• Luca (10/5): Eccezionale - Mini Appartamento indipendente davanti alla struttura ampio pulito con letto grande e tutto quello che serve. Staff eccezionale ! Una gentilissima addetta che parlava italiano ci ha aiutato perfino pagando con sua carta di credito inglese una multa per divieto di sosta presa giorni prima e che non riuscivamo a pagare on line perché alla fine dava sempre errore! Ovviamente le abbiamo restituito cash . Nulla . Tutto perfetto

• Close (1/5): Avoid the apartment!! - Staff were very nice and helpful. The 2 bedroom apartment was filthy and definitely not suitable for a wedding party of 5 people. Perhaps a stag or hen party...but even that's at a push. The location of the apartment, the stinky bins outside the main door, the lack of cleanliness throughout....
• Jo (1/5): Never again - When we checked in it was not a warm welcoming experience. The member of staff showed us to our “apartment”. It was dark and dingy. It was two bedrooms and a kitchen/living room, 2 bathrooms. All the appliances were old and filthy. There were cobwebs all over the place. The bathrooms were dirty and the whole place looked as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. There was no way we could have slept there. We consequently checked out and checked into another hotel. Everything……we didn’t end up staying there because of the poor hygiene.

Der var the, kaffe og kakao samt vandkoger. Morgenmad var ok. Man kunne tilkøbe div. æg mm. Kort gåtur til bymidte og tæt Christ Church. Super imødekommende og hjælpsomt personale. Bolt kørte ikke til adressen.
• Ben (9/5): A lovely pied-a-terre from which to explore Oxford - The staff were really friendly and helpful - this did make me feel well-looked after. The room was spacious and well furnished with a lovely entrance hall. The cafe as a location for breakfast was a lovely way to start the day and the breakfast was just right. The location was just far enough outside of the city centre to be quiet, but close enough to be walkable in under 10 minutes. It was also easy to get to from the Oxford Southern Bypass. My only criticisms were that the car park wasn't very well signposted (it's on a dead-end quiet back street) and I had a slight plumbing issue in the bathroom (which did resolve itself and the bathroom was clean and well-decorated). Although once I was able to leave my car and go to reception in the cafe, I was directed to parking which was safe and easy.

• Isabel (3/5): Bedroom covered in dust - The people working there are lovely. The bedroom was extremly dusty and you could feel it when breathing. The bed lights didn’t work. The bathroom wasn’t properly clean. The breakfast was very poor quality.

• leen (8/5): Nice stay very near to town center - Spacious flat Great beds Close to town center Parking space costs 29 pounds/day but 20 pound of it can be spent in their café. We took english breakfast for 5 on the day of departure. On the day of departure the car can stay till 1 pm while check out is 11 am. We were allowed a late check out at 1 pm so that we could still visit town in the morning and leave our luggage in the appartment till 1 pm. No warm water for 5 people to shower (at least not in the evening). A amount of 150 pounds is asked at check in for the parking and what you eventually might spend in the café during your stay. The rest is refunded on check out. Booking did not mention this. Old building. Appartment on the 3rd floor.

• Laura (8/5): Great place to spend 3 nights, excellent and quiet for sleeping and a beautiful walk into Oxford. - The hotel is in a lovely quiet residential area. The rooms were comfortable and easy to relax in. The staff was friendly and did their very best to help us with things we needed. The ventilation in the bathrooms was weak, so it could be humid at times. This isn't a luxury hotel but that's what we liked about it. Walls and wires were older and weird, but didn't affect our stay at all. It is charming in a residential kind of way.

Das warme Wasser in der Dusche hat nur gelegentlich funktioniert. Es war im April kalt in der Wohnung, die Heizung im Schlafzimmer war nicht regelbar. Wir haben nachts gefroren.

Really easy walk to centre of Oxford The bath didn’t operate like a bath even though it looked like one in the picture, could only do a shower. El personal una maravilla, todas las mujeres que nos atendieron en la cafetería eran un encanto (gracias!). El desayuno delicioso y también la cena. Calidad precio acertado. Teníamos un apartamento de 2 habitaciones. Comedor y cocina amplio y correcto para 7 personas (4 adultos y 3 niños). Había un baño completo y un aseo con wc y pila. Perfecto para organizarnos tantas personas. El apartamento era amplio pero los dormitorios muy justos, aunque nos podíamos apañar. Éramos una familia de 3 y otra de 4. En la descripción de los dormitorios, ponía que uno de ellos tenía una cama doble extragrande (genial para la familia de 3) y el otro 2 camas dobles (perfecto para la de 4). Sin embargo, no fue así: la habitación con una sola cama era una cama doble muy justa (135 cm) por lo que dormimos muy incómodos (2 adultos y 1 niño). Por lo que la descripción de las camas de cada habitación no era real y eso no nos pareció bien. La limpieza era la justa. Había zonas que estaban un poco descuidadas.

Excellent location, close to the river, just 10-15 min walk to Chist Church College. We had a room just above the kitchen and the smell was a bit disturbing.

(7/5): This apartment met our needs for our short 2 night stay, but somewhere else next time for us. - easy check-in, ground floor room, comfy beds, lots of space 2nd toilet never did work - it was clogged upon our arrival and took about an hour to trickle refill the tank after flushing to try and clear it; staff was slow to respond, but did attempt to fix it with unclogging chemicals. It still never worked and my impression was that the front desk girl didn't actually believe that there is a problem. The plumbing needs to be fixed in order for this toilet to work - it doesn't flush and it takes forever to fill the tank. The other toilet was fine. The living room and kitchen area smelled musty and gross, and it turned out the carpet was soaking wet by the sofa. Might be the humidifier in the corner leaked or there is a leak in the floorboard allowing rain in or a plumbing issue. The place was definitely clean, but it really could use some attention to making it not look so old and used. The caulking is cracked and discolored all over the bathrooms. The step in front of the shower is flimsy from age, has gaps in the edges, and takes on water no matter what you do with the under-sized shower curtain. IMO, a little updating to this place and attention to repairs and preventing water damage from use would make it really awesome. Parking for 29 pounds a night seems excessive to me, so I parked elsewhere and walked. There are hotels just down the main road with parking for 10 pounds a night.

• Brian (10/5): Excellent Stay for Large Family Walking Distance from Oxford Center - Ethos Hotel has just the right accommodations for a large-ish family of six. Their apartment was well equipped for us to eat in. It was clean and in a nice neighborhood a few minutes walk south of Christ Church College and Carfax Tower, so a convenient place from which to start exploring Oxford. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Nothing whatsoever

• James (9/5): Value for money in comfortable accommodation. - Bit of a quirky hotel but still very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Staff are very nice. Facilities in rooms very good. Hotel layout is "unusual" making it a bit quirky but that was no drawback. Only issue is with parking which isn't ideal but we got by with what was available.
• Yvonne (4/5): So called pre-booked parking was a joke, had to put a down payment on check-in which needed to be spent on their cafe, - The location was good, that’s all I can say about it It was dated, worn and very basic

• Lesley (5/5): - The location was good being close enough to walk to the town centre however the apartment was shabby and rundown and desperately needed some TLC. There was spilt milk in the fridge which had been there for a while and absolutely stunk. It was very difficult to shut the shower door and the water temperature fluctuated between freezing cold and boiling hot making for a very uncomfortable experience. Shabby and rundown desperately in need of some TLC

• Surinder (8/5): We had a great stay at a place we've stayed in before and the reception is friendly and welcoming . - We had a good stay - many thanks. We have stayed before so are used to the location. We could have used an extra blanket at night because of the cold... Having said that the breakfast was awesome (as always) and the reception great, friendly and very helpful. Please see about the blanket at night.

• Shun (7/5): Overall It is ok - Staffs were all very friendly and helpful. Very delicious breakfast. Bed and room were comfortable. Location is ok, 10-15 minutes of working distance to the city center. I know there is no elevator so I requested the ground floor room. And was surprised that the room is outside the hotel in a separate door which I felt unsafe at night.

• Sharon (5/5): Very disappointed not to get what we booked and paid for - Obviously having a refurbishment and rooms very modern inside Booked a 2 bedroom apartment for our daughter’s graduation so we would have separate bedrooms but be together as a family, ended up in 2 separate rooms in completely different buildings. Reason given maintenance issue yet it was already occupied.

• Anna (2/5): would hire the staff, but will not stay there again. - The staff and food could not have been better. The flat that we were in had water on the floor, deteriorating linoleum, a terrible mold odor and spider webs.

• Andy (8/5): Great location and reasonable price. - Excellent location to both park and ride and the city. Reasonable price for B&B with friendly staff. Our room was a decent size above the cafe with coffee, fridge and enormous TV. Bathroom OK with a static overhead shower, no mixer rail. Heating was fine with an extra plug in radiator if needed - it’s a big bed with sheets and blanket, but despite no duvet we weren’t cold. Good choice of cereals, juice and coffee for breakfast which was included in our booking - we had the full English too which set us up for the day. We were able to leave our suitcase after checkout at the property whilst exploring Oxford for the day. Use the park and ride for £4.50, it’s well worth it to save on parking and congestion charges. Bus on main road is very frequent and only a few stops away from Redbridge car park. Easy 15 minute walk into town. Nothing to dislike, the price we paid was reflective of the property.
