very nice, with great beds (ours was a double), airconditioned and nice big showers. The bar, and meals I cannot fault !! We will be staying again in two years time.
- RM (4/5): Not as requested. By waterfront but far from falls - Facilities not necessarily hotel but camping site. I asked for a hotel when booking and I specified at least 4 stars. I was booked in on a campsite with three single beds for a family of three Staff charged me for checking in and yet it was their system that was not working

- Devon (2/5): Shower was broken, We were accused of breaking it - Had originally booked tented accommodation, but after a long day of driving decided to upgrade to a chalet. First impressions were poor, it was a bit dirty, and the place smelt like it had just been fumigated. regarding the smell, I'd rather that then tons of bug bites. we left to eat at the bar, (food was good) then called it a night. In the am we tried to use the shower, there was no hot water and the cold water tap fell apart when turning it on. We had to leave early but advised the manager upon check out. We were accused of breaking the shower and he implied we might be liable for costs of repairs.
- Michael (6/5): Poor value for money. - In comparison to similarly priced accommodation, the Victoria Falls Waterfront offer is very poor value for money. Their advertising is very misleading in that they claim to offer airport transfers etc., but we found out that this is then charged at exorbitant rates. Free area shuttle is only valid in one direction etc. Facility requires update and maintenance.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Save your money and stay somewhere else - This hotel is *very* rustic and feels like a hostel stay. For example, only 2 hairdryers are available in the entire hotel and you have to check them out for use. The executive suite is overpriced and super old, with oudtated furniture and no sound isolation between bedroom and bathroom. It does have a terrific view of the river, but there is constant helicopter traffic overhead, so if you are looking for a quite getaway, this is not it. The hotel staff were nice, but not as welcoming and accomodating as in Protea Hotel in Livingstone. In short, we booked the executive suite expecting a great stay and were very dissapointed with everything from rooms to breakfast service. Bad value for money.
- Mel & Gabe (10/5): The tent camping was excellent! - I would definitely stay in the tents again! It was a bit cold at night but the staff was helpful in getting me an extra blanket! The bathrooms/showers were great except for the amount of mosquitos! But plenty of hot water! The place had a great restaurant/bar and overall we had a lovely time! Oh and the buffet breakfast was delicious!! And they had great French press coffee! They also have a great place to book excursions and a free shuttle to the falls! For the price, the place was perfect!
- Benjamin (10/5): Great Views, Fantastic Location, Ok Rooms - The central focus of the property is a large deck overlooking the Zambezi encompassing a bar, a pool, the restaurant and activity booking centre. It has fantastic views and is a great place to spend a morning, afternoon or evening. The bar is a great place to meet some locals as well, drinks and food are reasonably priced. The activities booking staff are friendly and helpful, but haggle determinedly on price. I recommend the dinner cruise (leaving from the deck outside the hotel), the white water rafting (whole-day or half-day) and the steam train for dinner.
- Richard (8/5): Good value on the Zambezi river. - Beautiful location right on the river. Rooms were well appointed, but the maid service was marginal at best, leaving dirty towels and water on bathroom floor. Very friendly and attentive staff otherwise.

- Christopher (6/5): - Very nice place with view of the River and miss from the falls from the dinner/bar are. Food was good and the beer was cold. I stayed in one of there tents with two twin beds in a nice grassy area. The matteresses were terrible and I work up with a sore back both nights and the light switch for Lamp in the tent had a problematic switch in which it did not want to try off.
