Guest Reviews
- austin c (10/5): - Excellent location...great staff
- Jonathan (8/5): - Everything was great with the room. It was on the old side, but perfectly clean as you can imagine. Generally, it was a good value for money. My only complaint was that there was an intermittent pounding noise. It was as though somebody had a business in one of the rooms and was chopping something or chiseling something or maybe it was a type of construction. I’m not sure. I only mention it because it made napping impossible. They stopped at 6 PM so it wasn’t an issue at night and they started later in the day around 10 AM In all honesty, I want to take a nap before I start my evening so I changed hotels. I’m not sure if this will be a problem in the future or not but it’s the only bad thing I could say about the place. The staff and everybody there was super nice to me.
- anders (8/5): Helt okej - Rent och centralt

ナイトマーケットやホアヒンビーチに歩いてすぐ行けます。価格重視な方におすすめします。
- Thitima (10/5): - Clean room with TV, air con and fridge. Lobby open 24h. Plenty of restaurants around. Able to walk to the markets. Easy to get to the tourist attractions by minibus (SongTaew). Free drinking water and soaps, no shampoo.
- Lee (10/5): - Great location near center of town.
- Mark (10/5): Excellent guesthouse. - Excellent guesthouse with clean rooms and friendly staff.
- Pierre (10/5): - Very clean, quiet, near the night market, not far from the beach and the owner is very nice and helpful
- Burt (8/5): - Good value right in middle of town with many restaurants and bars and street vendors nearby. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.
- Brian (10/5): - I was the only Farang in the neighborhood but was well taken care of. Perfect location close to many destinations. Walk out of the hotel, turn left and there's the night street food market. Out of the hotel and right, 2 doors down is an excellent Thai breakfast. Rice soup with fish or pork and Chinese dumplings are amazing. Thai coffee, as well.
- Mark (10/5): Good value for money hotel - Great value for money basic hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and good location.
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable, Family-Run, Great Value Guesthouse - This is my third stay at Thassanee, and I am looking forward to one more stay early next month. This family-run guesthouse is even better than the reviews suggest. My room had everything I needed, including good aircon, hot water, cable TV with English channels, fridge, and room safe, which is much more than I would expect at this price range. It is reasonably quiet, and I love the location near the older part of Hua Hin. There is a small but good local food night market that pops up just out front each evening.
- Mrs Angela (10/5): - We have stayed here 3 times and love the location and the friendly staff
- John (10/5): - Clean, friendly service, good location, stayed a week and had a very comfortable stay,

- Wai Seng (8/5): Thasanee Guesthouse - A good budget hotel.
Done a wrong booking on non air-condition room. Manage to upgrade by top up at the counter during midnight. Rooms are clean and location are just nice. Easy to find local foods
- Jan (8/5): Good service - Very good service. Bed to hard for my back but overall the room is worth the money
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Like aroud thé hôtel lot off street food lot choice and 15 minute wack to the beach
- simon (8/5): Good value with no frills - The place was clean and in a good location.
If you don't like stairs then this hotel may not be for you as no elevator and the rooms start on the 3rd floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good ! Very nice Guesthouse , you can go there , near of Hua Hin center
- Wendela (10/5): Trevligt i Hua Hin - Trevligt hotell, hårda sängar men rent och bra städning. Gratis kaffe/te hela dagen. Ganska bra internet. På det hela taget allt bra.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice guesthouse. Central to the action and markets.
- Morten (8/5): Mye for pengene - Bra beliggenhet i hjertet av Hua Hin
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were very helpful I stayed on the top floor so had to carry all my bags up no left I only had a fan in the room which was old and very loud. Did not make for a good night sleep.....
- Morten (8/5): I love this place - Very nice place. I've been there at least five times before.
- Karin (8/5): Had a good stay in the Thasanee Guesthouse - The stuff is very friendly and helpful, my stay was good, the room is simple, but the bed in comfy. The location is very good (Night Market 4 Min to walk), everything easy to reach by foot and food stalls all around. I enjoyed the free coffee in the morning in the lobby and felt all over good in the Thasanee Guesthouse
- Susan (8/5): Good location - This GH is very well located, very near to the night market in city centre and beach. Night life area also nearby.
- Eveliina (8/5): Great value - The hostel is very clean, only minus is that they let people smoke in the hallways and the smoke gets in to the rooms aswell. Staff is superfriendly and helpful. Location is near the night market and 10 min walk from the beach. We found the area really safe - especially since they lock the frontdoor at midnight. Good waterpressure in the shower and a safe in room.
We did find a cockroach in our room (staff helped us get rid of it). Staff told us that they have never had one before and we didn't see anymore of them.
- Kevin (10/5): Convenient and clean. Kind & helpful 5 Star serv. - While not wanting to divulge personal info. Suffice it to say. The management team have " hearts of gold " and will never be forgotten for their kindness and compassion by this traveler
- sean (10/5): Visited Sept 2016 - Fine budget guesthouse suitable for long or short stays.
Good: Clean rooms, comfy bed, free bottled water, daily housekeeping, safe in room, good sized wardrobe with hangers, laundry, TV with english satellite channels, good sized bafhroom, A/C. Very well located for down town Hua Hin. Beach (jetty) 5 mins walk, and further 5 mins to good beach. Numerous food stalls and local restaurants on doorstep. Bars and tourrist restaurants 5mins walk away. Excellent night market 3mins walk away. Very attentive staff. Family run.
Needs work: shower temp too cool, hotel allows smoking which can penetrate non smoking rooms
- choo (8/5): Nice room design and classic hotel - Room design is great, rommantic, clean and quite.location is center of city.
- Ernest (10/5): No frills, affordable and comfortable room - For the low price this was a very good room. The hotel manager is very nice. The lobby is homely with magazines and antiques. The room had a TV, free wifi, a cupboard, a table, amd a small fridge and that's about it.
There was no air-conditioning but a mosquito net keeps insects out. Also there was no lift but it was still fine because we stayed at the 4th floor, and the roof (where you can see the sea) is accessible on the 5th floor.
The location is also accessible to both the beach and night market. The train station (where we arrived from) is about 15 minutes' walk away. There are good eateries just down the street in both directions.
Overall for the low price we paid for the hotel this is very value for money,
- Bobby (8/5): Very nice family but the room is rather old - The good thing about this hotel is that the family was extremely friendly and willing to extra miles to help you. The location was near many fun places, such as night market and bars. The food around this area was yummy as well. It only took me 5 mins to bike to the beach.
However, since the room I stayed wasn't equipped with air-condition, it was a bit unbearable to stay in the room at day. The bathroom was rather old and the room was dusty. Nevertheless, the experience was great for the price.
- Handy Nomads (8/5): Very clean budget hotel - This guesrhouse is at walking distance from the train station in Hua Hin and the beach .It is very clean and the owners are friendly and helpfull. At night there there is many food stands right on the street near the hotel. Good value for the money. Would go back again.
- shyama (8/5): Great location! - Great stay. Room was clean. Woman downstairs was kind and helpful. We had a fan room which got pretty hot in the daytime. Next time I'd opt for AC. Movie channels in English were a bonus and the rate was a steal! Water fill up downstairs made coffee in the am convenient and refilling our water bottles sustainable!
- Franziska (8/5): Value for money. - I can not complain at all. Stayed here for Christmas in busy Hua Hin for $12 a night. Considering the price one can really not complain.
The beds seemed clean. The bedcover was old and had stains on it-however it was probably washed. The bathroom was odd, since there were 2 almost empty rolls of toilet paper and 2 used soaps. I do understand about saving...but I dont want to use other people's soap. Plus there was no new soap provided...there were green soap stains all around the washing basin (the used soap in the shower was white color) so i assume the bathroom was not cleaned well. Some of the furniture was run down/old,which happens in humid places. Overall I can not say it was very dirty. I just think the bathroom could have been cleaned better and the old soaps thrown away.
The room was ok,comfy bed,TV many english channels, free coffee/tea in the lounge...good location...people were nice and didn't really pay much attention to you. at checking in a puzzled man really worried me cause it seemed like he never heard of my reservation. He searched the books for ages but my name was totally written down.
In hopes the bathroom is cleaned better next time i would stay here again and for the price i can recommend it !
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great simple accomodation in central location - We enjoyed our two night stay in this guesthouse. Very welcoming appearance and room was simple but all we needed. Good nights sleep both nights. Great airconditioning and fan. Bathroom was clean although water pressure wasn't the best in the world. We would definitely be back
- Joe (10/5): Great stay! - The hotel is just off the main road so it is easy to find and nice and quiet at night.
Rooms are clean, light, well equiped, t.v has many international channels.
In house family are very friendly and always have a smile to welcome you back from your day out.Young female receptionist is very professional with good English.
Lots of food choices in same street and very close to night market.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel in central location. - Hotel is in a great location next to many food options. Hotel was clean and the room is a good size. There is free tea/coffee and use of a microwave in reception. Fan was old so it could have been cooler. The manager was very attentive, always checking if we needed new towels or water. Overall a great place for the money.
- Julia (8/5): Clean, good location but no elevator - We stayed for just a night here after arriving fairly late from a train from Bangkok. Thasanee was about a 15 minute walk from the train station which was great because the taxis in Hua Hin are a major rip off. There was also a lot of food options available and about a dozen food vendors directly in the alley of the hotel. The market is also near by and the beach is walking distance although the nicer part of the beach is a few kilometres away. The room was clean and the owners are friendly although there is no elevator so we had to carry our heavy luggage up 6 floors on our own. The owners are elderly and we wouldn't ask them to do it for us. Other than that, great clean stay for a short trip.
- Marilyn (6/5): Very uncomfortable bed - I would love to give the Thassanee Guesthouse a better rating but we unfortunately had a very bad sleep because of the very hard bed. We are used to the fact that beds in Thailand are a bit more firm than at home but this one is nor even comfortable for sitting on it.
Otherwise the guesthouse is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful (even though we ckecked in at 3am). Great location! Everything you need is within short walking distance (7/11, Hua Hin Night Market, Beach, Railway and Bus Stations...) and it's located in a quiet Soi. It was a bit hard to find because google maps gets confused with Thai street naming systems. If you look for it on google maps look for "Soi Sumpeng, Hua Hin" or "Hua Hin 55/1 Alley" because there is a lot of little side alleys where you easily can get lost.
The guesthouse has 4 floors and no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage or problems with stairs, try to arrange a room in the lower levels. There is also a rooftop where you can watch the sunset.
- Verified traveler (8/5): four stars likes - Everything is nice, location is nice to town n going public transport.. I love the place so much, only the problem is about no lift.. We need walk by staircase back to our room..
- LisA (6/5): You've Got To Have Good Knees to make it work - Well, I'm not sure if I'm even qualified to rate this hotel. While I did pay for the room, I wasn't able to stay there. When I arrived to pick up the key, I was escorted to my room by a very nice lady, however, the room was on the 4th floor and there was no elevator. My husband has had one knee replacement and needs another so the climb of 4 flights of stairs was impossible, not to mention with 4 suite cases. I did make the climb and the room was just that...A room. If I had to guess, I'd say about 10X12 with a double bed (thin and extremely hard martress), a fan and a 13' TV.
